The best coffee in the city center

Both coffee and food are good/tasty! Various kinds of coffee, also plenty non-dairy options available. You can sit inside, but if the weather is nice, they have benches outside too. Take-away is also an option. Central location in city center of Alkmaar, if you’re in the center; it’s always in walking distance 😇 Run by a kind and understanding crew

I went for coffee today; I went for an iced frappuccino and my boyfriend for an Arabica coffee. The staff were really super nice and I had the best frappuccino ever. I will definitely be back here💕!!

Fantastic local roastery. ​The coffee here is excellent—it’s clear they roast their own beans with a lot of care. The owner is also very kind and clearly knows his stuff. A great, relaxed spot if you’re looking for a high-quality cup. Highly recommended!

I have ordered an iced mango matcha and i was kind of disappointed with how the drink was created. They first added little matcha and added the rest of the whole drink milk, for this drink the price also wasn’t worth it. The price was €7.20 and their drink didn’t even taste like pure matcha, it just tasted like syrup water. Overall i give this place 2 stars and I wouldn’t recommend coming here if you want matcha.

Delicious coffee, hot chocolate, cookies, wraps, and a very nice owner. After the renovation, the seating is also much better and the atmosphere is very cozy!

Drinking coffee in the historic city is a wonderful experience.

Unfortunately, the quality of the coffee served has declined significantly. We used to be regulars, but that's all changed since our visit last week. I understand there's been a change of ownership. That explains a lot. You can barely taste the coffee anymore. And that's precisely what we came for. It's a shame the quality has suffered.

The cappuccino was good, but we were charged for a large one without asking, even though other sizes were available, as I only noticed afterward. Although we specified when ordering that we wanted to consume our drinks in the restaurant, they were served in paper cups. We refused them. At these prices, we expect at least a glass or porcelain cup. It's also better for the environment. Incidentally, almost all the other guests in the restaurant were using paper cups!

Have been there once, while we were in Alkmaar, had their falafel sandwich, dirty chai and cappuccino . The highlight was dirty chai and falafel sandwich.

We came here on the Christmas day and surprisingly it was open and the coffee quality was good!

They have really delicious sandwiches here. I was here this afternoon with my daughter, and the chai latte is delicious! We will definitely be back! A fantastic experience!

I had a flat white there – and hadn't eaten or drunk anything else beforehand… about 20 minutes after we left the café, I had to sprint to the next place because the drink was trying to use the entrance as its exit. Thanks for this unpleasant experience and the obvious food poisoning from spoiled milk. I would give it zero stars, but then I wouldn't be able to write anything here.

I came from Jordan especially to try the matcha with coconut milk and hot strawberry it was delicious and honestly worth the flight , thank u for this amazing service

We come to Darras every week and enjoy the most delicious sandwiches and coffee every time. The owner and staff are incredibly attentive, and there's a wonderful atmosphere. Definitely recommended! (Be sure to pet the cat while you're there for the full experience.)

A friendly barista makes an excellent flat white and chai latte. Four stars because there's seating inside, but no restroom.

A really nice place to enjoy a drink. There's a wide selection of coffees and other beverages. It looks fantastic, and the atmosphere is great; it's beautifully decorated. The owner is very kind and patient, and we received excellent service. And not to forget: the resident cat! When we walked in, we were greeted by a very affectionate cat—a real sweetheart. That made this place even more enjoyable. In short, definitely recommended. I will definitely be back.

The coffee ☕️ was AMAZING and really affordable. The owner Tristan is very knowledgeable and friendly. In addition to that, the Falafel wrap was super delicious! The best tasting falafel I’ve ever had so far. Chippie the house cat 🐈‍⬛ is also very cute!

Simple & tasty! Delicious rolls that you don't have to wait for hours. Personally not enough with 1 roll. But a normal price for a meal (this is hard to find in 2025).

Milk steamed way too hot! They have no bathroom and they serve food. Where do i wash my hands? Coffee is too roasted and has a burnt aftertaste. Staff is polite.

Nearly no language skills. Got billed but didn't get any product, as I had to take care of my children first outside (yes it took quite a while). Did not get the cold coffee, nor a refund. Just go next door instead! No language skills. I ordered, paid, took care of the wet kids outside (which took forever) and in the end I didn't receive any service. They made the coffee and then threw it away.

Very tasty wraps eaten there... unfortunately it's hard to tell from the outside that there is also delicious food in addition to coffee specialties.

Food was quite good. We had two wraps, spicy chicken and halloumi, with soft drinks for a reasonable price. Only 3 stars though, because the service wasn't too great. (The guy was talking to the one other customer/friend of his(?) and ignored us for quite a while. Our order was finally taken after we moved from the counter to the seats and back to the counter, were already thinking about leaving again. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind waiting, but the floor is tiny and we were the only other people in there, so a simple smile and hello, or "I'll be with you in a minute", would have made a huge difference)

The coffee and chai latte were truly excellent! The service and interior are nothing to speak about. The coffee was served in paper cups, while we wanted to drink on the spot. There was actually no attention for the customer at all, an order could just be completed, otherwise no friendliness at all. Too bad, but luckily the coffee and tea made up for it!

The food was very good, (I took the chicken roll) maybe a little more sauce. The price is a bit expensive But the rest is very good at all.

We drank the dirty chai latte which was damn good. We ate the fallafel roll. I have to say that the snails were very tasty in typical Arabic style and pleased the tongue

Great place to relax and have a tasty cup off coffee.. all what you need in a cold day is a spicy chicken roll .. fresh iced lemon is just spot on in a hot day … well done guys. 👍

Freshly roasted coffee with a rich aroma and fresh burritos that are not pre-made are delicious. The burritos are made to order, and the ingredients are juicy and the crispy rolls are the best I've ever had.

Food and coffee are good, nothing special though. Reading the reviews, I was expecting something better. The Arabian Spicy Roll is tasty and spicy. Customer service can be improved, cause it looks sometimes like clients are bothering the guys.
