After the renovation, there is a good new menu, and the staff regularly checks to see if everything is to your liking. The decor is cozy and the food is good. There is a fifteen-minute gap between rounds of orders, and the food is often brought by then. So you never have to wait long.

New restaurant after the renovation. It looks nice. New concept: all you can eat and just order from the menu. We ordered foejonghai and bamipangang with fried noodles. We were served foejonghai and the bamipangang first. We were told to finish those first because the noodles might take a bit longer. And the bami arrived fifteen minutes later. And it was lukewarm. No, not worth the money considering the size and taste of the portion. If you are a big eater, you can go there (all you can eat), but if you aren't, go to another restaurant.

Food and decor perfect after the renovation. Only the new concept is worthless. They want to introduce a sort of Chinese-style tapas formula. That doesn't work. You can order all kinds of small dishes, but you eat most dishes at the same time; whereas here, everything comes in intervals. First a kind of fried rice (they don't have bami or nasi anymore), and after fifteen minutes, the main course. So the rice is cold. This formula doesn't work. Serve the main course immediately with a side dish. It can, of course, be a small portion that you can order extra. Order everything with a QR code. So bring a charged mobile phone. K

I've had takeout twice since the renovation. The taste and quality are still very good. Everything tasted delicious. I'm curious to see how beautiful the restaurant will turn out.

The food is always delicious! They did stop with the buffet after the renovation. That's a shame, because that was always the reason for us to visit rather than order. The new concept isn't really our thing... it's also a pity that you have to pay extra for the desserts (mainly) unless you go for one scoop of ice cream per person, but as I said, the food is always excellent and the restaurant looks nice!

Perfect combination for picking up classic Chinese food and tasting unlimited dishes with an Asian touch. The renovation has brought the concept completely up to date. I will be back because I haven't been able to taste the entire menu yet, and at other times I enjoy ordering Chinese delivery.

I ordered the chicken breast in black bean sauce, but unfortunately, it was disappointing. The sauce was very watery and lacked the strong, savory flavor you would expect from black bean sauce. The chicken was tender and contained plenty of vegetables, but the dish as a whole tasted bland and unseasoned. The portion was fine, but in terms of taste, this was not what I had expected. It is a shame, because with a richer sauce, this could have been a much better dish.

We have been coming here for over 20 years. Nice restaurant; despite the renovation that is still ongoing, you can still get takeout. Beef tenderloin in black bean sauce is my favorite.

Finally able to order again after the renovation, although I suspect the restaurant has changed owners as well, but certainly the chef. Unfortunately, the salmon sushi box was no longer available, the chicken with pineapple was as sweet as cotton candy, and the babi pangang was dry and as salty as seawater, with a sauce that looked more like a can of tomato paste mixed with that same water, as opposed to the usual salty/sour version. A real shame, because we have enjoyed ordering and eating here for years.

I've eaten here quite often; it was always very tasty. Now there is no live cooking anymore. That was really good, delicious! Now it is only à la carte or buffet. We had chosen the buffet, but I didn't enjoy it this time. Sorry, but I really felt like a waste of my money. Actually, I have never eaten such bad Chinese food.

We always come here for the buffet. Vegetarians can order menus in ala cart. Buffet options is delicious. They have fresh sushi too. The atmosphere is cozy and big space. Staffs are helpful and nice. The price is not bad for such a good options for buffet. We love to come here!

Nice shop and wide choice and it is tasty

Attentive and friendly welcome, food is of excellent taste and quality, slightly more expensive than the average Chinese, attractive decor with separate areas for Japanese and Chinese, free parking.

Food was really nice - and also the quantity

I'm usually very satisfied with China Palace. The quality and portions are good, and I'm often very satisfied with the delivery service. However, today, November 23, 2025, I unfortunately had to wait over two hours; the food was lukewarm. I understand that Sundays are busy, but this isn't a good advertisement when you're spending €75 on Chinese food! Again, I understand, but I just expect something good for that price!

Last night I ordered sushi and pork belly and picked it up at the restaurant. When I got home, I realized I'd received the wrong order. That happens, but when I called, I was told they couldn't deliver the correct order. I had to drive all the way back and waste gas again just to get my own order. I also found it odd that I was asked to return the incorrect order—that didn't feel right, because I really wonder what happens next. The quality of the sushi was also extremely disappointing, something I'm not used to here. What made it even more disappointing was that no compensation was offered, despite all the extra effort and the mistake on their part. All in all, a very disappointing experience.

An authentic Chinese restaurant, spacious and with friendly staff. The food is good, but nothing special for me. It's like reliving the 80s. Clean and tidy.

Tonight I picked up Tjap Tjoy with chicken. Pretty bland and barely any chicken. The satay was good. All in all, it really wasn't worth €26. Note: I've picked up better food before.

Delicious food, even for takeout. It's a bit dated inside. There are some things that really need replacing after 25 years. With the exception of one balding person, I think they don't know what customer service means.

When I was a kid, I used to go there with family. Recently, on a colleague's recommendation, I got some takeout. It had been at least 30 years since I'd been there. The chicken was dry, and the rest wasn't much better. China Palace used to have a good reputation. Now the quality of the food has really plummeted to mediocre at best. I won't be making the detour for that anymore.

Ordered takeout for the first time here, a simple nasi satay—the word "simple" doesn't apply here. The nasi was delicious, especially because it was generously filled with vegetables, chicken, and onion. The added peas were especially tasty, and everything that makes a good nasi so good, including the satay and sauce, was delicious. This is often different at Chinese restaurants; lots of rice but few vegetables. The service was also friendly, and the people were nice. The restaurant and takeout area look beautiful and welcoming. Fantastic, compliments! I had a delicious meal. Highly recommended.

I have a roommate who sleeps very early because of work. I have ordered from here several times and each time I of course stated in the delivery instructions "please do not ring the doorbell, please call me on my phone" and then of course gave my number. almost every time the doorbell rings. Now it happened for the umpteenth time today and then I was done with it and called the restaurant. I first calmly explained the situation and then I was told "yes, sorry, but what do you want us to do with this". I said "well something other than just a sorry because that is of no use to me, a discount I know literally something" then I was laughed at, as if it is the strangest thing to hold a restaurant responsible, why on earth do I write delivery descriptions. I was then informed that I would be called back, but of course that didn't happen. for the food, you pay almost 30 euros including delivery for a meal that is honestly mediocre. nothing special about it, babi pangang is often tough, noodles are quite tasteless compared to other restaurants. the noodles are reasonable, but of course you pay 3.50 extra for it. There are worse Chinese restaurants, but you also pay a lot less there. my advice, there are better chinese restaurants in the area that are also cheaper and have a much much better service, because to emphasize that, I have never called a restaurant with a complaint and then I was laughed at, ridiculous behavior and like I look at the other reviews and I'm not the only one. suggestions for other restaurants: Red Orchids Asian Bistro, Mandarin Heemstede, China Fantasy Hoofddorp and any Asian Delights

On December 24, 2024. Take away food. A menu. For about 62 euros. When we got home we went to eat. The only thing that had any taste was the soup. But the rest was not at all, it was all bland. Very unfortunate for so much money. We are used to you better.

We rarely get Chinese food, but we decided to get a rice table again with my parents and the kids. Even though it was busy on Sunday, we were able to order immediately and after 20 minutes we were outside again with 2 full bags. The six of us had a delicious meal and used up the leftovers the next day.

Waited more than 2 hours for the food. Of course I called after 1 hour and 45 minutes. They said it was on its way but it was incorrect, called again after 15 minutes. When the food arrived, it was partly still cold. This isn't the first time this happened. This is the last time I order here.

Ate here for the umpteenth time. Often with friends at the weekend for a buffet, but also just one of the delicious dishes on the menu on a weekday. Today, after weeks of Greek food in Crete, we went back to China Palace for the buffet. The buffet is on Saturday and Sunday. My grandchildren also love this concept where they can choose from the many dishes. The varied dishes on the menu sometimes make it difficult to choose because everything here is simply delicious 😋 The employees are helpful and friendly, keep it up!

Today we had food delivered by China Palace and this time we ordered something different than usual. We were pleasantly surprised by the curry chicken! Nice and spicy and good flavour. The stewed beef was also delicious. And everything was delivered hot and quickly. Thank you 😋

They were nice people, received hospitably. Both my wife and I were less enthusiastic about the food. My wife had Foe Young Hai Chicken and I had Babi Pangang lean meat My wife and I both found both dishes lacking in flavor. The sauce with both dishes lacked a bit of spice / bite. A little spicier as usual in other places would have made it tastier.

However, you must take into account that the Chinese China Palace in Heemstede is CLOSED on Monday. And the food is fantastic. More and more Chinese are disappearing, but fortunately this Chinese is still there. I would recommend it to anyone living near Heemstede.
