Enjoyed a delicious drink with colleagues, accompanied by snacks. The bartender was friendly and welcoming.

A pleasant cafe, a little too cramped. The coffee is bad, and the waiter tries in every way to charge in cash and then does not issue a bill.

The lady that works there was super cool and helpful, and the atmosphere in the caffe is pretty chill.

It's a beautiful place and the staff are very kind and friendly.

I came here with my cousin and we ordered a Virgin Pornstar (a non-alcoholic cocktail/mocktail). It was actually pretty good. The lady at the bar can be a bit rough, though, but if you’ve got a good sense of humor, you’ll be fine — just don’t insist too much on making sure there’s no alcohol in your drink. ;-D

The lady at the bar doesn’t make coffee in the evening, we ordered beers and contains, but my girlfriend wasn’t allowed to enter with a waffle (she doesn’t drink alcohol), the price for two non alcoholic drinks cocktails and two beers is 40 eur. Thank you, NEVER AGAIN.

No prices on the menu – no order from me. The waitress was visibly offended after I said I didn't want anything.

My experience at this bar was truly one of the most unforgettable moments of my trip to Amsterdam. The service was outstanding, the prices were very reasonable, and the location is perfect with a beautiful view that adds a special charm to the atmosphere. Even though Adele was working alone that day, she never kept us waiting. She was attentive, friendly, and incredibly hospitable. She didn’t miss a single detail, and thanks to her warm energy and kindness, we ended up staying for three hours without ever feeling bored. I’ll be coming back every day while I’m in Amsterdam — and for sure, every time I return to this city, I’ll be back to see her again. Thank you, Adele, for everything!

The location is beautiful and the waitress was friendly. The older woman behind the bar was just very rude and made passive aggressive comments.

Waitresses unpleasant and perched as possible, when paying she repeats that they do not accept only “debit” cards and not credit cards even though there is a “preferred cash” sign and a payment terminal underneath. Tells me that it's the rule that I have to pay in cash even though I saw someone pay by card before me. When she sees that we do not intend to withdraw but rather to find another solution, she asks us for the credit card and places it on the terminal to pay the amount. All this cinema for nothing.

Had a great evening there! Can't understand the bad reviews. A little quieter than in the alleys where the crowds push through. Card payment was possible without any problems. The waitress was also friendly and attentive despite the many guests!

Very unfriendly service, no Dutch speaking. A lot of hassle surrounding toilet visits, 1 drink per person. Good food/drinks.

They dont allow u to sit if u dont wanna drink. My parents were drinking and i didnt wanna drink something but they forced me to drink to sit here w my parents. This is absouloutly ridiclous. And funny. Dont come here if u arent alcholic (!)

Strawberry daiquiri best in Amsterdam 100% and Adele also provides great service with a smile and has perfect English, sport on also will visit again for sure.

Friendliest smoke friendly bar in Amsterdam. I love this place. The location is incredible. The prices are fair. The bartender is super friendly, and makes a great cappuccino. They only have bar snacks, but I didn't come here to eat. 🫰🏽🤏🏿😗💨

We visited The Old Church Bar and Lounge twice during our time in Amsterdam, and it quickly became a favorite. It’s a great spot to relax and people-watch. Adele, one of the bartenders, is an absolute gem—she’s fun, friendly, and made us feel right at home. If you’re looking for a laid-back place with good vibes, this is definitely worth a visit.

The overly friendly and very assertive waitress prepared us 2 Hugos whose price was not indicated on the menu and of course, as luck would have it, the card machine did not work. So imagine our astonishment when she invoices us verbally, without any receipt, the sum of €28 for the 2 glasses… Otherwise the drinks were good and it’s a nice terrace for a drink.

Cute restaurant, great location. I can’t thank enough our incredibly friendly and funny server Adele for the excellent service we got.

I HAVE NEVER felt so disrespected as a customer in my life. We arrived as a family around 8 PM. While my family ordered alcohol, I wanted to order a coffee or another hot drink due to health reasons. However, the waiter informed us that they could only sell hot drinks as part of a cocktail containing alcohol. Since there were no suitable options for me, they told me to leave if I didn't order a drink. Additionally, because the space was tiny, they repeatedly told us to squeeze closer to the table. This caused a beer to spill on my parents, and the staff didn't care. When they saw the situation, they just looked at us with pity and walked away. To make matters worse, they scammed us at the end by charging an extra 2 euros for no apparent reason. When I asked other customers, they said they hadn't been charged any extra. I'd ask the reason, however I didn't want to deal with them anymore. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

The Old Church Bar became our home away from home on our trip in April. We absolutely love Adéle and Selfie (so sorry if I misspelt), they take wonderful care of their guests and their bar. Cleanest bathrooms in Amsterdam iykyk. We went back every night and met the best vacation friends from all over the world that will never forget. It was my husband and my favorite trip we've ever taken, and Old Church Bar was 100% responsible for that. Absolutely make a stop at this bar on your trip, you won't regret it. We literally can't wait to get back.

After the underwhelming Old Church, we called in for a quick pint of Heineken. Intriguingly, they also offered a "large pint" - which I declined as you can only drink so much Heineken. Decent small bar.

The woman working was absolutely vile, so rude if I wasn't on a hen-do, I would have been very rude back. It was all over a drink that was 13 euros on the menu and she was charging me 14. Fine whatever. Said because I questioned this, to my friend ‘it’s ok Some people have a bad attitude.’ Absolutely no people skills, stood staring at me while I was with my friends and then refused my friend a hot drink because it was passed a certain time. Charged my friend for an alcoholic drink even though it wasn't an alcoholic drink. She started shouting at me in the street, although I had not said anything, She's an absolute embarrassment- she's got short dark hair avoid her at all costs and her disgusting demeanour. Nice drink though

Cute little bar off the main streets, so quieter, great friendly staff, good outside location with heaters and blankets. Lovely beer and snacks 🍺 great place to watch the world go by.

So sorry to say,i dont recommend you guys to come here. Staffs are not well trained how to pour beer. More than 60% glass filled with beer foam. Staffs are having cigrate & its bad we face all these sitting beside the door, cigrate air , less proffesionalism . So rude staffs & they dont explain properly when they are doing anything wrong. So think before you go.

Super freundliches Personal, tolles Ambiente und der beste Glühwein in Amsterdam. Nach Wunsch gab's den auch mit Rum. Drinnen läuft, nicht zu late und tolle Musik. Wurde auch gleich an sämtliche Freunde weiter geleitet. Wirklich sehr zu empfehlen. 👍

Heerlijk tentje! Gezellig personeel, sfeervol, lekkere drankjes met een oeie prijs en lekkere muziek. Zeker een keer komen dus!

Locatie is top, Personeel is uitermate attent en vriendelijk, alleen de prijs is wat aan de hoge kant: €12,50 voor een Mojito vind ik behoorlijk.

One of the oldest. The Coffeeshop has moved few blocks away but this is the bar. Smokers friendly, Good drinks and cocktails, really profesional and nice staff.

Gisteren op het terras gezeten met 7 maten. Prima onder de heaters. Genieten van het samenzijn. Aardig personeel.

Après plusieurs visites à Amsterdam, c'est définitivement le lieu que je préfère. Le personnel est très serviable, aimable, et prêt à nous conseiller. Les boissons sont de bonne qualité, la musique est parfaite, et la vue sur l'église sublime le tout. À faire et à refaire, je reviendrai c'est certain !

Leuk klein café. Wordt heel vriendelijk geholpen. Past echt in het beeld van de binnenstad. Zit in een historisch gedeelte van de stad. Dicht bij de wallen en de beruchtste straat van Amsterdam de Warmoesstraat.

We hebben er heerlijk gedronken. Super gezellige gastvrouw en super rook vriendelijk terras. Het eten bij de buurman is overigens ook zeer aan te raden!
