Delicious food in a beautiful building. Quite noisy, though.

Incredibly delicious food. It's a shared dining concept with small bites. Two people ate six rounds, and there was plenty of food. The service was excellent! Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful evening with friends over the weekend and the food was absolutely delicious! It was great to share all the dishes. Roan was very enthusiastic and helpful. It was still busy late into the evening (7:45 PM), which made it a bit noisy. Still, it was a successful evening.

Rowan was fantastic. We let him choose all the dishes, and every single one was delicious. He does it with great flair. The food was delicious, but Rowan really made the evening. And my date.

It's always a treat to eat here. It's a shame, though, that they use time slots, meaning you have to make a reservation after more than two hours (though sometimes you can get lucky 😇). Our waiter was very friendly, attentive, and helpful. We'd love to come back!

We ate here a year ago, and that same evening, everything came out. Whether that was due to the food or another virus, I don't know. Otherwise, the atmosphere was pleasant. It's just a shame that so many dishes had cilantro in them. We asked if they could do without it, but many dishes already had it. They also forgot to remove it a few times. We wouldn't be back, but I think others will.

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere. We had several small dishes to share. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't particularly tasty either. The restrooms were downright filthy. It smelled, the toilet seat was halfway off the bowl, and the floor was sticky. All in all, I won't be back anytime soon.

Fantastic place! The atmosphere as soon as you enter is warm, Mediterranean, cozy, yet modern. The welcome and service were spot on from the very first minute. A friendly and knowledgeable hostess helped us all evening, explaining everything thoroughly and being attentive to our every need. The food was exquisite, beautifully presented, with fantastic flavors and lovely combinations. Highly recommended, especially for the price, which is excellent!

The information on the website raised high expectations. We had reserved a table in the courtyard but were given a high table with bar stools near the door, as apparently a large group had booked it. If you want to change tables, that's fine, but please let us know in advance. The food was tasty, but not exceptional. The same goes for the wine we ordered. We found it annoying that they charged €2 per person for tap water. The staff is very friendly, but a bit rushed. The decor is nice, but the acoustics are truly terrible. When it's full and there are large groups, it's almost impossible to hear each other. The bill, however, was reasonable.

We tried 5 different thing on diner menu and all of them were quite tasty. They were variety of Mediterranean food, but each of them were unique delicious version of old recipe. As a desert, we tried knafeh. It was also very different than usual taste, but very delicious and creative. All in all, l recommend this place who would like to try interesting but delicious variation of Mediterranean food.

First of all: The food and service are remarkably good, with very interesting Maghreb accents. We had booked with a group of 15. The restaurant informed us that for groups of this size, only two menus were available: a regular and a vegetarian one. This wasn't made clear during the reservation process, so one star is missing for service. Part of our group then left the restaurant. Those who stayed thoroughly enjoyed the menu and the friendly service.

We were seated and served quickly, and our food arrived in no time. Despite the efficiency, nothing felt rushed, just smooth and seamless service. The food itself was an experience. Every dish offered incredible flavors and textures, making it a real treat to try a bit of everything. Everything tasted freshly prepared and carefully crafted, turning the meal into something more than just dinner. It felt like a culinary journey. One small note is that the background music didn’t always match the rest of the ambiance. The atmosphere was so refined and artistic that sometimes the playlist felt slightly out of place. That said, it wasn’t enough to take away from the overall experience. The location couldn’t be better, right in the heart of Utrecht, surrounded by beautiful architecture and within easy walking distance from the station. While the prices are on the higher side, the quality of the food, the setting, and the overall experience make it absolutely worth it. A must-visit in Utrecht if you’re looking for an elevated dining experience in a gorgeous, atmospheric setting.

World class! The decor, service, drinks and the small shareable dishes are incredibly good. The lamb is tender like butter and the fried cauliflower is delicious. There are also good wines and a great pistaccio tiramisu to finish. The prices are very decent. A very pleasant experience.

From the refined flavor combinations to the fresh and colorful presentation: every plate was a little feast! The service deserves a compliment, in our opinion. The staff is friendly and attentive. The dishes were served remarkably quickly, without compromising the quality or presentation. All in all, Carmel Market is a restaurant that perfectly balances quality, ambiance, and service. The delicious Mediterranean food, the beautiful interior, and the excellent service make this restaurant an absolute must-visit!
