A unique and exceptional little place for Italian treats and his speciality, coffee. Proper Italian coffee and easily the best beans to buy to make espresso or Moka coffee, at home. I have a moka and his beans work beautifully with it. I really cannot use any other beans now and if it do, it’s not as good as the Coffee Gallery. It’s a little piece of history as well and a fascinating shop.

I was stopping by and stood there for 5 seconds, but the owner stormed out to chase me away for no reason. It was very unpleasant and he won’t listen to me.

It is the next level ice-cream! I’ve ordered Malaga ice-cream, and it was the best ever! If I’d have a restaurant, I would be definitely buying ice-cream for deserts here. The owner might be moody or arrogant (being local I have never experienced it myself), but he makes one of the best ice-cream in Amsterdam / the Netherlands / Europe, even the best one actually.

***avoid at all costs*** I live local to here and was excited to visit but I should’ve read the other reviews first - in line with other reviews, the owner was extremely unfriendly and refused to serve us as we were on a bike ride . We went next door and had some very nice ice cream there instead 😊 whilst we were eating outside the shop next door we also saw the owner of this place ask a paying customer to leave as they were reading on one of the tables outside. What a disgrace this is to the area

Es antipático, grosero, el capuchino acuoso estaba cubierto de cacao en polvo sin pedir, y aparentemente no se me permite leer mientras bebo mi café afuera. “No somos Starbucks”, dijo. No soy fan de Starbucks, pero si fuera un poco más complaciente y menos insultante, podría tener clientes. Avoid. Hay muchos cafés geniales en Amsterdam. Este no es uno de ellos.

Can’t understand the owner’s business model. He’s unfriendly, rude, the watery capuchino was covered in unasked for cocoa powder, and I’m apparently not allowed to read while drinking my coffee outside. “We’re not Starbucks”, he said. I’m no fan of Starbucks, but if he were a little more accommodating and less insulting he might actually have customers. Avoid. There are so many great cafés in Amsterdam. This is not one of them.

Tourist trap, just outside the Rembrandthuis. Watch out for prices and ask for them upfront. Each ice cream scoop is 3 euros; 4 tastes=12 euro. Insane

The man here is really mad, really bad service. The man here seems arrogant. He is really rude. We sat 4 men at the table, but 3 on one side on the bench, and 1 on the uncomfortable chairs. Then I was told to move to the other side, in a very unpleasant way, no politeness.

A bad place to go!! He will insult you !! I am Italian and I was insulting him back !! The worst place in Amsterdam to get ice cream !! Never go there ! We are kind, nice people Italians ! He is not an example of how we really are ! Italian ice cream is better with an smile and love with it ! He is rude !!! Avoid it !!!

Not even a hello! Not even a goodbye, the man who manages the store obviously has no sense of business, to flee!

The owner is the rudest person you will ever meet. He closes his door and sits on the side. If you try to see if it is even open, he stares at you and says “what are you doing”. He thinks he is better than everyone else. No basic manners or courtesy let alone hospitality. Don’t waste your time here as a customer. He makes you feel like you are begging for his food. Go somewhere else if you want great Italian food. There are many options in the city.

Coffee very tasty, but the gentleman who works there is not very friendly. It's funny that you have to ring the bell, it's a shame you can't go in, but whatever. Espresso quite on the pricey side. Shame.

Unfriendly owner with a superiority complex. Wanted to go look to know the options and he said we don't need to go inside and see, he'll just tell us. Everything he said was with a superior tone.

Leuke plek om een beetje naar mensen te kijken. Verder niet super denderend, duur voor een klein bakkie koffie.

This coffee is really not bad. They have several varieties, it’s not very expensive and the service is cool.

I enjoyed the espresso and the cannoli. You don’t actually enter the space and instead ring a bell and get served at the door. I liked the vibe and would gladly return. Owner was really cool.

Really nice guy, good affogato, i spilled my coffee and he didn’t even let me pay my coffee :) 10/10 recommend

Ik dacht even ontspannen op het terrasje te gaan zitten en een koffie + cannoli te nemen. Toen ik voor de deur stond en naar binnen keek (je mag namelijk niet naar binnen) en vriendelijk vroeg naar de cannolis werd ik toegeschreeuwd door een chagrijnige vent dat ik weg moest gaan of moest gaan zitten en niet naar binnen mocht kijken!!? Ben lekker ergens anders gaan zitten. Bizar.

De koffie hier is heerlijk en de eigenaar erg aardig. Dit is een fijne plek om een koffie af te halen. Daarnaast is het geen 10 in een dozijn koffiezaak. Geen hipster vibe hehe.

Ik bezoek Amsterdam meerdere keren per jaar en ik ga dan altijd langs deze plek. De koffie is geweldig en de broodjes ook. De eigenaar heeft duidelijke standaarden. Dit is geen standaard koffie zaak maar een koffiezaak met een speciale twist en stijl. Deze plek is een zegen in een tijd van copy paste koffiezaken.

Lekkere koffie maar nors personeel, werd erg streng aangesproken omdat ik een waterfles op de tafel had staan van het terras. Kom hier alleen naartoe als je koffie wilt afhalen, vond het geen prettige ervaring

Excellent coffee and great panini. Do not expect a hipster vice. authentic and excentric, I guess not for everbody. In my experience the owner was very friendly. It is a very small place inside, they got quite a few seats outside. I recommand it for a quick bite and coffee.
