Very disappointed with the lunch. There was little to choose from; I eventually ordered loaded fries and they looked like soggy fries with some hoisin sauce thrown on top. I expected more quality from a five-star hotel. A shame, considering it is an atmospheric location both inside and out.

Nice place! Food is good too. Staff a bit disorganized and still have a lot to learn.

We have been to this cafe restaurant almost every time we are visiting Gouda. It’s our regular place to go to especially when visiting with friends. The service is impeccable, food & presentation are awesome. Their breakfast is very reasonable and afternoon tea is just a treat! It’s a great location with lot of history. Staff is friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend it.

Gouda: Hospitality at its finest! We stopped by for lunch. After two mediocre salads at €17.50 each, accompanied by mediocre wines, we wanted to pay with our gift certificate. The waitress accepted the certificate and went to redeem it. The price was €58.50, the certificate €100. She called the manager, and after some discussion, he came to our table. The administration finds it difficult to redeem, so what were we supposed to do about that (incidentally, nowhere on the certificate does it say it has to be spent all at once). He claimed the difference was quite significant. "If you consider it hospitable to make your problem our problem, then you're on your own," we thought. So we left the certificate. We were allowed to take a bottle of their poor wine, but we declined. Hopefully, the €41.50 tip is worth the bad review. We will never come back to spend more money, and we won't recommend wshs to anyone. People thought they'd given us a nice gift, but it turned out to be a huge disappointment. Hats off to the administration and the manager!

The menu is boring; they have four uninteresting things to order. The place is nice and the service is very good. The fries were terrible; how can a fancy place serve fries like they're from McDonald's?

This is a hidden gem behind St. John's Cathedral. It's a place you'll walk past if you don't know it. I had a high tea with friends and it was an amazing experience. Felt like a princess in a castle with the excellent food, great service and perfect atmosphere. Walk down this street and enter this gate. I think it's extra special in the summer to sit outside.

The location itself is truly enchanting, as soon as you step inside, it feels like you have traveled back in time. The atmosphere exudes elegance and tranquility, and the service is excellent. The staff is friendly, professional and knows exactly how to make you feel welcome. The prices are also very reasonable, especially considering the luxurious look and feel. I can highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a special lunch experience. I definitely want to come back soon to try the cocktails!

Had a wonderful time here in a beautiful outdoor garden seating and a lovely ambiance. The menu is short but food is delicious, with fresh ingredients and beautifully served.

Shrimp were simply deep fried Costco butterfly shrimp with sauce from a jar. The cheese crocket was ok, however the egg salad had hardly any egg in it. The kibbeling with fries were cold, tasteless and drenched in a mix of relish, tasteless guacamole and some form of tarter (?) sauce. After I had sent the fish back to be heated they fried the life out of it. Won’t go back.

Had lunch here with my wife. The food was nicely prepared and the taste was good, but we both got something different than we ordered. The waiter was super polite but did not come up with a solution himself, a shame, missed opportunity!

The service was top notch. We arrived 25 minutes prior to closing time, unbeknownst to us, and they happily welcomed us in and took our order. We didn't feel rushed or hurried at all, we left 3 minutes passed closing time and the staff was very friendly and open. We had a small conversation after paying the bill and the escorted us out ( as we were the last guests and the door was locked). 10/10 would visit again Beautiful location as well

Coco Coffee Cocktails Bar The bar is in the middle of Gouda. The building is an old traditional building. The bar and the outdoor area are beautifully designed. A great mix of modernity. Tradition and cosiness. The yard is like a place of peace. Everything is very well maintained. The service is good. The staff very nice and accommodating. The coffee and cake was very good. Recently had lunch here. Sandwiches were very small, but very tasty. There were just a few things that didn't go well. The prices of the food / drinks did not match what was stated on the internet / what was stated on the invoice. We hadn't even started eating when we were asked if it was tasty and we weren't ready yet (well, one was, the other wasn't) or the waitress (who spoke no Dutch and limited English) already wanted the plates. clearing up. That didn't really give me a warm feeling. The staff still has something to learn so...
