I am a fan of Chinese/Chinese-Dutch food myself. This Chinese restaurant is good; however, I know better ones in Arnhem and the surrounding area where the sauces taste a bit more refined and don't taste like an improved Sligro version.

My favorite Chinese takeout in the region!

Man, I had such a delicious meal here! You can already taste that the food is fresh and flavorful. The woman at the counter is also very friendly and always has a nice chat with you. I will definitely come here more often, their food is very tasty!

For the price you charge, I think your food could be made a bit better; things are burnt or there is too little of it when you order for two. It's not like it used to be, which is a shame because we always enjoyed ordering from you.

Babi ketjap was delicious, the pork belly was also nice and crispy. The nasi was good too, the bami looked tasty, and the satay was divine. Ordered for the first time, definitely worth repeating.

Under new ownership for a year and a half now, the food is much better than before. We had another delicious meal last night: wok-topped tenderloin in black bean sauce with vegetables and, as an extra, satay. The spring rolls are also excellent, as are the other dishes we've had before.

The order arrived late due to delivery (Thuisbezorgd). But the lovely lady on the phone was very polite about this and then offered a new meal. Excellent service and excellent food, highly recommended!

Order placed at 1:00 PM for delivery at 6:20 PM, delivery driver unavailable, and food still hadn't arrived 40 minutes after the expected time. I called several times, only to receive a lengthy explanation about the percentage the restaurant pays to home delivery. There was no customer service or compensation for three hungry children. At best, rude.

We order from them often, the food is delicious! Today, unfortunately, something went wrong with the delivery, but it was resolved very well and kindly. As someone else already mentioned: favorite Chinese restaurant.

The food is always super fresh and incredibly delicious, with so many options – even for vegetarians or if you have specific dietary requirements. The staff is always friendly and really helpful. We often order here, our food is always delicious and nice and warm on arrival. Yesterday they forgot the kroepokoek, I called the lady who was very friendly and helpful and it was immediately resolved. Today they came to the door with the kroepokoek and something extra. Atmosphere 1 star because it is just takeaway. Service is just good/normal. Food is fine. Some dishes may be different from other Chinese dishes. I didn't really like the large pieces of onion in the foe yong hai. The sha shieuw was fine.

Babi Pangang recently ordered bone-dry pulled pork and not crispy at all. Thought I'd give it one more try but this time Babi Bacon, the meat was disastrously prepared, fried rock hard and almost to the middle as hard as a rock and pieces black on the outside. From now on, I'll have to get Chinese myself again

Ordered something for the first time and had it delivered. We were pleasantly surprised. We had Babi pangang, Kung po beef tenderloin with white rice and fried banana. It tasted very good, the delivery person was on time and the food was hot. It was worth repeating.

Today Saturday I had food delivered at about 8:15 PM. But the food was cold. I threw it away completely because I find cold food disgusting, especially with cold peanut sauce. Bah. Bah. My zip code is 6842AW in Elden. I am very curious about your response.

Wokbox was tasty, but the portion not really worth the money. I prefer a cardboard box like in friends.

For every arriving visitor/orderer, Do yourself a favor and get your food somewhere else. I placed an order last Sunday and it turned out terribly. But let me start at the beginning so you understand where I'm coming from. Around 6.30 pm I placed an order for 1 person via Thuisbezorgd (a wok box & mini spring rolls). I found that the delivery time would be longer (25 - 50 minutes). My food arrived just before 8pm. I thought that was bad...no. I had already counted on this & orders during the weekend always take longer. No problem! 20 minutes after placing the order, I called the restaurant to ask if it had already been received correctly. Since I had not received a confirmation email. I was greeted kindly, assured that everything had arrived safely and told that my meal was currently being prepared. Top! No comment of any kind on this at the time and now afterwards. Which brings us to the food...and oh boy. It is currently 02.32 Tuesday to Wednesday night that I am writing this review, two days after I have eaten my meal, and over the past few days I have (and I am not lying) made quite a few toilet visits for various NMR 2's that are more look like nmr 1s!!! It's so bad that I sleep on the couch in the living room because it's closest to the toilet, in case I need to sprint (3 times last night alone). I have now had 2 broken nights with added stomach aches, headaches and stools that look, feel, color and smell more like dung that I curse this restaurant! My only luck that I had a long weekend. I will never order food here again, pick it up or eat it there again!

The food was fine, only the address on home delivery is an old address. They are now on the other side of Arnhem, which means that the food was cold when we got home.

Simple restaurant, small but you can get good food or have it delivered.

Good food and delivered quickly

The food was nothing to sneeze at! Soup was water the meals were salty with little to no structure! My dogs even refused to eat it 🥘

Besides the fact that I had to wait 1.5 hours for my food, these people just sell old/spoiled food. My fried rice pulled like glue and turned sour and literally spoiled the next day (note in less than 24 hours). That means you're just selling spoiled food. NVWA really MUST visit here. Wow, really dirty. Never again!!

Worthless, you ask for delivery 1800, called 1815 were on their way, 1830 still nothing, it wasn't ready then, asked for money back because we really had to leave, only got a big mouth, bye money, no one ordering there anymore.!!!

They are never on time. If you can't make the prefered time, don't put the option there. Food is always awesome, except the tomatosoup. It's just waaay too sweet. And I really enjoy sweet tomatosoup. Meats are very tender. Sauces are perfect too. Bubble tea is amazing!

Ordered some on the advice of a friend. Everything was ready quickly. They have a small shop there, very nice. Ate at home with great taste and recently returned. Recommended!

A China city menu for 2 people with chicken soup and tomato soup ordered on April 23, 2023. The food tastes good and the portions are good for 2 people. Tomato soup +++ Chicken soup +

3 kiploempia speciaal afgehaald. De kip was ver te zoeken, merendeels wat er in zat was taugé. Het vet droop eraf. Wij zijn er allebei ziek van geworden. Overgeven en diarree. En dan ook nog €17.70 voor drie loempia's. Dan mag je toch wel wat kwaliteit verwachten? Het zag er uit, dat het heel oud vet was. Nee hier zou ik nooit meer wat halen. Sinds ze alleen maar afhaalchinees zijnis het eten er niet beter op geworden. Bah, ik raad het iedereen af om hier nog wat te bestellen.

Friendly people and nice milk tea

Ik heb online besteld en laten bezorgen. Tijdens de bestelling heb ik 4 euro fooi gegeven, voor de bezorgers, dat heb er extra bij vermeld. Toen het eten kwam vertelde de bezorger mij dat ze nooit fooi krijgen, die zijn betaald bij de online bestellingen. Dus de eigenaresse steelt van de bezorgers. Het eten is Oke maar de diefstal gaat door.

We had just ordered a wok box with chicken curry, but it was without curry, very tasteless, never again! We no longer order food from China City

We ordered Chinese Bami with Babi Pangang and chicken satay here this evening. After an hour of waiting, it arrived lukewarm to cold with a delivery person on his bicycle. When we called the restaurant to report it, they blamed the cold weather, so we could either wait another hour for new food or get "compensation" for a next order (which as far as we're concerned, won't happen anymore). I wonder how they get the food warm to customers' homes when it gets even colder outside and starts to freeze.

Not delicious, especially the soup. But wok can give a try, the fancy pic on reviews are not actually from this restaurant btw.

Worthless service and handling. Waiting 90 minutes for your food. Someone has sat on prawn crackers and the food is just cold. Leave the delivery person in the cooler with other rides. If you call, they will first deny it. After that it's like this. Next order they no longer remember the appointment that has been made. Delivery is not even possible with PIN. I won't order anything from here again!

Ordered food today.....very disappointed. Food was cold, delivered half an hour later than stated in the email. I contacted China City, they told me to heat it up in the microwave.😱 This can't be true. You don't order food and reheat it yourself, do you??!! Bami and nasi tasteless and is just rice and noodles After calling with a complaint, no excuses and just kept blaming the delivery person. We will never order from here again, really bad.

Quality really leaves a lot to be desired. The braised meat was rock solid and rock hard. How old will it be before that is possible? It was the last time for me.

Drieslag Chinese was closed and this was the nearest, dirty food does not exist in my country, but now I literally know what dirty food is. Went straight into the trash. No taste at all, and it was really raw, not even in the wok

NEVER AGAIN. Even after calling 3 times, we had to wait over an hour for our order.... Last time we received food that was not warm. Despite very good previous experiences, we are now dropping out here.

Picked up the China City menu today, what a mockery, very little food and that for €21. All half containers and even then you don't put much in them pffff. We called the store and also discussed that there was only 1 type of beef instead of 2, which is also on the menu. Those 2 types of meat are together in 1 container?? That's what we were told. Ordered food today Nov 22. Through their own site. Had to wait 1.5 hours. We got the food. We were able to throw away 1 dish immediately. I think that was from last week. We didn't dare eat it and it was ice cold. The soup cold. Bami rames, you guessed it, cold. Called and explained neatly. It is busy. That's fine, but delivering cold food has nothing to do with crowds. You'll get a little discount next time. A little discount, everything was cold and I didn't dare eat one dish. De bezorging kwam op de afgesproken tijd. De Pekingeend was niet vers, de rest van het bestelde was goed. Eerst volgende bestelling gaan wij zeker kijken of alles vers is.

My old Chinese, delicious food for a normal price.. Been there many times for 23 years.. When we ordered something it was always: without any explanation 😊 then they knew it was for me.

Chinees afhaalrestaurant met lekker eten. Voorheen naar een ander Chinees restaurant gegaan omdat de kwaliteit van het eten hier matig was, maar dit is zeer verbeterd waardoor ik hier weer heen ga.

Goed eten en ik werd leuk ontvangen toen ik ging afhalen, maar bij bezorgen vroegen ze €2,50 (ook bij een bestelling van €30)

Ruime keuze. Wel knap aan de prijs!
