We ordered a dish without onion, bell pepper, and mushrooms... When we got home... Lots of bell pepper, large mushrooms, and spring onion....

Nice eatery!! Genuinely lovely people; the Christian owner thought it was nice that the place and the menu are subtly adorned with Christian Bible verses 😍. The food is also DELICIOUS! I had a nasi with roasted pork belly and moksi Meti!! ​​Secretly, I had given up hope on Asian restaurants, but honestly, this place will be seeing me more often.. I ordered a soup to have something light to eat in the restaurant and took the nasi home. Well, it was worth it!! I am so happy!!! Super affordable prices, a nasi for €11.50? Where do you find that anymore? And nicely spiced too.. better than, for example, a fried rice as a side dish where you pay a fortune for a whole meal. I am satisfied!!

The food is always tasty, but they are very stingy with the pickles and sambal. Only one sachet of each, even though two portions were ordered.

I don't like to complain, but the €24 shizuan prawns really weren't worth the effort; some onions, carrots, courgette, and mushrooms boiled until soft, and that for that price? The taste was weak too, everything super watery; no, this certainly wasn't tasty……

9 years ago I wrote: "the tastiest roti in Amsterdam for 31 years." Now it turns out it was taken over 7 years ago and the roti is also off the menu. The food was nothing special. The woman is extraordinarily UNfriendly. I will never come here again.

Well, that little boy Joseph made this grandma laugh a lot today, haha. The food was delivered properly and was very tasty; he's a really well-behaved boy with good manners. I am very satisfied!!!

Very, very bad service, especially and ALWAYS by the woman serving there; always giving the wrong types of meat, enormous waiting time when picking up. No, I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. It is and remains a stingy, unreasonable management. Where they make mistakes, they are too cowardly to offer compensation. Ugh, what are those guys actually doing here?

I ordered food from this restaurant for many years. Today I figured out the sauce they use for food is sour, I know the original flavor so I threw it away after 1 spoon, but the sauce they also use for the Roasted Chicken and I have extremely pain with my stomach. Please be carefull if you are consider to eat with them as I re-use the left over food so the quality is not good and will make you sick.

I don't understand all the bad reviews. I ordered there yesterday and the food was excellent. Even though it was a Sunday, it was delivered within 35 minutes, so that was really quick.

Tried multiple items on their menu always as take out. I always go for this restaurant when I don't want to cook during weekdays. It's not that kind of food I'd get on special occasions, but a total valid alternative to home-cooked food during busy weekdays for me.

The welcome from the owner was very warm and welcoming. She is friendly and shows interest in the customers. Although the restaurant is run by people from Myanmar, the menu leans heavily on good Surinamese Chinese cuisine. The taste of the food was delicious and authentic. I found the presentation of the dishes lovely and colorful. The food was freshly prepared. At times the staff behind the counter was pretty loud and present. I would recommend to tone down the volume during phone calls, so the customer feels a bit more comfortable. I'll be back to try more! 🌞

We were really hesitant to go in to eat there; my son was very skeptical, but it was a pleasant surprise. The food was delicious, and the portions were generous. We were very impressed and will definitely return when we visit Amsterdam. The ambiance rating is because, although it's not related to the restaurant itself, we were seated near some diners whose nationality I don't know, but they smelled a bit off.

Absolutely shocking. Ordered from uber eats over 3 hours ago. Phoned after 2 hours for an update after phoning multiple times said it would be 20 mins and they are now closed. DO NOT order from here. Go elsewhere instead and save your time and money!!

Nearby to the Lab111 Cinema, this was a lovely Chinese with a varied menu. As a Brit, Google gave me a rough translation and the lady was very helpful in checking what I wanted. Food was well presented and piping hot. Service was good

Bad. Delivery can take a bit longer on Sunday evenings, and after waiting over an hour, I tried calling about six times, but they simply wouldn't answer. I went to ask for a refund, but that's only possible via Uber, and the phone connection was poor. They said the order was on its way. I met the delivery driver at my front door with cold food. No more Chong Kee for me.

The food was good. Although some meet was overcooked and a bit dry. Duck was a bit dry and over fried. The rest was delicious. The delivery took eternity. And I couldn’t contact the restaurant for long time cause no one answered the phone. When they did they told me he is close to me. But again it took too long. The food was almost cold. Shame cause it was tasty. I give four cause they can do better and the food was good.

Ordered Ma Po Tofu today. We received vegetables with tofu. It contained 5 tofu pieces! The description on Uber Eats doesn't even match what they say! And it wasn't even spicy! Should you call this a Chinese restaurant? We called, and they said we'd come to them to exchange the food when we delivered it!

Rice was dry. Eggshells in my Foe Yong Hai. Too bad, because I always liked to eat here.

I have been coming here for years, and I will answer honestly. I think this is the best Chinese, until Corona came, then they went downhill fast and I had not gotten them anymore. Now I got them again 2 months ago and yesterday and they are again super tasty food like before Corona. My daughter also said yesterday, I have not eaten so well in a long time and asked me where I got it. I am very happy that they are top again, and I can go to my favorite Chinese again.

This place slaps and the prices are really good

Good Chinese food. Fresh. No sweet fake Chinese. Not cheap but value for money. Tjap Tjoy, for example, is packed with colorful vegetables. Not too soft. Tasty, generous amount of chicken, not dry but tender. Simply good!

This was, without question, the worst takeout I’ve had in Amsterdam over the past decade. Every dish I ordered was drowned in the same unappetizing, gloopy sauce that obliterated any potential flavor. It didn’t matter if it was rice, chicken, or vegetables—everything tasted exactly the same: bland and uninspired. I was starving, so I gave it a try, but I instantly regretted it. The texture of the food was off, the sauce was cloying and tasteless, and even the presentation was unappealing. Nothing stood out as remotely enjoyable, and it all felt like it had been thrown together with no care or effort. I absolutely hate wasting food, but this meal left me no choice. I couldn’t justify putting my body through another bite, let alone saving the leftovers. The entire experience was a disaster. Frankly, I wouldn’t be surprised if this place frequently changes its name just to keep unsuspecting customers from catching on to how bad it is. If you value your taste buds, your money, or your time, do yourself a favor and skip this place entirely. It was a colossal waste, and I’ll never make the mistake of ordering from here again.

Ordered food for the 2nd time. The first time they forgot the bowl of noodles. Can happen. Ordered nasi chong kee today. Lovingly thrown together pieces of dehydrated meat on very dry rice with some vegetables and 2 shrimps here and there. Some pieces of meat were spit out again because they had a strange taste. The brown beans with rice and chicken were okay, but could have been a little more refined. Also seemed a bit unloving. Shame. Next time I'll just have to make a fried egg sandwich if I don't feel like cooking.

One of the rudest customer service. The food arrived an hour early. I call them to tell them that they delivered an hour too early and they just went like "yeah so what now?", I was like well don't you think that's a little extreme? And he's just like yeah contact thuisbezorgd. They offered a 10% discount as "refund". By the time I get to eat it its probably already gone bad because everything came out of a microwave and its been sitting in their cooler for like a week before arriving at our doorstep.

The food is basically ok. Delivery too. Just don't order anything to drink with it, because that always goes wrong. You either get the wrong drink or nothing at all.

On three flights, think leek. - The babi pangang and tjaptjoi were sumptuous in a Dutch way, so to speak. - The tenderloin with cashew nuts, well you had to look for that too. Food was really bad and cold. The delivery was also not good. They were 60 minutes late. I called them several times but they were constantly not honest about the delivery time. At one point they blamed the weather. However, if they had delivered in accordance with the agreed time, nothing would have happened. Just don't lie about the delivery! Just be honest! Ram bad! Ice cold food after an hour and a half, brought to the bike in a wet plastic bag. Fries clearly fried a few times, satay very sweet. Rude on the phone and unwilling to compensate, stay away from here!

Ordered delivery in Uber eats. Food was awesome - bami soup is simple but very delicious, chicken wings were a perfect crunch, their signature fried rice and the toppings were all flavourful and fresh. Portion sizes are generous and the delivery arrived very quickly.

Still, I missed a dish. When I responded, they hung up on me. I then called back to find a solution. The lady on the phone said something vague and hung up. This is the worst service I have ever experienced. I don't recommend it. The food was also very average.

Ordered online via Uber Eats and I must say that I have never eaten so bad. Even the sambal you pay 3.50 for is a small bag of chili sauce not spicy at all.

I paid €22 for a portion of beef tenderloin with rice. Once delivered, I see that the container is half full and hardly any meat in it. I fished out the meat to see how much was actually there. Then I called the restaurant and they said this was normal. If I could give 0 stars I would... Ridiculous

Delivery took extremly long (1.5 hours!) and when I called for the ETA, I didn't even receive an apology. The food itself is fine, a nice variety of vegetables in the tjap choi and mihoen with chicken, even to the point where I would've liked a bit more mihoen then vegetables in the dish. Tjauwmin with chicken was fine too, although that dish didn't have any green beans, which you usually do receive with Suriname dishes. Overall solid meal, portions are fine with the price you pay for them.

Waited 1.5 hours, spring roll limp and cold, telo cod cold and tough, moksi meti nasi special, the nasi lukewarm and meat cold. We called and was told "better luck next time"! Very bad, not recommended!

Ordered Meehoen Singapore for take away. Had this before and usually the food is ok, but this time really no good. Too salty, no curry spice flavour at all, the shrimp and cha siu meat were all dried up and the stir fried vegetables were not fresh..also dried up and some tasted bitter....

I'm happy that I have an address for good Chinese food again, but I have often been disappointed in recent months. Chong Kee will be my new go-to. Babi pangang was perfect!

Good food good prices and take away

Slechte bediening. Ongeduldig en onvriendelijk. Eten was onder de maat, niet zoals vroeger. Minder eten op het bord voor méér geld. Temperatuur van het eten nét acceptabel. Voorheen de beste plek in Amsterdam om lekker chow min te eten. Sinds nieuwe eigenaar en kok, niet meer.

Lekker eten voor een goeie prijs. Lekkerste chinees in de buurt. In de zaak altijd vriendelijk te woord gestaan. De meeste slechte reviews gaan over het bezorgen maar ik haal het altijd zelf.

Loved the wonton soup! It arrived hot and just right. The roast chicken and rice was so yummy! 😍 loved that the delivery guy didn't leave my food when they didn't see me outside. They came inside to concierge and they came to get me at my room. Excellent service and fast delivery.

Na 1.5 uur werd eten eindelijk bezorgt. Terwijl ze zelf aangaven met 40 min word bezorgt. Na dat eten er eindelijk was was het koud geen rekeninggehouden met allergieën terwijl bij bestelling afgegeven is zonder satésaus moest. Dus ik weer bellen en werd door een zwaar onbeschofte vrouw aan de telefoon teword gestaan niets was mogelijk ik moest dan maar naar hun toe komen. (ik ben 9 maanden zwanger en als ik had kunnen hadden had ik het ook gehaald en niet laten bezorgen) ik ben in gesprek met deze mevrouw en ze legt me gewoon aan de kant en gaat met andere mensen praten. Eten was koud en had echt weinig vlees. Zonde van mijn geld.

Nadat onze bestelling al 40 minuten overtijd was maar eens gebeld. Ze waren onderweg zei de dame en verder geen reactie waarom het al 40 minuten te laat was. Het eten kwam bijna een uur te laat en was koud. Nooit meer !!

Een jaar later nogmaals geprobeerd en inmiddels is het eten weer naar behoren!

Heerlijk eten ! Kung Pao favoriet. Mmmm

1 portie moksi meti speciaal met tjauw fan halen mij vrouw en ik hier meestal. Kwalitatief heel oke en precies voldoende voor ons twee (rijmt ook nog haha). Ik kom hier al vanaf het begin (zo'n 35 jaar geleden) en hoewel het al een tijdje van eigenaar is veranderd, is het nog steeds enorm lekker. Het proberen zeker waard!

De bezorging duurde ruim 30 minuten langer dan gezegd, de bakkeljauw was bremzout en ik heb nog nooit zulke kleine viskoekjes gezien formaat van een euro wat ze ook per stuk kosten.

Surinaamse nasi met kip besteld en moksi meti bamisoep. De nasi was heerlijk, lekker veel verschillende (verse! perfect geroerbakte!) groenten erdoor, kip en ei. Ik kan geen betere bedenken. Goed op smaak en lekker veel. De bamisoep was ok, maar we hebben beter gehad. Wel goed gevuld met vlees en groenten. En, dat niet alleen, ook nog eens snel geleverd!

Besteld via thuisbezorgd.nl en ruim 2 uur zitten wachten!! Geprobeerd te bellen maar Chong Kee was onbereikbaar. Uiteindelijk is mijn eten nooit geleverd al beweert Chong Kee dat ze dat wel gedaan hebben. Ik kan dus ook fluiten naar m’n centen. Een leugenachtig restaurant en ik zou niemand aanraden hier te gaan eten.

Het kan voorkomen dat je veel zin hebt in een loempia en dat had ik, daarom naar Chong Kee. Na een tijd kwam de loempia eraan. Hij was geel met donkerbruine plekken. De korst was zo hard dat je de loempia amper kon doorsnijden en viel in scherven uiteen. In de loempia huisden verwelkte groente en koude flinters kip die niet lekker roken. De klacht over de loempia werd zogenaamd niet begrepen. Van enig excuus, het voorstel om een nieuwe te bakken, of niet hoeven betalen was geen sprake. Om van de situatie af te zijn heb ik hem maar gewoon betaald. De cola was wel goed.
