One of the worst experiences I had in Amsterdam. Attendants didn't speak English, kept talking on the phone and yelling which kills the ambience, delivered 2 different plates for the same order, told us there were no pancakes left and gave mushrooms (??) instead without asking if I even liked it, which I don't and I just wanted pancakes. I came to the pancake house afterall. Milkshake is just plain warm milk with a bit of icecream, it's completely liquid, just milk. Worst food and very expansive for what it delivers. Very disappointing.

Vine aquí con mi mamá y mi hermano en nuestro camino a visitar la casa de Ann Franks. No hay clientes dentro, parecía bastante deteriorado. Recibido por un miembro masculino del personal que era amable y eficiente. Teníamos el jamón y queso tostado que era bastante promedio pero a un precio justo. Crepé con fresas, nutella y plátano se veía y sabía muy bien. Recomendaría probar los mini panqueques (pottertjes). La comida fue servida por un hombre muy gruñón que claramente no nos quería allí.

Our family of 10 came into this very cute pancake restaurant and had a great meal! A little pricey but they made it right in front of us and it was tasty! Also , they have 2 toilets to handle a big crowd. Would return!

This is a very bad service, and a man who wants a piece of pancake and a cup of coffee for 25 euros, and when we asked for a copy of the bill, he refused, claiming that the printer was not working, and he also forces to pay the ladies 2 euros to go to the toilet.

Really nice food and place to stop. I really don't understand some of the other reviews either, 4/5 stars but everything was excellent or 3/5 because coffee came out slightly quicker than cooked food. Staff were friendly, food was well priced and I would highly recommend ignoring other negative reviews and trying it for yourself.

Il titolo dice tutto. In 3 abbiamo speso 50 euro per fare COLAZIONE con una crèpe (che loro chiamano pancake per qualche motivo) con 1 singola pallina di gelato chimico alla vaniglia e un pochettino di panna spray.

We ordered two pancakes One was chicken and cheese and other one was nutela, banana and vanila ice cream. Chicken and cheese weren’t the expecting. We didn’t like it too much. Pancakes were very thin, like a crepe. Very expensive for what it is.

Tosties were as good as most other places we have tried in Amsterdam with the difference that here they are super affordable! Panini was also very affordable and was okay. We also loved the poffertjes, they were not too sweet but there was powdered sugar in the table if needed so then they were perfect for us Service was great, the guy there was super attentive and nice

Terrible for food, you hardly got anything in a full English! My friend had a chicken and bacon pancake and they used the kind of flat chicken you put on your ham sandwich! Don't recommend at all for the price. He even had the nerve to ask for a tip!

With a friend, we wanted to have a Nutella and strawberry crepe, which cost €12.5, a relatively high price for a crepe made of flour and milk. We ordered, and received our coffee 10 minutes before our crepes, so we didn't get the pleasure of enjoying the coffee while eating the crepe. Then the crepe arrived, and it had almost no Nutella on it, with just two strawberries cut into eight pieces. It's very expensive for such little topping. We were there during Amsterdam Pride, and this "restaurant" was charging €5 to use the bathroom, the highest price I’ve ever seen for that service. Many customers were shocked, and I felt like I was dining in a place solely focused on making money and ripping off tourists. Everything was cheap with high prices. When it was time to pay, the waitress told us the card machine was broken. We told her that they should have informed us before we ordered, especially since the window still had stickers indicating all the payment options. We mentioned that we only had a card and that in the Netherlands, it's always very easy to pay by card. We asked to test the payment terminal. We went over, confident it would work and that they were just trying to get cash. We paid on the first attempt. They are thieves. The food wasn't very good, and the atmosphere, where the only goal seemed to be making money rather than providing a service, left a bad impression. I also sensed racism when she told me (since I am a French speaker) that we weren't in Paris or Brussels and that this was how things were done in Amsterdam. I disagree because Amsterdam has many great places with quality products and generous staff. This place was the complete opposite, and I am outraged and would not recommend it.

Chicken pancakes you normally expect real chicken not processed chicken breast, and charge 10 euros for 2.5 thin slices.... Not even 2 slices of cheese complete

My partners Dutch pancake was good, however they messed up my order and gave me fried eggs instead of scrambled. When I asked them for scrambled eggs they just took the plate and chopped up the eggs and gave it back to me. The rest of my food was not very good either.

Basically everything was ok. The pancakes are decent at €12.50 for 5 pieces of strawberry and some cream. The service was emotionless, but quick and decent. The food also came in a reasonable time. But being close to the city center you always feel the tourist factor: “We won’t be coming back anyway.”

As soon as you enter, you are transported into an atmosphere that is pleasant. The decor is reminiscent of New York restaurants. The nutella blinis are delicious. Coffee with cream, although hot, is perfect to start a day. The welcome and service are top notch 👌 I loved having breakfast there. It’s a shame I couldn’t stay there longer!

Wonderful food made on a very interesting counter, if you want to follow the preparation of the pancakes and the skill of the chef. Realize that it is done with emotion, and there is no way to go wrong when you feel the person's affection for serving. Very tasty and well served dishes, you won't leave hungry. Fair price, and the friendliness of the attendant, making him comfortable due to the language issue, he managed to communicate very well in Portuguese. Charged 5 euro to use the restroom although we purchased a soda.

Stopped here as it was late and we didn’t want a heavy meal. So glad we did! It’s a lovely little pancake house, simple ingredients but very tasty and served by a lovely, friendly host. The wall mural is fascinating - so much detail, you could spend hours looking at it and still find more detail. All aspects of Amsterdam, old and new. So glad we popped in here 🥰

The crêpe is acceptable, although the dough was a little tasteless. The cafe latte was terrible and it was burning like volcano lava. The site is ok. The attention has been good.

I always go there for pancakes when I'm in Amsterdam. A bit expandable, but there is a large, delicious selection of pancakes in sweet and savory, as well as many different drinks. The large mural in the Delft porcelain style alone is worth the visit.

Wir waren am 03. Januar da während des Besuchs vom Anne Frank-Haus durch unsere Tochter. Wir wurden herzlich umsorgt und auch unser kleiner Toffy-Hund durfte, obwohl es sehr gut besucht war, mit rein. Die neue Service-Kraft mit deutschen Wurzeln war sehr freundlich, die herzhaften und süßen Pancakes haben sehr gut geschmeckt.

While being out of the rain the service was lacking ( removed from my table, I asked to sit there, then served with no utensils which I had to request) and after you eat you have to pay to use the restroom. In my opinion you get better service in an American ghetto. The staff was friendly enough but this place needs a makeover badly.

Pancakes that are worth a trans-Atlantic trip.

DO NOT COME. We ordered a bacon apple pancake here. The amount of apple and bacon on the pancake was stingy compared to the others we had. We found a bright neon sticker on our apple and called the guy over to inform him. He grabbed the apple slice with his bare fingers and took out the sticker, insisting it was “normal” 🤡 and put the apple back on our plate. We were confused if we were supposed to continue eating after that, and he VERY RUDELY GRABBED the cutlery out of our hands and put it onto the plate to clear the food, rudely saying “if you dont want to eat it then dont” I have never had such an unpleasant/rude service before, not even a word of apology from the man. Do not patronise this stall!

Not recommended. The owner did not want to serve us because we only wanted to have hot chocolate, he demanded that we eat something. He kicked us out with bad manners.

El lugar es muy bonito, la comida es deliciosa y la atención de su propietario es amable y hablan varios idiomas. Recomiendo ampliamente y aunque estés a dieta que pruebes los tradicionales pancakes de Ámsterdam en este lugar.

Hele leuke en knusse tent om er te eten. Heerlijke pannekoeken. Vooral als je 1 van de specialiteiten probeert. Ik zeg tot de volgende keer.

Toevallig had ik met een vriendin boven deze winkel een kamer geboekt. Ik had al lang geen pannenkoeken meer gegeten en loop hier vaak langs. Wij besloten hier te gaan ontbijten. Een mooie zaak! Prachtige muurschilderingen, een goede kaart en heerlijk eten. Ik kreeg hier een appelpannenkoek met kaas en suiker. Een rare combinatie, ik weet het, maar ik heb het zelf bedacht en vind het heerlijk! Mijn tafelgenote een gewone pannenkoek met poedersuiker. De pannenkoeken waren groot, maar opvallend dun. Het at heerlijk weg, zonder een vol gevoel te hebben overgehouden. Ja, dit is een goede plek, zeker aan te raden.
