Good fries, their peanut sauce is nice

Wandering around Amsterdam, visiting the seven bridges. Just so calming to walk by the canals. You stumble into a plaza with a Chicago bean like art piece. You spot two fellows chomping on cones of fries! Cones of fries! With dressing on top! You spot the house of fries and you have get a snack to share with the family. Huge debate over size which dressings. You settle on a cone of fries to share. He makes the fries fresh to order! Coming from USA we have been cheated on our mass produced 🍟. Hot from the fryer! So basic so tasty. They take their fries seriously here in Amsterdam. We ended up getting some other items but the fries rock. Great snack. Friendly service. Great deal on street food. Not fancy like those posh fries at the sit down, but amazing snack to share as you walk, sit and stare at the silver bean-like sculpture. Reflect on Rembrandt and absorb the rich culture. Fries done right are just so awesome, but be careful straight from the fryer them things are hot.

The garlic sauce might be the best thing in the entire world!!! And the fries are pretty crispy good

De Belg is a fantastic spot if you are looking for authentic and delicious quick bites in Amsterdam! The quality of the food is outstanding, and you can really taste the freshness in every bite. While the service was good and the staff were friendly, it could be slightly faster during peak hours, but the food definitely makes up for it. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a high-quality, tasty experience in the city center. A solid choice!

Good Belgium style fries -My hotel was in the area, i came here 2 times durring my stay for fries.

Never eat churros! They're frozen churros... they were overcooked and tasteless. The bottom of my cone was full of oil. Yuck

The fries are very nice. And no long queues like other fries joints. I’m Belgian myself and I must say the potato’s they use for the fries are tasty and the Flemish mayonaise is nice too.

The fries were generally fine, with a fair amount of salt. A medium portion was more than enough, but there was a lot of grit at the bottom. The service was excellent. The price is a bit high, though. €4 for a small, €5 for a medium, and €6 for a large, excluding sauce. Regular sauce is €1 and special sauces are €1.50, which is a real expense.

The fries are not bad honestly. I like how they are bigger and thicker - also very crunchy. I think there are better and more famous spots in Amsterdam regarding fries but this one is good as well.

Unfortunately it was defective, taste was not good, the oil used was really bad, defective.

Too bad they give you leftovers every time instead of the long fries that they leave in the container and don't serve up.

The order was for small fries, for 4 euros, one euro for ketchup, and one euro for mayonnaise, meaning a total of 6 euros The taste is excellent 👌🏼.

Fries were soft and we had some burnt fries in our bag

After having eaten fries everywhere in the Netherlands and Europe, I can say with certainty that this is one of the very best. Even abroad they say it. Together with their branch at Damstraat 22 (where you can stand inside) and Vleminckx at the Heiligeweg and of course Pietersma snacks in the Albert Cuijp market.

Me and my friends orders some fries with cheese and for my surprise a fly was in my fries and the person that just sold me that he told me it was not from they kitchen , disgusting experience very bad customer service and hygiene worst

I ordered large french fries, but I was given a very small amount. The topping was cheese, but it tasted very bad. The potatoes are not crispy and the taste did not satisfy me. The price was very high compared to other stores. I won't go back to this store again👎🙃

Just the taste of French fries. The sauce was all over the French fries and got all over my hands. Is there a fork or something? The staff wasn't very friendly. It's hard to recommend.

The french fries was good but they messed up our order and for two medium size with truffle mayonnaise and parmesan we payed 24€... same order with better quality you can find everywhere in Amsterdam and cheaper...

Ideal to try the classic Amsterdam fries, the staff is very friendly and correct.

Pretty solid fries but the guy working was touching all the food and cash with his bare hands without washing. He was working alone, but definitely questionable safety standards.

Con 4€ ho mangiato le patatine fritte migliori che abbia mai assaggiato (nulla a che vedere con quelle vendute nei fast food!). Per aggiungere una salsa c'è un supplemento di 1€ e il prezzo varia a seconda delle dimensioni. Io ho preso la porzione piccola. Il locale offre anche altre pietanze, tra cui anche dolci. È possibile pagare sia in contanti che con la carta e il servizio è stato rapido ed efficiente. Esperienza sicuramente positiva!

Best Patatjes (fries) in Amsterdam. Order the "oorlog" (= potato war) and get all the favorite local toppings. Be brave and add onions. Or just get the "pinda saus" (peanut sauce) and try something new! The fries are served in a "puntje" (paper cone). And don't forget to get you wooden "vorkje" (fork) to eat them with. (Only the tourist eat with their fingers!!) Yummy!

It says Churros on the menu, so why was it disgusting? The oil was gross and old and 3 cm of it stood in the bottom of the paper cone. And the price for that garbage was painfully high. The chips were fine but the Small portion was so greedily small that the grumpy service that came with it was just insulting.

Muy ricas las sweet potatoes con la mayo de trufa, eso fue lo que probamos, fueron 7.5€ el paquete largo con la salsa incluida. Para las chips normales y salsas, el precio es mas económico que otras friturias en la ciudas

Patat is echt top, een van de beste van de stad. Personeel daarentegen minder, niet echt klantvriendelijk. Ze zitten ook vaak op hun telefoon, of praten met elkaar als je wilt bestellen.

Kom hier al jaren maar heb nog nooit zo weinig patat gehad als vandaag. Ik had een medium besteld maar leek wel Xtra Small en dat voor 4 euro. Heel gierig! Beetje jammer hoor. Degene voor mij bestelde een kleine met mayo en kreeg ook 1 druppel saus. Ik ga nog wel een keer als er iemand anders achter de toonbank staat om te kijken of ik van diegene ook zo weinig krijg. Zo Ja, dan is het meteen de laatste keer.

Se eu disser que todo final de noite minha esposa e eu paramos no De Belg para comermos bata frita, ela com cheddar e eu com maionese ou sem molho algum, significa que adoramos a batata frita daqui? Pois é, ADORAMOS!! Vale muito comer uma batata frita do De Belg!!

Fatigués après une bonne journée de visite d'Amsterdam nous avons commandé par hasard grâce à Uber Eats. Burger simple et bon. Les frites... Les meilleures mangées depuis longtemps : high level !
