As a foreigners, the food is good and make me missed the chinese food

Haven't been here in years. Picked up a set menu. Good portions and delicious food, very tasty. Friendly service. Surprising, we'll be back again.

I stopped by and politely asked if I could use the toilet. I even offered to buy something right away. The staff still refused and then denied me entry to the restaurant altogether. No courtesy. No basic decency.

Food was good and delicious but portion little bit not enough compared with other restaurants in same category, and fried rice didn't have garlic. Not bad I like the food, fast served and quality of ingredients was fresh and good.

We were here for late lunch around 16:00. Unpleasent smell of fuel paste (from not used all you can eat buffet) Food was ok, good starters, Peking duck didn’t come with any sauce. Summary, we would order food for take away but not sit in this restaurant anymore

Delicious food. We often get takeout. The spring rolls are excellent!

They were happy to serve us even though we had three small children with us. The portions were large and it felt like a good deal. They even had a Japanese menu. I especially recommend the shrimp fried rice and the gyoza.

The foeyong hai that I am used to from another takeaway that I like to go to – that has more egg in it. The version that I got from them yesterday actually had too much chicken in it and not enough omelette. It seemed like they didn’t have enough egg left but they did have enough chicken in stock. I also thought that it didn’t have much flavor. And their sambal is actually a bit salty. I prefer a good pepper with it.

I ordered a chicken curry yesterday and I said I don't want mushrooms and pepper on my food what do I get mushrooms and pepper on my food I called the restaurant and said do you read because I don't want mushrooms and pepper on my food because I can't handle it he said I can make new ones for you I said then I have to wait another half hour he said sorry it's a bit busy I said that doesn't matter if you're busy you just have to read what it says I've been working in a supermarket for 20 years but I've never experienced this with customers so my advice is to read better and not just blame it it's busy it's not possible because we almost lost 50 euros I don't have 50 cents or anything I'm going for that Lopiig don't order again you just have to do your job well even if it's busy

A lot is written in reviews about operation. Now I can tell you that we received very good and friendly help, so much praise. Food was good and the service was great, no more whining.

We have been coming here for babi pangang and pork belly for years, the only Chinese in Amstelveen where we get it. Now I got spring rolls and fried banana for the first time and it was disappointing! Spring rolls fried dark without letting them drain, thrown into the bag full of greasy rubbish, the whole bag was filthy. 90% was filled with only bean sprouts! see photo. While we ordered chicken spring roll and the chicken was really hard to find, never again. Fried banana was thrown all the way to the bottom of the bag and was limp while it needs to air so it stays crispy. Unfortunately 40€ disappointment

Ordered via Thuisbezorgd, very fast and friendly delivery. Food was delicious, nice and hot and large portions. Recommended!

Ordered the “canton koe loe kai” and the “tausie kai”. But there was almost no chicken to be seen, it's as if the chickens had run away. Paid for some pieces of vegetables in a sauce, what a shame!

When I picked up my food, there were mouse bites in my prawn crackers with hair in them. My husband and I threw up all our food in disgust. And I'm now afraid that I'll get food poisoning while I'm pregnant... This is unacceptable! Got my money back and they didn't even defend me. Everyone please take care!! We wanted to try a "new" Chinese restaurant and were very pleasantly surprised Ho-Fa, this will be our new to-go. 1 small thing, the vegetarian nasi is too simple in terms of taste, that could be looked at (and addressed). For the rest great.

The service, which used to be good, has deteriorated considerably. No one tries to understand you and the guests are spoken to very rudely and with irritation. The food has also deteriorated considerably. I will never come there again!!!!

We stopped by for dinner. We ordered three dishes. The dish is chicken in sweet and sour sauce, where there is almost no chicken, there is pineapple and a lot of pepper. The duck was tasty, with "tired cabbage". The beef was very sweet, like jam. The wine has no name, just red, it is strong alcohol, not wine. The toilets are dirty. The service is good, the waiter was very friendly. We know about real Chinese food, this is not it! We live nearby, but won't be back.

What a disappointment. Made it to So Ya Fang and Tjaptjoi HoFa at 4:00 PM. Both the meat of the So Ya Fang and the crispy chicken of the tjaptjoi were unbearable. Tough, very dry and therefore unedible! I doubt it was fresh. Bah!

I ate spicy meat udon, meatless yaki udon, and meatless yakisoba. It's helpful to have a Japanese menu. I went there for lunch on Friday, and even 6 people with children enjoyed the meal without any problems. I think all of them will suit Japanese tastes. I especially liked the yakisoba because it tasted like a Chinese restaurant. I was surprised that the meat udon had quite sweet and spicy meat in it. It looked like they had quite a bit of alcohol in stock, so it looked like it would be fun to come at night. I want to come again.

Kom hier echt al vele jaren, maar vind het erg achteruit gaan. Had de maaltijd met ossehaas en nasi. Deze maaltijd was zo verschrikkelijk zout, dat ik het haast niet weg kreeg. Alsof de zoutpot per ongeluk open was gegaan boven de maaltijd. Heb ook de helft maar opgegeten. Dit was niet de eerste keer dat het eten tegen viel. Ik sla in het vervolg over

A large Chinese-Indian restaurant. Sunday evening buffet but also a la carte. Food is fine, but a lot of it Service is more than excellent It could be a bit busier!!

Food was always good here. Unfortunately not last week. Peking duck was dry and tasteless, service was poor. My girlfriend's food was also disappointing. We still wanted to order an ice cream, but had to wait a very long time until someone came to take our order, even though it was certainly not busy. Then we just went home. They will be closed for the next two weeks due to... holidays. Hope they equip well and improve the quality. I won't be eating there again for a while. Shame. Another addition. The food was mediocre, the service very mediocre. At checkout we were asked what amount, on top of the bill, we wanted to pay. So they simply asked for a tip. I was very surprised, especially after our negative experience.

Ho Fa has a good menu with lots of choice, decent prices and friendly staff.

The last time at Hofa was disappointing; instead of beef I got mainly??? but with the same herbs, as if I wouldn't notice. For a 'doggy bag' they also charge extra money for 'service costs', which is for food that has already been paid for.

Most unfriendly and racist staff we have ever seen in Netherlands… would not recommend it. All the customers should be treated equally.. highly unprofessional 😠

A bit of an old-fashioned Chinese restaurant, good food, fast service.

Tried Ho Fa delivery for the first time tonite. I had Koe Loe Yok Hong Style and Pisang Goreng.Delivery was on time and food temp was good. Portions were generous ,feeds easyly 2 persons. Price value ratio is good.The chicken dish was tasty but too many carrots to my liking. Adding sugar peas would have been nice. The batter for the Pisang goreng was tasteless and the banana used much too big ! Menu.lacks variety of quality fish dishes to choose from.Will certainly try HoFa again for other dishes.

We hadden het lopend buffet, eten niet warm en weinig keus. Personeel niet echt gastvrij. Bij het afrekenen stond ze duidelijk op een fooi te wachten want ze vroeg hoeveel ik wilde pinnen terwijl ze de rekening voor haar neus had! Eens maar nooit weer!

We zijn weer eens bij een ouderwetse Chinees geweest. Dat viel erg tegen. Het eten was vet, flauw en totaal niet verrassend. We kozen voor een Rijsttafel Indisch. Ik kon niet goed ontdekken wat er Indisch aan was. Er was gestoofd rundvlees dat mogelijk in de verte op rendang moest lijken, de pisang goreng was te groot en zonder satesaus, de babi bangang was niet lekker knapperig, de kipsaté was niet lekker...kortom het was gewoon ruk.

Fine Chin. Ind. Spec. Rest. I think Ho Fa is a real family business. You often see the parents behind the counter and on weekends you often see the children as well. The quality is good and the taste familiar, like a typical Dutch Chin. Ind. Spec. Rest. befits.

Just ordered (via Thuisbezorgd) and this was a delight. Quick delivery (30 min on a Saturday), great fresh, not too fatty, tasty Chinese that doesn’t give u the instant regrets afterwards. Sauces served separately to maintain the structure of the dishes, good portions just a general succes.

Picked up chicken fillet with Kong Pao sauce with nasi from Ho-Fa tonight. Food was -very- delicious! Friendly service, fast and of very good quality!

Had a nice meal from the monthly menu, served with mini spring roll with parsley and edible flowers, followed by soup, I was allowed to exchange the chicken soup for tomato soup. Then we ate a delicious meal from a beautifully prepared dish with crispy bacon, a bird's nest with delicious fried meat and vegetables with fried meat. With noodles and nasi separately in a sealable bowl. Finally: coffee with a chocolate. This menu was more than enough for the two of us. Well worth eating here, delicious food and friendly staff.
