The lunch is very tasty, but some servers speak little to no Dutch and do not notice when you have finished eating and want to ask for the bill.

First, we had drinks on the terrace here with friends, spending a fortune. Then we wanted to go inside, and a friend of mine was refused entry by the bouncer because he was doing MBO (vocational education) and therefore isn't a student according to the bouncer, even though women here don't even have to show their student cards. And then the man holds the door wide open; what a hypocritical bunch.

Friendly and spontaneous staff. The food is served quickly. Large terrace; when the weather is nice, you can enjoy eating outside. Highly recommended.

After having two rounds of drinks with 12 people (over 100 euros), we were asked to leave because there were two too many people at the table. And I didn't find the way she informed us very friendly.

The food was okay, but the salad was incredibly bad and tasteless. The spareribs and steak were okay. The waiter spilled a glass of rosé over us; he did come to apologize, but that was it. On top of that, the meal took quite a long time and it wasn't very busy. All in all, we will look for a different place next time.

Delicious sandwich and very reasonably priced for such a central location! And what a huge selection of non-alcoholic beers, truly amazing. Despite all the crowds, the staff here remains calm, patient, and polite.

This Cafe Restaurant is located right in the middle of the Neude. A good spot to get a good look at every passerby 😜 while simultaneously enjoying the dishes and drinks you can order. Undoubtedly a successful evening, and with bellies full, off to another hotspot....

We, as a group of 9 women wanting to come for a drink on a Saturday evening (bachelorette weekend), are NOT welcome here. You are shown the door and told to leave!!! Discrimination.

The bouncer seems to be quite the boss. We placed an order on the terrace, and when we wanted to go inside to use the toilet, we were sent away by an arrogant security guard. Ridiculous.

You order something on the terrace, but a security guard thinks he's so important that you're not allowed to go to the toilet.

Sitting in the "market" is a really great location. There's a convivial atmosphere and the selection of drinks is excellent.

Our group really had to change formation several times because of the staff. They were not friendly.

Excellent restaurant. I had a reservation but arrived early to eat. I had ravioli and a glass of rosé. The staff were friendly and attentive. My English isn't very good, but everything went smoothly. I recommend it.

Tasty food with good presentation. However, there was a couple next to us who were served dirty wine glasses and complained about it (rightfully so), and the staff were somewhat indifferent about it, after which they poured the wine from the dirty wine glass into a washed glass with water still in it, naturally out of sight of the customer. They also kept us sitting for a while until we could place our order, but that is forgiven given how busy it was, and it didn't take very long before we received our order.

my friend was literally assaulted by a security guard while we were dancing on the dance floor. he was forcibly pulled outside although he did nothing wrong. the guard said that he elbowed him but this is completely untrue and i was dancing next to him and can confirm that this did not happen. the guards were also all lying by saying things which he never did, and also were not cooperating when we were trying to calmly solve the situation. his glasses were also thrown on the ground and had scratches on them and there were also choke and scratch marks on his neck which we have picture evidence of too. this was completely disproportionate reaction since he did not even do anything wrong and we will be taking action with the police about this. do not come to this place!!!!

Stay away from lunch here took an hour before we got food, Drinks after half an hour Burrata sandwich was like a piece of cardboard, inedible. A friend of mine had carpaccio that tasted like rubber (simple frozen junk) and the hot chicken sandwich tasted like cheap döner. Making such simple sandwiches wrong is an art

Bad service, premix drinks, unfriendly staff.

I was arbitrarily assaulted during a night out by a security guard, who didn't even tell me why he was being violent towards me. The assault led to police action and even after that, management falsely accused me of elbowing said security guard as a response to my complaint email. They also damaged my glasses (without which I cannot see) and refused to offer compensation. Avoid this place at all costs!

Bad experience. - = Tip(s). + = Top(s). - Ordered a toastie without cheese due to lactose intolerance; the first time a ham & cheese toastie arrived, sent it back, then the ham toastie arrived! Unfortunately, I saw some leftover cheese on my toastie even though I had clearly indicated that I could not eat cheese due to intolerance. - When settling the bill, they only said sorry, but I still had to pay the full bill. - Toilets are dirty. + Staff is friendly. + The fair is located in a good spot.

The wine is fine, the mocktails are also tasty, but the small glass is a disaster. The first beer was flat, then I ordered another one, and that was flat too. I pointed it out to the waiter, and a few minutes later she came over with a new beer, and you’ll never guess! Also flat. I mentioned to someone else that this beer was flat; this woman came back within 3 seconds with probably the same beer because, well, this one was flat too!

Had to wait an hour for a hamburger that was far too salty and dry. We were not said goodbye, and when we indicated that the food was disappointing, there was no response.

It was a terrible experience. I will never go there again. We entered the restaurant around 5 PM and ordered a Caesar salad, french fries, and apple pie. The fries were served at 5:16 PM, and we then ordered drinks. The drinks arrived about 10 minutes later, and at that time, we were asked if it was okay to bring the salad and apple pie, which we agreed to. However, the food took a long time to arrive, and when we inquired around 6 PM, we were told that the Caesar salad was sold out. Even when we explained that we had ordered it initially, the waiter laughed and said they didn't know what the previous waiter had said, which we found unpleasant. Furthermore, the table next to us, which entered after us, was served Caesar salad, which we found unacceptable. We were told the apple pie would take 5-10 minutes, so we ordered it again and left. We can communicate in English without any problems, so it wasn't a language issue; the way they handled the situation left us with serious questions. Terrible experience. I will never come back. We visited around 5:00 PM and ordered a Caesar salad, fries, and an apple pie.The fries arrived at 5:16 PM, and we ordered drinks afterward. About 10 minutes later, the drinks were served, and we were asked if it was okay to bring the salad and apple pie — we said yes. However, the food never arrived. Around 6:00 PM, we asked about our order, and were told the Caesar salad was sold out. Even though we had ordered it at the beginning, the staff member laughed and said they didn’t know what the previous staff had communicated, but it was sold out. Meanwhile, another table that arrived at least 15 minutes after us was served two Caesar salads, which was very confusing and disappointing. We asked about the apple pie and were told it would take 5–10 minutes, so we reordered only that and left. We had no issues communicating in English, but this was one of the worst service experiences we’ve ever had.

Looks nice, but I've never had such bad service. They forgot everything and you have to wait way too long for your drinks!! We got our first drink after asking twice, after 50 minutes?! Do something about your staff!🤮

After waiting for an hour and still nothing! Did ask the waitstaff and she's still not back, how bad!!!!! Oh, she's here, something went wrong in the kitchen. So drinks are free, yummyyyyyyy.👍🏽

Terrible experience. Ordered a fried egg sandwich. Long wait and received the wrong order THREE times. Nice and sunny on the terrace and friendly service. It is clear, however, that the size of the terrace exceeds the capacity of the kitchen and service. I leave dissatisfied and hungry. Treated respectfully when filing my complaint.

A recent experience on the terrace of this location left us with mixed feelings. It is an acceptable place for a short break, and the location itself is certainly attractive. The drinks were of acceptable quality. However, as can be seen in the attached photo, the presentation of the beer left something to be desired (note the limited head on the beer in the tulip glass). The bar snacks, consisting of various spring rolls and breaded shrimp, also tasted good, but in our opinion were too expensive in relation to the quality and quantity offered. Unfortunately, the staff was very busy, which came at the expense of politeness and customer friendliness. All-round, a barely passing grade, but certainly no more.

I had drinks one night including cocktails that were great. On another evening my group ordered meals and these were also fantastic as well as being excellent value. Once again, the service was flawless.

I have never experienced such bad service. Unfriendly, uninterested, and downright antisocial. Furthermore, it is a very unhygienic place.

I wanted to have a quick drink with my daughter on the terrace, but it was disappointing. The table and menus were dirty, and the staff at the door still didn't respond after waiting 10 minutes, even though they saw my raised hand. So we just walked away and went somewhere else for a drink and something to eat 🤷‍♂️.

We ordered regular fries, received a portion, and ate it. Then we were charged a completely different amount because apparently we got fries from the “drinks menu.” We didn't get a refund even though we didn't want that portion. Otherwise, it was tasty and fun!! 😜

Friendly staff, good food. It is a pity that there are NO gender-neutral toilets available. I felt very uncomfortable, particularly as a non-binary transgender person. Hopefully, in the future, I will be able to use the toilet without worry.

We wanted to sit on the terrace with a group because the weather was nice again. Four of our friends were sitting at one table. The three of us walked in to take the table next to them, a separate table. The waiter said this wasn't possible. This guy thought we were too large and that he would be too busy? We couldn't move the table because that wasn't okay, but we weren't planning on doing that because they were already next to each other. We offered to just pay for it on a separate bill, already two separate tables because of his busy schedule. This wasn't acceptable either, and we had to leave the terrace. He was rude to us and just shouted, "I'm not going to argue." Then, the only thing he said was, "Get off my terrace, don't talk to me like that." We couldn't use the terrace, and he was a rude young man. xxx

I celebrated my graduation party and birthday here. The space is beautiful, and the staff is always ready to help and think along with everything. They had a lot of creative input. Everything was perfectly arranged on the night itself, so I didn't have to worry about a thing. Kudos to the staff! I definitely recommend it for your own party!

A fantastic experience. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great, and the service was excellent. We even got a complimentary drink because they said it was taking a little longer in the kitchen. Definitely worth repeating.

What a lovely restaurant in Utrecht! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the Beursburger is highly recommended — super delicious and perfectly prepared. The service is friendly and attentive, just what you'd expect when dining out. A quick tip regarding food waste: ask guests if they'd like a salad with their burger. This prevents unnecessary food from being thrown away. But it's still 5 stars anyway 👌🏽

What a dump! We weren't allowed in three evenings because, supposedly, only students are allowed in. But behind us stood a much older man with two female companions who, of course, was allowed in. They don't deserve our money! ;)

It's a nice spot, and I've always been satisfied. But last night, September 26th, we had such a rude waitress. 30 seconds after we paid, a new customer walked up to us and told us the waitress had said he could sit at our table. He then asked the man how long we'd be staying, etc. It was really rude to be shown to our table while we still had drinks, etc. Then the waitress rudely dismissed us in a very angry tone with, "Yeah, you haven't ordered anything in a while, and we have new guests, so can you leave?!" I won't be coming here again. Thanks for the unpleasant experience.

Quite unhelpful and unfriendly staff. When a 6th person joined out group, a staff member quite unfriendlily came to tell us only 5 people were allowed at one table and summoned one of us to leave. No explanation, no solution, no patience, no apology. Very interesting way of working in hospitality.

We were sent away from the terrace in a very unfriendly manner after someone joined later, and we were not given the option to sit inside or somewhere else, even though it was relatively empty inside.

The location is nice, but that's about it... The snacks were fine, but nothing special. The service was very poor; the staff was disinterested. When I politely pointed out that a drink was missing from my order, I was asked if I was really sure. Then, after a long wait, the now-dead beer was almost dumped on the table. We weren't allowed to sit on the terrace with six people. While there was a table next to us with eight people, we had to sit at the group table at the edge of the terrace. Perhaps because we were with a group of six guys who sometimes make a bit more noise. That's fine, but just be honest about it. It's a shame, because the location is nice.

Lovely, large terrace, the service was very friendly. And the food was delicious! Unfortunately, there was no baby changing table in the restaurant, and it sometimes took a while to get the staff's attention.

Very nice ambient and location, in the heart of the city with a beautiful plaza, it´s usually very full, specially the outer-most tables. We ordered cocktails and beers, they were very good, decent prices.

This place is located in the center of Utrecht. It has a lovely terrace. It's a shame the service was rather cold and unprofessional. We ordered two iced coffees. The colors of the coffees were different, as was the taste (see videos). Not good at all. The place is pretty, but the rest is best left alone. I do not recommend it.
