Chipsy King in Grachtengordel-Zuid

If you are in Amsterdam and looking for a snack and a delicious meal, this is a good option. The location of this place, whose potatoes and sauces taste very delicious, is also an advantage that it is in the center of Amsterdam. I can say that we are generally satisfied with this business, where the employees are also caring.

The staff was extremely rude and dismissive to a customer in front of us. “Told them to go to china if they wanted to get a cheaper holiday” which was unacceptable.

The guy who prepared the kebab for us also managed to ask us if we hadn't already eaten enough spaghetti that day, as well as not asking us what sauces we would like with the french fries and the kebab he decided that it would be chicken for both of us (also for that he didn't ask us anything). There are many places in Amsterdam to eat well where you can find nice people who work with pleasure and who are aware that the Italian language is also spoken in Switzerland, or even better that in 2025 they have understood that in Europe there should be no room for racism, but this place is evidently not one of those! I put one star because there is no 0, be aware while ordering i asked for a Medium portion 5.5€ , the guy behind the counter charged me for 9€ for the same portion. Very unfriendly staff who doesn't listen carrefully and shitty Fries.

Nice fries but terrible service. Me and my friend were feeling like getting some fries but were not very hungry. So we both wanted a small portion. When my friend ordered his, the guy behind the counter turned it into a medium portion, costing nearly double the price, I tried to help my friend but the man behind the counter wasn't listening. When I told him I wanted a small portion myself, he said it was a kids portion, and when I said no, it says small portion on the menu, he started asking if I didn't have enough money for a bigger portion. This was extremely offensive as I just wanted a small portion as I wasn't hungry. The guy kept on being disrespectful and joking about the small portion while making the fries for us. In the end my friend couldn't even finish his fries because it was too much for him. Really just a bad experience, will never return here.

While everyone knows this isn't necessarily the "Instagram Spot," don't be discouraged to stop here. I recommend trying multiple places for frites and finding your favorite. We got the traditional ketchup and mayo combo and we were not disappointed!

Double check your receipt!!! Ordered a small fries, they booked a medium. Got 2 euros back but still A very vague price list... Weird style of interacting. Never again..

I was here in May it was late not that busy I always pays this place a visit. Donner box was unbelievable one of the best I ever had. I will be back in October for another one get on the boys.

No customer service at all in this place, we were being chased out even after ordering food.

We got fries and döner with my colleague. After 30 minutes we both got sick. The next day I went by to report it. They said it was due to the döner or the sauce, but they did not come up with a solution.

The second floor is a bit weird

Left the restaurant without ordering when I saw the waiter kicking an open box of fries over the dirty floor. If you enjoy that, have fun, but I'm not eating that.

The best man allowed us to use a socket to charge our smartphone. A friend told us that this was best done with the Mac, but no Mac within a kilometer of Amsterdam central station was able to do this. In the Chipsy King, yes. The food was also good, and our ordered cold water was also exchanged without difficulty for a water bottle that was not in the refrigerator. All in all a nice and friendly service.

I went over with my friends and actually wanted to go somewhere else but one of my friends wanted big fries from here so we went in and the shop is actually great. I recommend the shop if you're looking for something to eat <3

Can only really speak to the fries. Were not good and the sauces we got, (cheese fry and a curry fry) were awful. We threw them away after a few bites 😭😭 fast service though

Came to eat and use restrooms. Rude staff that couldn't care less about the customers just want to order and be done with it. The restrooms were locked with a 0.5€ coin slot and even after paying the restrooms looked like a junkie hotspot. Very dirty and unhigenic toilets that you have to pay to use. The food was OK, but very expensive. 3€ for one small ayran pure robbery.

I'm going to raise the ratings a little because we personally ate there and the staff was very friendly (maybe change of ownership?), the food was good and not as expensive as some reviews suggest, and no problem with the toilet!

We came here after a long day of exploring Amsterdam I wanted to have some chips and they delivered. They were very crispy and tasty. We got a good price for it and they were very satisfying. It's right in the city and I would recommend this to anyone who has the munchies!

I got a chicken sandwich with bacon, tomatoes, barbecue sauce and mayonnaise. I also got a side of the truffle mayonnaise, and a cheese cup. The food was delicious. Very fresh and I also got chips which were crispy and wonderful. Only thing is the cheese sauce is cold. So if you don’t like cold cheese sauce I wouldn’t order it. But I highly Recommend this place!!!

Das beste, das ich sagen kann ist: "Man konnte die Pommes essen". Mein Sohn würde dem allerdings wiedersprechen. Im Endeffekt ist es eine Pommesbude ohne Seele und Anspruch. Die Worte tun in der Seele weh, treffen es allerdings Recht gut. Ich denke nebenan hätten wir besser Pommes bekommen 🙄

Jeg fik en kedelig durum med falafel og pommes frites. Brødet var koldt og gummiagtigt. Falaflerne ikke friske. Pommes frites uden salt og dårlig smag.

Nice and fast! Just like you expect a kebab-place to be. After paying they started with the food rightaway, and gave oportiunity to decide which vegetables and sauces you wanted. Maybe a little expensive for this kind of fastfood, but that may be expected on a busy street in Amsterdam.
