I've been here a few times now. The food is truly delicious and more than enough, but the atmosphere and service unfortunately leave much to be desired. The front-of-house staff seem more occupied with their phones than with the guests, giving the impression they don't enjoy their work. This directly impacts the atmosphere in the restaurant. The ladies in the kitchen are doing a great job—that's not the problem—but the front-of-house staff could definitely do with a more professional approach. Being on your phone during work hours, and for several minutes at a time, is simply unacceptable in the hospitality industry. Hopefully, they'll address this soon, because the food deserves better.

The food was excellent. Super tasty and with the right level of „spicyness“. Quite close to what I got on the streets of Bangkok. Also the atmosphere and service was really good. I will come back for sure when I’m in Amsterdam the next time.

The best Thai food I've had in a very long time. If you arrive around 6 pm, you don't need a reservation. Lots of locals eat here too; they order their food, grab some chips, and then take it home.

Homemade and delicious dishes, generous portions, and efficient service! The dining room was a little noisy, however, as it was packed, and it was quite warm (bring a short-sleeved shirt in October). We're usually big eaters, but one dish was more than enough to satisfy our hunger. The papaya salad was particularly excellent!

The vegan pad thai was so good we had to put in another order for takeaway before we left the restaurant! Cute vibe and really good food!

The Food was delicious and service really friendly. Our dishes were delivered fast and waiting for them was made easy with some spicy chips. Would reommend ordering a original Thai Curry and sharing one order as it's totally enough to fill two stomachs. We'll definately visit again!

Best Thai food in Amsterdam, by far

An incredible meal. My friends and I felt very smug as we passed the long queue of people waiting to be seated on our pre booked table. Straight away we were feeling positive about the experience we were about to have. After a big night the previous evening we were ready to fill our bellies and go to bed. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. The recipe for a good time. The Tom Khah soup was particularly flavourful and I was the envy of the table with that. We were recommended the massaman curry which was also good but mine did not have potatoes in it. Overall the experience was wonderful and the perfect way to end a hungover day. I would note that tap water was 6€ which is very steep and Martin Lewis would certainly have something to say about that.

We had dinner there last night. The best meal we've had while visiting Amsterdam. The staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. The food was amazing.

Best food that we had on our trip to Amsterdam. They were very attentive to my seafood allergy and made items special to make sure that it didn't cover in contact with seafood. Their TomKa soup was SO good. Highly recommend this place!

Delicious food, friendly staff and fast service

We found this place in Jordaan thanks to google maps. The food waa really very delicious and the staff was very helpfull to get us sitted. They have an open kitchen and you can see the cooking. We had fish cake as appetizer and mixed phad thai and number 51 spicy beef with rice. The beef was really really spicy whic has 3 chilis in the menu, so be careful about the chili levels. Overall it is really worth it and the prices are ok when compres to Amsterdam prices. It was also very clean.

Food tasted good but i ordered duck & they gave me pork & charged for duck. 3* b/c it was good but will never return.

Extremely accommodating for gluten free and vegan meals. They paid such close attention to ensuring my meal was gluten free. Staff were lovely and the food was to die for. Would absolutely come again.

I loved my meal here so much, I sat outside and a Thai red curry with beef. The portion size was very generous and quality incredible. I so recommend for a low key dinner with good food.

The food was absolutely delicious. It was tasty and fresh. Particular highlights were the chicken pad thai, prawns pad thai, Penang beef and prawns in red curry. The service was wonderful, really relaxed and friendly.

To be honest, I haven't had Thai food this good in years. Super tasty, incredibly fresh, and very friendly staff. I would recommend making a reservation, as it gets very busy in the evenings. I'll be back for our next trip to Amsterdam, as well as for business.

Poor customer service This restaurant takes advantage of tourists and doesn't properly treat its guests. I asked for water and was given a bottle of water despite wanting tap water. I decided not to return it and just drink the bottled water. Since the bottle was so small I asked the waitress if it was a possibility to get tap water. When the bill arrived, saw that they charged for the tap water. The waiter didn't care about the misunderstanding, and refused to take it off of the bill. He argued with us for 5 minutes saying how it's written on the menu (it's written in dutch), he is not legally obligated to serve us water, that everyone in Amsterdam charges for tap water and he didn't feel the need to mention this to us despite understanding that we are tourists. In addition he told us that tap water is for people of lower economic status who cannot afford bottled water. He told us that by charging for water, including tap water, they make a living. After visiting other places, I observed that only one other restaurant we went to charged for tap water but made it clear to us beforehand. All in all this was a very disappointing way the end the night. I think he could have taken it off of the bill, but because we are tourists he didn't care to.

Very authentic, very good and fast service and the food was perfect! Extremely tasty and generous portions! I would happily recommend it to anyone!

Goregous cosy little place, felt very intimate and lively and not overcrowded as the building was quite small. We ordered dumplings and pad Thai with a Thai beer. Would recommend all of the above. Fresh, full of flavour and fast delivered.

I had dinner at Chok Dee restaurant last night, and it truly reminded me of my time in Thailand. I lived there for a year, and the flavors of the dishes brought me back to when my host family would take me to the market or cook for me at home. The food was delicious and tasted just like in Thailand,well-balanced and full of authentic flavors. I also loved the Thai milk tea, which I used to drink all the time in Thailand. On top of that, the staff was super friendly, making the experience even better. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves Thai cuisine. I will definitely come back!

Super nice restaurant run by a small team with personal, very friendly service. We were warned that it might take a little longer to prepare the food as everything is freshly cooked. We were very happy with our three dishes, all fresh, spicy and delicious. We'd love to come back :-)

First experience in a Thai restaurant.. 😊 pretty good, taste-wise but that was without taking into account the super spicy dishes 🌶️ that I had chosen (I hadn't paid attention to the little stars which indicate the degree of SPICY🔥🔥 🔥) so I digested it badly but I will try this traditional cuisine again 👍 but with fewer spices 😜

We booked for dinner, we arrived a little later and we had no problems, they were very friendly. We also realized that there weren't many people. We ordered some rolls and then a plate each, water and a Thai beer. The truth is that it seemed a bit expensive to us and we didn't really like the dishes. Maybe because we chose wrong or because the place was not the best. Unfortunately, the food seemed not to be completely fresh, perhaps because we arrived for dinner at the last minute, but I think that food always has to be fresh and not reheated. A shame, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Food was actually good, but a lot of items are overpriced, like the vegetarian options. I think you can get better prices and same quality at a lot of other Thai restaurants in Amsterdam.

Such a great little Thai food restaurant we went there on Saturday evening with 5 peoples the service was great, the foods was amazing! I’m Thai and i can taste the original curry paste. We ordered so many dishes. Massaman beef curry and red curry with duck and beef in garlic was delicious! The foods looking yummy. Price is in overall good not overpriced. And the dessert don’t forget the famous mango sticky rice. We are recommended! Good foods & Good vibes!

Disappointing Thai, there are much better ones around... The tom yam khai soup lacked depth, the spring rolls were fried too long and slightly burned, pad Thai was ok but average, masaman curry lacked character and spicy & heat (even though it wasaroef spicy). Avoid it and move on... The neighbourhood has many more restaurants.

Gladly again. My friend said it was the best Pad Thai she had ever eaten. 👍 My Paneng Curry was also great.

The food is pretty authentic, except for the spiciness, which is probably more adapted to European tastes and is, well, toned down. But that is of course understandable. I had duck parts that were marked "very spicy" with 3 stars and although they were spicy, they were still absolutely edible. I don't understand the criticism expressed below about the - supposedly exaggerated - spiciness, it's all still within the green range and if you don't like it spicy, you shouldn't order anything spicy. Otherwise: Attentive and nice service. Unreservedly recommended! We went there twice for dinner last week. In our opinion, it's one of the best Thai restaurants in A'dam and we've already tried a few. Had dinner outside on the terrace on a beautiful summer day. Friendly service, delicious food. I had a phat thai something (I forget the name), but it was a mix of meat, fish and vegetables, with peanuts. Delicious! The starter of lormpias, satay and something else was also tasty. This Thai is highly recommended!

Really super good Thai food, it really tastes like it tastes in Thailand. Very friendly staff and lots of vegetarian options!

We ate really well, the dishes were delicious and the sauces were delicious. but we were disappointed because two tables that arrived after us were served before us, we had the starter after half an hour and the main again after half an hour. In the meantime, the other two tables have already finished eating. We ate inside and it was very noisy. It cost us €32 per person for a starter to share, a main course each, and a drink each.

The duck was very tasty, another dish was less so, it was noodles with chicken and vegetables, a bit of a hodgepodge if you ask me

Hidden Thai gem in Amsterdam with amazing food (including many vegan/vegetarian options) and warm hospitality. We had the Som Tum salad, Tom Kha soup and the tofu with red chilli paste (all vegetarian) and were very impressed by the taste and portion sizes!

I recently enjoyed dinner at Chock Dee Thai restaurant in Amsterdam and had a wonderful experience. The cozy ambiance and warm welcome set the tone right away. I began with Satay Kai and Tom Yam Kung, both delicious, but the Tom Yam Kung was particularly remarkable for its authentic Thai flavor. The main courses, Phad Thai Neua (Rice Noodles with Beef) and Pla Tod Krop (Crispy Sea Bream with Thai Herbs and Cashew Nuts), were both superb, showcasing exceptional attention to flavor and presentation. The menu was easy to navigate and offered a variety of vegetarian options. We concluded with Mango Sticky Rice, a perfect ending to our meal. Generous portions, attentive service, and the friendly owners made our visit truly memorable, all at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Thai flavors in Amsterdam!

Booked this restaurant for after our trip to Anne Frank museum (which was excellent!). Cool little restaurant, I think a family business. Food was amazing and decent portions too. We all variations of pad Thai for main course and agreed it was the best pad Thai we’d had ! Staff were very friendly & welcoming. Definitely worth a go if you’re a fan of Thai food. Also try the great cafe/pub nearby (De Orangerie) for a great evening !! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We came upon this place by accident. Totally blown away by it. Two people working hard in an immaculate open kitchen at the back of the restaurant. One other serving at tables. Long time since I saw such a professional set up. The food was fantastic. And very affordable. Possibly the best Thai food I ever had. I'm serious!

Locale carino, unico difetto : molto buio. Cibo buono, senza eccesso di salsa di soia ed abbondante. Ottimi i noodles sia con pesce che con carne. La volta che abbiamo speso di più : 60€ un antipasto da dividere e due piatti con noodles e pesce. prezzi leggermente più cari rispetto a locali simili ma ottima qualità. Servizio molto veloce e gentile.

Stumbled upon this restaurant by accident but what a surprise it was! The food was sensational (she had the pad Thai I had sweet n sour chicken) the starters were also amazing! Would definitely recommend if staying anywhere near the centre, staff were extremely helpful and it didn’t cost a bomb. Overall ten ten experience!

Typical restaurant offering traditional Thai dishes. It's not a particularly nice place but the food is truly exceptional! The Pohpia Kat rolls with sweet and sour sauce are spectacular, as is the Kai Phad Med Muamuang. Tasty Phad Thai Kung, abundant and rich in prawns

Delicious food with really fresh dishes. Absolutely recommended is anything made with that delicious satay sauce (freshly made)! The service is super friendly, attentive and works very hard to pamper your stomach.

I have lived in Thailand for a while and have learned to not expect great Thai food out of Thailand, but this time I was wrong! Hit up this Thai place! 100% it was surprisingly great! The food tasted genuinely Thai, and the staff was super nice. Quality was super high, exceeded my expectations BY A LOT, I would have called it a great meal if I got it anywhere in Thailand!
