Cozy restaurant with fantastic food.

We discovered this restaurant by chance. The dog was immediately offered water, and the owner is very friendly. The pizza is good, but the fish soup... oh my... I've never had such delicious food! For a moment, I felt like I was back in Sardinia.

We had made a reservation. A bit of a strange restaurant, especially the staff. There was a terribly grumpy woman walking around in a much too short skirt who didn't speak Dutch and barely spoke English. Every time, she angrily placed our order at the edge of the table, and then we had to figure it out ourselves. She probably didn't go to culinary school. There were two other servers who were very friendly. An older man and a woman with blonde hair. We had quite a few starters, but received very little bread with them, which we all had to share. The chicken pizza was way too salty and the vegetable soup way too spicy. Clever for them, though, so guests order more drinks. Otherwise, the food was tasty and certainly not expensive. Too bad we had to wait half an hour for dessert. And when I looked at the ceiling, I saw at least five spiders and quite a lot of cobwebs. It is nice that there is air conditioning, though. Next time, back to the trusted Greek place😅 Ciao.

We had already ordered food for 15 people 2 weeks earlier. And then to wait another 1.5 hours and ask. While the rest of the restaurant already had their food. During service, they forgot 3 people, and we had to ask again. This really shouldn't happen.

Nice place, but the food takes way too long. The waiters are overworked and unfriendly.

Delicious Italian food and hospitality

A friend and I went here for dinner and ordered a starter, namely squid. As you can see in the photo, they look VERY white, there are few pieces, and they felt a bit raw, even though the price was 12.50. We pointed this out immediately to two different servers, but we received NO response either time. We didn't get a new portion, or at least a "what a shame, our apologies" or something along those lines. I also ordered a second Coke, and it didn't arrive until half an hour later, so I had already ordered a new one from another server in the meantime because it was taking so long. A super disappointing experience; we are never coming back here!

We chose to sit inside; there was plenty of room, even though the terrace was full. We ordered 2 draft beers and pizza Margherita and Quattro Fromage. They were served straight from the oven after 15-20 minutes. Enjoy your meal, and yes, these pizzas certainly were. Not burnt, delicious pizzas. Even a little too much, but they offered to give us the extra slices in a pizza box to take home. Total €36.50, that is a fair price.

Restaurant with very good service, very pleasant, very good dishes full of flavours with very reasonable prices.

Upon arrival, it took a long time for our order to be taken, even though it was very quiet. The food was tasteless. There was still a pile of flour under my pizza! The crockery was stained and not clean. When paying, it took 10 minutes before the staff even looked our way so we could pay. This is the first and last time at this restaurant for us.

The food was really delicious! We both had soup as a starter, super tasty! And for the main course (see photo), also really delicious! Friendly staff! Highly recommended.

The owner is incredibly unfriendly! If you ask for something politely, you just get a rude response. That reminded me why I hadn't been there for 15 years… And they want to get you out of there as quickly as possible, which I understand given the prices, but I had just finished the last bite and the plates and glasses were being cleared. There could have been a 5-minute gap. The food is fine, by the way; it's just a shame that there are way too many spices on every pizza, causing the flavor of the other ingredients to disappear.

Nice place with a cozy, old-fashioned café atmosphere. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. We had pizza and pasta, and both were very tasty. Everything tasted fresh and the portions were just right. Definitely a nice place to eat Italian food if you are in Breda. I would love to come back here again!

I ate here when I first moved to Breda - now graduating I chose to eat here again. Good aunthetic food. Very busy during Summer, so resereve if you can.

Unfortunately, I have to adjust my rating from 5 stars to 3 stars. Yesterday, June 18, was actually a lot worse; staff couldn't handle the situation and you simply weren't served without getting up and walking over to the wait staff. The food was also a lot worse; the pizza was dry. We only received the wine after the main course and they couldn't tell us what the wine of the month was. A shame. Tip: if you can't handle the flow of guests, make sure you host fewer people.

Simply lousy in service and quality. They want you to come in and quickly eat the fast food type food they offer and empty the corner for them!!!! The bald gentleman also thinks that he is doing you a favor and that there are not 100 other restaurants in the surrounding area for you to go to on your next visit!!!! That's probably why he only had two groups of people at peak time.

Nice shop, the bald gentleman who was apparently the owner was miserable, but he wasn't just a gentleman... he was rude!!! We have eaten in amazing Italian restaurants with staff whose kindness inspires you! In terms of quality... I ate lasagna with layers of vegetables that I honestly was looking for vegetables and the lasagna was mud! They also poured so much sauce that it confused you so that you couldn't distinguish the non-existence of the ingredients! For a moment I thought that maybe I was eating some frozen long-life preparation! I definitely wouldn't visit it again and of course I don't recommend it! There are higher-class Italian restaurants with decent, kind and quality owners!

By far my favorite Italian restaurant in Breda. I have been coming here for as long as I can remember; in all those years, the atmosphere, service, and most importantly, the food have always been amazing. As a child, I used to order the kids' pizza in the shape of a fish. I think the calzone here is the best I have ever had. It is also lovely to linger after dinner with a pitcher of Lambrusco.

Delicious Italian food at a reasonable price. A bread roll to start, delicious pizza, pasta, or fresh lasagna. Simply always good. We come here at least once a month and are happy to keep coming back!

Super Italian restaurant in the heart of Breda!

After the NAC match, I popped in quickly without a reservation. It was pleasantly busy. I didn't have to wait long for the delicious pizzas.

Unexpectedly sat down with 9 colleagues; everyone was satisfied with the food and the service, and the food came through nice and quickly. Absolutely nothing to complain about regarding this pizzeria. The interior is a bit simple, but no problem.

We had to wait a long time for service. We were sitting outside and they didn't look our way. We got our food, but the pasta didn't have much flavor. I had a pasta carbonara and it wasn't great. I asked for salt and pepper and it took ages for it to arrive. My pasta got cold and only then did I get the salt. I had to ask myself if they could heat up my pasta; they didn't offer a solution themselves. I do not recommend it!

Nice restaurant on the market of Breda

Well, it's a bit of a shame. They've been there for years, and the service remains at Faulty Towers level. The food is okay, but nothing more. The staff still barely understands anything, even though most of them have been there for years. A little basic friendliness and hospitality would improve things considerably. Oh yeah, a dimmer on the lights would help too.

Excellent experience! Top-notch food...my children chose pizza, my wife a steak, and I had spaghetti with shrimp...and I can say that all the dishes were fantastic 🙂 The location is also spectacular and the service was ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ especially a polite, friendly Spanish gentleman with above-average professionalism.

We had a reservation for 7:00 PM, but there was no table. We were put in line. Impossible. After 15 years as a favorite... never, ever, ever again. Impossible, people. Don't go there again!!!!!

Food was ok , I've had fried fish mix plate , it was decent but calamari hmmm ,my wife had a fish file in wine sous and it was really good . Ambient was really nice , service was good and prices was ok . Long story short ok place to visit.

This isn't my first time at this restaurant, but today the service was rude. At first, we were served by a great waitress, but when we asked for the bill, another waiter approached us. We asked to pay separately, to which he silently turned away, threw down a pen and pencil, and told us to calculate and write down what we wanted to pay for. So we had to do it ourselves? The food was delicious, no complaints there, but the service was terrible.

We had dinner with six people on Thursday evening. Delicious pizzas (Calzone is highly recommended!) and desserts. The service was attentive, everything went smoothly, and the prices were very reasonable. We'll definitely be back 😊👌🏻

Simply a superb restaurant. Italian cuisine lovers will experience the ultimate here. The decor and ambiance are charming. The menu has clearly been carefully selected. The drink selection is also excellent. Hospitality and expertise are paramount here. More than enough reasons to stop by for a bite to eat and a drink.

This was awful. We were with a group of 12 friends, and the carpaccio starter had far too much sour dressing and olive oil poured over it. A few of us just left it. Afterward, some of us had a pizza, which was decent, but some also had the tenderloin, which was absolutely terrible. They poured an enormous amount of sauce over it, probably to disguise the meat. We'll never go back to this place.

We had an absolutely disgusting experience at this so-called Italian restaurant in Breda and I honestly wouldn’t wish it on anyone. We are tourists and the way they treated us felt openly racist and disrespectful from the moment we sat down. They completely “forgot” our starters and only brought the main dishes almost two hours after we ordered. When we mentioned it, the waiter just laughed and said “oups,” clearly not caring at all. We ordered 4 pastas and 1 pizza and they didn’t even bother to bring cutlery; when we politely asked, he threw the cutlery onto the table and sarcastically asked the person who ordered the pizza (the only one who didn’t even need it) if he was “satisfied” and wanted a spoon too. We asked for cheese for the pasta and never got it, no matter how many times we reminded him. He ignored us the entire time we tried to talk to him, and to make things worse, they even charged us extra items “by accident.” Meanwhile, the other waiters were literally sitting at the table next to us playing cards instead of working, completely ignoring all the other tables including ours. The whole experience was rude, humiliating, and utterly unprofessional. If you’re a tourist or simply expect basic respect and service, avoid this place completely.

Unfortunately, I also had a very negative experience at this restaurant. A senior employee behaved in a very disrespectful and discriminatory manner. His tone was rude and arrogant, completely inappropriate for someone who works with customers. This kind of behavior has no place in a restaurant that welcomes people from different countries and cultures. Hopefully, management will intervene and provide better staff and customer-friendly service.

My experience at this restaurant was extremely unpleasant. One of the staff members, an older man, behaved in a very disrespectful way, as if he didn’t want customers from different cultures to be there. His words and attitude were rude and offensive. A place like this should treat everyone equally and with courtesy, not arrogance and bad manners. It’s unfortunate that one person can damage the reputation of an entire restaurant in this way.

I had a very unpleasant experience at this restaurant. An older man working there was racist and disrespectful. His attitude was arrogant, rude, and completely unprofessional. He spoke in a very hurtful manner. This kind of treatment is unacceptable, especially in a place that welcomes customers from different cultures. I really hope the management takes this seriously and improves the staff's behavior.

The food was delicious, and the staff were friendly. When we arrived, she asked if we had made a reservation or not. If you haven't made a reservation, you'll be seated near the front; if you have, you'll be seated in the middle or back. Plenty of options for meat eaters and vegetarians on their pizzas, pasta, etc.

The food was just good but the behavior of the staff member was unacceptable! He was sarcastic to the point of being very rude towards anyone. He invoked a difference just to annoy us and laugh at us. If they don't want tourists in their restaurant they should say so so they don't insult us who just go to give them our money. Unacceptable!

An amazing Italian restaurant that is around for longer than most people. The menu is divers and the food tastes delicious! The staff is Ittalian, the atmosphere is Ittalian, and the prices are great! There's a good reason this is one of my favorite restaurants in the Netherlands!

My favorite Italian restaurant in town. The carbonara and calzone are unbeatable.

We ate here with 4 adults and 2 small children (aged 2 and 4). The children's pizzas were fun, with "bunny ears" on them. The adult pizzas were also very tasty. I had the calzone with bolognese sauce on top...super delicious. Homemade tiramisu was also delicious. The service was friendly and also kind to the little ones. Highly recommended. We will definitely go back here when we visit our children and grandchildren.

It's not what it used to be. I've been coming here for over 10 years—the pizzas just don't taste the same anymore. Where the pizzas used to have a delicious, slightly charred, crispy crust (with air bubbles), they're now flat and don't taste fresh or authentic anymore. The staff are friendly and the prices are good. But the service is a bit lacking. For example, they throw cutlery on the table instead of neatly placing it next to the plate. It wasn't that busy that evening... I gave it another try the last few times (despite the less-than-stellar experience), but nothing changed. I'm going to look for a different place for my pizzas now.

We had a wonderful meal with friends. There were four of us. We liked the atmosphere, but it could have been a bit cleaner in places. The chairs weren't very comfortable. Otherwise, the food was delicious and the staff very friendly, though not very fast. I definitely think it's worth eating there again!

Had to wait way too long for food. A total of 45 minutes to place an order, and then another 1 hour and 15 minutes for the food. Never again!!!

We'd been coming here for three years and enjoyed it, as the food was always good. Unfortunately, our last visit was a huge disappointment. We were placed almost literally next to the restroom, on a busy aisle where everyone was walking past. This was a very strange place to seat guests, and what's more, we were so close to another group that we could barely hear each other over the shouting. The service was chaotic and rushed. Our drinks took ages to arrive, and when we tried to order our food right away, we were refused. The server didn't return until almost 10 minutes later, and then half of our order didn't even come through. We received absolutely no attention: no one asked if we wanted another drink, and we felt completely ignored. In the end, we had to walk to the cash register ourselves to pay. The older man with glasses, in particular, was downright antisocial and literally started yelling at us that the receipt was ready. He was very angry that we had taken the initiative to go to the cash register ourselves. That made it very "difficult" for them. There was clearly no communication between colleagues, which caused everything to go wrong. As a pregnant woman, I found it completely disrespectful to be treated like that—as if we were toddlers. I've never experienced such rude treatment in a restaurant. We will never return after this experience.

The food was delicious, the menu was extensive, and the selection of beers and wines was good. The service was prompt and friendly. We were very satisfied. The salmon-filled sole rolls (fish) are highly recommended for fish lovers.

Heerlijk gegeten (brood en olijven vooraf, visgerecht als hoofd) , snelle en vriendelijke bediening, gezellige rustieke ambiance (sfeer) binnen . Lekkere (witte) pinot grigio wijn. Genoeg keus uit bieren . Grote kaart. En midden in t centrum van Breda. Wij hadden n heerlijke avond uit eten bij Da Attilio. Slechts één klein minpuntje, we kregen bij de friet en warme groenten die op schaaltjes erbij werden geserveerd, geen opscheplepel of zo erbij. Moest met het eigen bestek op de borden opgeschept worden. Maar verder super tevreden. Kan dit italiaans restaurant aan iedereen aanraden.

We wanted to eat at this restaurant. We sat down, and it took 30 minutes and we still hadn't been helped. Then we went inside to order food and drinks. It took another 20 minutes before we got our coke. The food didn't arrive, and we were told off for not having patience and that we'd just have to wait. Then we walked out. Rude place.

Bediening ronduit schandalig. Anders stel gewoon weg gegaan na bestelling. Vrouw die bediening doet hoort niet in een horecazaak. Eten is goed. Meer ook niet. Nooit meer !

My mother and I had a lovely meal, but what a mess. First, we had to walk to the bar ourselves because no one helped us, then we had to wait almost an hour for our food. And it still hadn't arrived. (People around us had just sat down and already had food in front of them.) Because of this, we decided to leave, but our reaction was not very positive. The staff reacted aggressively, saying it would be here soon and didn't offer an apology. Then they yelled that we still had to pay for our soda. We did this, of course, but it was a complete mess. Absolutely not recommended!!

After waiting 30 minutes to order and an hour for our food, we got up after drinking a Coke. The staff didn't seem to care. Too many people on the terrace and not enough staff. I don't mind waiting a little longer for my food. But I should mention this. No apology. Just a waiter who felt offended by our getting up and yelled after us that we still had to pay for our Coke. Of course, they did a decent job with a €3 tip. But what a mess. And no apology. Just yelling and denial. A mess.

I wouldn’t recommend the carbonara. It had no salt, no flavor, and was made with cream ; which completely misses the mark for a classic Italian carbonara. Disappointing for an Italian restaurant.

Great restaurant, delicious food, good and friendly service. They're not pushy, but they wait patiently for you to beckon. Food arrives quickly, and the price is excellent. We sat outside in nice weather, but the interior also looks very inviting. In short, highly recommended.
