I came today, Saturday, May 16. The service was absolutely terrible. They didn’t take my order properly. There was no option to pay by card, and the employee was completely uninterested. I would never come back to this place.

I asked for scrambled eggs and this is what I got, they took their sweet time cooking my order even though there were like only 3 other people here. Tasted like oil :) very disgusting. Spend your money elsewhere.

Lovely fresh food, good size and pricing

So, it's good, but it's so expensive!!! For such classic dishes, it should be 30% cheaper, even in the city center. Or, they need to offer a more engaging experience, with more generous portions or more original flavors. There wasn't much else around, so we didn't look at the menu before going in, but I don't think I would have come if I had seen the prices beforehand.

The food is good, but the service leaves something to be desired. It has the potential to be better. The few people and a place to sit and shelter from the cold were what made it worthwhile :) and also a place to rest after wandering around the city.

This cute place was really close to our hotel, we come for the breakfast 3 of our 4 morning in Amsterdam, we really love the food here !

The pancake came out like a flat crêpe. The syrup tasted funny.

Unfortunately, breakfast wasn't very good. The cappuccino was mostly foam with very little cappuccino. The fried eggs were far too runny. The pancakes were dry. The mushrooms were unsalted. Instead of two slices of toast, you get one that's been cut in half. I wouldn't come back. The price is far too high for what you get.

Terrible. Don't come. I ordered some mini pancakes to go. I was waiting at the counter and the two waiters who served me were laughing. I didn't understand anything until I realized that what I had ordered was being preheated in a package and they didn't want me to see it. They were pre-cooked pancakes in a plastic bag from the supermarket. A rip-off, shameful. The quality was disgusting. 🤢 I threw my money away.

The crêpe was only cooked on one side and tasted sour. The horrible diarrhea that followed was already predictable while eating it.

It’s been a while since my last visit, so things may have changed, but back then the experience wasn’t great. Service felt off, the waitress went out of her way to aggressively point out that the plates were hot, which makes sense once you realize they actually heat the plates in the oven and seem to reheat the pancakes along with them. On top of that, they charged a €1 surcharge just for paying with a local debit card. That’s unheard of anywhere in the Netherlands and feels like a cheap trick aimed at unknowing travelers. The place itself sits right next to a hostel, and a lot of the crowd clearly wanders in straight from their rooms after a night out. Nothing wrong with that, but it does define the overall vibe and atmosphere.

We came across this place by chance, and since we hadn't yet tried the specialty of these little pancakes called "Poffertjes," we stopped in. The crêpes and pancakes were good. The prices for the crêpes were quite high for what they were.

One of the worst experiences I had in Amsterdam. Attendants didn't speak English, kept talking on the phone and yelling which kills the ambience, delivered 2 different plates for the same order, told us there were no pancakes left and gave mushrooms (??) instead without asking if I even liked it, which I don't and I just wanted pancakes. I came to the pancake house afterall. Milkshake is just plain warm milk with a bit of icecream, it's completely liquid, just milk. Worst food and very expansive for what it delivers. Very disappointing.

Vine aquí con mi mamá y mi hermano en nuestro camino a visitar la casa de Ann Franks. No hay clientes dentro, parecía bastante deteriorado. Recibido por un miembro masculino del personal que era amable y eficiente. Teníamos el jamón y queso tostado que era bastante promedio pero a un precio justo. Crepé con fresas, nutella y plátano se veía y sabía muy bien. Recomendaría probar los mini panqueques (pottertjes). La comida fue servida por un hombre muy gruñón que claramente no nos quería allí.

Our family of 10 came into this very cute pancake restaurant and had a great meal! A little pricey but they made it right in front of us and it was tasty! Also , they have 2 toilets to handle a big crowd. Would return!

This is a very bad service, and a man who wants a piece of pancake and a cup of coffee for 25 euros, and when we asked for a copy of the bill, he refused, claiming that the printer was not working, and he also forces to pay the ladies 2 euros to go to the toilet.

Really nice food and place to stop. I really don't understand some of the other reviews either, 4/5 stars but everything was excellent or 3/5 because coffee came out slightly quicker than cooked food. Staff were friendly, food was well priced and I would highly recommend ignoring other negative reviews and trying it for yourself.

We ordered two pancakes One was chicken and cheese and other one was nutela, banana and vanila ice cream. Chicken and cheese weren’t the expecting. We didn’t like it too much. Pancakes were very thin, like a crepe. Very expensive for what it is.

Tosties were as good as most other places we have tried in Amsterdam with the difference that here they are super affordable! Panini was also very affordable and was okay. We also loved the poffertjes, they were not too sweet but there was powdered sugar in the table if needed so then they were perfect for us Service was great, the guy there was super attentive and nice

Terrible for food, you hardly got anything in a full English! My friend had a chicken and bacon pancake and they used the kind of flat chicken you put on your ham sandwich! Don't recommend at all for the price. He even had the nerve to ask for a tip!

With a friend, we wanted to have a Nutella and strawberry crepe, which cost €12.5, a relatively high price for a crepe made of flour and milk. We ordered, and received our coffee 10 minutes before our crepes, so we didn't get the pleasure of enjoying the coffee while eating the crepe. Then the crepe arrived, and it had almost no Nutella on it, with just two strawberries cut into eight pieces. It's very expensive for such little topping. We were there during Amsterdam Pride, and this "restaurant" was charging €5 to use the bathroom, the highest price I’ve ever seen for that service. Many customers were shocked, and I felt like I was dining in a place solely focused on making money and ripping off tourists. Everything was cheap with high prices. When it was time to pay, the waitress told us the card machine was broken. We told her that they should have informed us before we ordered, especially since the window still had stickers indicating all the payment options. We mentioned that we only had a card and that in the Netherlands, it's always very easy to pay by card. We asked to test the payment terminal. We went over, confident it would work and that they were just trying to get cash. We paid on the first attempt. They are thieves. The food wasn't very good, and the atmosphere, where the only goal seemed to be making money rather than providing a service, left a bad impression. I also sensed racism when she told me (since I am a French speaker) that we weren't in Paris or Brussels and that this was how things were done in Amsterdam. I disagree because Amsterdam has many great places with quality products and generous staff. This place was the complete opposite, and I am outraged and would not recommend it.

Chicken pancakes you normally expect real chicken not processed chicken breast, and charge 10 euros for 2.5 thin slices.... Not even 2 slices of cheese complete

My partners Dutch pancake was good, however they messed up my order and gave me fried eggs instead of scrambled. When I asked them for scrambled eggs they just took the plate and chopped up the eggs and gave it back to me. The rest of my food was not very good either.

Basically everything was ok. The pancakes are decent at €12.50 for 5 pieces of strawberry and some cream. The service was emotionless, but quick and decent. The food also came in a reasonable time. But being close to the city center you always feel the tourist factor: “We won’t be coming back anyway.”

As soon as you enter, you are transported into an atmosphere that is pleasant. The decor is reminiscent of New York restaurants. The nutella blinis are delicious. Coffee with cream, although hot, is perfect to start a day. The welcome and service are top notch 👌 I loved having breakfast there. It’s a shame I couldn’t stay there longer!

Wonderful food made on a very interesting counter, if you want to follow the preparation of the pancakes and the skill of the chef. Realize that it is done with emotion, and there is no way to go wrong when you feel the person's affection for serving. Very tasty and well served dishes, you won't leave hungry. Fair price, and the friendliness of the attendant, making him comfortable due to the language issue, he managed to communicate very well in Portuguese.
