Not what I was used to from a La Place. Lacks atmosphere, food decent, not really clean, and dirty toilets.

The food is served on a plate of disappointment. 53 euros for miniature salmon and a small burger with fries that would cost you a mortgage. 3 miniature packets of mayo for which you have to pay almost 5 euros. After walking away 3 times to ask for salt, she finally brought it. One small jar for the entire restaurant. The food was lukewarm by then. By this time, the atmosphere was already bad before I could even start eating. I will not be coming back here.

Very customer-unfriendly, rude manager/employees.

This location could use a bit more of an experience; that would improve its appeal and atmosphere.

Expensive, poor, but on the way

Terribly bad. The food was not fresh, not tasty, and way too expensive. It was pay first, then pick up. They charged €43 for a hamburger with fries and a satay with fries. Oh yes, there were also 2 bottles of soda included. This used to be a renowned place, but now there is nothing left of that. We were business clients; I will never take my business associates here. Besides, they won't be seeing me again either.

Today, yet another problem at La Place de Meren! Last time there was a hair tie in the soup, and today the soup was ice cold! The woman behind the service counter was too busy making sandwiches and just left everything to the young girls, one of whom fortunately went to the manager to report it. The manager came over, didn't even look up at our problem, and gave us our money back without compromise, as if it apparently happens often. This is the last time we've been here.

Just had a coffee. In the meantime, I also checked if I was going to have dinner there. I decided against it due to the very meager selection.

Had a delicious meal at a beautiful branch of La Place.

Especially the very practical location and accessibility. Otherwise honest and simple.

Some of the food on the plates was unavailable, which limited our choices. Later, at home, I also got a stomach upset. What caused it? I simply don't know.

There is no air conditioning. An ice latte is made with a simple coffee machine, and then a few ice cubes are taken out of the freezer. It is more convenient to do that in the other order…

A number of customer-friendly employees, helpful too. Some a little less so. The food was a bit disappointing. I have eaten better before, unfortunately. Our daughter had a freshly stir-fried chicken noodle dish, which was tasty. My husband had a steak with fries. The fries were greasy and the steak was more like fried tartare. Not necessarily very flavorful. My vegetarian dish was fine, tasted good in itself. The soup was tasty. But we missed the quality we have experienced before.

One of the better La Place branches. Super friendly staff. Food was good and fresh. Portions generous (unfortunately, not the cheap prices of about 10 years ago). Toilets free and clean. Easy to reach from the highway. The only downside is that there is no fresh pizza. That would really be a good addition.

Not what it used to be but this is generally applicable for all LaPlace's nowadays. This one is among the better ones still in existence today. Heydays are far behind.

The price-quality ratio is poor. The sandwiches are average and the price is high.

What a miserable day today. Today's menu was chicken satay with fries and raw vegetables from the salad bar. The salad bar hadn't been refilled, what was there looked terrible, and the selection was limited. The chicken satay was mediocre, didn't taste like chicken. Paid a lot of money for one satay stick and wilted salad.

Great place! I wish the tables could be wiped down a bit more often! Despite that, we always love coming here!!! Whenever the opportunity arises 😃

Perhaps due to circumstances, but the kitchen is not very efficient. I had slightly higher expectations based on previous experiences.

The food was of good quality, but the wait was really too long. The staff were generally friendly, but not all of them were equally flexible. It is still a roadside restaurant along the highway, so it is quite pricey.

La Place always serves great food. However, the De Meern branch could really use a makeover.

Inside I think it's a really nice LaPlace, outside it's like a war zone, such an incredibly messy environment.

A Laplace branch that has worked hard to improve its image. Upon entering the building, I was greeted by a foul toilet smell, but thankfully, once inside the restaurant, that was quickly forgotten. The staff were extremely friendly and professional. Litter was removed outside, which contributed to a pleasant memory of this establishment.

The food is fine, but that parking lot, it's enough to make you cry... what a soulless, dilapidated mess, it's time something was done about it!

Exactly what you can expect from a roadside restaurant, well and spaciously laid out

It's a pleasant place to sit, but the staff was a bit rude when you misplaced your tongs, which I found unnecessary. Otherwise, the food is excellent, reasonably priced, and it's a pleasant place for lunch.

Back in the day, you sometimes got a generous topping on your sandwiches. You'd get cream cheese sandwiches and have to chew longer than a cow on a kilo of grass. La place isn't what it used to be.

What a pathetic place. I wonder how such a place even has a right to exist. Expensive food, poor quality. I clearly asked if I could have fried potatoes instead of fries. I ended up getting a whole plate of fries and paying extra for the potatoes. The outdoor area is very run-down and poorly lit, making theft common. And not to mention the restrooms. You wouldn't even let your dog pee there. There was even a whole door missing. I say: close the hut. It doesn't conform to Dutch standards.

Arrived 20 mins before closing time to pick up an order I had already paid for, but noone was there to hand it and the store was already locked.

Good food, but what a lot of money..

We went last Saturday and had coffee and pastries and a meal. It was cold inside, and I had to keep my coat on, so we quickly left.

Last Sunday I went there, what a shame. When you drive onto the grounds and you look to the right you see a big mess that is closed off. When you enter the restaurant, it looks like a restaurant from the GDR period, such a poor interior. When you go to the toilet you are shocked that everything looks worn out. The floor is on the walls they have glued PVC to make it look at least somewhat. The quality of the food is good, but the appearance is disappointing.

Not much filling in the pea soup compared to other La Place.

Great place for a lunch break and/or temporary work place

The bread was delicious and fresh 👍😏 It was great that we had lunch on the road!

The bouncer was good, staff friendly, only the toilets needed to be fixed, a toilet door was loose in the room and a urinal had a bag over it.

I'm giving this La Place 3.5 stars because the building it's in is quite dated. The decor is charming, the food is good, and the staff is friendly. The focaccia with tuna is delicious, as is the smoothie.

Neat restaurant. Clean and accessible. Delicious coffee and sandwiches. Hot meals are also available.

Far too few staff for the number of customers. The food took a long time to be ready, and there was nothing ready to help yourself. Despite this, the taste was ultimately excellent.

Hamburger I expected a decent sandwich from La Place. Disappointing ☹️

Not the best La Place. Toilets not very clean, there a smell when entering the old builsing which can ue some renovation. Serice was excellent and very friendly though.

This used to be an AC Restaurant, and as everyone knows, it was incredibly bad. It's been a LaPlace for quite a few years now, and that's not bad. At least the food is fresh and hot, and the coffee doesn't taste strange. But this location in De Meern remains a very uninviting, cheap, and especially shabby establishment. Why isn't it thoroughly renovated? The atmosphere still has that 80s vibe. Furthermore, LaPlace in general is quite expensive. Almost 7 euros for a relatively simple sandwich. Almost 5 euros for a smoothie. It's not really in proportion, because LaPlace isn't that fancy, of course. It's relatively fresh, but that's about it. I only go there when I have no other choice.

Found it very disappointing and quite expensive

Deferred maintenance. It's not inviting to sit there. The air conditioning was way too cold (13 degrees outside). Coffee was cold. Pastries were old and dried out. Never again at LaPlace!

Great food... mediocre parking... old and rickety furniture. It really needs a facelift.

The coffee is simply not good. The tables aren't clean, and the restrooms are filthy! I won't be coming here again...

It's overpriced for the quality of the sandwiches. The sandwiches are tasty, but they've become increasingly "stripped down" over time. A chicken sandwich was definitely worth a detour a few years ago. Now I easily drive past it.

I had to wait 30 minutes for a cappuccino

I ordered two matchas with coconut milk and vanilla syrup. To my surprise, they used gluten-free oat milk, which I had not requested and do not like. After consultation, I agreed to regular milk. Because the order was for on the go, I explicitly asked if the drinks had been made correctly – this was confirmed. To my surprise, I received two cups that were less than half full. When I indicated this, they said that it was “as it should be”, which is absolutely not right for a drink costing €4.95. Once in the car, it turned out that the matchas even contained coffee – something that is absolutely not supposed to happen. I found it annoying that the employee dismissed my concerns, as if I were the problem. This is not the service I am used to from La Place. It is worrying that one employee makes so many mistakes, shows no product knowledge, and treats customers badly. I felt completely unwelcome and even discriminated against. I would like to urge better training of staff and serious attention to customer friendliness.

Good food but that building and the surroundings.

What would you eat for?? What are you going to order?? What is the route?? For a sandwich it seems doable to me, but composing a menu yourself, Under the guise of, figure it out for yourself......TOTALLY NOT MY THING!!

Faded glory, used to be decent, now a run-down impression. Looked quiet when we arrived around 18:30, despite long waiting times at the counters to be able to order, part of the dishes were no longer in stock, part of the cutlery was gone. Fries were ok, but hamburgers tasteless. Too few but friendly staff. We will not come here again.

Roadside restaurant, great for a cup of tea or coffee. For a quick bite to eat when you're on the road, it's a great option.

Good and cheap food. Day fresh. Fresh salad, you can choose. All organic products. No fast food or junk. You can choose healthy food. Very friendly staff. Greet you immediately upon entering. Works hard, is alert, thinks along with you. My pager wasn't working properly and someone immediately brought my food. Unfortunately I wasn't allowed to tip. My too good to go package was also very nice for 5 euros. In short, I will go here more often! Keep it up :D and feel free to build more branches in the Netherlands. And keep healthy choices!!

Excellent, centrally located, and practical to meet up and have a coffee.

We booked via social deal, but due to traffic we would not make it before 11am (the voucher could be scanned until then). Ellen thought along with us and made sure we could still enjoy a delicious breakfast! Thanks for that. There is a nice and relaxed atmosphere. There is also a possibility to work there with your laptop (wifi available).

Just a stopover at La place. When you talk about la place, you certainly think of quality, delicious food and very customer friendliness. In this case the winter deal chicken burger with fries and a cappuccino. Chicken burger deal and fries is definitely recommended. Customer friendliness: to say we don't do that, it's always better to suggest other options. The cappuccino, it was on the cold side very quickly... it got cold really quickly. Really substandard for cappuccino. There is certainly room for improvement in this regard.

What a ball tent. 1, parking facilities for freight vehicles, they do not need food. 2, a roadside restaurant and close its doors at 8 p.m. What a sad mess.

The food is prepared without any interest and is delivered lukewarm or even cold or has been left under a lamp or just next to it for too long. The staff is not motivated at all to make anything of it. They see you but let you stand at the grill bar until you ask if you can still order. The lady from the kitchen then turns her back to you! A sandwich with tasteless cheese and a wilted lettuce leaf for €6 is pure extortion. The interior appears to be from the GDR.
