Absolutely wonderful food! The teppan was served like a dinner show. All ramen dishes were excellent. Come here if you get a chance!

Bang for your buck. Consistently good noodles, nothing too fancy or complicated. Only thing missing is the option to add toppings and a soy egg. Also: extra spicy is extremely spicy.. careful. 8/10 Went there again— really lovely woman working there. The ‘extra spicy’ was indeed still very spicy but I just like my lips burning.. also their miso broth is delicious. The crispy chicken nice and crispy. My friend had the same order but NOT spicy and she still enjoyed the flavor of hers. I like the idea of their shaped egg but it’s a bit too hard for my liking. 9/10

Nice little restaurant with delicious ramen. It is so small that the stock is fresh for under the bar 😁 I ate ramen (this is written differently everywhere, I don't remember how they wrote it), slightly spicy. Delicious meat. Shrimp dim sum and gioza in advance. Both recommended.

Great price/value with quick and friendly service. Fried toppings for my ramen were served separately so they don’t get soaked. The home made lemon iced tea was also really good. Regarding authenticity: the menu showed marinated eggs, but I received a strangely shaped boiled egg. Not very authentic (even though other reviewers seem to claim it is) but good ramen nonetheless!

I have now been to every ramen restaurant and eaten off-court. Verdict ICI ramen NUMBER 1!..even the cooked shrimp has flavor! I can't say that about the other restaurants in the city of Utrecht.

Good food and friendly service. If you are used to the spice level of Dutch restaurants, you have to know that they follow the international standard here. The level "spice" it was too much for my husband and he really like hot food. He said that the "half spice" it was enough. If you are sensitive to pepper, may be better choose without spice or the half spice. We had a duck ramen (17€) and a pork ramen (15€). The strawberry tea (6€) was delicious. We didn't have a reservation and they had sits available for two in a saturday night.

A simple place, well located, authentic food, the ramen are simple and very delicious, good price, fast service. Informal atmosphere.

It was okay. The ramen was spicy even though I didn't order spicy but maybe he just misunderstood me, but my biggest problem was the gyoza because they were SO MUCH TOO HOT I completely burned the top of my mouth. Otherwise the taste was quite good, I would recommend the homemade iced teas and especially the mochi

Very tasty meal! I came here to eat ramen by myself and I wasn't too bothered by staff and I really liked that. Staff were also patient and friendly and even though it took a little longer, I received delicious food in return. There are also charging points and a coat rack next to my table, which I found very useful! The price is also not too high and is certainly accompanied by quality! The atmosphere of the restaurant is not very extravagant , but simple and comfortable.

The environment is not the best but the food is great! Especially the noodles with beef or pork, they are baked and roasted. Didn’t expected it before. Staffs are also friendly

Best ramen in town, dont be fooled by the bad reviews. Sate lembu and spicy miso ramen are the best. They are always full so just call for a table so you wont get dissapointed when u get in. Nice for a quick bite. Good food for a fair price. I’m a regular here, and get treated like one. Cheers!

Great restaurant to enjoy Asian cuisine. Initially walked in for ramen and eventually opted for a hot platter with rice. Everything is freshly prepared. At the table, your dish is topped with the sauce of your choice. It tasted delicious!

Visually, the restaurant could be a little nicer, but they serve really good ramen here. The cha siu tastes incredible and the miso is great. The location is of course great! Definitely again on your next visit to Utrecht.

Amazing ramen, friendly people and a very nice fibe

I came across the restaurant today in Utrecht central. The restaurant is small. When I arrived I only saw 2 people work, 1 work as server and 1 work as chef; hence, you need to be patient for your food. I order pork ramen with the creamy Tonkotsu broth and it was delicious. At the end the broth was a bit salty for my own taste but I also choose to eat less salt for many years. It took 15 minutes for my food to be ready. I hope there are more seaweed on the ramen 😁

First of all, this is not authentic Japanese ramen. It's not even close to ramen. It's more a sort of fusion I guess. The noodle is not chewy at all, and the soup is plain. Considering the mediocre quality it is no doubt overpriced.

The veggie ramen is very delicious, very tasty. The portion is an ideal size (neither a little nor a lot). I was so focused on eating that I forgot to take photos! I had the Asahi beer, which was also very refreshing. The atmosphere is relaxed and there was a kitten that accompanied us while we ate. Perfect!

The food was nice, but staff was very rude and it was now allowed to drink my water. And very long waiting time. My mood was spoiled due to the rudeness of the waiter

The ramen turned out to be good. That's where the positives end. Staff was rude, I have never met anything like this. We were forbidden to drink tea from our thermos, although we came in wet from the rain and wanted to warm up. On the other hand, we waited about 50 minutes for the ordered drinks and food. answered basic questions about types of noodles and types of ramen with such displeasure as if we had asked it ten times in a row. I don’t recommend it in general, I advise the staff to consider other career prospects.

Believe the hype! Super yummy. The iced tea is a must try. There is a reason everyone talks about it in their reviews. We had the Bao buns, chicken lumpia, fried pork dumplings, and sesame balls. Everything was so tasty.

After a few bad experiences with Japanese ramen restaurants in Utrecht, there was finally light at the end of the tunnel at ICI Ramen Tepan. What delicious things we had today! It started with the ice tea, the Lemongrass is definitely recommended, with fresh limes and lemon wedges. The starters (no. 13 and no. 17) were surprisingly tasty, with whole shrimp in the prawn dumplings and accompanying 'sauces'. Very affordable for the quality. The ramen was also very tasty, the duck had a wonderful smoky flavor and the tonkotsu was full of flavor. The man who brought the food was very nice, polite and spoke Dutch and English, all in all a customer-friendly experience. After reading the other comments I was a bit afraid that we would have to wait a very long time for our food, but that was not the case. I didn't feel rushed and was able to enjoy a nice meal afterwards. I'll definitely return!

The frames are ok so don't expect too much. After choosing the framework, you still have to choose the soup base. I can recommend the pork bone broth with various ramen, the other soup bases are rather bland in taste. Bring your time as there is only one service.👍

The server was extremely rude bordering on racist. I simply asked him for a menu - I did not do so in a standoffish or rude way - and he yelled at me to sit down so he could bring it to me. The food is not authentic Japanese ramen but some sort of Hong Kong fusion ramen that didn’t even taste that great. Avoid this one and try a different ramen place.

Perfect concept for tasty Japanese food, A la Japan, no atmosphere just tasty ramen. I am super sensitive to food, but this was perfect, no stomach ache or discomfort from the food, so super clean and tasty. Please note that the 'mid spicy' is spicy 🤣

It took a very long time for the food to be served, and the service attitude was not good. One of my friends had diarrhea after eating.

The food is tasty, it tastes very good, but it doesn't look “as promised”. We had to wait a long time and were seated (with a reservation) next to a stack of crates with empty bottles, a separate table and next to the meter cupboard. Very unpleasant. The front door opens inward, towards our table. That makes our stay during our dinner uncomfortable.

Small and simple looking place with AMAZING traditional food. You can really taste the authentic flavours. Personally I had the peking duck tepan which was really nice. Definitely recommend if you want to have good Asian food!

Upon entry wait staff were quite cold more interested in having a private conversation than serving customers. Had to go and get the staff to order again was quite rude and rushed. Had the duck ramen and xao dumplings luckily the food was better than his attitude.

I have been eating here for the past 2 years. The ramen is the best one I’ve ever eaten and Mr Cho is one of the nicest and kindest people I’ve met. I have tried all the variations on the menu and I can say that all of them are incredible. I’m not an expert, but for me this is my go to eating out place.
