After a long journey and a late landing at Schiphol, we arrived at this Indian restaurant around closing time. Despite the late hour, we received a very warm welcome, which immediately made us feel welcome. The cuisine did not disappoint: the dishes were full of flavor, perfectly seasoned, and clearly prepared with love. The bitter chicken was rich and aromatic, the naan bread fresh and wonderfully soft. Just what you need after a long journey. I don't like cilantro, and it was no problem at all to leave it out of the dish. The friendliness and hospitality of the staff made this evening extra special. It felt anything but rushed, even though we were perfectly aware of how late it was. A restaurant that excels not only in food but also in genuine hospitality. Highly recommended and a place we'd love to return to.

Each dish had its own unique character and was beautifully presented. You could taste the use of fresh ingredients and authentic Indian flavors. The service was also excellent. The staff were friendly, attentive, and took the time to explain everything thoroughly. We didn't have to wait for anything, and everything went very smoothly. In short: everything was top-notch: the food, service, and atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely return. Highly recommended!

The food and the service is great. Soni took our order and he was so dedicated and thoughtful it made our evening very pleasant. When we sat they gave us free poppadom and sauces. We drank a Indian beer ice cold and the best mango lassi I’ve ever had, they made it fresh to order and you could taste the fresh mango. We ordered the lentil soup (careful is a bit spicy), chicken samosas, chicken curry with ginger and vegetarian curry. It was unbelievable tasty, everything fresh, even the naan they make it themselves. Definetly a place to come back!

Awesome food. We had gosht/lamb vindaloo. Had tears of awesomeness. Had to say- ohhh my gosht!! Had lamb biryani, darbaar special platter as well. Thanks to Soni for making the experience cozy. Highly recommend.

A huge selection of excellent dishes, including several pages of vegetarian options. With freshly made naans available as sides. To find better Indian food you would at least have to cross the Channel.

In response to several negative reviews, we had a very positive experience. We combined the meal with a visit to the theater, which is literally around the corner. We are vegetarian, and we've never had so much choice in a restaurant. The three of us chose three dishes to share. Based on the restaurant owner's recommendation, we chose several different dishes. The only downside was that we couldn't try everything on the menu! The food was delicious, and the naan bread with cheese and peppers was excellent. While the atmosphere in the restaurant might not be to our liking, the food made up for everything.

We had a delicious meal here in a very atmospheric restaurant. The naan bread was good, the mango lassi was good, and the main course was excellent. A great place to combine a visit to the shopping center.

Great indian food far away from india.

Bad experience. The Lassy (yogurt drink) for six people turned out to be quite spoiled (it stung the tongue and smelled foul). The kebab wasn't fresh and tasted sour, so it was also spoiled. The red wine they served wasn't great either. All in all, a bad experience. I tried to excuse the yogurt drink from the bill with the waiter, who barely spoke English, but that proved impossible. It's a shame.

Made a reservation a week in advance. Then, the morning of the reservation, they confirmed it again after sending an email. We drove over half an hour, only to be met with a closed door (even though we had a reservation and, according to Google, the restaurant should be open). We called the number on the website, only to be told the restaurant was closed due to "gas problems." It would have been nice if they had canceled their reservations. Definitely not going back.

We ate here the day before yesterday, and we're still suffering from it today. I have serious doubts about the hygiene and food safety. Who will investigate this restaurant?

I drove for 45 minutes to find a closed restaurant. This despite having confirmed my reservation that morning. The website and Google Maps also stated the restaurant would be open. I contacted the owner, who told me it was closed due to "problems." It's ridiculous that this isn't communicated to customers who, after all, have reservations. They also offered me "something nice next time" as compensation. Disgraceful.

This was my third visit and the last one. I had a worst kadai paneer of my life. Service was poor as always.. I visited again due to food quality but that was pathetic.. Worst kadhi paneer and cold garlin naans 🙄😞

Food was fine. Staff seemed disinterested. Long wait for next course. Indian music was very loud, which made conversation with table companions difficult. Bill wasn't too bad thanks to a discount via thefork.nl. I have eaten there before and had a more positive experience. Won't be back anytime soon.

Delicious food, shrimp and lamb. A little too much sauce, so you could barely taste the shrimp, the lamb was very flavourful. Unfortunately a little too much salt, hope they follow our advice. Tasty red wine, full flavor of the oak.

Service excellent great atmosphere. Lamb curry was good but the butter chicken expected a bit more North Indian style. Too sweet and missed the tomato and sweet combination combo.

Overall food was ok. But when they say spicy, it is not 'european' standard type of spicy . They also have a sneaky way of serving you water, that you didnt order but end up costing 6.50euros for 500ml.

We had reserved a table for today. To our surprise the restaurant was closed, so we drove a bit for nothing. Google indicates that Darbaar is open, and you can reserve a table. We have also just received a reservation confirmation. We really don't think this is service, which is a shame because we have often enjoyed eating here.

Everything looks nice and neat, unfortunately the quality was not good. The first problem came quickly, there was no Coca Cola. The 2nd problem was discovered immediately after the food was too salty, just not tasty. The 3rd problem when paying, the cash register was broken, not worth repeating for us. Unfortunately, it was not as it should be and what you expect from a real Indian kitchen, the food also looked completely different

We missed our flight out from Amsterdam and went to this place just as they were closing up. The staff were friendly and my friend from Punjab ordered takeaway in Punjabi for mutton curry and Dal alongside naan and rice. All 5 of us who had the food were really blown away and it's not just because we don't have good Indian places in Copenhagen. It's as good as most of the restaurants in India. Will definitely revisit the next time I am in Netherlands.

One of the best Dhaba chicken curry I’ve ever had in the Netherlands. The spice level and consistency of the curry were perfect, reminding me of home. The service was amazing too
