Super nice to sit and very sweet staff!

This is a must for anyone who enjoys delicious oriental food. We had a fantastic evening.

What a disappointment... I last got something here four years ago and then switched to another Chinese restaurant that does deliver quality, but is on vacation. Tried again tonight. Spring roll: wet, greasy, and burnt on the outside from being deep-fried for so long. (photo) Babi Pang Gang: dry and burnt, thickly covered in sauce (photo) Bami: dripping with grease (photo). Kuloejuk: dripping with grease, tastes okay. The owner responded to this review by denying and downplaying it, and doesn't seem to understand that this was an isolated mistake; apparently, this is standard practice at this Chinese restaurant. Cheerful waiter, honest about the price of the disc and glassware. Not a hit because it doesn't contain wagyu. We expected Chinese but Japanese is fine too. In short, highly recommended.

We went here for dinner with family. It was very quiet, but the staff was super friendly. It was nice to chat with them. After we couldn't finish all the food, we were given some storage containers. Great service.

Based on the high rating on Yums and the few Yums restaurants in Zwolle (and certainly no Yums acceptors 🤨) I ended up here. The food is okay, service is top, but because the Japanese food is an all-you-can-eat concept, I find it less suitable as a solo eater. If you are with more people, that is completely understandable and great. Unfortunately I had not seen this in advance. Apart from that, I do not find the rating of above 8/9 re-al. I eat out regularly and have enough material for comparison.

We often eat "upstairs" at the all you can eat / Japanese section. Enough choice, something for everyone. If desired, something can always be adjusted in consultation (with or without sauce, for example) Super friendly and hardworking staff.

I call with my order 45 minutes in advance, it can be ready in 15 minutes, so we agreed on a time. Traffic isn't too bad and I'm almost 10 minutes early, but it's already ready. To follow up, I will call a little later.

As always a wonderful and tasty experience. I've lost count of how many times I've been here. And every time I leave with a smile. The decoration is beautiful. The food is exceptionally delicious! The atmosphere is always cozy and the service is irresistibly pleasant! I will come here often enough and I already know that every time will be a pleasure.

We used to like coming here for the Japanese, so this year we ate there again at Christmas in the early morning. Unfortunately it was very disappointing. We were able to order three times in two hours, because we were simply not seen. The food seemed to have been prepared two days ago and the portion had been halved. A hand roll was just gnawing on the seaweed roll, little rice and a little bit of fish. The salad was a mini salad with not fresh iceberg lettuce. We actually wanted to order again, because we only had 3 rounds, but time was up. We were urged to leave and as we stood up they pushed us aside to prepare the table for the next guests. Shame

We have been coming to this restaurant for years, the food is delicious and we have always had good service over the years. Now sat at the Japanese section for the first time and it was really tasty. Because you can fill out a form here for the food per round, instead of via your telephone or a tablet, the contact remains pleasant and you can continue with your conversations. 10/10 service and food

Nice place to eat with groups. It is a sushi/all you can eat type version. If you don't like sushi, there are many other items on the menu and you can do well here. While in most restaurants you work with tablets, here you work with pen and paper. Nothing wrong with that.

Despite the beautiful design of the restaurant, things started to go wrong with the orders. Of the ten dishes we ordered in the first round, we only received three. After asking several times, the missing dishes were finally brought, but in the meantime we received dishes several times that did not even belong to our order. This happened several times, requiring us to constantly check our order. We did not even receive two of the dishes ordered in the first round, despite repeated requests. The quality of the food was also substandard. The grilled tuna was overcooked and covered in a thick layer of sweet sauce, the pickled cucumbers were way too sour and the stir-fried vegetables were made with canned vegetables. Even the spicy tuna sushi was anything but spicy. The worst was the third round. After waiting twenty minutes there was still no sign of our food. The food was already ready at the table next to us and they looked at us in surprise. Eventually they spoke to us and that's how we found out where our food was. We and the other guests spoke to the staff, the food had to be remade and it came our way quickly. The service left more and more to be desired. The staff seemed overwhelmed and responded less and less kindly to our comments. For the poor quality of the food, the poor service and the fact that we had to constantly chase our orders, we thought the price of €39 per person (excluding drinks) was far too high. For €94, we expected a much better evening. Based on this experience, I unfortunately cannot recommend China Palace Zwolle. The all-you-can-eat concept is completely destroyed by the poor service and mediocre quality of the food.

Had dinner here with the entire family in honor of my grandfather's birthday. The staff was incredibly friendly and fast. We had a surprise menu "chef's choice" rice table. We got many different dishes, each dish equally tasty and certainly sufficient (also for the men). Allergies were taken into account. The atmosphere was pleasant, with humor and even a gift with singing for the birthday boy or girl. All in all, we really enjoyed it and I would definitely recommend this restaurant. I certainly cannot agree with the negative reviews.

Well, we've been coming here for the sushi for years. And we will keep coming back because it is always delicious!

My expectations were already very low, but it was late and we didn't feel like cooking. My girlfriend had never had Dutch Chinese before and despite my warning she still wanted to try it. First of all: Dutch Chinese is not Chinese. I've been to HK several times and have also lived in California where they have REAL Chinese food, but that's besides the point. For 50 euros we got a duck dish (falsely described as Beijing duck, it's just roasted duck), Singapore Noodles, and Tjap Tjoy with chicken fillet. And we had to pay 30 cents for packaging while that measure has been lifted. So a pure money grab. 1. Singapore Noodles. I've had this many times in Hong Kong (where the dish originated) and San Francisco. This had nothing to do with Singapore noodles. Firstly, the wrong noodles. Secondly, it was overcooked, so it was chopped into 4 centimeter pieces. Thirdly, it still had cracking flavor. Normally some light and dark soy sauce is used and some salt etc and curry powder is mixed in it. Here they had just sprinkled some curry powder on top which was dirty and no salt had been added at all. The cook should go to You Tube to see how it's done. There were also 2 shrimps and some pieces of meat, if it was 1 ounce, it was a lot. And that for 18 euros? Are you okay? I ate one hectare and threw the rest away. Our dog didn't even like it. I don't think even pigs eat it. 2. Duck. As mentioned, it was not Peking duck, but regular roasted duck. Contained some dried shitakes and that was about it. Full of a very watery sauce with no taste. So the sauce was water, with a lot of cornstarch maybe a little ginger and that was it, MSG of course. Was 22 euros. I can buy a whole duck breast for 5 euros and this one had maybe half in it. So not good. 3. Tjap Tjoy with chicken. According to my wife, who is Thai and therefore knows something about food, it was very tasteless. Simply overcooked vegetables mixed with cornstarch. chicken broth and without flavourings. Contains a few pieces of chicken. This is okay for 18 euros. Liter of water; 1/2 chicken fillet, some vegetables and 200 grams of cornstarch and MSG of course. I warned my girlfriend, but still. Would have been better off going to Bai Yok, also not authentic but at least edible. My advice: Don't go to this place unless you are a fan of self-flagellation. They also have "sushi" which is Chinese sushi and just like Chinese Indian dishes I wouldn't put it in my mouth. In the whole of the Netherlands there are maybe 3 real sushi places, the rest is junk, run by Chinese people who know nothing about sushi. I really wish Chinese people would start making real Chinese food. Real, authentic Chinese food is the tastiest there is.

We have eaten and picked up at this Chinese restaurant before. Always been satisfied. Ordered the monthly menu today but unfortunately we found it quite disappointing this time. All dishes were very bland in taste, almost watery. New/different chef? We called but the complaint was heard and that was that. No more food from China Palace for us. Too bad, missed opportunity as far as I'm concerned.

Ordered food this afternoon, my husband picked it up. When unpacking at home, it appears that two dishes are missing, including a vegetarian one. Turns out the staff didn't properly communicate it to the kitchen. But my husband gets the blame, he should have checked it. What is annoying is that you are sitting at the table with your guests and you have nothing for the vegetarians, too far to just get something. But it goes too far for me to be blamed for not checking the order. because we didn't pay for the dishes we didn't order, no compensation whatsoever, okay so be it. The food we did have was very tasty, but the handling of this error was very poor.

I recently started working at a healthcare facility in the area and tried out takeaway from work. A one-off for me. Tjap tjoy and satay sauce were tasteless and the meat of the satay was dry and the babi pangang was burnt and greasy. Strange that the reviews say that you can still season it yourself. You're not going to pick up for that, are you? It just has to be nice to come back to it

When we lived in Zwolle-Zuid about 20 years ago, we picked up at China Palace. We didn't like it, and since then we always get the Chinese meal a few doors down. We recently tried it again at China Palace and picked up a combination menu for two people. We regret that. The satay sauce with the chicken, the sauce of the foe yong hai and the sauce of the babi pangang were stiff with (probably) a binding agent. We're not used to that, and it wasn't tasty. We will have to get our Chinese meal elsewhere for the next 20 years. Perhaps the restaurant can indicate in a response which ingredient in particular causes the satay sauce to stick like a lump in the cup, and also the sauces are not really sauces. We were kindly helped when ordering at the counter.

Mihoen with little filling. Chicken satay burnt. Satay sauce bland in taste. Babi ketjap had little ketjap taste. The whole level of taste. Also more expensive than other Chinese takeaway in Zwolle. 1st and also the last time.

Ate here last weekend with 2 people. Although the food was really good, unfortunately we won't be back. The young people who served the food were very good and friendly, but the older people who had to take care of the orders did not have everything in order. Tried to order drinks twice and they didn't arrive or they arrived very slowly, and the card that you have to hand in to order your next round of dishes took a very long time to come back (more than 20 minutes) and in round 3 we didn't get any food at all anymore, the card was no longer returned and the service was nowhere to be seen. After waiting 40 minutes, we went to pay, and when we explained that we had not received round 3 and were sorry about that, the only response was "oh okay" and then the PIN machine was put under our noses. Too bad because the food was really tasty!

It has been a long time since I visited this restaurant. Now Had sushi on the top floor with the all-you-can-eat concept. Very extensive menu. You receive an order list, choose 5 dishes and a friendly lady comes to collect this list. Shortly afterwards the dishes are brought. After this you can order 5 more dishes, etc., etc. Excellent quality and a very varied selection. It is worth eating here.

Fantastic chefs because the food you order is very good, friendly staff, restaurant and toilets are clean. We are there regularly.

Tasty, cozy and friendly service

On Christmas Day with a number of people and made a reservation. Well, so busy. Service at our table was ok. The food as expected. Waiting times were on the long side, but you have to take that into account on public holidays. One of the servers at another table knocked a tray of beer over the coat of one of us. Without any response or apology she hung on. An apology really would have been appropriate. Attention to the customer is not just about taking orders, but above all about providing an experience.

Nice large restaurant, upstairs Japanese food is especially recommended. Have done Chinese once downstairs, but have been upstairs many times. It is delivered in rounds. You can sit there in an attractive atmosphere and the staff is friendly and hard-working. We lacked nothing.
