The taste of Tom Yum Goong is really bad. Ordered 1 Tom Yum Goong, but when the bill came, the bill showed 2 bowls. The staff explained that they ordered 2 because there were 2 of them, at a price of 21 euros, which is very little. The quality is not good. The quality of the rice is also bad. Fried pork belly is 29 euros. There are only vegetables, making it look like a lot. In total, this meal ordered 2 bottles of beer, 1 coke, Tom Yum Goong, fried pork, totaled 64 euros. Not worth it at all. The food is not good at all. It is really not good. It should be improved a lot.

A very decent restaurant. The beans in the green curry were a bit old and chewy. The pad thai would be more thai if it came with a with a slice of lime (instead of lemon). But overall okay-la and quite authentic.

A hidden gem in Rotterdam-Lombardijen. The food is delicious and they are very generous with the quantities. The staff is very friendly and you get a doggy bag for home. I definitely recommend restaurant Thailand!

Mega sweet staff! Soup was delicious, so high expectations, but the food disappointed me. A lot of fried and the vegetables tasted burnt. I expect really fresh and pure food at a Thai restaurant. Had a huge stomach ache and we still had to go to a concert.

Good food but very little for the price, not in proportion to other authentic Thai, green carry, elsewhere 16 euros here 29 euros, fried noodles elsewhere 12 euros here 19 euros, also long waiting time for service, according to the owner due to Pentecost rush.. Thom ka kai soup is good. Tasty but all in all much too high prices for Rotterdam South.. in response to your answer: soup came after 30m and food 20m after the soup means 50m, is 30-60m waiting time, just check your cameras and for the prices take an example of Sawadeeka on the Overtoom in Amsterdam, no menu is above 20 euros.. for your information we had 3 dishes for 2 adults and 2 children of 9 years..

The staff is very friendly and create a cozy atmosphere. The quality of the food however was a bit disappointing, especially at this price level. It wasn’t bad, but it just misses those real authentic distinguishable flavors the Thai kitchen is so famous for. The menu had an abundance of options.

Very good Thai Food! We took the menu and it was plenty enough per person! The soup was delicious. The maincourse various with fish, meat, Rice and Mie! The taste was very good! We will definitely come back! The ambiance is a little cheap / canteen feeling, but it doesn’t matter on the other side!

Went for dinner for the first time tonight! The welcome was really friendly and the restaurant looks clean and cozy! We chose the set menu. First the Tom ka Kai soup and then some Thai dishes. The soup was delicious!! We devoured it all but then the main course came and that was also quite a lot and we really couldn't finish it so we took it home! No problem at all for the lovely staff. Because of this we didn't have a dessert and we wanted to try that too so we will have to go back again! Let's not consider this a problem! Service, top! Food, top! A pearl in Rotterdam!

The pad thai and tom kha kai are delicious and so ar all the other dishes. Great place to have a good real thai dinner, for us its the best Thai Restaurant of Rotterdam and beyond!

the restaurant has a lively, yet cozy and homey dining experience as the owner is enthusiastic and the staff were very helpful. for a large dinner, we ordered tom kha kai, fish chilies, thai omelette, duck and more accompanied with fried rice and let me tell you, they were so full of flavor and balanced too. therefore, i strongly recommend this place for a great dining experience in Rotterdam!

I've been coming here with my family for a while now, and it continues to be such a pleasure every time 🥰. Eetcafé Thailand feels like a little piece of Thailand in the Netherlands 🇹🇭✨. The pad thai, massaman curry and satay are really our favorites, so full of flavor and always perfectly prepared 😋. The portions are generous, and everything tastes so fresh and spicy. The atmosphere is cozy and homely, and the staff is always friendly and attentive 😊. You really feel welcome here, as if you are sitting at the table with friends. I often come to Eetcafé Thailand and am very satisfied every time. It really feels like you are in a small part of Thailand, in the middle of the Netherlands. Pad thai and sipak are my firm favorites – great taste and generous portions. The service is always friendly and fast, and the ice cream for dessert is really delicious – definitely worth a try! The restaurant has a spacious, relaxed atmosphere and now that it is blossom season, the view is also beautiful. 😍

The restaurant is in a quiet area. You can see the kitchen from the sitting area, so you can watch as everything is prepared. The restaurant is clean and the service is excellent. Our server took the time to explain the dishes we ordered, to make sure they were exactly what we wanted. We ordered shrimp loempia and chicken satay to start, followed by green curry chicken and green curry duck. The food was delicious. The portions of the main dishes were big, so be aware of that.

On a Thursday afternoon I was walking past Eetcafe Thailand when the bright billboard and the smell of spices caught my attention. I wasn't planning on eating out, but I don't regret it. The young, pretty owner recommended me the squid with fresh basil - best. choice. ever. Perfectly tender with a spicy, flavorful sauce. I also ordered tom yam soup and fried sea bass with chili sauce. The soup was strong and aromatic, and the sea bass? Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, with a sauce so delicious that I wanted to lick my plate. I ordered way too much, but the lovely waitresses neatly packed everything to take home. Delicious food, generous portions and fair prices. I finished with mango sticky rice, and I would come back just for that dessert. Eetcafé Thailand is a hidden gem! If you like authentic Thai food, this is the place to be!

Visited on Valentine's Day. The positive atmosphere was the first thing I noticed. My fiancée got a rose. The food was delicious. One of the better Tom Ka Kai I've tasted in the Netherlands. Absolutely recommended. We will definitely come back here.

Even after the takeover, it is still the best Thai restaurant in the region. Picked up today and enjoyed the delicious food. 9-3-'25 What a great restaurant this is. You wouldn't expect it in Lombardy, but it is possible. Soon it will be twice as big, so everyone should go there for delicious Thai food. The dishes are not very spicy, except for the green curry. But if you want it spicy, you can have it spicy! I haven't finished the entire menu yet, but I'm a fan of the curries the most. They are excellent, but the Thai noodles are also very tasty. The stir-fry dishes and the Thai coconut soup with chicken. Everything is tasty and tastes like it tastes in Thailand. The owner makes you feel completely at ease. Pleasant, positive. It makes me happy every time! Recommended!!

January 10, 2025 Celebrated birthday, had a delicious meal. The menu was fantastic, so much that we were given doggy bags. Lots of attention from the super friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Yesterday we enjoyed evenings of Thai food with host Rob and all the staff were very nice! We chose the main menu with delicious soup, Thai coconut soup with chicken -Tom Ka Kai, Fish in chili sauce, Fried vegetables in red curry, curry with chicken, (not spicy), Beef Massaman curry, (not spicy), Beef Massaman curry, (not spicy) And received mango salad and fried sea bass 1000 gr for his birthday. with chili sauce! All really delicious!

Wonderful restaurant and such lovely people! The raw shrimp together with the shrimp cookies are my favorite 🤩 if you like Thai, this is highly recommended!!

Horrible owner. Terrible man with no manners or knowledge of customer service. Received nasty looks from start to finish and was almost pushed out of the restaurant. I can hardly imagine that all positive reviews are real. Food was tasty, but very expensive for what you get. Never again, unfortunately 👎🏼.

Wonderful place, a bit hidden in the neighborhood, but the food is excellent. I don't live nearby, but family does and after a funeral a group of us went there for dinner. Always have a soft spot for these types of restaurants where the emphasis is on the food. Staff with a heart for the business and a good menu. If you are with a group: call in advance and negotiate a rice table. There's also a bar, if that's your thing. Recommended!

The red mullet with prawns was excellent. The portions were generous. We couldn't finish the food and we were offered to take the food with us. We were asked if they could replenish the rice. We have been on holiday in Thailand before and like to visit a good Thai. Based on the many good reviews, I gave it a try here. But that was disappointing, this looks like a bad Thai Dutch snack bar. Representation and quality of the food does not correspond to the prices. Fried sea bass recommended by the owner turns out to be deep fried, which makes the fish very dry. Dutch ingredients are used, such as Dutch basil instead of Thai. I really don't understand where the many good reviews come from, we will quickly go back to our favorite Thai Signature.

Well..... staff was super friendly. A very nice tent. I'm not a fussy eater, but it still has a special taste. The fermented part is not my thing. But it looked neat and tidy! My daughter and her boyfriend love it and come there often. Tastes differ.

Discovery for us on the way to the airport. This will be a regular stop: delicious food, authentic and fresh. Wonderful family business. The host made the experience complete by chatting with everyone. A bit busy, but that is part of a successful business like this, and honestly, it was very reminiscent of the pleasant hustle and bustle in Thailand. Top!

Had a delicious meal with Rob (a classmate from primary school), so nice to see him after years, and what a good restaurant he has, it was a party.

The 1st and last time I ate here. We had a reservation for 6 people and 2 more children joined us. I went to report this properly before the rest came in. Then he made a comment: 'where should I put them, in the garbage bin?' Upon arrival there was no warm welcome at all. When we took a seat, the owner kept looking at us with a grumpy look. The staff was also not impressed with our arrival. This made us feel uncomfortable. I would almost say it came across as racist. When serving, nothing was said and the food and drinks were placed at whoever ordered them. There was no smile and no please either. The food was also nothing special. The tastiest was the prawn crackers. I was going to give the staff a tip when paying, but the person who brought the bill didn't quite understand. This caused confusion and the owner came to me to ask whether the return was correct. He was probably hoping for an even bigger tip. 1 tip for you Mr. Rob; If a customer gives you less than 1 euro tip, that is a statement. When we left the restaurant he shouted throughout the restaurant how much tip we had given, which made everyone look after us and you could clearly hear how annoyed he was. We wished them all a nice evening and we received no greetings in return. All in all, a very bad experience. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go here.

Restaurant Thailand is a real gem in Rotterdam. There are few things I miss since my move to Austria, but the delicious food from Rob and his great team and the atmosphere in his great store are definitely on that list... and are more than worth the 1100km di3bik I drove for it. For a cafe, you can enjoy delicious food here. Really great. The service is also great, super friendly. But the prices have nothing to do with an eatery. Pretty hefty prices and even if there is some left and you take it with the prices for the containers and bags. I understand and it's the rule. But it is imposed heavily. Also as many tables as possible in one room, so nice and busy. We have been there once and for that money I would rather be in a GURU Restaurant than an Eetcafé.

Today we had another delicious meal at our favorite Thai in Rotterdam. I celebrated my birthday there so a glass of bubbles was a must. For dinner today I chose the Phad Thai 💝 and my table companion took the cashew chicken with fried rice. We couldn't finish it all and took the leftover food home. We'll have a nice snack for lunch tomorrow! Thank you to all employees who once again provided a wonderful evening!

We had dinner here for the first time on Saturday February 10, 2024. In short: fantastic!!! Said a little longer: We were 3 people. As a starter we had fish cakes, chicken satay, shrimp biscuits and chicken spring rolls. We were given a plate and the starters were placed in the center of the table so we could easily share. Actually everything was delicious, but our 16-year-old daughter liked the fish cakes so much that she also ordered them as a main dish. I thought that was exaggerated, so I ordered the soup as a snack (mild coconut with shrimp) and I give it a 9. Delicious! As a main course my wife had duck breast with red curry and gabekken sea bass with chili. It gets monotonous, but these dishes were also delicious. Our eyes were once again bigger than our stomachs, so we took some of the main dishes home. The service is super fast and attentive. How nice is it when your glass is empty and the waiter asks if you want more, while this is in no way pushy. Nice atmosphere. All tables full and yet what you ordered is delivered quickly. How beautiful is that. We will definitely go back! Andre

De sfeer is geweldig. Personeel is uitstekend en gastheer heel gezellig. Het eten is werkelijk perfect.(thaise rijsttafel) Waar wij hadden verwacht rond 21.30 weg te gaan werd het 23.00. Wij(4 mannen van de kickboksgym) hebben een geweldige avond gehad en mooie verhalen gehoord over kickboks verleden van de eigenaar,over Thailand over het restaurant enz enz. Snel weer terug hier

Zoveel passie en enthousiasme bij personeel in de keuken en aan tafel kan alleen maar worden gewaardeerd met de maximale 5 sterren!
