MIE HO THAI-FOOD in Delfshaven

I've picked up so many delicious meals here over the years. Even when we were having festive evenings at the Zakkendragershuisje with our theater group Drijfzand (Driffzand) and a large group of us would eat together. I was always asked to order Thai food, and it was always delicious. The tender chicken satay, the divine shrimp, the curries, the stir-fries with lots of fresh vegetables, and so on. And now, suddenly—out of the blue—I see a sign in the window saying "coming soon..." 😱. So what????

Until recently, I came here almost every week with my friend Radju. For over 7 years we enjoyed the best food available in Rotterdam and the surrounding area. And I'm not exaggerating, it was really very good. We have experienced everything, including the Corona period that was so difficult for you. Despite this, you have persevered with enormous energy. Too bad it is ending now and also not having been there before the closure. But despite that, thank you for all the good years, all the great food and the conversations. Delicious food! Very friendly service. Beautiful flowers. I had reserved a table and invitations were already ready. Simple decoration with oriental elements. Reasonably good service when busy with take-aways, friendliness also makes up for a lot! Some noise pollution from idiots with a car or motorbike, who think they are on a circuit. Restaurant actually deserves 5 stars for taste and friendliness.

Great food, very nice atmosphere and curry is just perfectly splendid!

What a crap tent, been there twice now, the first and the last time. A Chinese man serving was indecent, had a big mouth and couldn't eat it. Just back to Foeyonghai, but this lady does not belong in the atmosphere of Thailand. Very bad, so stay away!

I tried the Pad thai and it was very good. The place is small but cozy. The woman was very kind. I will definitely come back!

WOW, what an unforgettable evening again at MIE HO THAI-FOOD in the beautiful historic Delfshaven! We started with a perfect trio of starters: crispy fresh vegetarian spring roll, juicy Thai Chicken Satay and their famous fish cakes - each a feast for your taste buds! As a main course, the Phad See Ew with roasted duck... oh my, those noodles are HEAVENLY! Perfectly cooked with a light 'wok hei' flavour, tender duck with crispy skin and fresh crispy vegetables in that divine soy sauce. Also a menu with shrimps - Chef Vivien knows exactly how to prepare those large shrimps perfectly. And then the dessert... tried both versions of the Black beans sticky rice - both hot and with ice cream. What a great ending! That warm version is pure comfort food, and with ice cream you get such a delicious contrast of temperatures. The sweetness is just right, not overdone but perfectly balanced. Chef Vivien's passion for authentic Thai food can be tasted in every dish. This is without a doubt the BEST Thai cuisine in Rotterdam and the surrounding area. The hospitality is heart-warming, the atmosphere in the monumental building is cozy and intimate, and the price-quality ratio is top. Small gem in Delfshaven where you are guaranteed to come back for more! Thanks for the delicious food last night, dear Chef Vivien! Amazing homemade food! The food is clearly made of all the fresh ingredients. Super nice service! It’s that one place we always come back to!

Great food, reasonable prices, a very nice older lady served us. We ordered spring rolls with chicken, Pad thai with shrimp and Phad Qing with chicken. Everything was prepared efficiently, the ingredients were fresh. I was pleasantly surprised by the taste of the dishes. Both the rice and noodles were properly cooked. Everything was very tasty, I recommend :)

What a lovely place with fantastic food, great owners and the most beautiful orchids. I will come back for sure during my next visit in Rotterdam

Ordered shrimp soup. Received a small bowl of broth water with 3 small shrimps and mushroom for 11 euros, paid an outrageous price for so little. Never again

Very bad service. I'm calling to place an order. I ask about nasi with chicken, and whether I can possibly order sambal with it. Tell them no and we won't do it while they serve it in the restaurant. Then I ask for some sambal or some sambal. If she says no, you have to go to another place. Arrogant Thai woman. You shouldn't eat food from a person who answers like that.

We were refused service today for no apparent reason. There were only 2 other tables and there was no reason to refuse to take our order without saying that was the case or why. I’ve had great takeout here in the past. But this was a terrible experience.

The restaurant is run by loveliest couple. Two days ago I arrived 30min before closing, when they were starting to clean up, and very kindly offered to take my takeaway order. It was delicious and a lifesaver, and today I came back with more time to spare. Very calm and relaxed ambience. Highly recommend!

We ate there two times, and the food was very, very tasty. The service was friendly and very quick. There are many options, we chose different wok meals with tofu. Certainly, it is worth a visit and recommendation.

Restaurant met plaats voor ca. 25 personen. Maaltijden kunnen ook afgehaald of bezorgd worden. Restaurant maakt een schone, opgeruimde en hygiënische indruk. Bediening zeer vriendelijk. Men neemt de tijd om de gast uitgebreid te informeren over de verschillende gerechten. Heerlijke gerechten die met zorg zijn bereid. Goede kwaliteit. Bij gelegenheid zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

The food was lovely and well-priced. Especially recommend the laab with chicken - was very spicy but really great. The service was great as well and we really enjoyed this little gem in Delftshaven :)

Imo perfect, i feel like portion size and flavor for the price is 10/10 the women is also super kind. Would recommend to anyone. You pretty much spend 15 euros and good food. Also the times they have open is really nice since they are open for lunch which can be a bit tricky sometimes if you want anything besides döner haha. Again 10/10 would recommend.

Met zn vijven echt heerlijk gegeten hier. Iedereen was volop tevreden! Zeer vriendelijke bediening, niet te duur, echt een aanrader.

Wij hebben hier voor de 2e x de sticky Rice dessert gehaald en het is echt zo lekker. Ook lieve mensen en rustige sfeer.

Kleine kaart maar er staat genoeg op. Eten was lekker.

Nummer 24 (Phad See Ew) met kip en Udon noodles besteld. Was hartstikke lekker! 12€ was het waard. Ik kom zeker weten terug!!!

Gistermiddag voor het eerst eten gehaald en zeker niet voor het laatst. Wat was dat lekker, zojuist het restant samen opgegeten. Saté Pad nam prik phao Pad kratiam prik Thai Ben nieuwsgierig naar de andere gerechten. Jammer of gelukkig dat ik niet vlakbij woon. Het is zo lekker Gr uit Spijkenisse

Such a no-frills, tiny inclusive restaurant. Almost every dish has a vegetarian equivalent. You are served fresh authentic Thai food by a lovely lady. We ordered vegetarian and chicken pad Thai and vegetarian Phad see Ew. Everything was great, but we especially enjoyed the Phad see Ew! We also ordered mango sticky rice for dessert and enjoyed the server’s humor when she gave us the disclaimer “we try, but these are Dutch not Thai mangoes” 🤣🤣

Klein, maar fijn met een vriendelijke bediening en heerlijk eten. Na afloop van de maaltijd nog wat tips gekregen voor de samenstelling van een menu bij de volgende gelegenheid. Een aanrader!!
