It's dark. The driveway is narrow. Everything closes for the night.

Good food, but what a lot of money..

We went last Saturday and had coffee and pastries and a meal. It was cold inside, and I had to keep my coat on, so we quickly left.

Last Sunday I went there, what a shame. When you drive onto the grounds and you look to the right you see a big mess that is closed off. When you enter the restaurant, it looks like a restaurant from the GDR period, such a poor interior. When you go to the toilet you are shocked that everything looks worn out. The floor is on the walls they have glued PVC to make it look at least somewhat. The quality of the food is good, but the appearance is disappointing.

Not much filling in the pea soup compared to other La Place.

Great place for a lunch break and/or temporary work place

The bread was delicious and fresh 👍😏 It was great that we had lunch on the road!

The bouncer was good, staff friendly, only the toilets needed to be fixed, a toilet door was loose in the room and a urinal had a bag over it.

I'm giving this La Place 3.5 stars because the building it's in is quite dated. The decor is charming, the food is good, and the staff is friendly. The focaccia with tuna is delicious, as is the smoothie.

Neat restaurant. Clean and accessible. Delicious coffee and sandwiches. Hot meals are also available.

The food is fine, but that parking lot is a disgrace... what a dilapidated, dreary mess. It's time something were done about it!

Far too few staff for the number of customers. The food took a long time to be ready, and there was nothing ready to help yourself. Despite this, the taste was ultimately excellent.

Hamburger I expected a decent sandwich from La Place. Disappointing ☹️

Not the best La Place. Toilets not very clean, there a smell when entering the old builsing which can ue some renovation. Serice was excellent and very friendly though.

This used to be an AC Restaurant, and as everyone knows, it was incredibly bad. It's been a LaPlace for quite a few years now, and that's not bad. At least the food is fresh and hot, and the coffee doesn't taste strange. But this location in De Meern remains a very uninviting, cheap, and especially shabby establishment. Why isn't it thoroughly renovated? The atmosphere still has that 80s vibe. Furthermore, LaPlace in general is quite expensive. Almost 7 euros for a relatively simple sandwich. Almost 5 euros for a smoothie. It's not really in proportion, because LaPlace isn't that fancy, of course. It's relatively fresh, but that's about it. I only go there when I have no other choice.

Found it very disappointing and quite expensive

Deferred maintenance. It's not inviting to sit there. The air conditioning was way too cold (13 degrees outside). Coffee was cold. Pastries were old and dried out. Never again at LaPlace!

Great food... mediocre parking... old and rickety furniture. It really needs a facelift.

The coffee is simply not good. The tables aren't clean, and the restrooms are filthy! I won't be coming here again...

It's overpriced for the quality of the sandwiches. The sandwiches are tasty, but they've become increasingly "stripped down" over time. A chicken sandwich was definitely worth a detour a few years ago. Now I easily drive past it.

I had to wait 30 minutes for a cappuccino

I ordered two matchas with coconut milk and vanilla syrup. To my surprise, they used gluten-free oat milk, which I had not requested and do not like. After consultation, I agreed to regular milk. Because the order was for on the go, I explicitly asked if the drinks had been made correctly – this was confirmed. To my surprise, I received two cups that were less than half full. When I indicated this, they said that it was “as it should be”, which is absolutely not right for a drink costing €4.95. Once in the car, it turned out that the matchas even contained coffee – something that is absolutely not supposed to happen. I found it annoying that the employee dismissed my concerns, as if I were the problem. This is not the service I am used to from La Place. It is worrying that one employee makes so many mistakes, shows no product knowledge, and treats customers badly. I felt completely unwelcome and even discriminated against. I would like to urge better training of staff and serious attention to customer friendliness.

Good food but that building and the surroundings.

What would you eat for?? What are you going to order?? What is the route?? For a sandwich it seems doable to me, but composing a menu yourself, Under the guise of, figure it out for yourself......TOTALLY NOT MY THING!!

Faded glory, used to be decent, now a run-down impression. Looked quiet when we arrived around 18:30, despite long waiting times at the counters to be able to order, part of the dishes were no longer in stock, part of the cutlery was gone. Fries were ok, but hamburgers tasteless. Too few but friendly staff. We will not come here again.

Unfortunately all food almost on Sunday 19.15. Everyone was already cleaning up Grill of wokcentre was already off. Vegetables finished. Juices not cold. Bread of the burgers not fresh. Nice staff in itself

Roadside restaurant, great for a cup of tea or coffee. For a quick bite to eat when you're on the road, it's a great option.

Good and cheap food. Day fresh. Fresh salad, you can choose. All organic products. No fast food or junk. You can choose healthy food. Very friendly staff. Greet you immediately upon entering. Works hard, is alert, thinks along with you. My pager wasn't working properly and someone immediately brought my food. Unfortunately I wasn't allowed to tip. My too good to go package was also very nice for 5 euros. In short, I will go here more often! Keep it up :D and feel free to build more branches in the Netherlands. And keep healthy choices!!

Excellent, centrally located, and practical to meet up and have a coffee.

We booked via social deal, but due to traffic we would not make it before 11am (the voucher could be scanned until then). Ellen thought along with us and made sure we could still enjoy a delicious breakfast! Thanks for that. There is a nice and relaxed atmosphere. There is also a possibility to work there with your laptop (wifi available).

Just a stopover at La place. When you talk about la place, you certainly think of quality, delicious food and very customer friendliness. In this case the winter deal chicken burger with fries and a cappuccino. Chicken burger deal and fries is definitely recommended. Customer friendliness: to say we don't do that, it's always better to suggest other options. The cappuccino, it was on the cold side very quickly... it got cold really quickly. Really substandard for cappuccino. There is certainly room for improvement in this regard.

What a ball tent. 1, parking facilities for freight vehicles, they do not need food. 2, a roadside restaurant and close its doors at 8 p.m. What a sad mess.

The food is prepared without any interest and is delivered lukewarm or even cold or has been left under a lamp or just next to it for too long. The staff is not motivated at all to make anything of it. They see you but let you stand at the grill bar until you ask if you can still order. The lady from the kitchen then turns her back to you! A sandwich with tasteless cheese and a wilted lettuce leaf for €6 is pure extortion. The interior appears to be from the GDR.

Things are already going wrong when you drive into the parking lot at this La Place. Whether you come with an average passenger car 🚗 or with a big SUV with large tires 🛞 You really unknowingly destroy your tires and/or chassis of your car! This has been like this for years, so I don't understand it. Maybe they are sponsored by local car company 🤷🏼‍♂️? And not only La Place customers suffer from this, those from STAR BUCKS also use the same site. So join forces and do something about it together 😉💪🏻 Despite this recurring frustration, I only go there because this La Place is centrally located. It is also a seriously run-down building without atmosphere and/or coziness and has nothing in the way of appearance that you are used to from the other La Place locations in the Netherlands. It's a real shame. Unfortunately, I can't say anything more than that they have sufficient (poor) parking and free internet. And that is also noticeable because if you do come there, there are many time blocks when there is no chicken 🐓 to be found! It is such a beautiful location to make something beautiful, but I'm afraid I'm the only one who still sees this...

Were here on January 18, 2025 around 6 p.m. Everything was almost gone, cutlery not replenished. You get a beeper and it takes a relatively long time. Food was disappointing. We're not going back.

Remember? That there was always so much choice at La Place and generous sandwiches and filled pasta/wok? Well not at La Place de Meern. I have never seen such a tiny layer of herb cheese on a sandwich... Very little choice, and that at 5:30 PM... Incomprehensible. The prices were not cheap either. Almost 19 euros for a small bowl of soup, a small salad, a cheese stick and spa red.

The concept of La Place is excellent. Nothing to complain about the food. The building is in need of renovation. Toilets in poor condition and not fresh.

Great place for a coffee and a snack.

Nicely equipped location and ample parking. I think the entrance to the parking lot could be clearer. The toilet room is outdated. Staff top notch. Prices on the high side, but that's the times and quality also matters. But the mint tea could be filled with a little more mint and it gets cold too quickly

We come here almost once a month and usually the food is good. Today unfortunately the fries did not taste good, I don't know what was wrong with them, and the Vega burger was not tasty. This has a very unpleasant aftertaste. We won't do that again. Even supermarket Vega burgers are less dirty. I hope this doesn't become a trend....

Made an appointment with someone for lunch and a catch up.

I ordered a wok and I only got 6 mini pieces of chicken. That lady said that's how it should be and my wife took prawns and she got a lot of prawns in her food and I also got very little sauce and very few vegetables so NOT recommended

Very mediocre roadside restaurant

I had lunch here for work. Very nice atmosphere, nice, neat employees. I'd love to come back.

Atmosphereless with many dirty tables and too young staff. Chose the wok, where the shrimp had to be found and then they were just like hard rubber. After a complaint it turned out that there are more complaints about this. Then I ate fries. The parking lot is dark and you even have to be careful when you get off that you don't step out of place in such a dark place. Things are just not right here. Shame La Place was such a nice good place to eat. We'll never come here again.

The soul is out of the building and the food. I understand that the prices are higher for an A1 location, but the food is just as comforting and tasteless as the surroundings. Avoid this location and spend your money elsewhere.

This is not a very cozy La Place, lots of fries and little satay.

We used to think La Place was really nice and good. Now expired uninterested tent. Around 6 p.m. there were three tables occupied. 3 staff. We were 3 people. Food was not ready at the same time. Chicken satay contained hard pieces. 1 skewer of chicken satay with fries for 18.50 is outrageously expensive. At snack bar Verhage you can eat much better for at least 35% less. To be honest, La Place is a thing of the past for us.

What a crappy tent! Chicken satay for 18 euros.... 1 mini skewer without the promised atjar, a little bit of fries. Was served cold... complaining doesn't help, you will be turned away by ignorant, rude staff. Tip, drive past quickly!

La Place, we are happy to make a detour. The pastries and sandwiches are always of good and known quality. In addition, the pampering coffees are also a real favorite at our mother-daughter outings. I was always a fan of the salad buffets, but I think they have diminished over time. It's also nice that there is always a water tap available. The room itself is not very cozy, unless you sit by the window. Parking is one thing, how people drive there... be careful, it is often busy with people in a hurry.

Plenty of room to sit. Nice chairs. Nice choice of dishes, self-service. It is quiet, a great place to get some work done or plan a meeting. Sufficient toilets available and also clean. It's a good place for a tasty lunch if you need a break on the A12 highway.

The food itself is good, but quite pricey for what you get. The atmosphere lingers in the 90s. Old stuff.

Quite expensive sandwiches with little filling

Last Sunday my colleague and I went to eat at La Place in De Meern, and this was a huge mistake. We ordered two portions of satay and one hamburger, but what followed was a hellish night and a day of illness. While eating we noticed that the satay had a strange taste, but because we were very hungry, we continued eating anyway. In retrospect, we should have stopped immediately and listened to our gut feeling. Not long after, my colleague and I became deathly ill. Stomach cramps, nausea and the rest – it was no fun. Today we had to call in sick from work because we spent most of the day on the toilet bowl. We would like to warn everyone: DO NOT eat at La Place in De Meern!

Cowardly chicken burger and greasy fries. No longer those double-fried Flemish fries that la place was known for. Wine with it, 6+ euros, 16 euros total for a bad lunch. I think this la place will soon go under too. Shame.

Never eaten such dirty fries before! Clearly leftover fries from other plates re-fried. Scandalous.

Great food and drinks but downright ridiculous prices. 2 sandwiches + 2 coffee and almost €22 plus the most unpleasant terrace in the Netherlands. For that money you have to walk over uneven tiles to a table. Really bizarre but deterrent for tourists, that's for sure:-(((

Good food and a quiet place to sit or even have a meeting. You can also reserve meeting rooms and there are sufficient and clean toilets. The food is clearly freshly prepared and you can taste it. It is really very tasty.

Cozy place to chill out after a long car ride

Only good for carpool, cup of coffee and sanitary stop. Lots of deferred maintenance.
