Pancakes were great and the service was even better. Love the guys that work there. They don't have waffles anymore so don't expect those!

Good pancake, but I asked for an extra plate to share and the older man working here said "no, you can use the one you got". Which is fair I guess haha, but he could've explained why, or smiled at least, idunno 😆

During our week-long stay in Amsterdam, we were at this place for breakfast probably 4x 😋😋😋😋 it was delicious and very nice. The service as well as the atmosphere in this place wonderful. Thank you. Definitely when we go again this will be our regular breakfast spot

staff were super funny and friendly, it’s a small space but the pancakes are amazing! lots of flavours and combos to choose from but we did the apple and cinnamon chefs choice and it did not disappoint!

The Dutch pancakes are delicious and homemade. The staff is attentive and very friendly!

Unfortunately, it was a disappointment... I chose this place because of its gluten-free offerings. I had to wait over 20 minutes for my pancake with apple and cinnamon filling and maple syrup. The service wasn't particularly friendly and seemed stressed. The pancake wasn't what I expected, both visually and taste-wise. The price (€11.70) for the above-mentioned pancake was completely overpriced for what you get. The atmosphere was bland and uninviting. I definitely won't be back!

We have been here many times on our trips to Amsterdam! It's always brilliant and the variety of flavours is just perfect! Looking forward to my next visit

For the vegan option, they had one with chili (like chili sin carne with kidney beans) and the pancake itself was tasty and the chili was alright but I’m not sure if they go well together. I will try the sweet ones next time! Small place without many seats.

Delicious Dutch style pancakes, the service was great. We ordered a sweet pancake: apple with caramel and it was not too sweet. We also ordered a savory pancake: with Gouda, bacon, and onion chutney and it was amazing. Both were so good. The coffee and matcha were tasty as well.

If you like pancakes, you won't go wrong here. If you want to try something original, go the next place. Unfortunately, I have to confirm the comments about the unpleasant service, I also had the feeling that they would rather I left as soon as possible... Edit: Thank you for your response, I completely understand, I'll just add that I was the only customer in your establishment for 2/3 of the timeI spent there (I came about half an hour after opening hours), and I got up with the last sip of coffee :)

These pancakes were just delicious and so fresh the strawberry's & chocolate on them made so much tasty 🤤 I would highly recommend these pancakes 🥞

A must in Amsterdam, a little hidden but great

Really great spot for traditional Amsterdam pancakes with an awesome vegan option. I had the one with warm bananas and syrup — simple but delicious. The fresh-squeezed OJ was also perfect. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Whether you’re vegan or not, definitely worth a stop while you’re in town.

A little walk out of town down a quiet street out of the hustle and bustle and absolutely worth the walk. We had traditional savoury and sweet mini and they were all amazing. Highly recommended 😍 The chai latte is also VERY good.

Nice people, nice food and you can order vegan pancake's. Sooo delicious. Also they have oat milk, soy milk and almond milk for coffee. Unfortunately if you like to order savoury pancakes there's no vegan option.

Expensive and only for tourists. No one speaks Dutch. As an original Amsterdammer, I won't set foot in here again.

The mini pancakes are good, but definitely not worth the price. You'll have to pay around €8 just for a few mini pancakes with a basic sauce on top. Honestly, very expensive.

Absolutely delicious pancakes. Loads of toppings to choose from and it’s made in a tray you can easily carry around. Or sit out side on the two benches provided.

Yum! Ordered one sweet and one savory pancake. The strawberry filling is a bit sweet for my taste, but the lemon and sugar topping cut the sweetness nicely.

Things that could be changed!: Maybe add an AC cause it was very hot in the shop and also add a no smoking directly outside the shop because it smelled like smoke anytime you went close to the window.

If you’re Gluten Intolerant, I suggest you go to “Pancake Amsterdam,” just up a couple blocks. The Happy Pig Pancake Shop use Gluten Free Buckwheat and do the best they can to not transfer it over, but, when the cranky chef made a mistake using the flour batter, and had to make mine again using GF flour, he hid and covered the entire pancake in crispy onions (a fried onion covered in flour). The first mistaken pancake brought out had none of these crispy onions. It’s one thing to make a mistake. It’s entirely different to sabotage someone’s allergy. If I am mistaken, and the ingredients for this dish includes crispy onions, I would like to recommend to that the menu be updated to show this, or at the very least, the chef to ask the question “If the pancake batter choice is gluten free, would you like me to remove the other ingredients with gluten in the dish?” Since I, the customer, have no idea how the dish is truly prepared other than what’s listed on the menu. 2 stars for lack of attention to details. However, if you the potential customer are not gluten intolerant, feel free to enjoy the amazing pancakes. Yummy savory and sweet options.

Happy that this organic Dutch pancake speciality shop had vegan options and the possibility to customise using the Build Your Own Pancake order! Dutch pancakes are different from American ones in that the former are thinner with slightly crispy edges. There was a vegan pancake available made using flour, as well as a vegan and gluten-free pancake made using buckwheat for a healthier take (and slightly nutty fragrance). Vegan options for the toppings included cinnamon-spiced apple filling, chocolate hazelnut sauce, vegan whipped cream, and strawberry or fig jam. I don't have a very sweet tooth so I didn't particularly love this, but was pleased to try a vegan version of this traditional Dutch snack nonetheless! Hope the savoury vegan options can be expanded with some plant-based substitutes too. Would be good to have a non-disposable container for dining-in as well. Located near De 9 Straatjes, Begijnhof, etc.

I spent most of our week in Amsterdam trying to track down vegan pancakes and was so happy to have found The Happy Pig on our very last morning. Another very small place down a side street with limited seating but we were lucky to get there as someone else was leaving. I had the vegan pancakes with apple & cinnamon, toasted flaked almonds, maple syrup and vegan whipped cream. It was so good, such a treat! My sister had a regular pancake with cheese and ham. We both had fresh orange juice which was delicious. The chap who served me was very friendly and the pancakes arrived quickly.

Delicous little pancake/ waffle restaraunt. We had a pa cake with the apple and whopped cream,.and a waffle with fresh Strawberries and whipped cream. Both were delicous. Staff are very friendly.

Walked in excited as they had good vegan/veg options but unfortunately the staff was very unwelcoming and seemed like they did not want to serve us. Seemed like they were doing us a favor by answering our questions..don't recommend if you're looking for a pleasant experience.
