Friendly staff. A wide selection of waffles, crepes, and ice cream in cups or cones. Cleanliness was good 👍 Close to Chinatown and the Red Light District. Ideal for a quick snack. Accessible for people with reduced mobility. Stairs present.

We went for crepes during our visit to Amsterdam. The crepe was tasty, but nothing to write home about. In terms of value for money, I'd say it's expensive, since just the base (without anything else) costs €6, and then you have to add more depending on what you put on it (Nutella, toppings, etc.), and it keeps adding up until the end comes to at least €8 for the crepe! The place is quiet, you can sit down, and it's nice that there are power outlets in the back area for charging your phone.

Funky Monkey is delicious. Very friendly service. They recognized me when I enjoyed another Monkey three days later.

The best Stroopwaffles in Amsterdam ❤️

We got a waffle with brownie pieces and chocolate sauce and a crepe with bacon and lemon, a strawberry milkshake and a chocomel. The waffle and crepe came fresh and hot they were cooked perfectly and you get a good amount of each topping which were also really nice! The milkshake was made with the ice cream so it's a proper good milkshake. The prices were really reasonable and there are loads of options to customise your waffles, crepes or stroopwaffles however you want! The lady serving us was really nice and brought our food to the table for us, she was super quick too.

Had the cookie monster again! It was delicious as always and the sprinkles on top from Eleni made it feel more special. Thank you for always having the most welcoming atmosphere❤️! Eleni and Fransesca the best duo with their smiles and skill in finding the best combos everytime. Always a good conversation with those two there. Fresh waffles which I think are made on the spot, which is seemingly hard to find. It was softer than I expected on the outside, but delicious as a snack exploring Amaterdam in a slightly chaotic part of the city. Toilets onside and there's air con!

Extremely mediocre. Very little Nutella. Definitely not worth going there. The prices aren't reasonable either.

Unfortunately, the service was really disappointing. Even though the coffee and waffles were tasty, I really didn’t like the attitude of the staff. We ordered waffles and coffee together, but they brought the coffee first and then the waffles almost 15 minutes later. By the time the waffles arrived, the coffee was already cold. When I politely asked if they could replace the coffee, they brought the manager, who told me it was my fault because I “should have said from the beginning” that I wanted them served together. In my opinion, no café is worth making customers leave unhappy over something this small.

Unfortunately the waffle was way too sweet - drenched in syrup, really thick chocolate sauce, dry cookies/brownies. Would not recommend. We also got the mushroom crepe which was nice. Staff were friendly.

So happy to have stumbled upon this place while visiting Amsterdam! I got a Stroopwaffle with Beuno Sauce - delicious! They are served still warm. You can add whatever you want - sweet or savoury - to waffles and crepes as well. Decently priced, 6€ for the item and you pay additional euros for toppings/fillings. The staff were lovely and friendly too.

The waffles were very average and quite overpriced for the quality. I wouldn’t come back again. It’s an okay place only if you’re really hungry, but I wouldn’t specifically stop here just to try the waffles. This was actually the worst waffle I've ever tasted.

The average waffle place doesn't make fresh batter; they use pre-made batter that's heated up and served. There are better ones in Kayseri.

Crazy Strawberry Waffle - A delicious combination. The white chocolate and sauce are perfect. A touch of strawberry makes it more refreshing. Cookie Monster Stroopwafel - Thinner with two layers of filling (not as amazing).

I had a Stroopwafle (with rum raisin jam), an Ice Baby ice cream, and black coffee. The gentle sweetness was soothing to my tired body. It was nice to be able to sit down and eat it fresh from the oven. It was very delicious.

I visited here 14 years ago over and over and so happy to say it’s still delicious! Super fresh ingredients and love how you can watch it cooked for you right on the spot. Honestly way better than our hotel breakfast and half the price.

Ypu can legitimately get a freshly baked stroopwafel here! Other places claim they serve freshed baked stroopwafel and give you cold one but this place they make it on order. Just tried the classic one and it was yummy!

The waffles are delicious because they are fresh and hot. Of course, without any additives, you'll enjoy the original, healthy taste.

Location is off the main road but we managed to find it. We had the Funky Monkey waffle. A tad disappointed the waffle texture which was thin and chewy. And it was drizzled with too much sauce that it was overly sweet. There was no complimentary water provided. I would say this is one of the occasions when Google reviews didn't live up to expectation

Stopped by Crepes & Waffles in Amsterdam and had an amazing experience! The crepe and strawberry cup were delicious and the fruits very fresh. We also tried a cake, but unfortunately it wasn’t worth the price. Aside from that, the waffles and fruit cup were great—highly recommend this cozy spot

We shared a waffle between two people. It was enough. It tasted good. The service was good. I just thought the price was a bit high.

The waffle was delicious. We got it with nutella, banana, Oreo cookie with white chocolate sauce. It was 10.10 Euro. We split the waffle into 2 and it filled us. The prices are not updated in their website however the prices are not that off. The only thing I can complain was the price however it was still a good place and I would recommend it.

My most absolute favorite crepe place! Every time I come to Amsterdam I must visit there. The staff are amazing, they are so nice and helpful. The music is just great, the sitting area is always neat and welcoming, and the vibe overall is amazing- especially for a crowded street in the center of Amsterdam, which can be quite overwhelming. Will revisit for sure, and recommend for everyone to also enjoy this gem. P.S. Don't miss the crazy strawberry with extra banana, it is indeed a crazy one!!!

I went to this place with my family to try dutch waffles. We got 3 sweet waffles and 1 savory crepe - paid more than 50€ included drinks. Unfortunately I am deeply disappointed - all three waffles were undercooked, wet inside and spongy. It's difficult for me to understand how it's possible that a place specialized in this kind of food is not able to deliver cooked and crispy waffles... In addition to that, the whipped cream was not "real" but spray... Wait, what??? That's unacceptable really!!! The crepe was the only good thing there, the girl serving us very nice, but it's not enough to recommend this place - 50€ it's a lot of money for a dessert- I based my choice on Google reviews which in general are good, so maybe we were just unfortunate... Or the girl serving us just started her job and was learning how to cook.
