CoffeeShop Funky Munkey in Jordaan

EDIT: This is no longer the Funky Munkey. Everything about the Funky Munkey has been replaced by S.W.E.D., but poorly. Staff is rude and the ambiance is gone.

This place is wack. A “coffee” shop should have good vibes and good lighting. The lighting in this place is TERRIBLE. Downright criminal. The music is ONLY Snoop Dogg, like what? That’s got to be the weirdest move ever. Not chill vibes in here. There’s much better spots to go to. The 5 star reviews must be the owners cuz no one would say this place is good.

Troubleshooting on a Sunday at 11 p.m. was great.

I would avoid this place if your looking for good weed its expensive burns bad tases as bad as it burns worst place we visited and the least welcoming

Nice staff, great coffee and fast service

This is no longer Funky Munkey, but a Snoop Dogg store. Service was incredibly rude, and if you ask for advice they will scoff and say whatever to make the line go faster. It is now a tourist trap; no longer a place to unwind with the WORST service ever. Don’t bother going here when there are other cozy shops around.

I've been to amsterdam 3 times (4th in september this year) and I loved this coffee shop since my first time in 2019. It was my favorite, the vibe, the people that worked there. I was so excited to take my two bestfriends there for my 3rd time there (their first in 2022) The new owner/worker whatever, was SO rude. we ordered some coffe and food but we had our own weed and she said and i quote "if the coffeshop starts do get full you would be the first asked to leave." it was 9 or 10 am and we were the only people there for the whole time we were there. I am coming again but I will NOT comeback to this place. I spoke so many good things about it and i felt like a liar lol Daniel (the worker there, that i met in 2019 and 2020) you're an angel, and so kind! thank you for making that place like home, i hope you're doing great wherever you are

This is no longer CoffeeShop Funky Monkey, but has been replaced by a SWED Snoop Dogg shop. It is not good. Uncomfortable interior - thoughtful design in the same way benches meant to prevent homeless people from sleeping there is thoughtful. Service was rude. Hot chocolate was good though

Coffeeshop now called S.W.E.D a snoop dogg store. Newest coffee shop in Amsterdam absolutely stunning inside friendly atmosphere Will knowledgeable but tenders. I tried the L.A Pop 10/10

Not kind service opposed to other coffeshops

Staff has high temper, not communicative, you cannot even smoke the one you got from there inside without spending extra. No need to give your precious time.

Been told that I must order drink even though I purchase weed from there to be able to smoke inside.

Excellent edibles (June 2024), both the regular brownies and the more expensive, but genuinely delicious cakeblocs.

A small but nice and cozy coffee shop. The staff were quite nice although they kept us waiting for the shift change for quite a while. You can smoke with tobacco and the coffee is very good.

The service is bad , the price get higher also the stuff it’s the worst weed I ever smoked it

Unfortunately new owner, lost some of the historic strains (blueberry) and have increased the prices dramatically. Also a bit unwelcoming and unfriendly, do yourself a favor and don’t waste your money there, plenty of other choices around

Great variety of quality, they also make an offer if you order 5g. There are edibles like muffins and cakes. The environment is good and clean. Highly recommended.

regular stop these days when I go to Amsterdam. update April 2024: menu is smaller,. and more expensive 35 euro munkey haze 5gr is gone there are better deals to be had in am*dam, I'll skip this one.

Just bumped up the prices and has a far less chill vibe with the new owner. There are better places all around so can only recommend here if you need a place to sit and are struggling.

Went there because they were advertised as having a snooker/ pool table. It was a long way to walk to find out that they didn't have one at all

Almost everything is missing these days. Hardly any service at all, billiards table gone, tables gone, no toilet for men [only peeing possible] and and and. No food!!! Weed sola. Significantly decreased in the last 2 years. No longer worth a visit. Mood catastrophic.

Attention, there is the well-known fake blueberry haze here! Treated with terpenes or something artificial. Definitely not real weed terpenes. I know exactly what real blueberry varieties smell like, whether BB Kush, BB cheese or the very rare BB Haze... this one is definitely sprayed with "perfume" i.e. shisha aroma / terpenes or treated in some other way. There are many ways to add smells to weed and any other product. The saleswoman was incredibly unfriendly. Didn't realize that we noticed it and didn't want to buy it. Went without buying. People just avoid a place like that. There are too many good shops in Amsterdam where you can get real weed terpenes... also blueberry and other strong-smelling varieties, but they were actually created by professional growers and were not added afterwards. Go to the easy Times coffee shop and try blueberry or cheese and other varieties there and smell the difference between the original and fake smells.

The top quality weeda of the brand Blue Berry Haze and not onli that one but Is the best taste of Blue Berry Haze of all Amsterdam... The team is very gentle and kind but most important is professional... I go to CoffeeShop Funky Munkey of 3 almost 4 years most of the time i buy Blue Berry Haze but not becouse the resto not is good no no Is onli becouse Is the best Blue Berry taste i never try before but also the resto of the product Is of High quality weeda i very raccomandet this CoffeeShop for all the people that like smoke good quality weeda and not spend many € for low quality weeda or hash, the Coffee shop Funky Munkey have also good relax area where you can play cards, drink something cold or hot in case Is winter time like now😉... Have also internet connections not very fast but Is okay for Watch a movie or video on your PC or tablet. I very raccomandet this CoffeeShop go and try guys and later you never go somewhere alse😅👍🤟

Stop the nonsense and come here, you won't regret it. Definitely the best coffeeshop in all of Amsterdam!!!! Quiet and cozy atmosphere. A perfect variety of fumeteo paired with a delicious coffee. Although without a doubt what we love the most is the people who work here (Daniel, Danny, Ceram, Josip and Gabriëlla) they make an already sublime experience become an excellent one.

Employers are very kind, the location is on the first canals, couches are very comfortable and it has a pool table and a big chess table. Also the music is so awesome. Prices are good too.

Really chilled place, great staff, coffee isn't the best, but take a table near the window in summer and it's so nice watching over the river 😍 I can't remember who made it, the second time I came I got orange juice instead 🤣. Will return, whether great coffee, or not 😍

Went here multiple time a day on our 4 day trip to Amsterdam. It a perfect location right in between everything really good access to other parts of the city , service was always 100% will definitely be back!

Great peaceful coffeeshop. The chess table was fun. Friendly staff and a warm atmosphere by the river made it a perfect spot to relax and recharge. Highly recommended!

Friendly and chill place with a memorable chess set faced to the canal. Prices are reasonable, the vibe is local rather than touristic, and the cannabis is was sold to me not in whole buds, but still tasty and decent. Coffee needs work though. Try blueberry haze for a smooth taste and mid high. Strains' THC content is unfortunately unknown and not advertised.
