If you've never eaten here, you need to do so soon. De Pasta Kantine is closing its doors at the end of this year. They have many gluten-free options.

The food here is truly delicious. We love going here when we're in Breda. Highly recommended! It's a lovely restaurant in a cozy location with always friendly and efficient staff. They can also accommodate intolerances such as gluten, eggs, or cow's milk.

My friend got cold pasta. I got a bland green salad, with lots of lettuce and few other ingredients. The appetizer wasn't good either, unfortunately, with a hard, tasteless tomato. What a shame!

Okay, a bit on the expensive side for what and how much it is. There are better Italian restaurants in Breda that are also cheaper, but otherwise little to complain about.

Had a great evening at De Pasta Kantine for a bachelorette party with an Italian theme. Eight of us enjoyed the shared dining arrangement with a welcome aperitif. The portions were more than enough. The starters and desserts were especially popular. There was something for everyone. The communication and service were top notch, both beforehand via e-mail and during the dinner itself. Highly recommended!

The good and the bad. Every now and then I cross the threshold of eating out on my own. Then the attention of the service and the smile that you get for free are very welcome and worth 6 stars plus. Bravo girls! The wine was tasty and my regular meal LINGUINE ALLE VONGOLE E GAMBERI (photo) tasted delicious again. Too bad that for the first and now certainly for the last time I tried a new starter for me (at least at this restaurant) VITELLO TONNATO. Very meager for that price :-(. The veal - 4 thin slices - had little taste and the Tonnate had to make up for it.

I've been to Pasta Kantine Breda many times and it remains one of my favourite spots. The food is consistently tasty, with generous portions and great value for money. While the menu has evolved over the years, I do miss the greater variety it used to offer, I’d love to see some of the old favourites return. One of the best features is the cozy outdoor seating under the beautiful purple rain trees, a truly charming and relaxing vibe. Definitely worth a visit!

Half 7 binnen en half 9 naar buiten zonder eten. Maar wel moeten betalen voor de drankjes. Paar keer aangegeven dat eten er nog niet was. Ieder keer met een smoes ons aan het lijntje gehouden dat het eten er aan kwam. Zeer slechte bediening . Alleen maar jonge studenten in de keuken en de bediening

If you put pasta in your name, the pasta should also be 100% but it wasn't, the pasta had just gone too far, too bad because otherwise it was very tasty. The service was certainly not bad but if we hadn't drawn attention ourselves, we might not have eaten now, that's sloppy. Atmosphere .. 💯. Price is good. I've been here several times now and left satisfied every time. There is usually room during the week and if the weather is nice you can sit in the cozy courtyard. I highly recommend the bruschetta with tomato, as well as the melanzane alla parmigiana. Both dishes are very well executed in their simplicity. The staff is cordial and the service fast.

I eat there regularly, but the last two times were very bad. Ordered Linguine salmon. No flavor to the sauce...too little salmon and a lot of dill in one pile. This no longer had anything to do with good pasta. The drink service took way too long >5 minutes.

Just had a delicious pinsa mortadella and pinsa burrata here, really enjoyed it on the beautiful terrace, nice atmosphere and friendly service.

Nice that there are both gluten-free and lactose-free options! You don't often see that in Italian restaurants. Friendly service. It might be useful to provide lactose-free/vegan cheese because there was none. Pasta without cheese is not the same. For the rest it's nice to sit. There is also a wheelchair toilet, so it's nice that it is accessible to everyone.

In a quiet location in beautiful Breda, we ate delicious pasta with top service. Definitely recommended.

Heb hier al zeker 30 keer gegeten!! En ben nog nooit teleurgesteld geweest! Altijd lekker, altijd vers, altijd vriendelijk. Soms misschien een beetje lang wachten als de hele zaak vol zit, maar als we geen haast hebben is dat oké.

We had a great introduction via local taste. Everyone had a separate plate with tasty meat and fish snacks. Supplemented with good olives and smoked almonds. Everything was equally delicious. We would love to come back here again! Great service and a beautiful place with a nice terrace

AFRADER: fruitvliegjes in thee en in de zaak volgens serveerster, helft van de kaart waw niet aanwezig (pizza's). De zaak zat helemaal vol, dus zag er goed uit. Ontvangst duurde wat lang, en houten stoelen zoals in een ouderwetse kantine zaten ook niet echt comfortabel . We hadden bij binnenkomst wat drinken besteld en we hadden de menukaart gekregen. Menu kaart was 3 bladen, en bestond uit ongeveer de helft (mbt diner) uit pizza gerechten en de andere helft pasta en nog wat salades. De kaarten konden gewoon eruit gehaald worden, waarom volgt nu. We wilden alle 4 pizza en na ongeveer kwartiertje kwam men de bestelling opnemen. Echter ze hadden geen pizza!!!!. Ze hadden dit kunnen vertellen bij binnenkomst, tijdens geven menukaart of evt eenvoudig de kaart met pizza's eruit halen. Maar opnieuw gekeken en na minuutjes of 10 kwam ze bestelling opnieuw opnemen. 3x pasta en 1x salade. Na ongeveer half uurtje kwamen de 3 warme pasta gerechten. De koude salade zo'n 5 minuten later. Waarom niet zorgen dat het andersom is, zodat iedereen gelijk kan eten. Hierover (geen pizza en verkeerd om eten gebracht). geklaagd bij serveerster. Ze kwam terug met mededeling dat we op eind de koffie gratis kregen. Toen nog maar wat drinken besteld want ze kwamen hiervoor zelf niet vragen. We hadden 1 verse muntthee, naar dat rook naar een verstopte waterleiding beetje muf. We kregen een nieuwe, maar daar zaten "vliegjes" in. Antwoord serveerster: kan evt wel, want we hebben last van fruitvliegjes. Ze vroeg of nog iets wilden,maar we zeiden alle 4 laat maar zitten ook de gratis koffie hoeven we niet meer. Bij afrekenen, geen korting, hadden we zelf ook niet meer gekozen, maar verder ook geen enkele excuses gehoord. Dus met extra fruitvliegjes in eten en geen pizza's en verkeerde volgorde eten brengen en geen tijd nemen om tussendoor te vragen hoe het is, first er nog iemand drinken wilde, is dit ABSOLUUT GEEN AANRADER.

Heerlijke antipasti speciaal als vooraf gegeten met veel Italiaanse specialiteiten. Daarna prima. Vriendelijk personeel en vlot geholpen. Wel één grote ruimte wat minder intiem overkomt.

Great place to have something to eat, but don't expect too much. Spaghetti carbonara wasn't the worst I've ever had, but it certainly wasn't the best either.

We have been sitting for 2.5 hours and they only brought us the starter twice….😳 Everything is tasteless and the treatment seems like you have to look for it. The pasta dishes were nothing special. We had to get up from the table and ask them for more drinks… an eternity

Nicely composed menu that creates high expectations, but the cucina Italiana level is nowhere near being achieved here. In my opinion, dishes lack taste and presentation...

Delicious food, friendly staff. You could really eat in peace, not all courses came 3 minutes apart, so we had some time for each other. I think portions are large and you can also opt for the small portions. The only thing I would do is put a bowl of cheese on the table, so that everyone can decide for themselves whether to put more or no cheese on it. And I missed a small wine list on the table itself. Furthermore, it was a pleasant evening.

Delicious food at the Pasta Canteen! This restaurant is definitely suitable for people with celiac disease. There is a gluten-free menu with many options! For the main course you can only choose pasta, but you have plenty of choices. The site states that the kitchen is not free of traces of gluten, but I had no problems afterwards. In terms of portions, I thought the small pasta was quite a lot. Especially if you also eat a starter and/or dessert. All in all, this restaurant is highly recommended! There is also a lactose-free menu available. I have not seen that further, so I cannot say what the options are.

Recently ate here again after a long time, unfortunately the menu had changed and became much more expensive. The quality of the food has also deteriorated, it just wasn't tasty anymore!

It had been a while since we had been here. I was very shocked at the price for a small pasta. 17 euros! No relation to what you get. Very small portion, little taste. I also said this to the shift leader. No more Pasta Canteen for me. Really scandalous and not what I was used to from them.

I have never eaten such disgusting pasta. It seems like you just throw in random ingredients for decoration. It doesn't taste like anything. Ready-made pasta from Albert Heijn is even better. This was my first and last time here

Reserved a table for 2 before visiting the theater. Both ordered pizza, tonno and pollo. Quite sparsely topped with tuna and chicken, with a very tough base that is difficult to cut, even with a serrated knife. Did not excel with other ingredients. Atmosphere good, service fine, but pizza was just disappointing. Try pasta next time.

Nice, cozy and above all nice place. Been several times, always delicious food, fresh, authentic and something for parents, nice atmosphere and very friendly employees. Definitely recommended! We'll be back soon

Must say in advance that I am not a fan of Italian food. Only had a tomato soup. It was nice but expected more. My group's pastas were a bit dry and flat in taste. It's very nice that you can choose a large or small one. Staff is very friendly and helpful!

We ordered 3 hot chocolate with whipped cream, 2 came with 1 without, we asked for whipped cream anyway, she would get it, but when we saw her pouring ramen, 15 minutes later we still asked if it was still coming, it came and after almost an hour waiting for our food but was asked where it was. 10 minutes later they came to say that something had gone wrong and that the food had not been made yet and that it was coming quickly. We just left, we didn't pay for the chocolate milk either, we decided that that was payment for wasting our time. the staff said they were busy but half the tent was empty, we now know why.

Friendly service, good food at average prices. The light could be dimmed a little as it seemed like it’s too bright at 8 PM. It would be nice if there was an option to pay with cash too. We had pasta with salsichia & aubergine parmigiana. Both very good but the pasta was better. The parmigiana could have normal mozzarella instead of smoked which dominates the whole dish.

Ended up here by chance a year or two ago and enjoyed the pastas. We enjoyed it so much that whenever we are even near Breda we find a reason to come and eat here. No crazy prices, good service, good location and plenty of space. And besides, the pastas... they are really delicious. And the quantities are just right. I don't often give restaurant reviews, but the Pasta Canteen never disappoints.

Beautiful restaurant inside and romantic terraces outside. If it were cheesy I would say that it is a "very cute" place. By the way, it is interesting to see a tree that they have and whose fruits are sneakers. Good and fresh pasta, generous portions and above all an extraordinary and very friendly service.

Very beautiful restaurant serving authentic Italian cuisine with a spacious and sought-after interior space with trees integrated into the decor and a very pretty terrace for sunny days. The menu offers anti pastis, salads, toasts but also soups and specialties and suggestions, not to mention a few desserts. All prepared with quality dishes and it shows on the plate. Fast and impeccable service.

The food is delicious and an extensive Italian cuisine. However, we sat at the back of the store and even though it was not busy, we were not seen when we wanted to order.

Ate here for the first time with my girlfriend. The restaurant is located close to the parking lot and in a quiet street in Breda. The food is fresh and delicious and the service is fast and hassle-free. They also donate part of their proceeds (carafes of water) to the food bank, which is a good initiative. In short, a nice place and good food. Highly recommended. Price technically it was on the higher side.

Pasta was mediocre. No fresh pasta.

We had to wait about 40 minutes for our food even though it wasn't busy at all, then it filled up and everyone got their food except us. They lied that it was there within 5 minutes, then it suddenly had to be put in the oven... When we felt hungry we gave it a 6, if we weren't hungry we gave it a 3. A drink as compensation that was still used up afterwards. the bill stood. For a nice Italian I would look for another nice place to eat. I have played marbles with marbles larger than these mozzarella balls.

Cozy, nice looking tent, that's what attracted us. Anti pasta was tasty but the pizza was quite disappointing and I am a real pizza eater. Pizza was very salty and the dough crust was too hard (too crispy), which was a shame. My sister's linguine was also quite dry and a bit bland. In terms of price ratio, I also thought it was too expensive.

After enjoying a delicious lunch at De Pasta Kantine, we recently had dinner here with the family. Both the pizzas and pastas were delicious! You can order many of the pastas in both small and normal portions. A children's menu is also available. The ravioli is definitely recommended (see photo for the small portion). With lasagna you cannot choose small or large. If you are a big eater, this may be too small a portion for you. The service was very friendly and there is a nice atmosphere in the restaurant. We will definitely go back!

Food is very good. The pizzas they now have were also good. I just have the feeling that the concept is not correct. The pizza oven is much too small. When several people order pizza you have to wait a very long time before you get your main course, which it's a shame.

Sfeervol en gezellige plek en heerlijk Italiaans eten in het centrum van Breda. Bij mooi weer ook leuk om buiten te zitten.

Too much public nuisance, yawners.

Heerlijk buiten zitten in het steegje met mooi weer. We namen de pasta bolognaise , heerlijke vleessaus, en de salade met Parmaham en burrata. Een heerlijke salade , kraakverbod en heel groot! Een echte aanrader voor een gezellige lunch.

We ate the most amazingly delicious pizza ever in the world here. We are bon vivants and are really used to something. This was truly a highlight of my pizza eating career.

What I think is a shame is that they use the jazz festival "the special jazz menu only for these days", which is also 4 to 5 euros more expensive on average; not really special... It wasn't a high flyer either. I understand that money has to be made, but not at all costs. I also think it's starting to look a bit American. Quick and get away.

Unfortunately, I have to write a negative review about this place. We ordered soup, pasta, pizza and two teas. Soup and teas were served quickly and tasted great. However, we were waiting for our pasta and pizza for around 40 minutes, and had to remind the waitress about our order. Seems like they completely forgot about it. But I must say that everything was really tasty. Overall, the food is great, but the service leaves much to be desired.

We had to wait a long time probably because it was very busy and we were the only ones sitting at an uncomfortable white table - something like a placemat or cloth would have been nice. But definitely a delicious meal and very friendly service!

Lovely place with great food. We discovered it during Urban Trail Breda. They were so supportive and sweet as we ran through their establishment that we decided to eat there later. I am glad we did. The chicken sandwich we had was delicious and so fresh. The portions were satisfactory and service was very friendly too. Definitely will eat there again! Had a delicious lunch in this restaurant. One of us has an allergy and this was taken into account, which is very nice! The dressing in the salad was really perfect, really made the dish good. Personally, I would like to see more vegetarian options on the menu so that there is more to choose from.

Delicious Italian sandwiches here. Nice setting and friendly service. It's a bit strange that you can't order a pizza before 5pm, but there must be some practical reason for that. Recommended!

Voor een snelle hap is de Pastakantine een oké locatie. Portie was groot en stilde de honger (je kunt kiezen tussen klein of normaal, en ik koos normaal), maar de smaak kon echt wel beter voor de prijs die je ervoor betaalt. Er zijn zeker restaurants waar je betere pasta’s kunt eten.
