Always delicious sushi and friendly staff when picking up! We've been ordering from here for years and, because we live in the area, we pick it up. The food is excellent! Definitely recommended. The chef's roll is always appreciated!

Delicious sushi, but the delivery was very disappointing: it took an hour and 45 minutes to arrive. When we called after an hour to check on the status, it seemed like they had to rush things. The receipt included a free "chef's special sushi roll," but unfortunately, it wasn't actually delivered. I would definitely eat here again, but I wouldn't recommend ordering.

For sushi, this is by far the best place in Utrecht. They often give you a free sushi roll (if you order through their website). Delicious rice; super fresh. Highly recommended!

Maneki is a hidden gem in Utrecht. By far the best sushi in the area. Incredibly good value for money and always consistent. Today we had another delicious meal here. Despite the busy online ordering season, we had a fantastic experience; the wait is never long. Incredibly friendly and genuine service in a unique atmosphere. No fuss, no fake atmosphere, just superb food. A rare find in Utrecht's 1001 restaurants and cafes.

Ordered takeaway, it was delivered very quickly. Not only that, but the sushi's were great and fresh tasting and they even added an extra set of large delicious sushis! Probably the best spot for sushi in Utrecht!

Great sushi - just be prepared to wait for delivery. Maneki consistently delivers delicious sushi! I’ve only ordered take-out, so I can’t speak to the dine-in experience, but I never skip their temaki (hand rolls) - especially the sake (salmon) and fuji (scallops) rolls. They’re fresh, flavorful, and always hit the spot. The only downside is the delivery time - it’s usually quite slow, often taking between 1.5 to 2 hours. That’s the main reason for the 4-star rating. It might be faster for pickup, but I haven’t tried that yet, and I’m also unsure what the dine-in wait is like. That said, the food is worth the wait. I just make sure to plan ahead, knowing it’ll take some time. If you're craving quality sushi and have some patience, I definitely recommend giving Maneki a try!

Wonderlijk en leuk restaurantje. Heel vriendelijke bediening. We hadden weinig tijd omdat we naar de Stadsschouwburg gingen, maar alles werd heel snel geserveerd op ons verzoek. Ongelofelijk uitgebreide kaart. Grote variëteit, ook van soorten sashimi (elf!). Het is een klein restaurant, kennelijk doen ze vooral delivery.

Order sushi very regularly. Ordered here to try something different. I wish I had never done that. Waited more than 1.5 hours for very mediocre quality uramaki. Called twice about order status, but no one answered. The 3 uramaki rolls I ordered did not taste fresh, had rock-hard fried pieces and all three had a certain yakitori marinade flavor that I had not tasted before with sushi. €40 worth of sushi thrown away because it's just not tasty. Really a waste of money.

Always eat there, never had better sushi

Very good sushi, dramatic orders; ordered via its own app and paid for delivery. After 1.5 hours I called again; Coming soon sir, 20 more minutes. Called again after another hour, because there was still nothing... Oh just left sir, I was told. Again nothing after 30 minutes, then canceled with difficulty - now I hope I get my money back...

Super fresh sushi, really very satisfied!

Siendo veterano de viajes de Japón, puedo juzgar que tienen muy buen Sashimi, para Europa es definitivamente de primera calidad. corte agradable y grueso, surtidos decentes de varios peces. No esperes o - toro sin embargo, que de todos modos no es fácil llegar aquí. el restaurante estaba vacío entre semana (en agosto) , pero constantemente hay gente que viene para llevar, que es la mejor señal para la frescura. por lo que las buenas calificaciones tanto en tripadvisor como en googlemaps puedo confirmarlas

Best sushi in Utrecht and surrounding areas! I have been ordering my sushi here for 11 years and it is always wonderfully fresh. My friends also agree with me that it is delicious sushi. They also have luxury ingredients like scallops and ikura (salmon roe), which many other sushi places don't have.

Sashimi was very fresh and good, well cut and well sized portion.

I actually don't want to write this review (because then it would be too busy here), but this really is the very best sushi in Utrecht. I have tried several stores, all disappointing. You might pay a little more... but hey?! Who wants to pay a little less and eat disgusting/disappointing sushi? My tip: this tent ♥️ At least try it and judge for yourself. Love, a loyal fan

Eten besteld ruim op tijd, een uur van te voren doorgegeven. Na 15 minuten wachten gebeld, het voorstel was -behalve excuus- om evt. de bestelling te annuleren.... Dat viel niet in goede aarde bij ons. Helaas is dit niet de eerste keer... vandaar nu deze waardering.

Fantastisch eten. De lekkerste sushi van utrecht denk ik. Smaakte heel vers. Ik eet t maar een paar keer per jaar. Dus voor herhaling vatbaar.

Heel goed Japans restaurant. Zelf mijn man die niet gek is op Japans eten, heeft hier genoten van de kip yakitori en de biefstuk met lente ui. Mijn kinderen en ik zijn erg blij met de sushi! Lekker, vers en super verzorgd. Heel aardige mensen en fijne rustige sfeer.

We bestellen al jaren bij Maneki. Erg goede kwaliteit sushi en niet overdreven duur. Aardig personeel. En als er iets vanwege even niet helemaal goed gaat dan lossen het ze het super fijn op met een extraatje.

The food is good but not great. I've had better japanese food in other restaurants. The chef and the staff aren't japanese, but they know what they're doing, and the food tastes pretty good.

The fish is relatively fresh for take away. Generous portions of salmon, specifically in their maki rolls. Unagi portion in the sushi was good too. One of the better unagi's I have had in Utrecht. The main downside for me is the lack of seasoning in their sushi rice. It really needed more vinegar and it really let down the entire meal which could have been great. Since it is near my house, I will give it another go to see if the rice thing was just due to an off day..

Meestal bestellen we hier, maar hebben er ook wel eens gegeten. Echt de aller beste sushi die je in utrecht en omstreken kan vinden. Goede porties en heerlijk verse vis. Bijgerechten zijn ook altijd lekker. Beter ga je het niet vinden.

Vanavond besteld, klein misverstand wegens drukte echt heel net opgelost. Heerlijk gegeten, heel erg bedankt!!

Heerlijke sushi, we bestellen er met enige regelmaat. Enige grote nadeel is de lange wachttijd. Minimaal 1 uur, en vandaag zelfs anderhalf uur.

Best 🍣 in Utrecht! Their "Maneki" rolls are superb. Cozy atmosphere. A la carte. The chef is chinese, but has studied Japanese cuisine in Japan and it shows. You can also order delivery, but I recommend actually going here: it's run by a family and manages to 'deliver' on that great middle way between homely and service-oriented. This place has been my guilty pleasure for years, and hopefully for many years to come!

For us this is the best sushi in Utrecht. Even though we live in Leidsche Rijn and they dont deliver here, when we feel like sushi we gladly take a detour. We have eaten a good bit of sushi around the world, but Maneki didnt disappoint yet. Always fresh, good portions, fair prices, and a free sushi roll when spending more than 40 euro on your order. We will be back!

Maneki is ons favoriete sushi restaurant. Vandaag is er in de bestelling iets mis gegaan, maar de juiste bestelling werd alsnog gebracht. Zonder bijbetaling en zelfs met wat extra's. Geweldige service!

Never tried such a fresh fish in a Japanese restaurant before. Im from the coast and I'm used to the good fish/ seafood. The quality here is excellent
