Key West Beachhouse in Wijk 10 Vleuten-De Meern

Came to eat twice as we were staying in the hotel nearby and it really made the stay amazing. Gorgeous place on the beach well decorated and lovely friendly staff members. The service was very fast and delicious food! We would have loved to try more things but we were leaving! Also so accommodating for our little dog bringing water and a treat each time we came in. Would love to see it in summer when the weathers better to sit outside! 😄

From the service to the food, everything was excellent. We had the pork belly bao buns, Buccaneers catch, and for dessert, see-you-later alligator with vanilla ice cream. Highly recommended.

I definitely recommend eating here. There's something for everyone. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very pleasant. As the evening wore on and more people left, the staff started tidying the restaurant. One of my guests got a table leg in his way, and we had to keep asking if we could order something.

A super nice spot, but... We were sitting in the lovely sunshine today, so we were thirsty! We didn't see a waitress outside for at least half an hour, which is a shame! If it's busy, I can understand it, but it was incredibly quiet...

Beautifully situated beach club. Due to the beautiful weather, it was (apparently unexpectedly) busy. The staff paid little attention to the guests and didn't respond to gestures or a raised finger. After asking for the bill, the young man walked past a few more times, without making any attempt to actually settle the bill. When I gave feedback on this, the bartender became defensive. The soup, spring rolls, and fried eggs were okay.

Great place, I'll definitely be back, hoping the owner reads all the reviews. The coffee is absolutely awful! And the dolled-up blonde "head waitress" should just cooperate and be a bit friendlier to her colleagues. They're really nice, hardworking people, and you shouldn't snap at them in front of customers.

I really enjoyed it; everything was delicious, from the main course to the dessert and the wine. The service was a pleasant surprise; we were given the chance to sample the wine and beer before ordering. The waiters were always smiling, constantly coming over to ask if everything was okay and how we liked this or that portion. And the atmosphere at sunset was simply amazing; I was there with my girlfriend, and it was very beautiful and romantic. I recommend reserving a table if it's a weekend. There's also a parking barrier to enter, but the restaurant will give you a voucher for free parking, which you can use when you check out.

We went twice with our little dog 🐕 it was no problem 👍 the service is very good and the food was delicious, we ate the burgers 🍔 🍔 twice and fish 🐟 and chips once, both of which we can highly recommend, if we are in the area again we will definitely stop by, maybe you will have Ramazzotti or Averna on offer then 😉

The food was wonderful, with generous portions and a completely reasonable price. The evening drinks were also highly recommended. Highly recommended as a beach spot for a relaxed drink or fine dining.

The prices are truly exorbitant: €4 for a simple 200ml Coke. Furthermore, the presentation was rather dull, and the food was disappointing – very little for the money. All in all, not good value for money.

Nice place. I had coffee and cake, which were really good. The price was great too. I'll definitely come back here for a bite to eat.

A really nice place with a great menu. The food is excellent with surprising flavors. A few dishes weren't particularly flavorful. The Sunshine State combination of watermelon and ham was a bit lacking. A seeded red pepper and arugula with cucumber were the perfect combination. These were leftovers from other dishes. Recommendations: Tom Ka Kai soup, Korean Fried Chicken, Fish and Chips (a bit too many fries), the Mangrove burger, and the Key West burger. It was great that we had lovely music playing in the background, but we could still have a conversation at the table.

De plek is heel mooi maar het eten is superduur: 4 stukjes watermeloen voor EUR 8,00!!! De porties zijn erg klein. Verder is de sfeer prima.

We sat there for 15 minutes near the terrace entrance. We saw a waitress pass by at least nine times, but no one took our order. They didn't even look our way, so there was no opportunity to ask or wave. We just left...

Cycled here for coffee and cake. Beautiful location! Service was slow, even though it wasn't busy at all. We finally got a delicious cappuccino, but the cake took forever. We decided not to have any cake, as we were almost finished with coffee. Then the cake arrived, which took so long because it had to be hot. We went ahead and ordered it anyway, as they said it would be nice and warm. That wasn't the case at all; we just had frozen apple pie. Very disappointing! A word of advice to the staff: tell them in advance that it will take a bit longer and serve the coffee and cake at the same time. Cold coffee isn't good. I hope you take this to heart, and we'll definitely be back.

Had a bite to eat and a drink. The nachos were delicious, a bit salty but delicious. The service was excellent. It's a lovely location to relax and unwind. The beach at sunset was also beautiful. The exit ticket was also helpful, as parking is quite expensive.

Had drinks with my boyfriend and my mother. The mojitos were delicious, although a little less lime would have been nice. The nachos were also delicious, though a bit lacking in cheese. The view was fantastic, and the staff were friendly and polite. I would definitely come back!

Great atmosphere, nice beach bar, toys available. Located next to Nulde's play beach. It's a missed opportunity that there's no takeaway service, so you can take coffee, ice cream, or something to eat/drink with you to the beach.

Atmosphere was nice with the weather and time, but the service was very bad, boys and girls stand at their cutlery cart talking and do not walk past people to ask for something to eat or drink. People have to come to them for an order. Too bad, but for the rest a very nice place.

Beautiful location! Atmospheric with an amazing view of the Veluwemeer. In terms of service, there are 1 or 2 people who do a fantastic job, the rest are mainly busy giving the 'regulars' or certain groups too much attention. The food is good and the presentation looks great! Parasols or a canopy above the tables that are on the sand would not be an unnecessary luxury. It was so hot there that we wanted to leave. You have to pay for parking since it is not part of the restaurant. I would not quickly go here a second time, waiting more than fifteen minutes for a cup of coffee that tastes more like tea, no thx!

Het was prachtig, warm weer. Dus zin in een koffie met roomijs en slagroom (in een glas) in het pas geopende Beachhouse. Het stond niet op de kaart, maar omdat de ingrediënten wel aanwezig waren werd er niet moeilijk gedaan. Het werd gewoon voor ons gemaakt. De service was ook verder prima. De appeltaart met slagroom zag er feestelijk uit en smaakte ons best. Hoewel ik het op Strand Nulde = Veluwe aan Zee Zuid nog nooit zo druk heb gezien, was de bediening vlot. Prima adres om vaker heen te gaan!

Super nice place, on the beach. If you want to sit in the sand you have to go down a flight of stairs. Service was quick and friendly. Lunch was delicious, smashed avocado a lot. 2 large sandwiches with I think a whole avocado in total and both parts with egg. Definitely a place to come back to.

Max. 15 tables occupied and had to wait a very long time before you could order. Then had to wait a very long time before we got our order. Staff regularly looked around stupidly like where should I take this order.

Today in the newly opened Key West. Warmly welcomed. We could sit in the veranda on the sofas. Friendly and adequate staff. Drinks and orders were delivered quickly and neatly accepted. Enjoyed a tasty club sandwich in a nice ambiance with good service. Toilets neatly in order too. Definitely recommended to visit this place.

It feels like beach life! Good food and tasty beverages!

What a beautiful place in a top location. You drive straight off the highway onto the beach. A real beach bar on the Veluwemeer. The look and feel were good. The uptempo jazz music did not contribute to a relaxed beach atmosphere, but I think that is how it should be. We sat outside under a parasol. Unfortunately, there was no view of the water due to the tall reeds. Hopefully they will prune that. At first glance, a great menu. You can also go here for breakfast, from 10:00. The food itself was a bit disappointing for the price. We had lunch with a club sandwich and a Cuban toast. The fries were dry and tasted like mealy mashed potatoes. The Cuban toast was a coarse hard toasted sandwich with chicken. The prices for these dishes were too high. The menu also looks okay. Not exciting. But just what you can get everywhere. The fact that you do not have to pay for parking (normally 7 euros) makes up for a lot

Nice place and in a beautiful location. But very overpriced for what you get in terms of food. We went for lunch, the toast with pulled chicken is mainly a lot of toast / bread. But very thinly topped. 15 euros for a sandwich is fine, but then we would have expected it to be a bit more richly topped. Now we were mainly chewing on bread. Then a dessert: the ice cream balls are very small. The brownie was very tasty, but also only 2 very small pieces. Also quite expensive for the small amount you get. You can also tell that it is new, the service was constantly looking for which table they had to go to with an order. The location is great, the execution a bit less so.

Ze zijn verhuisd naar Putten, dat moet de eigenaar even aanpassen! Het is absoluut een aanwinst voor Putten ( Strand Nulde ) prachtige zaak vriendelijk personeel en wat uit de keuken komt smaakt super en ziet er mooi uit, ik las iets over de hoge prijs. Parkeren €7 betaald het restaurant bij bezoek en kwaliteit mag betaald worden👌

Please note. Key West has only recently (May 24, 2025) moved to Strand Nulde. Beautiful beach pavilion (more beautiful than the old one in Utrecht), tasteful decoration (both inside and outside), incredibly beautiful location on the water, extremely professional and pleasant service, ... an absolute must!

This morning we visited the brand new beach bar of Putten for a cup of coffee. What a beautiful location for catering! The place looks beautiful and we were helped very friendly. The cheesecake was very tasty and the coffee was also great. We will come back to try the lunch/dinner menu. This place has moved from Utrecht, many of the photos and reviews on this location are therefore outdated. You can park behind the barrier. As a customer of Key West you can get an exit ticket for free parking when paying.

Only a pity about the managers behind their laptops in the middle of the shop, otherwise highly recommended
