Çavuş Bar in Hoofdweg e.o.

Extremely filthy place. We were just about to go in and there was literally a rat outside the door. Through the window, you could see a couple inside. The terrace was also covered in rubble and dirt. Definitely one of the dirtiest cafes in Amsterdam. 100% not recommended.

We were only here for drinks; we didn't eat anything. The service was fast and friendly, nothing to complain about! The drinks were also well-prepared and delicious, but quite pricey. But that's the case everywhere in Amsterdam 🤭

Horrible bartender last night. You don't yell at guests/customers when they accidentally put their hat on. And if you, as a guest/customer, try to explain it, you get yelled at even more. Horrible person. I'm a bartender myself, and that's no way to treat guests/customers. If you can't handle the hospitality industry anymore, quit.

I was visiting from New York and happened to stumble upon this gem on their Salsa night! The bar tenders were super friendly and made great conversation. The music was on point and I even got to chat with the owner for a bit, lovely person. If you’re in Amsterdam and want to catch a vibe, I would definitely check this spot out!
