I don’t have much to say but the food is absolutely amazing and the staff are super welcoming and friendly!!

Yesterday my wife and I really enjoyed ourselves, the staff was kind, the dishes were insanely delicious, the chef understands the matter. Really brought us home, recommended to anyone who misses! 🔥

Very friendly people. Nice location. The dishes are not expensiv but we took the plate will all variations like in the picture. I found 56€ for that too much. A bit more tasty spices would have been also great. Desserts are great.

We went with 7 people, the place was pretty full, but we were served very quickly. The waiter was charming and the food was delicious. Great place for vegetarians too.

Honestly, the best thing they have is the falafel, it's phenomenal! That's the reason I went. The hummus is just okay.

I tried the hummus with cauliflower, it was delicious; I tried the arayes kebab, it was great; I tried the shakshuka, it was average; and I tried the minced meat with eggplant, it was great. Honestly, it's not all praise, their hummus is just good.

I had dinner on Friday and the food was incredibly delicious. The service team was amazing; they welcomed us with such kindness. The arak was also very tasty. I highly recommend it.❤️❤️

The food is is really good, ive been back several times. Service is a bit wonkey, atmosphere is not really there. Interior is lacking and there is also a sewage smell coming out the back from time to time. It definitely needs an update if you look at the interior.

I don't give out 10s easily, but this place deserves it! The seating is comfortable, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. Even though you're sitting quite close together, there's plenty of room to chat quietly. The service is friendly. The food is delicious. You can tell they use fresh, high-quality ingredients. Their pitas aren't your average supermarket pitas, but (at least, the way they taste) homemade or fresh from a good bakery. Their dishes are just as delicious, with fresh herbs. It's an open kitchen, and we were there a little after lunch. Everything looked spotless. Absolutely top-notch... highly recommended. We'll definitely be back.

Absolutely delicious, very pleasant service, cozy atmosphere, and oriental aromas. Bonus points for the variety of dishes, which appeal to both vegans and meat lovers. A dinner just the way we like them, thank you!

One of the best hummus places ever! great decent portions, amazing flavours, cool service and overall cool place!

Dined in Oct 2025. Lunch for 2. Ordered kababonim (lamb n beef kebabs) n hummus suka. The kebab was juicy , tender, very tasty. The hummus is smooth , full of favor , combined with the egg gave it another texture. Everything was excellent The vibe is chill and relaxing. This is a excellent place to try some middle east food.

Very good hummus and Falafel and the small salads were very tasteful and a nice touch to the meal. The pita bread was perfect and we had a lovely experience! Staff were very helpful and kind!

We had 2 dishes that were very tasty and I hope I can find them again. (Travelling ATM) The kubbeh was delicious and started with the plating. Definitely a dish to eat with your eye. We also shared the Arais that I can only describe as a juicy burger in pita. Everything was tasty. The service quick even though we were told it would take a while because of the kubbeh. Good food, good service and amazing weather.

Amazing restaurant! I tried the falafel, shakshuka, and hummus with kebab – all were super delicious. It’s been a long time since I’ve had Middle Eastern food this authentic. Highly recommended!

I’ve been coming to D&A Hummous Bistro for the past two years and have always enjoyed my visits. Unfortunately, tonight’s experience was disappointing. I brought my parents after talking it up but it fell way short of expectations. Our food arrived lukewarm and the pita bread was cold. Portion sizes also seemed noticeably smaller than in the past. We didn’t receive share plates or cutlery until we asked, and it took a while for them to arrive. The customary pickles that usually start the meal weren’t served until I specifically requested them, and even then the portion felt suited for one or two people rather than a group. I’ve had many great meals here before, but this visit left us underwhelmed.

Not the first time I eat here, but stays the same, the taste and quality of food, friendly service and relaxed atmosphere. And probably the best humus in town.

Excellent Middle East cuisine and good service

A restaurant that serves Levantine cuisine, especially breakfast meals. It is suitable for an after-breakfast meal. The staff are all respectful and hospitable. The chef is Syrian, I thank him very much for the delicious food.

Quality is good but be aware of the menu, it is extremely expensive. Ultimately not worth the high price. Buy a pot of tahin and put an eggplant in the airfryer, put some pomegranate kernels over it. Just saved you 30 bucks.

Amazing food with delicious vegan opties!!

Excellent spot if you’re looking for a place where you can share various plates with friends and family. We brought our 2 year old daughter and she loved the hummus and all side dishes. Service was impeccable. Went on a Sunday, with no reservation and did not have to wait at all. We will certainly come back.

A lovely restaurant with excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere. I tried the falafel sandwich and it was absolutely delicious—crispy, flavorful falafel with fresh vegetables and soft bread. Highly recommended for both taste and service!

The food was great but the service chaotic. They left our wine off the bill and we were kind enough to let them know. My friend decided to tell the manager - privately - that the service had been chaotic at which point he had an absolutely over the top go at my friend and for some inexplicable reason me as I was leaving the restaurant later too. Make sure you don't have any miscommunications with this guy because he'll berate you in front of everyone.

The restaurant is very beautiful and the food is delicious. They treat people with respect. The hummus is very, very delicious. The best thing about the cauliflower and eggplant is that it is light and delicious. It is worth trying.

The dishes were beautiful and plentiful, and the service was friendly and fast. I didn't appreciate the cardamom in my iced tea and would have liked to have been aware of its presence before ordering. The hummus was very good, and the meat was flavorful and tender. The eggplant had far too much tahini sauce to be eaten. The pita bread was excellent.

Good food… large portions (at least the “bit of this and bit of that” for 2, was more than enough for 3 people. I also had a great aperol spritz

Great food, nice atmosphere and an unexpected gem

5 stars are not enough to describe the quality of the food, the combination of flavors, and the excellent service and atmosphere of this bistro! Our waiter's recommendations were spot on; everything was very fresh and the portions were just right! The house lemonade was very balanced and delicious. I recommend the cauliflower hummus, one of the signature dishes. After eating it, you won't be able to stop ordering it.

I’ve been to this location and the one in Amsterdam Zuid several times and it never dissapoints! They nail the hummus every time and the severs are always very kind

I truly enjoyed their hummus plate with roasted vegetables. The veggies were full of flavor and some of that nice char from a grill. Humus was smooth and so so fresh. I loved combining it all on a supper fluffy and hot pita. The sides were delicious as well. I loved their two hot sauces. Hell I like all of it! Highly recommend! The place is cozy and I love the open kitchen and that the kitchen stuff waved hello! Creates a supper cozy and welcoming atmosphere!

The location is clear. The place is small. The service is fast. The Arabic chef was very cooperative with us and made what my children wanted. The hummus and falafel are special. It is worth a visit.

Nice “Israeli” food! Until I see any acknowledgment or support for P🫶🏼lestine, I won’t be going. It’s disappointing to see places that profit from Middle Eastern food while staying silent about the people and culture it also comes from. And that during times of a genocide!

Review of D&A Hummus Bistro, Amsterdam I had a really good experience at D&A Hummus Bistro. The food was delicious, and everything was served quite quickly. While the price is a bit on the higher side – almost €30 per person to try a bit of everything – you do get a wide variety of flavorful dishes, and you definitely won’t leave hungry with their menu. It’s not fine dining or anything mind-blowing, but it’s very tasty, satisfying, and clearly made with care. A solid and enjoyable meal overall. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the mood for Middle Eastern food in Amsterdam.

Lovely spot in a really nice neighbourhood. I had humshuka (hummus and shakshuka!) and halva parfait for dessert. The quality of the food and service were both excellent, really lovely atmosphere as well.

Best falafel I tried in my entire life! I took chef’s special and it sure didn’t dissapoint! Definitely recommend visiting and trying their food. Nice and cosy atmosphere and open kitchen where you can see chefs do their magic. Can’t wait to come again!

I come here whenever I'm in Amsterdam. Everything I've tried has been delicious, and I have fairly high standards when it comes to hummus and pita bread.

I went to this restaurant twice while I was in Amsterdam. It's small and quaint but with absolutely amazing food. I had a homemade iced tea that had anise and cardamom and mint in it. It was delicious. You get a small plate appetizer for free when you order food. It reminds me of the kimchi that you get at a Korean restaurant. Lots of little vegetables in delicious sauces. My favorite dish is the hummus with roasted cauliflower. But everything we ate was just amazing. I'm a vegetarian and this was a great place for me to eat. Reasonably priced with large portions. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant.

Wonderful place. Super kind, probably best to get a reservation ahead of time but we didn’t. We got the sample menu and it was a good amount of food. Felt very authentic, wonderful vibes, the food was creative and felt like art.

Well-frequented bistro with a wide selection of vegan options. Since we wanted to enjoy the sun by the harbor, I ordered the food to go. It was quite busy at the time, and I was kindly warned that it would take about 15 minutes – which I found totally reasonable. (I think it actually took about that long.) I ordered the Hummus Cauliflower dish – it was super tasty and came with nice little sauces and side components. There were also other options available like eggplant, falafel, or roasted veggies. The atmosphere looked really nice too, and I imagine it’s a great place to sit and eat as well. Definitely a lovely spot for a snack or even a full dinner. Excellent restaurant, but let’s set the record straight: this is Lebanese cuisine with some Turkish influences — not Israeli food.

Was recommended this place by a family member, and this was the best meal we had in Amsterdam! The food was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and we really enjoyed the music that was playing. The host and waitresses were accommodating and friendly. We enjoyed everything we ate! Thank you for a great meal and experience.

Small, but hearty place. Everything tasted nice, go for the Chef’s specials if you can and don’t miss out on the Baba Ganoush/Hummus.

It's unfortunate I didn't take any picture, but the food was excellent, the mix of flavours and the quality of the dish was so good. We had some seasonal dishes, one falafel inspired dish and a pita with chicken. They also served me the best babaganoush I've ever had, no burn taste, just delicious. The only issue is, due to it's size and probably great food, it was packed, the waiters kindly offered us a table next to the kitchen, and then when one was available outside offered us to move, it was a great service. I've took one star from the service because during the order process the pita basket was forgotten, but that's okay, in the end the food we got was more than enough for us. If you are in the area, and have time, you should consider tasting their delicious food!

Food was delicious and great quality and the staff were kind but don’t bother with the tasting menu as it is wildly overpriced. For three people the bill was €100 for a platter of mostly vegetables and hummus.
