Starbucks in Zuidas

Very bad service. They write the names wrong and give me a coffee I didn’t even order. Try not to come to this place.

I come here every day, but today, with the scorching heat, I couldn't order a drink. They weren't accepting cash today, and I didn't have my debit card with me. It's a real disgrace. I spend 150 euros a month, so never again.

Wauw incredible bad customer service. Ordered 2 double espresso’s got one needed to ask several times when the second would come. Than the answer was we only charges one you need to go in line and pay. The line was very long. You can make mistakes but to be this uninterested and rudd is not necesarry Very poor customer service don’t go here.

I clearly asked for a white mocha latte. I even asked if it could have two shots. Subsequently, that wasn't written on the cup, and so, because it was made by a different person than the one at the counter, there is no coffee in it. And you pay €6 for that...

The barista couldn’t have been more slow and she had the worst attitude. Before I ordered I told her coworker that I was tight on time and if it was possible to make my order within 5 minutes. She said there was no one before me so it should be fine. The barista took 10 minutes to make my order and when I asked her if she could please hurry up because I have a train to catch, she gave me the worst attitude and started being EVER SLOWER. She forgot my extra espresso shot and whipped cream that I PAID for! The worst experience ever!

Great service, friendly ladies, however no toilet and contacts do not always work, so working on laptop is sometimes not possible if your out of power. I get the idea that they do not want people working there all day ;)

Felicia, girl. What is going on? I’ve noticed you frequently speak to customers in a cynical and belittling way. Hospitality might not be the right fit if interacting with people seems to ruin your mood. A little kindness goes a long way, especially at the start of someone’s day. This employee is consistently rude and dismissive. She makes customers feel small just for placing an order. I genuinely don’t understand how someone with this attitude was hired for a customer-facing role.

I normally never leave reviews or complain about service, but this morning’s experience at Starbucks honestly made me feel so unwelcome that I feel like I have to say something. I ordered the new iced caramelized banana matcha because I just wanted to try something new. While I was waiting, the girl next to me was asked if she was a student and got a discount, while I was standing right there and wasn’t asked at all. Not a huge deal on its own, but it already made the interaction feel a little off. Then around 5 people who ordered after me got their drinks before I did. When my drink finally came out, it was an iced latte instead of the matcha I ordered. I politely said something like, “I had the matcha,” and immediately got a really weird, lowkey annoyed reaction from the baristas. Mind you, I worked at Starbucks myself for 3 years, so I’m genuinely not someone who likes causing problems in cafés or restaurants. But I also really hate coffee, so obviously I wanted the actual drink I ordered. I was being SUPER apologetic the entire time even though it literally wasn’t my fault 😭 After a lot of sighing/puffing, I got another drink, but when I looked at the sticker it said “vanilla, light ice and latte.” So I again politely said, “I’m so sorry, but I had the banana matcha.” And one of the girls literally responded with, “Why didn’t you say that??” in such an irritated tone that I genuinely felt embarrassed for asking for the correct order. The thing is: at first I didn’t look at the sticker because I could already SEE it was a latte and not a matcha, so I didn’t know it was specifically a vanilla matcha. Both girls behind the bar acted really shady toward me for literally just wanting the drink I paid for. And it wasn’t even light ice either 😭 What honestly upset me most is that I left feeling like I had done something wrong, when all I did was ask for the correct drink. I know mistakes happen — especially in busy stores — but the attitude and customer service were what made the experience so uncomfortable. At the Starbucks I worked at, this kind of behavior toward customers would’ve been a complete no-go because friendliness and making customers feel welcome were always the priority. I also want to say that I’m not writing this to be mean to the baristas, and I genuinely still hope they have a good day. I just honestly felt really embarrassed and kind of put on the spot over something that wasn’t even my fault, and I wanted to say something because I left feeling genuinely really bad afterwards. Now I genuinely feel awkward going back there, which is crazy because all I wanted was to try the new banana matcha 😭

Personal decided to hide in a storage room instead of opening the spot. It had to be opened at 7.15 and don’t dare to open now

Just tried to get a normal flat white; but unfortunately, it didn't work out! It took a very long time, and when I walked over to employee Ben, he said he had already called out 3 times, so I was out of luck because the coffee was cold! Then I went back to him to get a hot coffee; he threw some hot milk on it and said it was done! That was coconut milk, which I don't want! After that, I ordered a whole new flat white; it had absolutely no coffee flavor, it was just hot milk! I find this a despicable way of doing things; it seems like Ben has absolutely no idea what he's doing! I thought Starbucks stood for good coffee and quality, but please, don't go there!!!

€4.16 for a small filter coffee… this is 25% more expensive than Starbucks Schiphol, which is surely the most premium location in the Netherlands. On top of that, it's always stiflingly hot inside.

Terrible and rude service. The product was stale and served unheated. When I asked them to heat it, they refused. You'd get a muffin ten times better than this one from the supermarket.

I found this place was abit more clean than other ones because the lady staff was cleaning the tables as soon as guest leaves which made the environment hygienic.

The espresso was strong, as expected, with a slightly bitter edge. Service was reasonably fast. The Amsterdam location near the station was quite busy, but it did keep things moving. The Wi-Fi was decent, not exceptional, but it works for a bit of internet.

They let you order, and before you’ve even received the coffee, they say: “Sorry, you have to leave, we’re closed.” Unwelcoming and ridiculous, of course 🤯

4,96€ for the small cappuccino is far too expensive for this quality, it was impossible to drink, really bad coffee, sour and burnt

first of all i have no problem with the drink i recieved its ok and everything, but what im mainly writing about is the person who served me followed me home, so it was 6:20 about 30 minutes before they close i got my usual drink but the person serving me kept giving me weird looks and winking at me, which is very disrespectful to me as a man with a wife and 2 children, so once that happened i got my drink finished and everything was good it was around 6:30 because it was a bit busy... i finished im walking home and i realise about mid way through the walk, about at gustavmaherlaan that the man who was giving me weird looks was behind me but was speed walking ( i realised when i saw his reflection on windows on my left) so i started speeding up and that turned into running, but unfortunatly he caught up and just attacked me and started licking my neck and sort of humping my behind, all this happened in the middle of an ally in between an apartment and a i think a hair salon, but when he did that i tried hitting him which didnt work he just slammed my head onto the ground multiple times, at that point i was trying to reach into my pocket for defence which was a pocket knife i carry for cases like these. Thankfully i was able to reach into my front pocket and slit his arm and make a run for the nearest police station, currently theres an investigation going on since that incident, since there is camera footage from nearby security cameras. Please everyone stay safe that man is still out there and im still sure he works at that starbucks take care everyone

€4.85 for the smallest cappuccino. Maybe they should mention it's Kopi Luwak.

Visited Starbucks Amsterdam Zuid and had a disappointing experience. When I placed my order quickly, the cashier (white girl,black glasses and brown hair in ponytail) said with an attitude: “We first say hello.” Okay AND we first speak Dutch as we are in the Netherlands but didn’t hear you speak it???(workers should know this language besides English.) Also, I think you FORGOT that i’m the CUSTOMER here and NOT YOU so I don’t understand who you think you are in this situation. Her tone stayed unpleasant during the whole order, ending with a sarcastic “Have a good day” written on my cup. Poor customer service, don’t understand why that girl is still working there and not fired yet.Why is Starbucks is allowing this type of behaviour towards customers and why are rude, racist people allowed to work there? Are this the values that Starbucks strives for? If you want to get disrespected as a customer then you definitely should visiting this branch of Starbucks.

Located at the entrance to Amsterdam South (Zuid) train station, it opens earlier than other bakeries and cafes, making it a great place to relax with a cup of coffee before catching your train. The staff are quick and helpful, which is nice. The bread and coffee are, of course, excellent.

Was served by Mahe today. She was extremely friendly. She definitely deserves a raise

Bought 2 coffees both tasted bitter. For 10 euro that’s very disappointing

The worst welcome I've ever received at a Starbucks!!! Yet I've visited them in Morocco, Spain, Belgium, even in France, in Paris, they serve better. A young woman serves me and she's obviously very, very unhappy that I don't speak English well enough and that I order several things (well, yes, what an idea on my part not to just take a cake or a drink and leave, it's an extra job for her!). I'm going to teach this impertinent woman a very French expression: when you're not pretty, you try to at least be polite! I'll never set foot in that place again. A little training from Starbucks on "how to serve customers properly and learn to do your job well" is in order. And if this young woman (who seems to be of Italian origin) doesn't like her job, there's also resigning which could be a benefit for her, a word of advice, it's better not to work in customer contact anymore, it's probably not for her.

The most expensive Starbucks I ever saw 😒 I’d be fine with it if the food and drinks were tasty, but it’s not

I went to this Starbucks to have a sandwich and a drink, ordered a iced chai tea latte with oat milk, the employee asked me if I wanted « hot oat milk » and i said no just oat milk. She then proceeds to give my cup with te info to her colleague and she shrugged her shoulders as if my order was a weird request. Indeed, when i received my drink it was a weird order since it wasn’t what i ordered… it was busy and i wanted to leave so I did, but really she asked me several times what i wanted and she still had my order wrong… not the first time i got to this Starbucks and this kind of situation happened so that’s why I wrote this review.

Coffee was good, Nice place to work for a while, only found the lady behind the counter a bit rude, rolled her eyes and spoke a bit with adtitude, don't know her name but she had brown hair and glasses.

Terrible service at this Starbucks, the manager is a super rude, arrogant and haughty girl, today I bought a medium cappuccino and she gave me a cappuccino with less than half of the product when I asked her if that was the level of a medium cappuccino, the truth is very disappointed since I had to go buy another cappuccino at another Starbucks and oh surprise she was wrong, I frequently buy at that Starbucks since it is close to my work, it is not the first time that she has that attitude, they should at least teach her how to make a cappuccino.

The opening time really needs to be updated and be consistent. I usually get here around 8:45 on. Saturday, and it’s already open with lots of customers. Today I got here at 8:05am and it was still closed. Even though the sign says 7:30am for Saturday. Yet on Google it says 9:00am for Saturday and it’s always open before 9? It doesn’t make sense. Lots of customers end up leaving because they think it’s already open and it’s not.

Unwelcome. Also, though toilet shown an Amenities, flatly refused by staff. Very disappointing.

The drink was okay, however I got yelled at by the cashier for wanting to ask a question. She didn’t ask me to wait or anything, just straight up started yelling at me. I felt so embarrassed and taken aback but that’s apparently the kind of service they’re offering. I couldn’t get in contact with anyone, not by phone or by email… I will not be coming back here, horrible awful service.

Service was very poor, made derogatory gestures behind the customers' backs. Floor is dirty, tables don't seem wiped all day.

I was treated badly by an employee Iris at Starbucks Coffee in Zurich. I order 2 large mango dragon fruit drinks for an amount of €12.30. I give 50 €. The saleswoman asks me if I don't have change. Unfortunately no. She tells me she can't take it. She can't take it from everyone. I insisted by telling him to check his cash register first and in fact there was enough in the cash register. Racism. Amazing !!

In one word ‘terrible’! We bought two cheesecakes to enjoy at home. When I took the first bite, I couldn’t quite figure out what was wrong, but by the second bite I realized it smelled and tasted like freezer burn. It had absorbed the odor of every item in the freezer, or maybe it had been left uncovered in the fridge for days. The strawberry jelly topping had such a terrible smell it’s hard to even describe. Absolutely unacceptable! The texture and taste were awful, and it upset my stomach immediately. I would never expect this kind of quality from a place like Starbucks. Whether it was spoiled, expired, or just staleit should never have been sold to a customer!!!! It was so bad we had to spit it outwe just couldn’t eat it.

Why do all the people who work here look like they absolutely don't want to be there? Is Starbucks such a terrible employer or is it something in the management of this branch? Whatever it is, the ladies here could use a lesson in customer service. In any case, those grumpy heads ensure that I buy my coffee somewhere else, which is a shame because I really love Starbucks. Maybe the Americans should give them a customer service course. The difference between here in the Netherlands and there in the US is really huge. And "accidentally" writing the wrong names on the cups is really something from 10 years ago. Do better

The woman I went to to order already had no emotion when I ordered. But then I accidentally dropped my knife and asked if I could have a new one because otherwise it would be dirty. She rolled her eyes and didn't say anything, but she did grab my knife. I thought that was quite strange actually. And when I wanted to take my plate away, she didn't even look at me and pointed to where I should put it. She needs to use her words more and show emotion. I understand that work isn't fun, but at least try. Fortunately, the other colleague was very nice to me. Don't know her name but she had glasses and brown hair.

Apparently, they don’t serve Frappuccino’s anymore…not if you come at 6pm because they’re already starting to close one hour before closing time. Store is also dirty and trashcan was overflowing with cups while staff is playing on phones.

You certainly can't call it a cozy entrance and atmosphere. The people behind the counter are busy talking to other employees and are happy to make you wait 5 minutes. Then ask twice what you wanted as they have been distracted in the meantime. Can't even get a smile or even a hello.

Had breakfast with my partner yesterday morning. There were three girls behind the counter, only one of whom understood the concept of customer service. But other than that it was a terrible experience. No greeting or even acknowledgment of the customer upon entry. No friendly word when ordering, paying, collecting and leaving. The coffee was served with disinterest. Even worse: laughing among themselves while the customer waits without acknowledging the customer's presence. Note: it wasn't even busy when I was here. The underperformance of the staff cannot have been due to work pressure.

Terrible iced pumpkin spice latte, what a waste of money. Let other 3 friends try to see if it was my taste, but no one liked it either, badly done. Threw it away after a couple of sips.

Always very dirty. The tables are not washed, and when they are cleaned in the evening, it is a dirty rag without a special antibacterial agent for surfaces.

Bad experience. I ordered mango dragonfruit and the barista(black woman) gave me strawberry acai and when I complained that it is not what I ordered, she just said ‘yeah, because we don’t have it and it’s same.’ and she went back to talk with her friend. She was also talking with her friend at the casher and her friend was exactly next to me while I was ordering. There was not busy at all at the moment. She should have told me that it is sold out. My order was at 16:12 on 3rd of September. Starbucks should care of this store.

I've ordered cold brew coffee. They got the payment and order. Afterwards, they said that they're out of their cold brew coffee. How professional is this? Then they gave me an ice americano that tasted like coffee flavored water. And yes they got cold brew money which is more expensive than americano.

Customer service was excellent! Employees named Julia and Nehir were very helpful and kind. They patiently answered our questions and made a situation better which they themselves were not responsible for. After the horrible experience at the Starbucks Sloterdijk they are the reason I’ll be returning to Starbucks Zuid! Shout out to Julia⭐️ and Nehir⭐️

I always order a caramel frappe, and I thought I would treat myself along the way. I walk outside, it just tastes like water, it was undrinkable and immediately thrown away 🥹

Helaas voor de zoveelste keer de winkel op station zuid niet om 7uur open! Onderstussen is het nu zo vaak voorgekomen dat het vertrouwen geschaad is. Zonde! Daarnaast is de prijs wederom gestegen. De prijs voor een medium cappuccino kost nu maar liefst 4.95 euro!!! En dan nog maar niet te spreken over het feit dat je soms alleen nog maar in het engels geholpen wordt! Het genot van een heerlijke koffie in de ochtend is zo ver te zoeken. De eerste teleurstelling gebeurt als je wederom voor een gesloten deur staat. (Personeel is dan overigens wel aanwezig, maar zijn rustig met 2 man de broodjes ed. in de vitrine aan het zetten). Tweede teleurstelling is de prijs. Kom op starbuck, dit kan echt beter!

The service at Starbucks at the Zuid station is distinguished by exceptional efficiency and professionalism, which translates into rapid execution of orders even during the busiest hours. In addition to quick service, Starbucks at Zuid Station also offers a wide selection of drinks and snacks, as well as souvenirs with an Amsterdam/Netherlands theme. I bought a mug with a Dutch house motif. Minus one star for the lack of a toilet in the premises.

I admit this was my first taste of coffee in Amsterdam after two long flights, and the milk packets would not open. I tried the first and could not get milk out. I tried another, and another, which exploded in my hand and got my hands sticky. Otherwise, nice people behind the counter.

I personally think that Starbucks quality-price ratio is very skewed. In addition, the Starbucks tea water is really too ridiculously hot compared to other coffee places. I think they could really adjust the temperature. Just a few degrees less hot!

Onvriendelijk personeel dat géén Nederlands sprak maar blijkbaar ook geen zin had in Engels. Slappe koffie. Zonder uitleg werd 10 cent extra in rekening gebracht voor wegwerpbeker. Na betaling zag ik stenen bekers, desgevraagd waren die ook voor koffie. Daaruit koffie gedronken, 10ct konden niet teruggegeven worden. Nadat ik een opmerking maakte over het feit dat er 5 mensen op rij voor het raam uit een wegwerpbeker koffie aan het drinken waren, werden slechts schouders opgehaald. Check de Starbucks site over sustainability! Papier is geduldig! Practice what you preach Starbucks. En een glimlach is nog altijd gratis

One of the worst coffees that I've had in Amsterdam. Coffee tasted burnt and the milk foam was not well done

Yes I know it's a little overpriced, but if we Americans don't have anywhere to get somewhat overpriced sugary coffee, we start to get ideas about bringing democracy to the region.

Just standard starbucks quality with worst service. Letting customer wait in front of their face because they were busy goofing around, took 20min instead of 5min to receive a single cup of coffee because they were busy hanging out with themselves. Meanwhile someone who came after we did got their coffee first. Sad that google doesn’t support zero star for rating.
