Always super tasty sandwiches and nice people

It's because I HAVE to give a star, but it doesn't deserve one! Filthy place AND rude staff! When you ask for gloves, you're simply told "no, we don't, and we're out of them." This is what the gentleman says, while the glove box is right behind him. THEY'RE LYING! People in the hospitality industry should be mortified that in these times (especially after everything that's happened with corona) you have to beg for a little hygiene. Shame on you for REFUSING a customer because they ask to work with gloves. This filthy, unsanitary place will never see me or my money again. They ALL need to take a course in customer service and social hygiene again! SHAME ON YOU!

This used to be one of the best, but these days you pay a premium (€6.50) for a very mediocre (almost bad) sandwich. For that price, it should be excellent. It's a shame to see that. The staff is friendly, but that's not what we're here for.

A very unfriendly and disinterested young man works there. When dealing with people, a certain degree of (customer) friendliness is expected. Unfortunately, that's not the case, and judging by previous reviews, not much has changed. No smile, no hello or goodbye. He also had no patience with customers with requests. Apparently, the man didn't want to deal with it. It's not only a bad thing for him, but also for the business. The sandwiches are too small for the price. They're well-filled, but it could be on a slightly larger roll, like at Oriental. The only positive is that the sandwich itself (not a pistolet) and the cod were tasty.

Expensive and small portions, food is old and dry. Poor hygiene.

Ordered a moksi meti sandwich. Moksi meti is a mix of pork belly and char siu, but it only had tasteless char siu on it.

Come almost every week after my groceries to get a sandwich at tokoman. I always ask for extra pepper with my sandwiches, today she really used spicy pepper with my dynamite and terie sandwich. Haven't eaten such a spicy meal in a long time. Sandwiches are always delicious and well filled. Thanks!!!

Best sandwich shop in Amsterdam, people complain unfairly about the price but they don't look at how richly filled the sandwiches are. You really get a lot and it's all delicious. Beef sandwich is my favorite.

You won't find better sandwiches in the area

Previously, the sandwiches were highly recommended, but after the last few visits I changed my mind. I was not a fan of the other snacks. We have now experienced 3 times that the orders go wrong. Where there should be no pepper, is full of pepper. Trie was more oil than fish and the taste is deteriorating. Recently also got dawet and paid €4 for a small bottle. So the prices are going up, but as far as I'm concerned the quality is going down. Too bad because this really was my favorite shop.

Good food. Good sandwiches too. I like coming here. 👍

I have often bought delicious sandwiches here, but unfortunately I give a 1 for service because 1 out of 3 times my sandwiches are wrong... or with acid while I indicate no pepper and no acid, I don't like it with acid so I can throw those sandwiches away, or drive back and exchange them again, parking costs, driving back and forth takes me more than half an hour, unfortunately.

Bakabana's extremely disappointing, do not buy! €4.5 each.. fried banana is covered with a jelly-like substance and then a very thick dough/flour crust. Peanut sauce as watery as anything... shame. First and last time for me.

Shorter lady with light hair is far from customer friendly, incredibly grumpy. The stingiest moksi sandwich I've ever had, 3 very greasy pieces of babi pangang and barely any fashong. It was almost just a wet roll of pepper and sour. It's a real shame, because they aren't cheap either. You notice that quality comes at the expense of crowds. My last time at Tokoman.

Regular customer for years! Super friendly owner (gray hair according to my husband and his sister/wife) Delicious sandwiches, snacks and meals that you can eat for 2 days. As a vegetarian, there is also a wide choice, which is special and above all tasty! Keep it up Tokoman 🥰

Nice tasty sandwiches but overpriced (6 euro!!??!) for the quantity you get, that's a bit unfortunate. Haven't tried the meals so don't know if those are worth the money.

Na het lezen van veel redelijk negatieve recensies ben ik, omdat ik om de hoek woon en redelijk vaste klant bij de buren Deli ben, toch vandaag broodjes pom en bakkeljauw wezen halen om te kijken of het echt allemaal zo slecht is.. Thuis opgewarmd. Best redelijk prijzig voor de hoeveelheid, maar moet eerlijk bekennen dat het broodje pom overheerlijk was, dus het geld zeker waard. Daarna mijn broodje bakkeljauw geproefd en eerlijk gezegd was die ook heel goed te eten. De opmerking die ik hier wil maken is dat ik dondersgoed weet dat het heel lastig is om alle graatjes uit de bakkeljauw te halen en dat ik hier in een goed belegd broodje bakkeljauw slechts 2 hele kleine stukjes graat tegen ben gekomen. Wel was de bakkeljauw iets zouter dan wat ik prefereer, maar dat verscilt nu eenmaal per winkel.

They cancelled our order, after more than 30min of waiting, without giving us a reason. This was also an order for 5 different person. If it wasn't possible for them to proceed with the order, they should have informed us earlier.

Super vriendelijke mijnheer. Nadat wij ons heerlijke broodje hete kip op hadden, besloten wij ook om nog wat mee naar huis te nemen. Wij komen hier zeker terug. Lekker gegeten en erg vriendelijke geholpen.

Voor de zoveelste keer verkeerde broodjes geleverd. Niet echt professioneel dit. Als ik de andere reviews lees dan snap ik het ook.
