No diss to my mother, because her cooking is much better than yours anyway. But I wish her fried chicken would be as good as Chicky Moon's. Chicky Moon chicken pieces and hot wings are world class. The meat was well cooked and tender. The crust is nice and crispy and really sits on the skin. God is my witness and if I could ventriloquize my stomach would have said the same thing. Keep it up guys! But please don't become more expensive :)

Recently I had the opportunity to dine at Grande Selene, an Italian restaurant in the heart of Bussum. This restaurant has a long history and is clearly a popular spot for locals and outside visitors alike. Atmosphere and ambiance Upon entering it immediately feels warm and welcoming. The decor is classic Italian with a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. What is striking is the homely appearance, without it feeling old-fashioned. The wood-burning oven, which is central to the kitchen, contributes to the authentic experience. Food and drinks The menu offers a wide range of Italian dishes, from classic pasta to freshly prepared pizzas. I opted for a pizza from the wood-fired oven, and it certainly did not disappoint. The base was thin and crispy, just like a good Neapolitan pizza should be. The toppings were fresh and flavorful, without being overpowering. My dining companion chose a fresh pasta with truffle sauce, which was perfectly prepared and had a deep, creamy flavor. The wine list is extensive enough to find a good match with your dish, and the house wine turned out to be a pleasant surprise: smooth and well balanced. Service The service was friendly and professional without being pushy. The waitress gave some good suggestions and clearly knew what she was talking about. Even though the restaurant was quite full, we didn't have to wait long for our food. Price-quality In terms of price level, Grande Selene is in the middle class. However, for the quality of the food and the ambiance, I thought it was definitely worth it. It is not a cheap pizzeria, but not an overly expensive restaurant either. Conclusion If you are looking for an authentic Italian restaurant with a warm atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious dishes, Grande Selene is definitely recommended. Whether you fancy a classic pasta or a wood-fired pizza, you've come to the right place. I will definitely come back!
