I ordered a vegetarian breakfast and there was ham on the plate, within a little stack with cheese at the bottom and the egg on top. I returned the place. The chef received the place, slid the ham off and passed the plate straight back to the server who then brought it back to my table. - Yes, with the cheese and egg (and perhaps other items) that had been in contact with the ham still on the plate. This happened in under 10 seconds right in front of me. It's unbelievable to think that anyone would regard this to be acceptable. It resulted in me having a complete loss of confidence in the kitchen.

I went with my mother to drink hot chocolate with whipped cream. Delicious. My mother thought this place was impressive. See you soon.

The restaurant was very noisy and had to wait a long time for service but the food was tasty.

What a wonderful building super high ceilings short walk from train station right in the centre of Utrecht You walk into a restaurant area and check in can be self or via desk, staff super friendly My room was one 4th floor classed as epic rooms Super clean but compact very comfortable beds and loved the vaulted ceilings These rooms are great value, the restaurant \ bar area is such a chilled vibe great for working and meeting up with friends, food menu is compact but has great healthy options portions are good sized I will definitely coming back to stay here next time visit city

We dined at the restaurant with 12 people, and the service was excellent! We only made a reservation one day in advance, yet we were still able to accommodate so many people. Fantastic! All the dishes arrived simultaneously, which is quite a feat when you have so many guests to serve. The food was delicious; I had the braised beef, but my colleagues also enjoyed the other dishes. The beer is quite expensive, though: €6.90 for a 44cl bottle, not even a proper half-liter. But hey, there's not much the restaurant can do about that; beer prices are sky-high these days.

The restaurant definitely deserves five stars: a pleasant and refined atmosphere, welcoming and helpful staff, and excellent food. Prices are reasonable, like everything in Utrecht. Lea's room is really small but very cute and feels like a cozy haven.

Went for family breakfast. Perfect setting. But... it was quite cold, and the food is trying to hard, nordic bowl, pochee eggs... gotta keep it simpler. Bring back sausages bacon potatoes beans fried eggs. It is a family feast/ gathering place food should be joyous to xover the traumas, and simple, not "refined" and bland.

I came for dinner last week with a friend and had such a great experience! Our Australian server was absolutely amazing, so polite, attentive, and helpful. She took the time to explain every dish and even checked for allergies when we ordered. I’ve never felt compelled to write a review about a server before, but she was just that kind and thoughtful! I didn’t catch her name, but she mentioned she’s from Australia. It’s so cool to see such a diverse and friendly team here. The food was also incredible. The kohlrabi ceviche and roast cauliflower were definite standouts. Highly recommend!

Beautiful location and a super cozy place to have a drink. I just won't be eating here again. Horrible! The portions were too small, and the menu was nothing special. I had some hope that the pork belly would be good, but that was disappointing. And my mashed potatoes were overcooked in a lemon-basil sauce. All I could taste was lemon. My girlfriend's food was also disappointing. She got a small piece of sea bream and some limp vegetables that were tastelessly overcooked. It's a shame, because the location and service are otherwise excellent.

Unfortunately, even though this is a Hostel/Hotel all of the attention is given to the restaurant and there is nowhere quiet to read a book or relax

We ate alone in a beautiful location with very friendly staff and delicious, original recipes. It was quite noisy in the restaurant, which is understandable, as it's a former church.

We made a reservation for just coffee with 14 people on Saturday morning. We booked online, and the table was ready upon arrival, plus the sweet house cat was lying by the counter ;-). It's a beautiful space with friendly service and a good cappuccino that comes with a cookie. Despite this, we also ordered a delicious chocolate chip cookie.

Cozy, good food and drinks. The church's appearance is no longer recognizable because it's literally half full of hotel. The organ is therefore in an unfortunate location.

Excellent food (the rendang was full of flavor), but we were particularly impressed by the fries that were just incredible and with an impeccable crispiness that is hard to come by in France.

We started a birthday outing in Utrecht with our children and grandchildren (8 people) and enjoyed coffee, soft drinks, and pastries. The reserved table was excellent, as was the quality of the food we ate. Friendly staff and a beautiful, unique venue in a former church. Easily accessible and centrally located in Utrecht.

A restaurant just outside the city center, beautifully decorated and modern. The menu is ideal for a light breakfast or lunch. The establishment also offers hostel-style rooms and private rooms.

Great place to have a drink and have a bunk-down. Pun intended. Clean quiet beds, toilets and showers. Unfortunate I was not in on of the cool pods. Still recommend for a night or two.

The room is small but if you don’t mind that, the place is super edgy and interesting. Used to be a church and is now a modern hotel and restaurant/cafe. I didn’t love the fact that we couldn’t open any windows in our room.

I love coming to Bunk. The location is really convenient (close to the station) and the atmosphere is really cool. The food is really tasty and a little modern. I specially like the cauliflower and pork belly.

So this is a great fun hotel. The location is fantastic. Park in the main car park it’s €35 but cheaper than a ticket. Food is a bit niche so you might want to think about that. It’s a great base for the city with kayaking on your door step to get to see the city. Rooms are small but very well designed. Best word is snug. Book it and enjoy it. My teenagers had a bunk room and loved it.

Awesome place to have a dinner - tasty food, great ambiance and friendly service. Food was definitely the highlight, everything was delicious and imaginative. Pork belly with the pumpkin hummus especially stood out, highly recommend. I believe pork belly in that is the same or very similar to pork belly in the main dish (crispy pork belly). Spinach guacamole was also outstanding - I was hesitant at first but it’s both tasty and beautiful. Roasted turnip was enjoyable too. Kohlrabi ceviche wasn’t my favorite but worth to try as it was very interesting. I had cod as a main dish and that was ok - not as great as the other dishes but tasty and a decently sized portion

I was visiting Utrecht and was looking for a breakfast cafe that’s opened early in the morning. This place is IT. Not only the service was awesome and super friendly, the spot was beautiful and nicely decorated.

The location is spectacular and very different from your average restaurant. The menu options are not very extensive but offer enough possibilities. There were 2 vegan/vegetarian options as a main course (more with the starters), the cauliflower definitely tastier and more special than the gnocci. Service was friendly and attentive. We were not that impressed with the desserts so we got them somewhere else.

Had a lovely lunch with colleagues! I had egg's benedict with salmon and ginger tea with lemon. Friendly service and service was great. Nice location and very centrally located, bus, walking from Utrecht CS or by bike easy to do.

Had dinner with a group last night. It was very busy and warm inside. A cacophony of sounds, and on top of that rather vague music. It was almost impossible to have a conversation. The waitress couldn't make it through. And in English. Why in English??? Then the food. The starters were tasty. The vegetarian dish was really not good. Fried cauliflower was too salty, the half-cooked mountain of cauliflower on top tasted like nothing and you had to search for the peas underneath. Vegan dishes (very limited choice) still need to be learned. The other dishes didn't really stand out. And the desserts didn't promise what was on the menu either. What should have been a festive dinner was ruined in terms of togetherness by the noise and disappointing dishes. Restaurant nk is not recommended.

This spot is quite the gem. Love the idea of using an old church and turning into a cozy spot to spend some hours with good company, good snacks and some nice drinks. I tried out the chicken fingers as well as the cauliflower bites and they were quite delicious. This is a place to visit if you’re in the area, you will definitely enjoy the unique experience and comfortable atmosphere. There’s not many options, but the small menu is quite the treat.

The restaurant is located in an old church. The atmosphere is very pleasant. Unfortunately, the staff wasn't very attentive; we only received the menu after asking, and we had to refill our drinks ourselves. The small plates were cleared away without asking, even though we would have liked to have eaten the bread we ordered with olive oil and butter on the small plates. We each had a fish dish. One fish was a bit dry, and the other was too soft. The side dishes were good! The prices are a bit high for the portions.

A very unique restaurant in a re-purposed church. The decor and interior are quite unique. We visited on King's Day, and while it was rather busy, the staff kindly checked in on us regularly to ensure everything was good. Their efforts in ensuring all guests feel valued and cared for is truly appreciated. While the menu wasn't expansive, we were quite happy with our choices. The fusion cuisine was quite unique compared to typical restaurants. Overall, it was a very nice experience. Will surely visit again in the future.

Nice, restaurant in a church with ornaments, but a nightmare in terms of acoustics. The service is fantastic and fast. But the food... probably no good chefs anymore. Unimaginative, main courses too small for the price and without side dishes. That one star is for the dessert. I got the idea with gnocchi that they were not freshly made, more like a packet/bag. Fortunately, my company was worth 5 stars!

Had dinner with a friend. Beautiful old church that has been tastefully renovated. You keep looking around to see how everything was done. Upon entering, I was immediately greeted in a friendly manner and led to a high table at the back of the store. We thought the service was fantastic: friendly, fast and intelligent, we could have some really nice conversations with them. We were given the opportunity to determine our own eating pace and they strictly adhered to that. Food quality was also good. Enough vegetarian options, good ingredients, tasty combinations. For three courses including a GT, two wines, water and tea I spent €80. Only tip: don't sell bottles of spa water but tap water.

I can't rate the food because I didn't have lunch or dinner there, I wouldn't have been able to. I "just" slept there. Super noisy restaurant, it made me feel at home, like at the town festivals. But for that you don't need to travel. I was looking for tranquility. Clearly, my mistake. I won't be back. Maybe 30 years younger...

Cod was cooked well, dessert was a bit on the dry side.

I recently had dinner here with friends and unfortunately I am really not satisfied. The portions are very small so you leave hungry, even for someone who is not a big eater. The food was not tasty and the price charged for it was out of proportion. I also didn't like being served by someone wearing a navel sweater/crop top, the staff was very curt which shocked us. Location beautiful, but I don't recommend eating here.

Portions incredibly small for way too much money! If you choose the Dorade as a main course, you only get a half-flattened piece of fish with a bite of beetroot. Zero side dishes: price €22.50. Very sad. I have never eaten three toasted sandwiches after a dinner at home, but after this meal it was really necessary. The staff consists of half-bared foreign girls who don't speak a word of Dutch and snatch your plate and glass from under your nose when it's not even empty. Not worth repeating!!

This place is really next level nice! Good food and drinks, a nice and surprising menu and attentive service. The entourage really makes it. We will definitely go back!

I ate here with someone. The ambiance is good and the staff is friendly. Unfortunately the food was very disappointing. The starters were still reasonable but didn't really taste fresh or special. The "grilled pepper" seemed straight out of a jar. The main course cauliflower tasted like boiled cauliflower, and was mainly a whole bunch...: cauliflower on a plate. No herbs or anything else. My dining partner's sea bream was tough and the beet leaf salad was just very salty. Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend anyone to eat here. Too bad for the staff, because that's really not the fault.

Para nuestro almuerzo comunitario de 10 personas, estaba buscando un acogedor café o restaurante con un fácil viaje, política de precios abiertos (sin costos de reserva adicionales o requisitos para los pedidos) y personal amable. Bunk proporcionó todas estas cualidades! Además, la singularidad del valor motivó a las personas a viajar desde otras ciudades. La próxima vez me encantaría pasar la noche en su albergue : )

I am so happy that I found this place! For our community lunch of 10 people, I was looking for a cozy cafe or restaurant with an easy commute, open price policy (without additional reservation costs or requirements for orders), and friendly staff. Bunk provided all of these qualities! Moreover, the uniqueness of the value motivated people to travel from other cities. Next time I would love to stay overnight in their hostel :)

Upon arrival, the young waiter immediately asked to order paid water (even before the drinks order itself was taken). That question came again later, as did the question whether we wanted bread for the starter. Waited a long time for the drink (10.50 v 0.44l blond beer, which is not 0.44) and the option to order food. Quite a limited choice of main courses. When asked to order the same starter twice instead of 1 main course, we received 2 plates with 1 starter. An incorrect drink was taken / order was delivered (we were allowed to drink the extra drink for free). And the food itself was okay, nothing more than that. The gnocchi with pumpkin and mushrooms was fine in texture, mediocre in temperature and poor in taste (some good spices would do wonders). We skipped dessert. The atmosphere? Quite pleasant. Full house, everyone seems to think it's all fine.

Had a lovely breakfast on Valentine's Day. Friendly welcome, fast service in a relaxed atmosphere. Nice choice on the kart, also for breakfast. Recommended.

Estábamos bastante decepcionados con la comida en Bunk. El menú presentaba principalmente comida compartida, que nos parece un concepto obsoleto que beneficia principalmente al restaurante económicamente. Por lo tanto, preferimos pedir un plato principal regular. Sin embargo, no había muchas opciones disponibles. Los platos que pedimos llegaron en cinco minutos, pero la calidad y el tamaño de las porciones fueron muy decepcionantes. Compartimos nuestra opinión con el personal, pero simplemente lo reconocieron sin ninguna otra respuesta o esfuerzo para abordar nuestras preocupaciones. Por tres bebidas y tres platos principales mínimos, terminamos pagando casi 100 €. Nos sentimos estafados y decidimos irnos inmediatamente. Lo siento, Bunk, pero esta fue nuestra última visita.

Normally don't place reviews, but this place is great. Not only do they have super sweet staff, good coffee, nice food BUT THEY ALSO HAVE A CAT. It is the cutest most cuddly little furball ever and petting him brings us all a little more inner peace.

Gezellig restaurant, originele iinrichting. Niet aanbevolen. De Dorade. Veel te zout, jammer. De bijgaande groeten, rood, bieten en rode kool?? Gewoon onsmakelijk. Lange zeewierachtige 'draden', niet door te kauwen. Heel vreemde smaak en zeer peperig. Leek iets gefermenteerds? Echt een teleurstelling. Heb dus alleen visje gegeten. Geen compensatie aanbod.

The food was delicious. I had beef stew with carrots, among other things. But I thought it was a bit pricey for what you got. Not such a large quantity and no side dish.

Food was my worst experience! We had lasagna with terrible smell souse!
