👥️ Staff → They were friendly, respectful, and helpful with guidance. They don’t rush you when making a decision about the menu. 🌯 Food → The food was delicious and served in large portions. Considering both the quantity and quality, the price was very reasonable. I also liked the taste of the sauce. Lastly, I want to mention that all the food was halal. ⛺️ Location → It has a nice atmosphere with enough seating to sit and decide comfortably.

Great for a meal while walking around touristing, affordable and the food is so tasty. The restaurant is one of the cleanest of amsterdam, friendly and hard working staff. I will 100% come back when I come to the city again.

This was one of the few places open late at night, which was a real lifesaver. We ordered doner with ayran, and while it took a bit of time to prepare, the food was fresh and flavorful. The doner was a little on the oily side, so I wouldn’t call it the best I’ve had, but it was still very tasty and satisfying. In addition to shawarma, the menu offers a variety of other options that are worth trying. If you’re looking for a late-night bite with solid food and good portions, this spot is definitely worth a visit!

Fantastic halal food.. no doubt

Scammed today. Was not much hungry, just wanted to have little rice with curry. Friendly guy, packed for me, back to hotel room , found no curry with rice . Not okay!

Calm and relaxing atmosphere with a jovial and smiling welcome. The Falafels are excellent, the kebab lacks a little spice for my taste. The hummus is excellent and the bread warm and delicious. The quality/price ratio is good, we do not regret having stopped by, and we say to ourselves that we would come back without hesitation.

I used to like coming here because the food was really good and the service was fantastic. But this time the quality of the food seemed to have deteriorated. I had the shaslick with rice and my table companions had a chicken sandwich and shawarma with rice. The meat was good, although it could have been a bit more seasoned, but nothing special. The rice tasted stale and really not good, as if it hadn't been washed properly. The fries were good. The service here is very friendly and good! All in all we were a bit disappointed because this restaurant really used to be better than most shawarma places and now it is equal to them in my opinion. I honestly don't think I'll eat here again.

I visited Crystal Restaurant during my last trip to Amsterdam, and their ribs were absolutely amazing! I highly recommend checking it out if you get the chance

LOVED the food and the staff were extremely nice. We were 2 person but one of us wasnt hungry to eat a whole meal. They let us share one meal and not leave any leftovers which was great. price was reasonable and the dips and sauces they provide is tasty

The best shawarma restaurant in Amsterdam. Chef Saeed has been known for a long time. The respected owner of the restaurant, Ansha, welcomes customers in a respectful manner and the food is really delicious

I ate here today Spaghetti with Meatballs, unfortunately it was a bit too spicy for me, but the Spaghetti was good and the meatballs were okay, but I forgot to tell them, the music is quite loud, it is still going, but when you go to the toilet it is even louder with a disco and the toilets are broken, otherwise the service is decent, the food is not disastrous, it is good but not top quality, but fresh of course and delicious.

Great service with friendly people, food is delicious and enough choices on the menu. You don't have to look any further for a tasty bite in the center of Amsterdam.

The worst restaurant I have ever been to in Amsterdam. Not only did it take them too long to serve us, but the waitress was extremely rude. Of all the dishes that appeared on the menu, he only told us that there were 3, when during the meal we kept seeing the rest of the dishes that he previously told us they didn't have go by. He yelled at us for not knowing what we would decide since the options we were going to order were not available. Finally we asked him to please separate the accounts and he scoffed saying that I am asking too much. I won't come back and if you're smart, don't do it either!

Food was looking great on the menu but was quite the disappointment when served… Plating and portions made no sense compared to what was expected, and the taste was quite bland and uninspired. Given the pricing, a much higher standard was expected. Definitely not worth the money.

We’ve ordered a T-bone steak cooked medium to well-done, steak was all raw, not even medium. Asked for Mix Grill Crystal special instead, but the chicken was fully raw there, still got charged for that. Bad experience.

Best food we’ve had in Amsterdam so far!

We as Turks/Muslims have never eaten spare ribs because they are made from pork... here you can just eat delicious spare ribs made from veal 🤩 super!!! Sayed grilled them deliciously and the ladies who serve you are sweethearts. Tent is bigger than you would think and everything looks very clean. Nice music in the background, absolutely great!

I had a terrible experience at Crystal Restaurant in Amsterdam. The waiter, with a ponytail, was rude and unprofessional. I overheard him in Arabic saying he wanted to kick my fiancé on his feet, which was shocking. When I confronted them, they didn’t apologize and told us to leave. On top of that, the food was awful. They claimed the meat was halal, but it tasted more like horse meat. The menu looked outdated and poorly designed. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The food was as bad as the service, and I won’t be coming back. One star is too generous.

Never ever go to this place , the place is run by some Syrians with horrible attitude,specially a waiter with a pony tail. The meat was horrible and smelled like horse shit, I had Syrian food from different countries and nothing like this horrible . There is nothing halal as they say . These guys talk about manhandling and terrorizing most of the times and specially about their customers they talk on their back while dining, thinking we don’t understand what they talking about . These guys should be reported to police .

They will serve you a small bottle of 25 to 33cl when you ask them for water, because they do not have jugs of water to provide. I don't know if it's typical of Amsterdam or specific to this brand, but it's a steal (the bill increases as a result). Otherwise everything is very good, the staff is friendly, the places are clean and the food is good.

Crystal is undoubtedly one of the best halal restaurants in Amsterdam. The food was absolutely delicious, featuring a flavorful Arabic menu that left us impressed. The customer service was excellent—attentive, friendly, and professional. The chef stood out with a warm and pleasant approach, making the experience even more memorable. Its convenient location in the heart of the city center makes it easily accessible. Overall, a fantastic dining experience, and I would highly recommend Crystal to anyone looking for great food and service.

We had the mixed grill with rice and shawarma pizza, all of them tasty. Portion for the mixed grill was a bit small compared to the menu.

We went there for a late dinner on Jan 3rd 2025. One of the waiters ( with a bonytail ) was really rude while serving us part of our food. He just dumped the Hummus plate on the side of the table and did not even bother to place it in front of us. Our waiter Ameer however was a real gentleman and professional. Overall, I would not recommend this place due to the previous waiter rude behavior. I mentioned this to Ameer any ways.

We traveled from Germany to Amsterdam and unfortunately chose this restaurant, assuming that friendliness and humanity would be a given here. We wanted to eat something and politely asked the waiters to reserve a table for two. Even though the table was free for 10 minutes, we were not informed that we could be seated. After a total of 25 minutes of waiting and another polite inquiry, a discussion ensued. The waiter finally replied to us in an arrogant tone and with a bitter expression: “We have a lot to do. You can sit down, but you are not allowed to speak to us for the next 30 minutes. We have enough to do... For us, this is a prime example of unfriendliness and disrespectful treatment of guests - at the highest level.

Passeggiando per le vie del centro ad Amsterdam ci siamo fermati per il pranzo in questo ristorante arabo con un menù molto assortito anche con pizze, pasta, zuppe e insalate. I piatti sono abbondanti e la qualità buona. Noi abbiamo puntato su falafel e hummus. Ovviamente niente alcolici.

Ordered a Napolitana pizza here and my friends ordered a shawarma dish. My friends all got their shawarma dish and my pizza never came, after asking for a while where the pizza was, they turned out to have forgotten it in the oven... Then they would make a new one and even have the wrong pizza in between. my friends finished all their food too. I indicated that this was the wrong pizza again and then they said that they did not have the ingredients... Then I ate the PESTO pizza that I received, which was also disgusting with extra cheese and very oily and greasy. . After paying I also saw that they had charged the price for pizza napolitana and not pizza pesto. What a non-observant bad thing will certainly discourage this.

I visited late on a Sunday night in mid-October 2024. There were few restaurants open late at night so I went to this place and it seemed to specialize in halal food. I ordered pizza and some grilled meat sets. Overall, the taste was ok and there wasn't much to like or dislike about it. But that's it. It's a place where anyone can easily eat late at night, but it's so delicious that it's not a place you'd go far to visit. It's a great place to go when restaurants nearby aren't open.

In the evening it's worth nothing, you only have to pee when you order fries and that also takes a long time. Fries are cheap and no good sauce.

This place was amazing and I will be returning when we come back to Amsterdam. They're reliable spot to be able to get some good kofte and kabob. Number 34 and 37 were our favorites and their coffee was amazing. All the staff were very friendly add informative, and the restaurant was open late for when you want to do a bar crawl afterwards.

Deze plek is je tijd niet waard, ik was een half uur aan het wachten op mijn geplaatst bestelling. Dit kwam echter niet, terwijl alle mensen die na mij binnen kwamen al aan het eten waren. Toen ik vroeg hoelang het nog zou duren, zeiden zij Oh sorry en staat helemaal geen bestelling van u in het systeem, ik zet het er nu wel in. Slaat echt nergens op want we hebben het direct aan de kassa besteld, toen wij binnen kwamen. Slechte service.

For me and my fiancé, it's a total 5 star review. Super friendly staff with great service and amazing pizzas, i guess thanks to the grill oven, the pizzas tasted like home! We got our food very quickly and will be sure to be back VERY soon!

This place is anything but halal. The atmosphere is like in a club, loud hip hop music with a sprinkle of swearing. The food was below average for the price. You cannot call that thing a shawarmoa. The mayo sauce was rotten, we had to stop eating to avoid a disaster. I do not understand what this restaurants cannot provide decent food for those exorbitant prices and a atmosphere where you can actually enjoy your food. Also be police with ppl, at the end of the day was your choice to work in this area, at least show some enthusiasm.

Decided to take away food. But last minute we wanted to sit inside, but were sent away because we said initially take away. We said we changed our mind and wanted to eat inside, the employee started to shout that we had to leave the restaurant. Besides that, food taste was average, wouldn't go back for the food quality neither the service.
