I recently had the opportunity to visit this establishment with some companions, and my experience was somewhat varied. While the food itself was quite palatable, I must note that the wait time for our grilled meat, a specialty of the restaurant, was unexpectedly long, despite the venue not appearing to be at full capacity. Furthermore, I found the pricing to be a bit disproportionate to the value received. For instance, two simple prawns, still with their whiskers, were priced at 10 euros, which I found rather steep. Similarly, a straightforward, albeit sour, beverage was 12.50 euros. Although I may consider returning in the future, it will likely not be in the immediate term.

Meat specialists. I tried the rib eye, and it was excellent. Their prices are very reasonable for the quality of what they serve.

This restaurant turned out to be a wonderful surprise. We tried the daily special, which included meat, salad, and fries/roasted potatoes. The meat was simply amazing — incredibly tender and delicious!

It was our most favourite steak place since we first discovered it many many years ago (~15 years) and we would always come back here for the most tasty steak and the vibe whenever we visit Amsterdam every few years. However, this place has become quite old and grimy (the indoor dining areas as well as the restrooms upstairs with a shattered mirror). Also, the waiter that served us was quite unfriendly and harsh. The food quality wise was still good, but not at all as tasty and on point as it used to be. It's quite sad to experience that what used to be a hot spot for one of the best steaks in town could not keep up their high standards regarding theor food, service and interior.

Easily the best pizza I had in Amsterdam. Great portions as well. Not the Italian restaurant I was looking for, but my date and I were very happy to have found it. We did come back for a second night.

It wasn’t the best experience. I had a burger, which was actually pretty good, but the service left a lot to be desired. The first server we had was quite rude and seemed to be in a hurry, which made us uncomfortable. Thankfully, a younger staff member came over with a much better attitude, and from that point on, we only interacted with him. I wouldn`t say its a bad restaurant, but the first guy killed the mood

I'm argentinian, and I can not belive this place dares to call Argentinian restaurant. The meat bad, but that is not the worst. The offered bread, implying was complementary and was charged 5.5 euros 4 supermarket bellen. They charged sauces we not even ordered. Basically they increased the bill 10 percent in hidden fees. Do not recommend it at all my fault I knew was a tourist trap)

I was upset and angry with the service, they were unpolite and rude. Waiters please, if you don’t enjoy customer service just change. But don’t disturb our holidays. Thanks

Unpleasant and rude service. Poor manners and poor attitude. Not recommended if you're looking for a good time in a friendly atmosphere. Three of the four waiters spoke to us rudely after closing the door because we were cold. Never close the door, you've been warned.

Great, the restaurant accepts us at 3 p.m. for the meal. The dishes are good but what a shame to have such an unpleasant waiter. We really feel like we're disturbing, we are a group of 8 and left with a bill of almost €300.....change jobs sir!

It was really cold in this restaurant but apparently people in Amsterdam like the restaurants cold The food was decent but not great not well seasoned. The servers were nice but they seemed very busy.

The best place to eat and drink

Rancho Leidseplein serves Argentine food, it is very well located in the neighborhood. It has a very spacious and comfortable living room and has a good interior temperature. We ordered a barbecue for two, some chicken fajitas and a hamburger. The attention was quite fast and the service took just enough time. As for the food, the barbecue was very good, the meat was just right, very well prepared and varied, plenty of potatoes and salad. If you eat a lot, it is a good option. The fajitas had a lot of vegetables, as well as chicken. They were very good. And my daughter, who is a light eater, loved the burger!! So 10/10 The dessert was a brownie with ice cream, the brownie was very cold and we asked them to reheat it, which they did without a problem! Good place to visit if you are visiting Amsterdam. Bill for 4 people.

We spent Christmas Eve here and had a fabulous dinner with dessert. The food was incredible, the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was fabulous. It was warm and cosy and had plenty of options for everyone. We didn’t feel rushed and had a wonderful evening. Thank you team!

The place with quite a few people consuming is a good sign of how delicious they offer. We ordered something for dinner and the service was fast despite the number of people there. We were satisfied

The quality of the meat was good, but the fries were bland and didn't fit in. Same with garnish served in a paper single use bowl. A bit hectic place but the meat as said was good

The degree of burntness was shocking and the taste was so bitter that I was forced to waste a lot of food and expressed concern about the possible carcinogenic effects of this level of taste.

Food was nice but nobody talks English and it was super hard to communicate with them after we said we want to split the bill they didn’t understood us 3 times and after this he was asking “where is tip?” After we gave them 11%

So not paid for either the water or the wine, execrable waiter we just left

Our experience at this restaurant was highly disappointing. Despite the restaurant being completely empty, we had to wait five minutes just to receive a menu. To make matters worse, when we sat down, there was a coffee mug left on the table from a previous customer or staff member, and no one bothered to clear it. The table itself was sticky and clearly hadn’t been cleaned. The service went from bad to worse when the waiter, instead of addressing the issues professionally, was extremely rude and sarcastic. At one point, he even questioned my behavior, saying, "Is this how you act in a restaurant?" After that comment, we decided to leave. The lack of basic cleanliness and the disrespectful service made this an unacceptable dining experience. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We loved our steak, cooked to perfection, just the right portion size. Fun atmosphere. Something different!

Entrecôte and pork ribs with barbecue sauce highly recommended. Tasty and well cooked meat. Friendly and attentive staff. We ate in the outdoor area and we were very comfortable. Reasonable price. They have the bathroom on the top floor.

We saw this grill from the place across the street and promised ourselves we'd go back the next day. It was a good choice, as the meat was of excellent quality. I found the wine, an "Altos del cóndor" Cabernet, a little expensive (€25) compared to the quality, but let's not forget that we are in Amsterdam. The side dishes and sauces are excellent.

We had a very delicious meal here yesterday! A few staff members were in training, the manager kept a close eye on them and made sure everything went smoothly. The staff were very friendly and there was a nice atmosphere in the restaurant. The food was very good! Beforehand we had sandwiches with aioli and chicken wings. These were very tasty. As a main course we had the tenderloin and ribeye, which were very tender. The fries were also well cooked and the homemade sauces were very popular.

The starter was empanadas with meat, as main the 400g Rumsteak, it was perfectly grilled and matched with the potatoe with sour cream, delicious and excellent. Great Customer Service! If you’re sitting outside you will have a nice view.

This restaurant is amazing for having limoncello and a very tasteful pizza. You cannot combat this price anywhere else. Come here and enjoy

Our food was not as tasty as we expected, the burger we got looked like one from the freezer. The spareribs didn't really have a marinade, they were served with a little bit of loose sauce. One of the servers was not that friendly from the start. The man didn't even look at us and was only busy with the football match on his phone.

The staff is very welcoming, the dishes are superb. As an accompaniment, I recommend the “Verduras”. As a starter, I had the chicken wings (3 will be more than enough) with a fantastic barbecue sauce!!! Even the most basic steaks are good. For the price, it's excellent. The only flaw was that the chicken wings were a little undercooked.

It was our last dinner in Amsterdam. It was a very nice place. The steak was also delicious. The chicken in the salad was a big piece.

We had a delicious meal here! The only disadvantage was that the chicken fillet was on the dry side, but the taste was good.

This was the second Rancho that we visited in two days, that speaks for itself. This Rancho was better in all categories, the first one being waiter politeness which was outstanding. Ambient represents the argentinian ranch atmosphere so there is no surprise there, other than it's clean. The food, the meat, the entrees and drinks were gorgeous. The meat especially, the plate we ordered contains several different beef cuts, grilled to perfection, succulent and savory. Very good gastronomic experience.

Great vibes , good menu of an authentic Argentinian grill. I'd say the meat quality wasn't great However, the chicken and chorizo were perfect. Staff needs to be more patient with families having kids around.

Over the years, when we have passed through Amsterdam, we have always stopped at Rancho in Leidseplein, the place is beautiful, welcoming atmosphere and fast and friendly staff, the price varies depending on the choice, you can spend 20 euros per person, as well as 50 /60, the menu offers different options also depending on the wallet, in short... it is (almost) within everyone's reach🥰 not to mention that they have always made us sit down, even without a reservation, with the rooms being very crowded and even during holidays , where the amount of work doubles (almost triples)! One of the few places, which I recommend to all friends who book a trip to Amsterdam!

Arrivés sans réservation dans un resto presque plein, le serveur à l'accueil nous a rapidement trouvé une place. Assis à l'écart, au chaud, avec un peu de musique, la table idéale pour nous. La serveuse était très gentille et de bons conseils. Un steak et une salade au saumon commandés, produits très frais, parfaitement cuits et assaisonnés. Nous nous sommes régalés et avons passé un très bon moment. Merci à vous !
