Crepes & Waffles - Freshly Baked in Burgwallen-Oude Zijde

I went to this place with my family to try dutch waffles. We got 3 sweet waffles and 1 savory crepe - paid more than 50€ included drinks. Unfortunately I am deeply disappointed - all three waffles were undercooked, wet inside and spongy. It's difficult for me to understand how it's possible that a place specialized in this kind of food is not able to deliver cooked and crispy waffles... In addition to that, the whipped cream was not "real" but spray... Wait, what??? That's unacceptable really!!! The crepe was the only good thing there, the girl serving us very nice, but it's not enough to recommend this place - 50€ it's a lot of money for a dessert- I based my choice on Google reviews which in general are good, so maybe we were just unfortunate... Or the girl serving us just started her job and was learning how to cook.

€7.50 for a Nutella crepe... at that price I was expecting something really good, knowing that the design on the cards was different from the one actually on the plate. But in the end, a banal crepe... at an exorbitant price!

Delicious and delicious taste, a diverse selection, and toppings tailored to your taste. There is a Palestinian worker who speaks Arabic and explains the menu to you. An excellent experience, I recommend it. Prices range from 7 euros and up.

Stumbled upon this place a couple of weeks back on a short trip to Amsterdam. Everything was super fresh even for as late at night when we visited (12am) Everything was cooked fresh... After telling staff about my partners nut allergy they took it very serious and checked all ingredients that she had ordered. We loved it that much we went back the day after! Amazing stroopwafel and even had a Stroopwafel ice cream 🙌🏻

The best stroopwaffle I've even eaten!

Open late and absolutely worth the stop if you’re craving something warm and indulgent after a long evening out. Their fresh, made-to-order stroopwafels are the highlight, mine was loaded with chocolate and Kinder white chocolate and still gooey in the best way when I bit in. It’s a small, colorful spot with friendly service and a solid menu of sweet options. Great for a late-night sugar fix just steps from the buzz of De Wallen.

Truly horrible, the waffle is soggy, it must have been on the counter for several days. Everything on top is also soggy, even though it should be crispy. Paying this price disgusted us. It's not even worth 1 star.

There were four of us in the store because a friend wanted to buy something. When asked if we wanted something too, I said the prices were too high. When they then asked us rudely what we "even want here," I firmly replied: "We're waiting for our friend." I then left the store – then the lady said, "If she comes in again, I'll kill her." The bottom line: exorbitant prices, no price transparency, and a lady who insults and threatens customers. A store best avoided – both on principle and for safety reasons.

Nice staff, tasty but Nutella sauce was diluted

The waffles were freshly made, with lots of toppings to choose from, including some without chocolate. The price was OK :) We enjoyed them 😉

The service here was fantastic. The worker took our order quickly, got us our food fast, and was very friendly. The atmosphere was not bad either. It was a little expensive to add toppings to the crepe, but overall I still loved the place. The waffle and the crepes were great. I’d definitely come back.

If you want freshly made waffles, DO NOT come here. Before ordering, we asked if they made them fresh. They told us they did, and then they took them out of a box and put them in the machine. A complete rip-off! We should have left. So, I don't recommend it at all. They were reheated supermarket waffles.

Delicious crepes and waffles! Maybe an idea to place something like a QR code at the tables? At first it was not clear to us how the 'order process' went (first ordering at the counter, then sitting at a table). Despite this, great place, would go there again!

Warning! I worked at Crepes & Waffles and I want to warn people about serious hygiene and food quality issues. I saw moldy strawberries being used instead of thrown away—staff was told to just cover them with more topping so customers wouldn’t notice. Expired ham, which looked and smelled bad, was still served to guests. The restaurant claims that everything is freshly made, but that’s not true. Waffles that weren’t sold were reheated and served for days. The crepe batter was also not fresh—old batter was mixed with new, making it impossible to maintain any real freshness. The prices are high, but the food doesn’t match the value—it’s often stale, low-quality, or even spoiled. I genuinely believe eating here is risky and could lead to food poisoning or other illnesses. I strongly do not recommend it!

honestly very mediocre, waffle was undercooked dough in the middle. not crispy, but at the end of the day sugary dough is sugary dough. if that’s what you like this will live up to your expectations 🐦‍⬛

I asked for crepes with orea and they me a crepe ( that's taste disguesting) with orea bisquits inside. No other thing only two bisquits.

We came as a family twice during our 3 day stay. The staff is very pleasant and their menus are very good with the possibility of personalizing your crepe, waffle and stroppwaffel. I recommend!

This might not be the first place that comes to mind for a stroopwafel, but it’s easily the best one I’ve had in the area. Made fresh on the spot, it’s perfectly cooked with just the right texture. For an extra treat, add a scoop of ice cream—it takes it to the next level. If you're in the area and craving something sweet, this is definitely worth a stop!

Prices like in the center of Amsterdam, unfortunately. But the taste is very good and fresh - I tried a savory pancake, a sweet waffle and a sweet pancake - everything was absolutely fine. For €9 it's definitely better to eat here than a stroopwafel.

Great place to eat waffles or stroopwafels, even late at night! The pastries are made in front of us and are very good. I recommend this address compared to other stores in the area offering pre-prepared waffles that remain behind the glass for several days...

It was good, but we ate on site and we were served in cardboard boxes, while the customers behind us were entitled to plates, it may be a detail, but an important detail.

The waffles are amazing. Are freshly prepared. Couldn't get enough of it. The staff is very friendly, but self-service, therefore only 2 stars. The restaurant has about 12 tables, is nicely decorated - 70s, and the toilets are clean. Price performance is absolutely fine. A must when visiting Amsterdam ;-)

We were a group of seven girls and with the way everything looked, we didn't know what to choose. Well, they were very kind, attentive and patient. They informed us of everything without problem and with their best smile. We will return everything is delicious!! They give you the topins you want without problem. Very attentive.
