LUCA’s by Julia’s in Wijk 13 Assendorp

A couple of days ago, we ordered coffee and tea with fresh mint. The coffee was fine, and the tea looked good, and they didn't skimp on the mint, BUT!!! The mint was dirty; no one had washed it at all. There was dirt and a dead insect floating in the tea. We asked them to make new tea, and they did, but no one even apologized, as if everything was fine on their end. We also had to ask them to wash the mint for the new tea. It's a pity, but I didn't think to take a photo of the tea itself.

I received a small box but paid for a medium portion. When I asked for a refund for the €2 difference, the women very kindly explained that they'd put the medium portion of pasta in a small box because they'd run out of medium ones. There wasn't enough room for the toppings, let alone any leftovers to mix in without getting covered in it. So, no luck. €12 poorer and two stains on my pants richer.

First, it took a while for our order to be taken, but that wasn't a problem, as it was busy. But then, after placing our order, the employee decided to spend five minutes on the phone while she was working on it. This caused us to miss our train. It turned out our sandwich wasn't even fully filled because the other employee didn't know what to put on it. The sandwich itself was tasty, but the toppings weren't right. Too much oil, not enough ham. Overall, work on your customer service, especially if you work at a station.

On September 2, 2025, someone else gave me a container of burnt milk, yuck. Give those people some proper training! We're paying a fortune for it. I gave it a second chance, saw the same gentleman standing there, so I was already a bit skeptical. He's either not even trying or just can't do it, big bubbles in the milk, and he pours it. He also made the milk way too hot. Time to train or replace your staff! Such a shame, you might as well get something from a vending machine. Last time for me. Previous review: Got a cappuccino today, but it got more expensive again. But this time it tasted awful, and once you're on the train, you can't go back. It started with the awful milk foam, big bubbles, a real shame. There was barely any espresso in it. Not used to Luca's or Julia's or whatever it is. A new man made the cappuccino this time. Maybe they need more training.

As always tasty, but a bit clumsy to eat at the beginning because it is not mixed. First time ordered since the plastic surcharge; I thought I would pay 7.70 but it ended up being 8.05. I think it is very stupid when a business participates in savings promotions/QR codes and the customer forgets to ask if they are participating! Another online stamp missed in the on-the-go app :( (at the kiosk they charge the high price for coffee and you get a discount if you take your cup with you, I think that's a better concept)

The staff was very friendly, but the caramel latte macchiato contained far too much milk. The coffee flavor was lacking. More milk than coffee.

Good pasta, friendly staff. A bit expensive for what you get, though.

After already missing the first train because of the waiting time (15 min) they forgot my order. Paid for extra toppings but only received my money back for a normal one. How hard can it be to take an order and hang a receipt? They also asked the two people in front of me what their order was.. so my guess is that serving five people at the same time is too much to ask. Fortunate.

Update 2024: the new Luca's concept with pizzas and oven dishes has been thrown overboard. The store has been converted back to normal Julia's

Was quiet, ordered a regular latte with oat but was handed cup not even filled to the top and whole milk. Weak espresso taste.

Quite a nice place for a quick coffee and a bite in the station area. The pasta is prepared fresh, and the sauces used are very good. Will be back!

Gawd. A mockery of Italian cuisine. Ordered Penne Arrabbiata but it was more of a weird vegetarian Bolognese with sun-dried tomato. There was onion in my Arrabbiata and no hint of garlic or basil flavor in sight. I also added a can of vegetable soup or something for flavor, because that's what it tasted like most. Regret the €12. That was no Arrabbiata!

I find it really strange when I order pasta with chicken and pesto and the chicken is just plain cold. Normally it is not like that, but the fact that the employee tells you that this is how it is because it is a topping... yes, strange. And if it was busy I would understand but I was the only person there

Nothing really to write home about. Reasonable at best. Price-quality ratio completely out of balance. Pay more than 8 euros for the bowl of pasta below. The pasta goes from a ziplock bag into a steamer? This is scooped into this container 2 to 3 minutes later. Then a large drawer opens with all kinds of containers and the other ingredients that go with your pasta are literally thrown in. These ingredients are cold on the warm pasta. Even the cheese flakes don't have the chance to melt completely. The box is not even completely filled yet. They won't see me here again.

I've known Julia's at Zwolle for many years. Prices have become much higher but food is still amazing.

Last week there was no coffee milk. Now there was no sugar. First have to walk to ah-to-go to get sugar.

Friendly employees, but the coffee is not very tasty, a bit sour. Perhaps the coffee machine is not properly adjusted or is it not being handled properly? The cannelonis are always very tasty and so are the sandwiches.

A super awesome shop, with phone chargers, power sockets, spinning chairs, and lots of options like pizza, calzone and the service was the sweetest gentlest guy! They even sell some cool interesting stuff!

Eerder altijd super lekkere pastas maar er zit amper saus op heel droog!

de bediening was lief maar de pizza niet te vreten, het smaakte naar plastic. Geen goeie prijs/qualiteit verhouding. Jammer zag er erg leuk uit

Mooi ingericht en erg vriendelijk personeel. Pizza was niet heel spannend maar prima prijs/kwaliteit verhouding.

Werknemers zijn super vriendelijk! Pizza's zijn niet lekker, ze zijn niet vies maar voor de prijs mag er meer op en mag er betere saus en deeg gebruikt worden. Ik mis de pasta, de pasta was geweldig en uniek en iets wat ik wekelijks haalde. Jammer dat het vervangen is met nog een generieke pizza plek. +1 ster vanwege de werknemers, zeer vriendelijk en gezellig.

Prima pizza zo op het station Den Bosch en snel klaar!

Recent hier de lasagne maar weer gegeten aangezien de pasta's er niet meer geserveerd worden. Matig eten is de juiste omschrijving van het huidige eten. Ik mis de pasta's, is mijn conclusie. Daarmee kom ik hier toch veel minder graag!

Te dure pizza’s voor de kleine hoeveelheid die je krijgt. Op de pizza zat niet eens tomatensaus… en ook geen rucola zoals erbij staat.

Jammer dat er geen pasta meer is. Ik vind 7 euro voor een halve slecht belegde pizza echt te veel en het vult niet. Helaas weinig alternatieven.

Mensen waren aardig maar had geen rucola of wat dan ook op mijn pizza alleen maar 4 verbrande plakjes salami

Personeel is super vriendelijk, haalde een Pizza Prosciutto Provola, een halve. De pizza was voor minder dan 25 % bedekt de rest was droge deeg.. het was niet vies het was lekker maar je verwacht dat het voor de prijzen op zn minst goed bedekt is met kaas, ham etc. Klacht ingediend op verzoek van het personeel. Dit was hoe zij het moesten maken. Eerste keer lucas en waarschijnlijk de laatste. Tevens ook een klacht ingediend. Twee sterren voor het personeel anders was het er 1 geweest.

Heerlijke spekreepjes met spaghettisliertjes gehad. Ik zou iedereen aanraden om een tussenstop in Zwolle te nemen. Heeeeuuurlijk genoten. Dank je wel Daniëlle<3

Heerlijke pizza's. Alleen jammer dat de pasta's van de Julia's hierdoor zijn verdwenen. Verder snel en vers bereid.

Eten is wel lekker, maar het bakje zit niet eens vol. €9 te betalen om vervolgens honger te hebben is oplichting

I definitely prever this kind of " fast food" but it is very overpriced and the portions are small compared to the price and taste rather average ( for my taste not enough seasoning but that is different for everyone) the waiting time however is great and the people there were very friendly and fluent in english! :)

Jammie ! Snel, vriendelijk, behulpzaam (drempel bij de ingang, of ik hulp nodig was werd er gevraagd vóór ik het zelf ging proberen met mijn rolstoel binnen te komen), goede porties, ludiek verpakt. Hele lekkere pasta, alleen wel een beetje duur. Vriendelijk personeel en snel klaar voor mensen die moeten doorreisen. Zeker proberen!

Lekker eten handig voor in de trein

Beste koffie en broodjes van station Zwolle! Vriendelijk personeel, altijd in voor een praatje. Helpt je herinneren als je nog een Sanifair-bon in je portemonnee hebt, toch weer 50 cent korting. Het is namelijk niet de goedkoopste zaak.
