Very friendly service by Sergio. Very helpful for a wheelchair user. The pizzas were delicious.

This isn't my first time at this restaurant, but today the service was rude. At first, we were served by a great waitress, but when we asked for the bill, another waiter approached us. We asked to pay separately, to which he silently turned away, threw down a pen and pencil, and told us to calculate and write down what we wanted to pay for. So we had to do it ourselves? The food was delicious, no complaints there, but the service was terrible.

We had dinner with six people on Thursday evening. Delicious pizzas (Calzone is highly recommended!) and desserts. The service was attentive, everything went smoothly, and the prices were very reasonable. We'll definitely be back 😊👌🏻

Simply a superb restaurant. Italian cuisine lovers will experience the ultimate here. The decor and ambiance are charming. The menu has clearly been carefully selected. The drink selection is also excellent. Hospitality and expertise are paramount here. More than enough reasons to stop by for a bite to eat and a drink.

This was awful. We were with a group of 12 friends, and the carpaccio starter had far too much sour dressing and olive oil poured over it. A few of us just left it. Afterward, some of us had a pizza, which was decent, but some also had the tenderloin, which was absolutely terrible. They poured an enormous amount of sauce over it, probably to disguise the meat. We'll never go back to this place.

Got the food very quickly, nice

We had an absolutely disgusting experience at this so-called Italian restaurant in Breda and I honestly wouldn’t wish it on anyone. We are tourists and the way they treated us felt openly racist and disrespectful from the moment we sat down. They completely “forgot” our starters and only brought the main dishes almost two hours after we ordered. When we mentioned it, the waiter just laughed and said “oups,” clearly not caring at all. We ordered 4 pastas and 1 pizza and they didn’t even bother to bring cutlery; when we politely asked, he threw the cutlery onto the table and sarcastically asked the person who ordered the pizza (the only one who didn’t even need it) if he was “satisfied” and wanted a spoon too. We asked for cheese for the pasta and never got it, no matter how many times we reminded him. He ignored us the entire time we tried to talk to him, and to make things worse, they even charged us extra items “by accident.” Meanwhile, the other waiters were literally sitting at the table next to us playing cards instead of working, completely ignoring all the other tables including ours. The whole experience was rude, humiliating, and utterly unprofessional. If you’re a tourist or simply expect basic respect and service, avoid this place completely.

The atmosphere is like being in an old Italian village

Unfortunately, I also had a very negative experience at this restaurant. A senior employee behaved in a very disrespectful and discriminatory manner. His tone was rude and arrogant, completely inappropriate for someone who works with customers. This kind of behavior has no place in a restaurant that welcomes people from different countries and cultures. Hopefully, management will intervene and provide better staff and customer-friendly service.

My experience at this restaurant was extremely unpleasant. One of the staff members, an older man, behaved in a very disrespectful way, as if he didn’t want customers from different cultures to be there. His words and attitude were rude and offensive. A place like this should treat everyone equally and with courtesy, not arrogance and bad manners. It’s unfortunate that one person can damage the reputation of an entire restaurant in this way.

The food was delicious, and the staff were friendly. When we arrived, she asked if we had made a reservation or not. If you haven't made a reservation, you'll be seated near the front; if you have, you'll be seated in the middle or back. Plenty of options for meat eaters and vegetarians on their pizzas, pasta, etc.

I had a very unpleasant experience at this restaurant. An older man working there was racist and disrespectful. His attitude was arrogant, rude, and completely unprofessional. He spoke in a very hurtful manner. This kind of treatment is unacceptable, especially in a place that welcomes customers from different cultures. I really hope the management takes this seriously and improves the staff's behavior.

The food was just good but the behavior of the staff member was unacceptable! He was sarcastic to the point of being very rude towards anyone. He invoked a difference just to annoy us and laugh at us. If they don't want tourists in their restaurant they should say so so they don't insult us who just go to give them our money. Unacceptable!

An amazing Italian restaurant that is around for longer than most people. The menu is divers and the food tastes delicious! The staff is Ittalian, the atmosphere is Ittalian, and the prices are great! There's a good reason this is one of my favorite restaurants in the Netherlands!

My favorite Italian restaurant in town. The carbonara and calzone are unbeatable.

We ate here with 4 adults and 2 small children (aged 2 and 4). The children's pizzas were fun, with "bunny ears" on them. The adult pizzas were also very tasty. I had the calzone with bolognese sauce on top...super delicious. Homemade tiramisu was also delicious. The service was friendly and also kind to the little ones. Highly recommended. We will definitely go back here when we visit our children and grandchildren.

It's not what it used to be. I've been coming here for over 10 years—the pizzas just don't taste the same anymore. Where the pizzas used to have a delicious, slightly charred, crispy crust (with air bubbles), they're now flat and don't taste fresh or authentic anymore. The staff are friendly and the prices are good. But the service is a bit lacking. For example, they throw cutlery on the table instead of neatly placing it next to the plate. It wasn't that busy that evening... I gave it another try the last few times (despite the less-than-stellar experience), but nothing changed. I'm going to look for a different place for my pizzas now.

Good service and delicious food

We had a wonderful meal with friends. There were four of us. We liked the atmosphere, but it could have been a bit cleaner in places. The chairs weren't very comfortable. Otherwise, the food was delicious and the staff very friendly, though not very fast. I definitely think it's worth eating there again!

Had to wait way too long for food. A total of 45 minutes to place an order, and then another 1 hour and 15 minutes for the food. Never again!!!

We'd been coming here for three years and enjoyed it, as the food was always good. Unfortunately, our last visit was a huge disappointment. We were placed almost literally next to the restroom, on a busy aisle where everyone was walking past. This was a very strange place to seat guests, and what's more, we were so close to another group that we could barely hear each other over the shouting. The service was chaotic and rushed. Our drinks took ages to arrive, and when we tried to order our food right away, we were refused. The server didn't return until almost 10 minutes later, and then half of our order didn't even come through. We received absolutely no attention: no one asked if we wanted another drink, and we felt completely ignored. In the end, we had to walk to the cash register ourselves to pay. The older man with glasses, in particular, was downright antisocial and literally started yelling at us that the receipt was ready. He was very angry that we had taken the initiative to go to the cash register ourselves. That made it very "difficult" for them. There was clearly no communication between colleagues, which caused everything to go wrong. As a pregnant woman, I found it completely disrespectful to be treated like that—as if we were toddlers. I've never experienced such rude treatment in a restaurant. We will never return after this experience.

Heerlijk gegeten (brood en olijven vooraf, visgerecht als hoofd) , snelle en vriendelijke bediening, gezellige rustieke ambiance (sfeer) binnen . Lekkere (witte) pinot grigio wijn. Genoeg keus uit bieren . Grote kaart. En midden in t centrum van Breda. Wij hadden n heerlijke avond uit eten bij Da Attilio. Slechts één klein minpuntje, we kregen bij de friet en warme groenten die op schaaltjes erbij werden geserveerd, geen opscheplepel of zo erbij. Moest met het eigen bestek op de borden opgeschept worden. Maar verder super tevreden. Kan dit italiaans restaurant aan iedereen aanraden.

The food was delicious, the menu was extensive, and the selection of beers and wines was good. The service was prompt and friendly. We were very satisfied. The salmon-filled sole rolls (fish) are highly recommended for fish lovers.

We wanted to eat at this restaurant. We sat down, and it took 30 minutes and we still hadn't been helped. Then we went inside to order food and drinks. It took another 20 minutes before we got our coke. The food didn't arrive, and we were told off for not having patience and that we'd just have to wait. Then we walked out. Rude place.

My mother and I had a lovely meal, but what a mess. First, we had to walk to the bar ourselves because no one helped us, then we had to wait almost an hour for our food. And it still hadn't arrived. (People around us had just sat down and already had food in front of them.) Because of this, we decided to leave, but our reaction was not very positive. The staff reacted aggressively, saying it would be here soon and didn't offer an apology. Then they yelled that we still had to pay for our soda. We did this, of course, but it was a complete mess. Absolutely not recommended!!

I wouldn’t recommend the carbonara. It had no salt, no flavor, and was made with cream ; which completely misses the mark for a classic Italian carbonara. Disappointing for an Italian restaurant.

After waiting 30 minutes to order and an hour for our food, we got up after drinking a Coke. The staff didn't seem to care. Too many people on the terrace and not enough staff. I don't mind waiting a little longer for my food. But I should mention this. No apology. Just a waiter who felt offended by our getting up and yelled after us that we still had to pay for our Coke. Of course, they did a decent job with a €3 tip. But what a mess. And no apology. Just yelling and denial. A mess.

Great restaurant, delicious food, good and friendly service. They're not pushy, but they wait patiently for you to beckon. Food arrives quickly, and the price is excellent. We sat outside in nice weather, but the interior also looks very inviting. In short, highly recommended.

Delicious authentic and affordable Italian!

Tonight we went for dinner with a group of 8. Because the weather was nice and the terrace was completely full, we sat inside. Fortunately it was not too warm. The service is very nice and fast, the interior is a bit old-fashioned and after a while the chairs are not completely comfortable anymore. The fact that Da Attilio has been located here in Breda since 1976 also makes it a very characteristic restaurant with a good formula! The price-quality ratio is good and all the food was delicious! I especially liked the pasta salmon!

Unfortunately, my wife and I got food poisoning. Two days of sickness, stomach massacred. We ordered carpaccio, ice cream, octopus and fish. Service nice, everything on time. Food correct, quite tasty. Unfortunately, as I mentioned above, I got food poisoning.

Delicious food! Inside you feel like you are in an Italian restaurant. We have been going to Italy a lot for years and we felt like we were there for a moment. We will definitely come back more often.

1 star A few weeks ago I went to Datillio and it was a big disappointment. It started off badly: we literally had to wait 20 minutes just for our drinks. Then we were served by perhaps the rudest waitress I have ever encountered. Every time we wanted to order something, he reluctantly came to our table, with an attitude that showed no respect at all. One of my friends even got into a fight with him, which ended in an awkward stare down that was more like a UFC fight than a night out. If we hadn’t been in a public place, it could have escalated. The food also took an extremely long time to come, and for the price you pay, you expect something decent – ​​not something that tastes like it just came out of the microwave. If you are going to spend money, you should go to KFC. My advice: skip this so-called Italian “toko” and find something better.

Onvriendelijk personeel. Toen we ons eten kregen was het lauw. 3 x teken gedaan naar iemand om te komen want telkens negeerden ze ons. Toen er dan uiteindelijk iemand kwam zeiden we dat het eten lauw was. We kregen direct als antwoord “ het komt net uit de pan “. Toch onze borden met tegenzin meegenomen. Toen ze terug kwam was het ok. Eten was wel lekker maar jammer dat ze niet vriendelijk waren. Zelfs de dame die op het terras naast ons zat merkte op dat ze niet vriendelijk waren want ze sprak me erover aan.

een uur wachten op het voorgerecht was al erg lang. Na wachten en wachten op het hoofdgerecht hebben we een medewerker aangesproken dat het hoofd gerecht door mocht komen. Er gebeurt weer niks. Mensen die later binnen kwamen hadden hun hoofdgerecht al gehad. Volgens de patron was het de keuze. Raar want dat moet in principe niets uitmaken. Geen pizza maar keuzemenu en ossenhaas. Na 2 uur wachten en aangeven dat hij nog 5 minuten had om het hoofdgerecht te serveren. Na 4 minuten kwam de hoofdserveerder zeggen dat het nog 3 minuten duurde. Gaf hem geen 5 maar 10 minuten. Na gewacht te hebben en niks gekregen te hebben. Ben ik opgestaan en weggelopen. werkelijk schandalig zoals wij behandeld zijn.

De Attillio in Breda is truly a hidden gem! The food was outstanding, full of rich and unique flavors that you don’t find just anywhere. Every dish felt thoughtfully crafted, and you could really taste the chef’s passion in the preparation. A big compliment to the chef and the team for creating such a special experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy something different and delicious in Breda!

We had made a reservation with a large group and therefore had a choice of a few dishes, which was absolutely fine! Delicious pizzas and pastas! One person in our party received her gluten-free pasta a little late. After dinner, a few ordered drinks and the rest were sent away by the owner because they wanted to fill the table with new people. Which is very understandable, but not very neat.

Absurd slechte service. Wij hadden om 20:00 gereserveerd en waren rond die tijd binnen. Ze waren al gelijk agressief in benadering omdat wij met een grote groep waren. Eerst tegen ons gezegd dat ze vol zaten ondanks reservering. Toen gezegd dat wij gewoon gereserveerd hadden en dat wij gewoon wilde eten. Wij wilde prima wachten dus wilde aan de bar bier bestellen. Mocht niet omdat wij blijkbaar niet bij de tent hoorde. Bizar matige tent met agressief personeel. Uberhaupt geen tent om te eten. BIZAR met dubbele hoofdletters om het even extra duidelijk te maken

Arrived at 5:45 pm. Said I had made a reservation for 1 person and was put right by the door/exit. As time went on (good food by the way) a lot of people came in and all got a cozy spot in the backyard of the business. Even people who didn't make a reservation!!!! While I was more than 1 week ago. Reserved a spot. I find it absolutely scandalous that people who want to eat alone are thrown away from a (much) less good place. Shame on you and the lady in question who pretended not to know anything. I regularly eat out alone. But this struck me as time went on. I became increasingly angry.

Still able to get a spot without a reservation around 7:00 PM. Unfortunately the table was right next to the front door and it was a cold evening. We were having a lot of trouble with the trip and had asked the staff if we could move and they would "try" to arrange that. In between, people left, but they still gave other tables to other people without reservations. Shame. The food was okay, and the prices were good.

On November 28, 2024, I had dinner here with a friend. It was around dinner time, we didn't have a reservation and we randomly asked if there was still room. And yes, we were "lucky" there was still a table. However, that table was right in the draft of the door and it opened and closed often! This was not really pleasant. There were also many people waiting not far from our table, which was not pleasant. I would say create a waiting area from the start instead of leaving these tables. You just don't eat with pleasure (my opinion). We were helped quickly in the beginning, but this became slower as time progressed. The food tasted good. I went for the Tortellini con salsa tartufata and it tasted great. Personally I thought the portion was small, I would have liked a slightly larger portion 😉 For dessert I went for the dame blanche, at this place you get chocolate sauce next to it to serve yourself. As always, the Dame Blanche tasted delicious. This is a place where I will come back again, I hope for a better place in the restaurant 😉

I don't recommend it. The lasagne really floats in oil, completely tasteless and soggy. The sauce is greasy and bland. Carbonara...it's not Carbonara at all, it's in cream that has already soured and curdled. Never again.

Een van de oudste Italiaanse restaurants van Breda. “Al vanaf 1976 hier”, zegt de eigenaar met een glimlach. Mijn tortellini boscaiola is prima van smaak en mijn Swinkels 0.0 is perfect gekoeld.De bediening is snel en het is erg druk. De tafeltjes staan dicht op elkaar en dat maakt het lastig voor mensen met een handicap. Dat is jammer.

Mondayevening , outdoorterrace , 🕕 p.m. , fresh made tomato soup , spaghetti with beef , Peroni nastro azzurro , chaudfontaine sparkling , Dominican Parcero . Situated at the mainsquare in downtown Breda this Italian cozy restaurant and it’s big outside terrace . The soup and beef spaghetti were all satisfying but the service , specially from the youngest male staffer was horrible cause when asking to clean my wet table dry and just wiped without looking while focusing on bystanders outside the terrace and after that was more interested in a message he received on his phone instead of asking if I wanted anything else . Clearly he was not interested in guests and probably hated serving outside . The elder staffer with beard was a good host and was service minded . In all Da Attilio was a nice experience to grab an Italian bite when in Breda .

Very tasty and enjoyable meal! Had the eggplant from the oven with cheese and tomato sauce as a starter. As a main course Cannelloni di carne. Taste was very good. Definitely worth repeating.

The restaurant was full and yet we were served quickly. I ordered a calzone and it was the first time it was served with a bolognese sauce on top. I have to admit that the idea is good and the pizza was great!For two, 2 pizzas, 1 beer and 1 coffee, 40 euros.

We chose this restaurant for dinner based on the opinions of other customers, which were very positive. Unfortunately, our culinary experiences are not that enthusiastic. Ordered dishes: pizza for children in the shape of a rabbit - the dough was light, well-baked, very tasty; spaghetti carbonara - it was not real carbonara with egg sauce and parmesan, it was pasta covered with cream sauce, which even managed to curdle... a tasteless dish 🥺, antipasti with a combination of various types of cheeses and cold cuts - the cheeses were parmesan, and the cold cuts were salami, Parma ham, a few olives... a place located in the center near the Grote Kerk. Nice service, plenty of seating both outside and inside. The overall rating of the whole, mainly based on the meals, is 3*

Heel lekkere pasta gegeten, we zaten op het terras goed sfeertje. Er waren veel jongeren maar juist gezellig iedereen was vrolijk!

Al verschillende keren hier gegeten en alle keren was het eten prima! De bediening kan voor mijn idee wel iets attenter, maar qua gerechten echt een bovengemiddelde Italiaan. Aanrader!
