Had a great pizza and salad and our server handled our group of 12 excellently!

What a wonderful experience at this restaurant on Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal. We had a delicious meal and the atmosphere was incredibly pleasant. Everything served was freshly prepared and tasted truly fantastic. The lasagna, in particular, was a highlight, where you could see the melted cheese practically jumping off the platter. The fries in the metal basket were also perfectly golden brown and crispy. We will definitely be returning here for another meal.

The spaghetti Bolognese was the best dish of the 5 but nothing special. Pizza was nice and thin. Lasagna was not filling and overloaded with cheese and not enough pasta. The person eating the lasagna was still hungry even after eating bruschetta and the lasagna. However, the real negative is they don't offer large bottles of water and of course no tap. So you have to buy multiple small mini bottles (1 cup) for 4euros each.

We were here for the second time, everything was perfect! The service, the food, we will definitely come back here next time we are in Amsterdam!!!!

The staff is very very friendly and nice! The food was very good, we ordered pasta Napolitana and Bolognese, and the sauce was just amazing and the portions very big. It's a quiet, cozy place that I would return to, for the good food and atmosphere. Also, the bathroom is very, very clean, which I appreciated!

Everything is made fresh and the cheese stick is so cheesy. Pizza is awesome! Carbonara pasta is also very tatsy!

My girlfriend and I were exhausted from all the walking around the city and decided to eat here. The staff was very friendly. It wasn't very busy, and there were plenty of free tables. We sat outside, and unfortunately, the smell of garbage wafted to our table. The outdoor area is quite drafty. It wasn't particularly pleasant, but it was bearable. Therefore, I'm only giving the ambiance 4 out of 5 stars. The food arrived quickly after we ordered, and I really enjoyed my spaghetti Bolognese (see picture) – I had no complaints (5 out of 5 stars). My girlfriend found her spaghetti Neapolitan, which is just regular spaghetti with tomato sauce, too spicy. So, I'm giving the food 4 out of 5 stars.

Very fast yet good food with friendly service. Located not by the canal but by the tram, but nicely done with a covered area in front of the shop and music. Prices are perfectly reasonable.

Got lasagne here and it was very good. About 21 Euros for lasagne and a coke.

Very good lasagna bolognese. Top 3 best I've had. Get it with the garlic bread which comes with fantastic garlic butter.

We were waiting almost an hour just for fries and pizza. The pizza dough was a bit underbaked and not much ingredients, same goes with fries. I don’t know why there are so many good reviews, maybe other dishes have sth better to offer. Just sharing our experience and definitely not recommend.

Lovers of authentic Italian pizza should look elsewhere; mine, the capricciosa, had a smoky taste. The ricotta and spinach ravioli was very good. So, some very good and some not so good. It was a bit chilly on the terrace and also in the upstairs dining room with the door open.

It’s good but the food could be better

Bad restaurant, they don't speak Dutch and I could barely understand them. There was bird poop on a friend of mine's cola bottle. Nothing was done about it. Pizzas were either dry with too much cheese or with way too much fat. A friend of mine got food poisoning and lay in bed vomiting for days.

The staff were welcoming, kind, and helpful. The food was truly delicious. Compliments to chef Nico. It's also wonderful to hear Italian music in Amsterdam. We'll definitely be back.

Had a nice meal here while sightseeing in Amsterdam. Staff were very friendly and efficient and everyone enjoyed the meal. Very suitable for kids, lots of menu options and plenty of space.

Perfect food and service, but a little bit too cold inside the restaurant

The food was okay. However... we had some leftover pizza to take away. Then the waiter touched the leftover pizza with his bare hands and wrapped it in aluminum foil. He was also incredibly unfriendly. A disaster!

We ordered 8 pizzas, which were kinda basic. Not great, not terrible. Did not have a lot of flavors. But for around 17 euros per pizza, there are definitely better places. Bruschetta was not good, the bread was soggy and barely toasted.

Our food was delicious. We ordered a lasagna and the pasta alfredo. We can recommend both!! The server was very nice. What was a bit disturbing was the light. The restaurant was very bright which was not comfortable. But apart from that, it was a good restaurant.

The food was a bit under cooked even though my husband asked for medium it was more medium rare. Also, he was told to pick a side and sauces and then charged for them. I ordered still water which came in a bottle like usual but it definitely tasted like tap water. I have no issues with tap water but I was charged $4 for tap which I personally think is steep.

Honestly, I have to say I was disappointed with the size of the main dish. I had fish and chips, and the fish was very small (about 4 bites). I thought it was a children’s portion — it looked like some kind of joke.My friend ordered ravioli in sauce, and she said they were tasty. If it hadn’t been for the fries and the garlic bread we ordered separately (thank goodness), I would have stayed hungry.

Quite an ok Italian restaurant with good service! We had bruschetta and pizza. The bruschetta seemed to be slices of warmed garlic baguettes straight from the freezer section of the local grocery store. Absolutely nothing to brag about. The pizza was good and raises the rating! Good service!

We went for dinner... we're a family of nine and it's not easy to find a table for everyone... The waitress was very, very friendly and pleasant. And the food was spectacular; we had pasta and pizza. Everything was cooked perfectly and on time. Highly recommended! 100%

The food is very good, typical Italian cuisine. Italian music plays in the background. It's open late into the night, which is rare in the city.

FROZEN Tiramisu!! Arrived to the table still totaly frozen in the middle! No, no and no! Guys look around you inside, this place is dirty from floor,sofas,menus all the way to the top! And dont try to tell me that the Tiramisu was not defrosted cuz it was one piece of Ice in the middle! I prefer rather not to rate the Lasagne. But if you go there-have a detailed look at the place around you while seated,before you order.

Highly recommend this restaurant the pizza and pasta was so delicious. The service was good as well as the music, overall great experience, would recommend it.

We had soup which was very nice. I had salmon with salad, but salmon was not filleted properly and had lots of bones! My friend had a Caesar salad, which was served on a broken plate.

Terrible service. Our table was simply taken for another group, leaving us without a table. The food was okay, but the burger came without sauce and was too dry. The fries were unsalted, and we received the wrong food.

Everyone should avoid going there. The experience was extremely terrible. They even don’t give out tap water when asked. The food was horrible at all. It is so oily and salty. It is definitely not worth going there again! The seat was dirty as well. There were some insects flying around during the whole meal.

Terrible pizzas (tasteless), the "cherry" tomatoes were just tasteless diced tomatoes. We asked for hot sauce to at least give this bland pizza some spice, and we got harissa instead. What's more, we were charged €3 without being informed of the extra charge! One star for the playlist.

Unbeatable food. They don't have tap water, but they do have a very good white wine. The views are unbeatable. Very good value for money.

Update: I went back for another meal here. The owner who saw me the day before came over to greet me. I was surprised and he mentioned that they were giving me an appetizer for free. He also mentioned that the waitress who served me felt bad because she didn't tell me about the extra cost for the hot sauce. The owner name is Marco and is very friendly. He comes to the tables and greets people and takes their orders as well. He made my pasta spicy and also brought me hot sauce just to make sure my food was just right. As usual, the food was amazing and the service superb. Needless to say I will definitely come back for my meals here. The prices are good. Better than anything in Amsterdam. I highly recommend Del Toscano restaurant. Original review: First of all the food is good. I had the spaghetti Bolognese and it was very tasty. I also enjoyed a Heineken to wash it down. When my spaghetti arrived I asked if I could have something spicy. I usually like spice with my food. The waitress went and got a small cup similar to one she had just picked up from another table and brought it to me. The waitress was nice and went about doing her work. I was left alone after that. When I finished I asked for the bill and she brought it to me. I was calculating the tip and then she came back and told me that she needed to add for the hot sauce. I was surprised because she didn't mention anything. The little hot sauce on a small tiny cup was $2.50 Euro. I was disappointed but paid and left. Overall all, the food was delicious, but the service disappointing. I recommend this place but ask the pricing for everything up front. There may be a few extras.

Great "hole in the wall" small restaurant with a varied menu and great beer and drinks. Try there tomato soup, hamburger and fries.

Such a tasteless pizza I ever ate in my life!! Please don’t fall for this restaurant reviews, all items I ordered in photo were legit tasteless and just worst. Not lying but not at all worth eating here.
