Chinese Specialiteiten Restaurant Ming's Garden in Wijk 00

No idea why everyone is so negative in these reviews, we’ve been going here for years and the food is consistently delicious.

Food wasn't ready at the stated time, a request for a minor adjustment wasn't honored, and there was no free can of soda. The staff didn't speak a word of Dutch, so explaining it wasn't an option. Watery, tasteless junk. Noodles reheated in the microwave. Soggy, sticky, and tasteless.

Unfortunately very dry rice and the meat of the babi pangang also dried out. After the payment was made the man came to say that an extra 2 euros had to be paid for the tjauw ming because it was in the computer and not on the menu. Very strange way of doing things. It was very quiet in the shop, after we had received our order and walked out the door, the lights in the shop immediately went out. Not translatable.

Since I can only give one star, I'll give it one: What a terrible place. I went there for dinner last month. I was there for an hour, and apart from one takeout customer, I was the only one there. The welcome was cool, but a waiter who wasn't interested at all sneezed and coughed constantly. He stared at me uncomfortably the whole time. It was dusty and unfriendly... The food was dry and completely unpleasant, no flavor at all... I'll never go there again. I understand why no one ever comes there and why the place is empty...

Just as disgusting as the restaurant's exterior suggests. When the restaurant was empty and there was no one to order takeout on a Sunday evening at 6:00 PM, I should have turned back. Watery satay, tough fou yong hai, and rancid babi panggang. The monthly menu is probably called that because they've cooked a whole month in advance. The rice was definitely not freshly made. I hope I didn't get food poisoning. The next few hours will decide...

Truly, I have never had such bad Chinese food! €60 just thrown in the trash, noodles, sticky rice, undercooked and the rest unedible

Just got food from this Chinese. Babi pangang with bami and Nassi and chicken satay. Too disgusting to eat. The bami was sour and immediately thrown in the green bin. The nasi was tasteless and the satay sauce was a kind of thin brown juice. Really too horrible for words. Never before had such disgusting food. I'm also afraid of a stomach ache because we took a few bites.

Strange experience, it seemed like the tent was closed, but it turned out to be open for pickup. The door was unlocked and it was dark inside, but suddenly a Chinese gentleman emerged from the kitchen. I was the only customer (while it was around 6:15 PM on a weekday evening). Received mediocre food (well heated). Communication with the only employee (owner?) was extremely difficult. He barely understood (anything?) what I said, but after I pointed to what I wanted to order on the menu, it worked. After we ate the food at home, I feared food poisoning because the shrimp tasted strange (stale). Luckily the food poisoning didn't happen, but I don't think I'll ever go back there...

Ordered monthly menu. Only the babi pangang was tasty, all other dishes, fu yong hay, noodles, nasi but especially the satay were substandard. The satay chicken had a bland taste and the satay sauce was weak, almost soup. I ordered extra prawn crackers, 4(!) euros for a small bag of prawn crackers with a few pieces in it. The last time I got Chinese here, the quality dropped dramatically.

Fantastic food and a beautiful tent. The employees are friendly and helpful, even though communication can sometimes be a little more complicated than at a Dutch tent.

Heerlijk gegeten bij Ming's Garden in Ouderkerk aan de Amstel.

Vanavond tevreden eten gehaald. I.t.t rond gefluisterde meningen na kort wachten vers bereide en goed smakende gerechten meegenomen.

Ik was vrij vroeg. Kreeg erg snel eten. Was niet vers en erg vet. Dag later last van mijn maag. Ik sla over de volgende keer.

Beste loempia´s die ik ken, kan die ter plaatse eten maar ook om mee te nemen, als ze op zijn hoef je maar 10 minuutjes te wachten en maken ze ter plaatse nieuwe verse voor je,eten in het restaurant is ook net ietsje beter dan de gemiddelde chinees die wij kennen

De zogenaamde nasi was smakeloos. De acht loempia’s waren 90% deeg en net zo groot als twee korte sigaretten. De babi pangang was mals maar smakeloos. We aten ook iets met ei dat ook naar niets smaakte. Niet te geloven. Ik heb nog nooit zoiets beleefd.

Ik zag wat recensies en ben daar een paar maanden geleden gaan eten. De babi pangang was acceptabel maar niet geweldig, Ik heb de eigenaar erop aangesproken en die zij mij dat alles voor hun nieuw was en dat ze om zoek zijn naar de juiste "smaak". Om die te checken met ik vorige maand en vorige week daar weer gaan eten, steeds het zelfde gerecht. Ik moet zeggen ik ben onder de indruk. De smaak is pittig maar niet heet. Het vlees was knapperig geroosterd. Volgens mij precies hoe een babi xxxx moet smaken. Je hebt als klant duidelijk een positieve invloed!

Food was fine, service was... difficult. Language barrier makes it hard to understand employees.

Goed restaurant waar je voor een schappelijke prijs kunt eten. Ken het vooral van de pelgrimstocht vanuit Utrecht naar Amsterdam in het kader van de Stille Omgang die ik inmiddels al meerdere jaren organiseer met een groep. Zij zijn hier uiterst behulpzaam.

Sinds de nieuwe eigenaren is het eten niet zo best maar het wordt wel weer beter. Gelukkig.

We hebben net net vier personen bij de Chinees gegeten. Bediening uiterst vriendelijk en accuraat. Eten was heerlijk!!
