We visited Casa Thai as a group of three. Based on the website, menu descriptions, and food photos, we expected authentic Thai food, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing. We ordered steamed fish with lime, morning glory, Som Tam Isaan , chicken khao soi, Thai milk tea, and longan juice, all requested Thai spicy. However, the food was still very mild and seemed heavily adjusted to foreign tastes. The Isaan Som Tam was served more like Som Tam Thai, the khao soi was mostly sweet, the Thai tea had very little tea aroma, and the longan juice was extremely watery. The morning glory was probably the best dish, although it was cut into very long pieces and was quite difficult to eat. The service was also unusual. The staff seemed unfamiliar with the Thai dish names, so ordering by menu number was easier. When we asked for another burner to keep the steamed fish warm, we were told that one was enough because the fish was already cooked, which felt like a strange response. Overall, I would not consider this authentic Thai food. For anyone specifically looking for genuine Thai flavours similar to what you would find in Thailand, I would not recommend this restaurant.

It was absolutely delicious! The tangy and spicy flavor was amazing. The creamy tom yum soup was so good, and the drinks were great too, with a nice tangy taste. The service was also perfect. I'll definitely come back!

I got the Cashew Nut dish and it is delicious.

I did not like the food or the cocktails. We ordered two different rum-based cocktails which basically tasted the same; annoyingly sweet, with no other flavor. For food, we ordered the massaman curry and the fish. The fish was waay too fishy. I can’t get the smell out of nose. And the curry was meh. Tiny portion of rice with the curry. Overall, very disappointing.

We had made a reservation online for 8:00 PM and arrived at Casa Thai at 8:03 PM. Upon arrival, we were immediately told that, despite our reservation, we would have to wait about 20 minutes for a table. After waiting outside the door for a few minutes, we were suddenly told that there was space inside after all. In my reservation, I had specifically indicated that we were bringing a stroller. You would expect that this would be taken into account at least a little, for example by providing a table with some extra space or a spot in a corner. However, once inside, the tables were practically touching each other. In my opinion, there was less than 20 cm between our table and those of other guests. With a stroller, that is simply impossible without inconveniencing other customers. Furthermore, we were not even properly escorted to our table. No explanation, no effort to be helpful, and absolutely no feeling that the information from the reservation had been taken into account. In the end, we left immediately without even sitting down. If you accept online reservations and allow guests to submit specifics in advance, I expect that something is actually done with them. For us, the experience was over before we could even order anything. Very disappointing.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A very nice Thai restaurant in a prime location on Witte de Withstraat in Rotterdam! The location is, of course, ideal if you want to head into the city afterwards. Inside, the restaurant is very atmospheric and nicely decorated, with a cozy, lively vibe. We had a spot at the bar, which I actually liked even more because you have a great view into the open kitchen from there. You see the food being prepared fresh and there is plenty going on, which really contributes to the atmosphere. I had the boat noodles and they were incredibly delicious. A combination of many different flavors and textures, making every bite just a little bit different. The dish was well-seasoned and really felt like something different from the standard Thai dishes you encounter at many restaurants. What I also liked was that the food arrived at the table quite quickly. Casa Thai is therefore a perfect place if you want to enjoy delicious Thai food but still have plans in the city afterwards. It is good to know that this isn't necessarily a restaurant where you'll linger for hours. The staff keeps the pace going nicely and ensures the tables keep moving. That was perfectly fine for us, but if you are looking for a very long, quiet evening of dining, I would keep that in mind. All in all, highly recommended for good Thai food in a nice, central location in Rotterdam. The combination of the cozy setting, the open kitchen, and the delicious food, in particular, makes this a place I would definitely return to! 🌶️🍜✨

The food is good, however, the space is very cramped. You can hear almost everything the people next to you are saying.

Last week, dinner for 4 people, reservation for 7:30 PM. In the afternoon, I received a call asking if we wanted to reconfirm the reservation. An hour later, I was called again asking if we could make it at 7:45 PM because there would be a 'better' table then. Fine. Just after 9:00 PM, with the dessert menu right in front of us, we received a polite request asking if we could leave within 10 minutes due to other guests?! In principle, the reservation was for 2 hours, so until 9:45 PM. I told them I wasn't happy with this and wanted the bill immediately. A little later, they told us we didn't have to leave after all. But we had already lost interest. We received an apology, but it was too late. So we just went somewhere else to get a nice ice cream. This is very disappointing.

We found it busy on a Monday night- clearly a popular spot, and for good reason. We were served by the wonderful Allie, she was absolutely lovely and made us feel very welcome. I had the Thai green curry, and it was by far the best I’ve ever had. Fragrant, spicy, light, rich and creamy all at once. Truly a bowl of abundance, filled with succulent shrimp and a wonderful array of different vegetables each offering their own unique textures. I was so full, but I knew I couldn’t miss the mango sticky rice and I’m so glad I didn’t. Sharp and sweet mango, chewy pandan rice, all drowning in a luscious coconut cream. And I can’t forget to mention the drinks, the Thai milk tea is perfect, we had to order two rounds. Delightful! Thank you Allie!

On a whim, a friend and I decided to go eat at Cada Thai. We were able to make a reservation very easily via TheFork, and within half an hour, there was already a spot for us. We ended up being a little early, but that wasn't a problem at all: we were simply allowed to go inside right away. What a lovely place! The atmosphere was immediately relaxed and cozy, making you feel at ease right away. The cocktails were delicious and provided a great start to the evening. The food certainly didn't disappoint either. Everything tasted so good that we immediately became curious about the rest of the menu. Of course, I had read the reviews beforehand, and I can honestly say that they were absolutely true. I can fully endorse the positive experiences of others. The combination of the cozy atmosphere, the tasty cocktails, and the delicious food made a particularly strong impression. All in all, this was a wonderful, spontaneous discovery. This certainly wasn't my last visit, as I am now especially curious about what else is on the menu. So, plenty of reason to come back again soon!

This is a place not to miss. Amazing authentic thai food. We had dinner at Casa Thai yesterday and ordered in from there again because we lived it so much. I would recommend the green curry and the chicken cashew curry.

This time I only had the opportunity to enjoy their deserts, but it was good. Maybe the best (Thai/Asian) desert in the Netherlands I dare to say. The prices and portions were excellent, but above all, it was truly amazing. I can recommend trying this out! It’s wise to make a reservation in advance though.

Too bad, we made a reservation, but we were not able to order everything because we had a quick dinner. I never knew we only had 1 hour. The workers were complaining about us in Chinese because we asked some questions. Food and drinks looked good, but we felt so unwelcome, so we left.

The meal was tasty, but there was very little beef in the Panang curry; the green curry with chicken was okay. Neither dish really had many vegetables. It was more the sauce that tasted good. Service was okay, but nothing special. For example, no clearing of the table before dessert and no extra napkin either. The starters were good and the dessert very good. The turnover is high and that is what they rely on. In my opinion, certainly not worth a 4.7. More like a 3.8 to 4.0.

I used to come here over the last 2 years , and I’d like to say the quality has dropped a lot. The menu also changed and there’s barely any beef options now. The nam homemade ice tea tasted very weird, and it used to be my favourite 🥲 I also got take away and the quality was terrible. Only tasted spice and no actual freshness or seasoning.

Vi is an excellent waitress with such a lovely energy. The food is top notch, everything was very fresh. Will definetly come back and recommand others to have a try. Prices are good too.

The morning glory was perfectly cooked—fresh, crisp, and full of texture. * Pad Thai: Packed with wok hei, featuring fresh, juicy shrimp and perfectly chewy rice noodles. The balance of flavors was spot on. * Green Papaya Salad: Made with fresh ingredients and freshly pounded chili, which really elevated the flavor. We ordered the medium spicy, but don’t underestimate it—it was closer to what most places would call extra spicy! Overall, everything tasted incredibly authentic, with fresh ingredients and great attention to detail. A fantastic Thai restaurant that’s absolutely worth a visit.

As a lovely surprise, we were treated to a limoncello because it was Hoang’s last day before returning to Vietnam. We wish him all the best on his next adventure! We had an okay meal here. We ordered two beers: a Chiang and a Singha. The Singha was tasty and nice and cold. My partner and I drank it together. The Chiang, on the other hand, was warm. We therefore didn't drink it at all; the bottle was still completely full. When we asked for the bill, we explained that the beer was warm. Nevertheless, it was charged anyway. If I pay €5 for a beer, I expect it to be served cold, not warm; otherwise, I wouldn't have ordered it. Otherwise, everything was good, but I found this detail inappropriate. The young employee saw for himself that we hadn't touched the beer.

We were very surprised to not see Pad Thai in the menu, but luckily we asked the waiter and they said they have it. Cause which Thai restaurant doesn't serve Pad Thai? And I have to say it was delicious, aswell my favourite Thai Milk Ice Tea! I was glad to see that most of people eating were actually Thai people, which is the best recommendation. Very nice atmosphere and staff! Really liked this place :)

First of all: the food was fresh and tasty. Not the best Thai restaurant we have ever visited, but good. For us, however, it was not the most relaxing experience because we only had just over an hour to eat; it was (pleasantly) busy, but the portions could have been a bit bigger, perhaps by providing a little more rice.

Quite disappointed with the quality of food. We ordered boat noodles and fried rice. The soup was ok but the noodles were really letting down. It was not cooked properly, almost tasted like it was uncooked. Fried rice was made with rush, still have a lot of lumps of rice so flavouring ingredients were not spreaded equally.

The portion and the quality of the food are both extremely good! I have to day the waiter Ammy Hoang was also really gentle to explain us some food and helping us with the choice. Amazing service!

Upon entering Casa Thai (Witte de Withstraat), there was immediately a small misunderstanding because the staff thought we were supposed to be at branch 2. Fortunately, this was quickly resolved. The food was good, especially the pork, which was excellent! With the Mango Sticky Rice as a tasty finale! That was truly delicious. However, the atmosphere in the restaurant felt more Chinese than Thai. My girlfriend is Thai, but unfortunately, it turned out there was only one person serving who also spoke Thai? Fine food, but in terms of experience, not entirely authentic.
