D-Break in Wijk 22 Zaandam West

I went to this place located in a small shopping mall. They serve breakfast and drinks. I chose the smoothie called Sunshine. It contains pineapple and mango. When I arrived, the place was quite crowded. Therefore, our order arrived a little late. Also, the tables were very close together. It wasn't really possible to move around comfortably without the people at the next table getting up. This bothered me a bit. As for the smoothie, I liked the taste. They state that it's made with 100% fruit and no added sugar. The drink was delicious and well-made. The place also offers breakfast options, but since I only tried drinks, I can't comment on the breakfast. Overall, I liked the drinks. However, the fact that the place was constantly crowded, the orders arrived late, and the tables were very cramped were negative aspects for me. It's worth a visit, but if you ask if it's worth a special trip, I don't think it's really necessary.

I had a sandwich in the lunchroom a couple of times, and what struck me was that the owner is very loud towards others and on the phone. Furthermore, a decent toilet seat in the men's restroom and towels would be nice.

Nice place, tasty sandwiches with good fillings, and friendly service with a smile! The fresh orange juice was also very good.

Terrible sandwiches, inedible; a tower of fillings is piled up. It is not normal to consume them this way, and the man has a grumpy face.

I waited over an hour for my order (a brie sandwich). The girl on the phone indicated after 20 minutes that the order would be arriving, but this did NOT happen! I called ten minutes later and was told the delivery person was on their way now. By now, half an hour has passed and I still haven't received anything. I called the business phone number, but it was repeatedly not answered, hung up on, or answered without anyone speaking. Ridiculous behavior and extremely unprofessional; this is the last time I will order here!!! Do something about the staff, because you won't win any customers here! (It's not even worth that one star!) In the photos, you can see what I ordered and what a pathetic, meager sandwich I received!

We had a great tuna sandwich with cheese and salad. Friendly, efficient service.

What I love most about this place is the service; you feel right at home. They're incredibly friendly and provide fast, warm service. The food is pretty good too, especially the smoothies, which are amazing. A fun detail to mention is that they have items in the restaurant that you can buy if you like them—I think you can even buy the chairs, haha.

I'm going to grab something delicious at D-Break in Zaandam soon. I'm curious to see what kind of tasty treats they have there.

The price-quality ratio is definitely not in line. Too expensive for what you get. Fairly basic food with a lettuce leaf and a slice of tomato on the side. It's a shame, because the place has potential, but it lacks the right touch.

Friendly service, the food is excellent, no matter what you order. The staff is very hygienic and checks on everything to ensure it's to your liking. The owner and his wife are also very outgoing. I would recommend this to everyone.

Delicious smoothies, fast, friendly service, and the fried egg sandwich was generously filled. It's great to have a Dutch lunchroom in Zaandam.

Very moderately topped panini. Service also a bit moderate, waitress does not come to tables that have been waiting the longest first. Also no meat products available that are not halal, which leaves few options. Smoothies were not that great, but in terms of price quality the best option.

It's really funny but not really, that when you come back to the store every time, your order goes completely wrong 99% of the time, which has become super frustrating! Every time you get an apology, or yes we are working on it, but with all due respect, you already write down on paper what the customer's order is, print out a receipt that you enter on the cash register, the person who makes the sandwiches or smoothies gets this in front of him so that he knows what to make, and STILL it literally goes wrong every time, really unbelievable! And then you also pay 35.35 for an omelette with bread, a healthy chicken fillet sandwich, 1 freshly squeezed orange juice and a smoothie... then you also expect that when there are 5 of them in the kitchen, your order will be correct in one go! Every time I come here (every so often) I think how do you manage to ruin my order every time by making stupid mistakes!

kwam hier al jaren. nu alle prijzen omhoog, veel krimpflatie. koffeglas nu 2 cm minder inhoud, "appelgebak" nog net 2 cm breed wat ik gasten thuis niet eens zou durven voorzetten. NOOIT MEER

I always have a wonderful meal at Dirk and his staff's. They're incredibly hospitable, and the new location looks fantastic.

I ordered an XL coffee that I pay more for and it arrived in a glass that was smaller than the water glasses at home and they didn't even refill it half way.

When I go to the store in Zaandam I always stop by for my pistolet gezond. a well filled sandwich. I don't find such a tasty sandwich where I live now. The employees are customer friendly. definitely recommended

We always order sandwiches here more often. Also often ordered for business purposes with colleagues. But the last time was a real disappointment. There was just stone in my bread. Possibly because the arugulas were not cleaned properly. Can you please pay close attention next time, because your sandwiches are really tasty. Such a shame!!

Most tasteless “hot” chicken sandwich ever. Chicken looked like it came from the freezer. Tosti Vega means sandwich with lettuce leaves. Highly recommended, you expect something different from a sandwich shop.

Tasty sandwiches. Especially healthy chicken fillet and tuna salad. Coffee to go cup never really full and sometimes lukewarm. Owner very friendly. Lately I have been ordering sandwiches and having them delivered to my home, highly recommended.

I always came there with my dear ex-boyfriend. We have known each other for 50 years this year. He passed away a week ago. He started eating less and less. First bouncers. Then hot meat sandwiches. Then a croissant with cheese or a piece of apple pie. And in the end the last thing we had was a sunshine smoothie, my favorite drink. Fortunately, he suffered no pain at all and fell asleep peacefully surrounded by me and his family. It was nice to be in d break again.

Every Thursday we sit here with 10 people from 12 to 2 pm for a nice snack and drink.

Epic place to have a nice meal, and everyone is doing great to attend you. Mr. Hutt very friendly like everyone else working here. 😁👌

Unfortunately not good service, you ask if there is cake and you get the answer that the day is still long. Then you are drinking coffee and they put the pastries in the display case... for me this was the reason that this was the last time I was here.

Nice place, they are cozy and friendly. Another plus point is: there is a toilet there for customers and 50 cents for non-customers. And looks hygienic. The only downside as a real coffee lover, ladies (usually students) make less tasty coffee than the owner himself. Tip: teach them your barista skill! Xd
