I used to love to absolutely love this coffeeshop, been going since the mid-‘90’s, however last time I was there, with a friend that never been there before, the staff were the rudest I’ve ever experienced 😞 Most sadly. Rude when I bought some weed (maybe because my friend that doesn’t smoke at all so only bought a drink), but while I was rolling and smoking their product my girlfriend called me (she lives in Thailand) to say goodnight to me, and the aggression from the staff to stop my phone call was so aggressive I will NEVER go there again 🤷 Luckily there are better places to smoke in the beautiful city that is Amsterdam, without asshole staff that can’t be polite to start with. Not that you have to care, but bye bye Bluebird after 30 years of loving the place 🤷

I love this place. The staff is very kind and thoughtful. I spent some time here with a friend and also alone doing some creative journaling/crafting. The music is nice. Really enjoyed the vibe and will definitely come back when I‘m in the city again! I enjoyed the fresh ginger tea and was very pleased to see the prices for beverages, not overpriced! The toilets were also mostly clean, that’s great! Thanks to all the staff for your service and making me feel comfortable!

As you know, it's an affordable place for smoke. Freshly squeezed juice, coffee etc.

My friend and I shared a “Space Muffin” and experienced an unexpectedly strong effect. Our entire day was lost. We don’t know the exact THC dosage, but it definitely didn’t feel normal. Despite telling the staff multiple times that we had no experience with THC, we were given the muffin without any particular warning. Please be careful! If you’re not used to it, make sure to research beforehand. It’s not worth spending an entire day feeling unwell. If you really want to try it, start with a very small amount and see how it affects you. Enjoy Amsterdam responsibly!

The place is nice, seating is comfortable in coffeeshop context, and selection of produce is fine. However, the way you treat customers is not OK - when it is 2 degrees celcius outside, and you have customers sitting in your downstairs seating area, you DO NOT tell them they cannot close the front door, and do not force them to sit there with these doora wide open! Ridiculous behavior, invest in proper ventilation if you need to circulate the air from the premises but do not leave the clients that pay for you business to operate freezing (in summer it would be fine, but when it is cold outside this is far from being acceptable).

Favorite place to go, no extra special strains but the best local ones for the best prices. Comfortable atmosphere and the best and nicest staff in amsterdam!

The worst coffee shop ever in Amsterdam, I was extremely disturbed by the behaviour of your staff, who acted in a completely disrespectful, sexist, and racist manner towards a female customer. The customer in question was subjected to offensive comments by another a member of staff , which were all sexist and racially inappropriate. However, instead of addressing the harassment or offering support to the victim, your staff chose to defend the individual responsible for the comments and subsequently asked the woman to leave the premises. This not only worsened the situation but also made me feel even more alienated and unsafe. Such behaviour from both the customer and the staff is entirely unacceptable and deeply concerning. No one should be made to feel unwelcome or uncomfortable in your establishment, especially due to their gender or race. It is disheartening to see that, rather than upholding a standard of respect, your staff chose to side with the person causing harm. I strongly urge you to investigate this incident and take the necessary actions to ensure such behaviour is not tolerated in the future. This includes providing your staff with proper training on handling situations involving harassment and ensuring all customers are treated with the respect they deserve.

Extremely rude staff. We were refused entry to this coffee shop because, according to the staff, our Romanian IDs were “not valid.” This claim is completely false, as Romanian IDs are valid and accepted everywhere within the EU. This was an utterly baseless excuse, and the treatment we received felt discriminatory.I’ve been there multiple times and this never happened before.(products are pretty shitty too). Also the vibes and music are just weird, felt unsafe as a girl. I do not recommend.

I visited on Saturday 14/09, loved our service fro Francis she made a superb macchiato… my first joint in a cafe… was great so helpful and welcoming… loved the chilled out atmosphere see you again on the 7/10 when we come over again… thankyou for being totally wicked!

A local recommended this place to me and my friends while we were travelling saying that it was better than the touristy big brand of the city. Indeed, it was cheaper and the staff were very helpful. We had to walk a short while to get there, but it was well worth it.

Although things appear in the burger fever sometimes, the staff’s treatment is very bad, more than the description. It was the worst experience and I do not recommend it at all.

The best cannabis I ever had during my trip in the Netherlands was the “Tropicana Cherry” 🍒 hybrid bought from Bluebird. Definitely worth the price! As a medical cannabis patient with chronic fatigue, this strain tasted absolutely delicious in my vaporizer and gave me the much needed energy boost for my touristy adventures. I didn’t eat here as I am allergic to too many things but they still deserve 5 starts across the board from me for the service. Very respectful “bouncer” who checks IDs right as customers enter, which I appreciate. There was a bit of a line but it moved rather quickly. As a first time customer I had some questions and wasn’t sure about what to select. The sales person behind the counter was very patient and talked me through my order with kindness. I had a random question to the barista and she answered it very politely, even though I wasn’t getting anything to eat or drink. I sat outside on the surprisingly comfortable chair and had a great little break from being a tourist. Very happy to have discovered this place spontaneously.

So this a hidden gem so much so it gives speakeasy vibes. Perfect ambience, attentive & knowledgeable staff, with stellar selection of goodies, drinks and food. …trust me it is worth it. (::Warning story to follow of the customer service::) Numerous times have I come. But first time, tonight I met the most adorable woman bartender. She was able to grab my attention (while i looked off into oblivion and tried not to stare), as my socially awkward self stumbles through words she was able to offer prerolls. She was sweet and handled my shyness business appropriately and with understanding it seems. Very kind, will return and get goosebumps every-time but now went off to chase the sunset. Had to write it sorry.

Both times I came I brought my own stuff, but their food and coffee is great, the employees are all really nice and the vibe is 10/10 to just lounge for hours.

They made no effort to understand me with my limited English and the fact that the "watchman" spoke Spanish... I felt watched... As if he were going to take away the bowl of tobacco that was on the table or take away María's cigarette... I don't think I'll go any more, even if I go to Amsterdam... There are not only joints and prostitutes...

Established in 1982! I visited this cafe based on recommendation. If you don't smoke like me the Volcano vape is exactly what you are looking for. I enjoyed 90 mins here; the music, conversations, hand-painted walls and people watching outside all made the experience memorable. They have a very good ventilation system and I saw them ID check people who looked under-age, also very good. GO HERE!

Bluebird is one of the two best coffeshops in Amsterdam in my opinion. You can charge your phones, toilet reasonable clean, very nice staff and mostly nice music. Weeds also good.

I've never had a better experience buying weed and the quality compared to the price is the best ;-).

Would highly recommend going to this place as a tourist. They have a wide variety of strains and spacecakes, and are very knowledgeable. Be warned though if you are inexperienced, the spacecakes are very strong

I spent a lot of time here as a tourist, would highly recommend. They have good quality weed, hashish and edibles for good prices. They play relaxing music as well. It's a central location but slightly off the beaten track. Their edibles are strong and worth the money. It has a good atmosphere.

Service was kind and atmosphere was good if I consider the furnitures and design. Many sofas and chairs were placed here and lots of pictures of wildlife hanged on the walls. I missed music there really much. Tea which I ordered was perfect to joint, from which I have confused feelings. I bought garlic kush, which was amazing, but blue haze wasn’t really good. For 20 minutes maybe yeah but then nothing. No affect.

Their motto is "Take Flight". I agree, run from this place. I ordered hot American coffee. They were going to give me Americana until I asked. Well they didn't have the American coffee made yet. I'll wait. I ordered a croissant as advertised on their signage. Oops, they dont sell them anymore. Then take it off the sign. Ok. I ordered a muffin and asked to heat it. The coffee was ok, not 3x the cream like I ordered, but ok. The blueberry muffin was toasted ontop only. I began eating it and the top was toasted nice. But the inside was ice, I mean refrigerator ice cold. I threw it away. Employee needed to heat it slowly up to room temputure, then a toaster oven. Not leave it cold in center. Make employees eat it that way so they understand it. The cost $7.52 for a garbage thrown away muffin and a coffee without x - cream,. YEP, I agree with their slogan or WARNING, "TAKE FLIGHT" , get/run away from this place.
