Nice atmosphere and pleasant service. The kitchen needs attention; our ‘Premium Hamburger’ had to be sent back twice because it was still completely cold inside. This was despite the careful preparation, according to the owner. We did receive free desserts as compensation, which was certainly appreciated. The pizza was fine, though.

Including honest, fresh stone oven pizzas! Super friendly and welcoming service, relaxed atmosphere.

The lunch was delicious, the service super good and the atmosphere very cozy, so we were satisfied.

Cozy place at Castellum Hoge Woerd. As a young family, you can have a great time here; there is a small play area for young children and good service. The food is not very expensive, simple, and fresh. We love coming here; the kids can enjoy playing outside and seeing farm animals in the backyard.

We had a delicious meal before the summer evening performance. The pizzas were excellent, and so were the starters. And the staff was very friendly. The only downside: the pizzas are difficult to cut with knives. Perhaps provide a pizza cutter?

Had a delicious meal at a unique location. The weather was beautiful, so we sat outside. What a treat. The service was very friendly and the food delicious. It does take some getting used to ordering your food digitally and paying immediately. The advantage, however, is that you never get something completely different from what you ordered. It also goes very smoothly. Which is nice when you are going to a performance.

The lunch food is dire at best. The sauce on the burger tasted rotten and the bread stale for a place that has a wooden oven! Whats the point of having a wooden oven for pizza if you only turn it on after 17:00. i definitely won’t go back since I felt sick after eating the burger

Great space with plenty of outdoor play area. The staff forgot a lot of drinks, and the veggie burger only had sauces and no vegetables, onions, or other toppings. The fries were delicious, though! All in all, fine for a one-time visit.

Good pizza with a nice kids corner, very popular on a Sunday during lunch time.

We reserved a table and met up with friends for drinks and snacks. The children had a great time playing both inside and outside. The selection of drinks is excellent, and the snacks were ready quickly and delicious. Plenty of choice, and we also enjoyed the food.

Nice cafe behind a museum. Staff is very friendly, kids can play with the toys in the corner of the restaurant. Toilets are clean and have the necessary accessories for woman.

My husband complained that he only got half a glass of beer, with the rest just foam. It’s really annoying for someone who just wants to enjoy a proper glass of beer.

The service was never their strong point but after their re-opening is simply horrible... it is also unacceptable that you can't find anywhere (menu at the store or online) the prices of the drinks!!!

It's so great that you're open again! I had a lovely lunch there with my kids. The kids also had a blast playing while we waited for our food. Very relaxing!

We always enjoy coming to Castellum café. As frequent visitors to Steede Hoge Woerd, it's wonderful to be able to enjoy a bite to eat or a drink. Ordering via QR code is super convenient; you pay immediately, so you don't have to wait for the bill. There are toys and plenty of space for the kids to play. There are also some really fun coloring pages that fit the location. The pizzas are truly delicious, and if you have a sweet tooth, try the Torta della Nona. Perfect with a cappuccino (and they have oat milk!). I read a lot of bittersweet comments here from people who don't understand the massive staff shortage in the hospitality industry. Despite the fact that there are often just a few staff, we still enjoy coming here. The location, the food, and the drinks are fantastic. And the staff do their utmost, even though they sometimes have to serve everyone on their own.

Before the incident with the ceiling I used to come here regularly. Lunch and cake are delicious here, I don't recommend dinner, tried it twice, but I'll stick to that as far as pizzas are concerned. You can sit there quietly, outside when the weather is nice. I hope they open again soon, because for lunch it's really recommended.

I ate there a while ago, and it was definitely nothing to write home about. There were only a few guests, but I waited at least 25 minutes for a simple grilled cheese sandwich and a hamburger. The grilled cheese sandwich was decent (what could possibly go wrong with that?), but the hamburger was the kind made with shoe soles and wasn't very warm. I'm not usually one for reviews, but when I heard the cook and his assistant swearing at me with the most horrible illnesses, I had had enough. I've heard the roof needs replacing. Maybe it would be a good idea to replace the staff as well.

We spontaneously came for a drink in the evening. The cafe was almost empty, except for 3 small groups of people. We sat inside and there is actually no atmosphere. It is a cold open space. Maybe it is better on the terrace, but the weather was not right for that.

Super good place to have a lunch with nice atmosphere. They have nice beers such as La Trappe from the tap. It should be better rated than only 4 stars.

You can't say they prepare Italian food here. I ordered two sparsely topped pizzas for a price higher than in a real pizzeria. One with extra mushrooms for €1.50 more. The mushroom pieces were maybe two mushrooms in total. A container of mushrooms also costs €1.50 in a store, for comparison. That's a nice profit. The staff aren't restaurant staff. They're hobbyists. Don't get me wrong, they do their best, but you do have to explain to them what restaurant service is. Especially with prices like that, you expect a restaurant. See the capital "H"? You don't expect glasses to be handed over by grabbing them from above with your fingers on the rim where I still have to put my lips. You're asking for a premium. Fine, for that location. I understand your eagerness. But considering the quality you deliver, this verges on exploiting your beautiful location. Train your staff and be critical of the price-quality ratio.

Went to CastellumCafe for a business lunch and have to say when you arrive at Castellum you think wow, what a complex, beautifully set up. However, when you enter CastellumCafe it could just as well be a school canteen, which is a bit unpleasant. The staff who work in the service don't seem to have much interest in it and if you bring the drinks to four people within 1 minute and you can't remember who had what, you are not doing your job. The hamburger is way too expensive for what you get, the bun is a bit soggy. You can expect everything from such an environment to go along with the concept, but this seems to have fallen by the wayside. Missed opportunity!

The waiter actually grabbed all the glasses on the edge (where you place your lips or in the glasses). Really terribly dirty. We indicated this. But he didn't do much with it. The newly ordered drinks all had greasy fingers or sticky lipstick on the edge of the glass. Of course I don't drink from this. When serving a new glass he said: here you have a cleaner glass..

Gezellig café met ook boekjes en speelgoed voor de kinderen. Bestellen met qr-code, cheesecake, koffie en later een wijntje besteld. De banken en stoelen en tafels zijn wel enorm vies, vlekken en niet goed schoongemaakt.

It’s a lovely cafe especially with family / kids. Many things to do inside. Kids can keep themselves busy and you can sip a coffee in peace. Later can go pat a bunny. Highly recommended.

Wij kwamen hier voorheen best vaak, na een vorige slechte ervaring zijn we een tijdje niet geweest. Vandaag hebben we het weer een kans gegeven, maar de service is inmiddels echt om te janken. Eén van de dingen waarover ik vorige keer chagrijnig was, was dat ik € 3,75 moest afrekenen voor de extra witte boterham die we voor onze dochter vroegen. De eigenaar gaf toen aan dat dit ongebruikelijk was. Ik dacht dat hij daarmee de prijs bedoelde, maar weet nu dat het kennelijk ongebruikelijk is dat je überhaupt een extra boterham krijgt. Vandaag hebben we er twee maal om gevraagd maar niet gekregen. Er waren zes medewerkers in de zaak en zes tafeltjes bezet. Alle tijd voor de klant zou je denken, maar vergeet het maar. De tafel naast ons bleef ten minste een uur on-afgeruimd, dat ziet er gewoon heel slordig uit. Bediening is onattent en niet alert. We bestellen en droge witte wijn, serveerster vraagt: 'wit of rood'. Vervolgens bestel ik twee kroketten op witbrood, serveerster vraagt: 'op wit of op bruinbrood'. De bestelde kroketten worden vervolgens zonder mosterd geserveerd, dat heb ik nog nooit ergens gezien. Na het eten worden een paar borden weggehaald, maar een deel van de troep blijft gewoon op tafel staan. Vervolgens worden we zeker een half uur totaal genegeerd. Toen we vroegen of we nog iets mochten bestellen, kregen we doodleuk als antwoord dat er eerst een tafel moest worden afgeruimd, dat was dus de tafel die al een uur met vieze troep erop stond. Al met al een abominabele ervaring, jammer want het was hier ooit best leuk. Wij komen echt nooit meer terug.

Een uitstekende plaats om met een groep iets te vieren. Vriendelijk en hartelijk personeel, vlot serveren van de maaltijd, flexibel. En bij dat alles een heel goede akoestiek! Bovendien is er de mogelijkheid om je samenzijn te combineren met museumbezoek aan Castellum Hoge Woerd en een uitstekende rondleiding. Geweldig dus!

Niet gezellige sfeer, teveel tafels dicht op elkaar, Moet tegen schreeuwende rennende hoestende kinderen kunnen. Allergieonvriendelijk. Kunnen geen friet leveren die niet in garnalenvet gebakken is. Plus: waren daar wel eerlijk over.

Heerlijk op het terras gezeten. Kinderen vermaakte zich met het speelgoed binnen. Bestellen via QR code werkte goed. Eigenlijk gewoon top 👍

Mocht je eraan denken: raad Mooi Weer Op Straat eens aan voor een optreden voor wat dan ook: trouwerijen, festivals, etc. We zijn toch in de buurt (komen uit Utrecht). Bestellen via de QR-code is top, het werkt snel (je krijgt je bestelling ook vlot) en je kunt direct afrekenen. Let wel, mijn favoriete taartje stond online uitverkocht terwijl hij nog gewoon in de koelkast stond!

Mooi restaurant en vriendelijke personeel. De sfeer is er goed. Helaas wel aan de dure kant. Voor 3,30 kreeg ik, om mee te nemen, een cappuccino in een kartonnen beker net zoals ik die gratis in een wachtkamer mag nemen. Wel was het een lekkere cappuccino.

Heerlijke keuken van uitstekende kwaliteit en een warme, gezellige ontspannen sfeer en hartelijke ontvangst. Vriendelijke snelle bediening. Verschillende bieren van de tap. Een echte aanrader.

Heel gemakkelijk en drankje bij het kinderboerderij bezoek, de kinderen spelen binnen heerlijk door!

Het is meer een idee van nette bedrijfskantine. Menu heeft voor iedereen wel iets lekkers. Overigens, pizza's worden daar zelf gebakken en waren prima. Ook belangrijk, gastvrij.

Slechte service. App om te bestellen werkt vaker niet dan wel. En als je na een half uur op je bittergarnituur te hebben gewacht te horen krijgt dat de keuken pauze heeft, dan gaat er ook wel iets mis. Excuses is leuk, maar beter communiceer je pauzes of plan je ze zo dat er nog iets door kan gaan.

Slechte bediening. Via de QR code bestellen. Op de website staat dan dat je ook tafelservice kan vragen. Dat wilden we graag, we zaten er met twee hoogzwangere vrouwen en twee twee-jarigen. De serveerster zei echter dat we aan de bar moesten bestellen. Met de vraag of we tafelservice konden krijgen, werden we wederom naar de bar verwezen. Dit terwijl er letterlijk nog drie andere tafels bezet waren en het dus heel rustig was. Erg onprofessioneel en ongastvrij.

Het eten was goed. Leuk om met kinderen te bezoeken. Minpunt dat je met QRcode moet bestellen en afrekenen dat maakt het onpersoonlijk

Superfijne plek om met kinderen te komen. Ze hebben een overzichtelijke menukaart en personeel is vriendelijk. Wij hadden de hamburger (lekker mals vlees en goed op smaak) met friet, pizza, en zoete aardappel friet. Het zijn goede porties. Alleen vind ik de friet lekkerder als die wat krokanter gebakken is.

This is a nice place to eat, not to expensive and great for kids. It's my daughters favorite place to go :). They don't have a lot of variety though, and the staff is Quick but can be a bit 'get to the point'

Leuke binnenplaats met terras en restaurant in oude nieuwe castellum. Vandaag op terras gezeten en geserveerd terwijl ( zo bleek later) eigenlijk niet open waren. Klasse gedaan. Tot snel.

De hertenstoof die we hebben afgehaald was heerlijk. Maar een minpunt waren de frietjes die onderin het bakje zaten. Helemaal sopperig geworden. Idee om ze apart te verpakken?

Mooie locatie, vriendelijk personeel. Maar een restaurant die geen verse jus kan aanbieden terwijl het wel op de kaart staat vind ik een min punt. Vervolgens kies je zoals op de kaart staat vermeld een "Verse" perensap en dan krijg je en sapje geserveerd uit een flesje.

Hele leuke plek, na invoering van de nieuwe kaart is eten minder smakelijk helaas.

Leuke kennismaking, fijn terras, mooie voorzieningen. Ik kom graag terug om van alles te bekijken.
