De Broeders in Wijk 03 Sterksel

We had a lovely meal with pleasant company at De Broeders in Sterksel. The service was friendly and hospitable. We've been here before and will definitely return when we're in the Kempen region.

Nice place to rest and have a drink during a bike ride

After a negative review 11 months ago, it seems only fair to post a new one. Things have changed at De Broeders, and in my opinion, they were necessary. Last Sunday, I was able to sample the new menu and it was excellent. Friendly service. The prices are a bit high, but if the food is good, I personally don't mind.

It was Saturday night. Quite warm. And it was very quiet. This company employs employees who work in day care. Don't expect everything to go according to the rules and be patient. The Carpaccio and Heezer goat cheese tasted delicious, and the additional fries with mayo were also tasty.

Most beautiful terrace in Brabant!

Didn't know that you can sit comfortably on the terrace. Came near it during our bike ride. Live fairly close by but didn't know it existed. I can't judge the food, I just sat on the terrace and had a drink

Atmospheric, contemporary brasserie with tasty dishes

Inexperienced cook the food is undercooked and then made too dry, Trying to make “special” dishes but can't even bake/cook something basic It looks like canteen food, We had also made a reservation for a party once and they arrived with containers like in a canteen with food in it that you had to ship out...

Just good food, not too expensive. We eat here once a week and certainly enjoy it.

I was there for a farewell drink, so I can't rate the restaurant. Service was smooth and friendly. And excellent appetizers. There's not much else to say about it.

Bad experience no longer what it used to be. With pain in the heart I had to conclude. 5 people had lunch. Lots of youthful service, no visible management and control. Ordering takes a long time, paying is a misery. Food 1st Bread, panade and butter, pathetic tub of becel requested, no butter .2 different lunch tickets 2 different prices.2nd Fries fried in old fat, fries fried in old fat, dried out 3x fried, nothing left.3e Mayonaisse fries sauce from the bottle, nothing more homemade.4e Tomato soup No more cream, no more croutons, nothing fresh herbs.5e Dehydrated lettuce garnish dressing forgotten. Very sad that development there NOTHING REPORTED TO THE YOUTH THERE THEY DO THE BEST. BUT HOW IS THE HORECA GOING AFTER THE BUTTONS. SAD KNOWING HOW IT WAS IN THAT BEAUTIFUL AREA!!

Als oud medewerker leuk om met familie fietstocht te maken en bij De Broeders te lunchen.Pracht locatie maar wat is het enorm achteruit geboerd.Erg teleurgesteld maar van het mooie concept is niet veel meer over.1e Enorm lang moeten wachten bij bestellen en afrekenen zijn zelf maar naar binnen gegaan.2e Kinderlijke bediening geen leiding of sturing aanwezig of slechte.3e.Brood met roomboter en tapenade 1 zielig cupje Becel geen roomboter,gevraagd was er niet.4e Tomatensoep Geen coupons Geen Room Geen verse kruiden,wel duurder veel minder kwaliteit.5e Frites zeer slecht oud frituur vet 3 dubbel gebakken droge verkreukte frites met frites saus geen huisgemaakte mayo meer..6e Geen dressing op salade ringetje.We vonden het teveel om daar iets te zeggen tegen de goedwillende kinderen.Want leiding was er niet.Dus dan maar recentie met pijn in het hart om dit zo te ervaren..Management wordt wakker,doodzonde van zo'n mooie locatie.Oud keuken medewerker 5 jaar.

Atmospheric restaurant in a beautiful building. We went there via Social Deal, otherwise we would never have ended up there. Very friendly service and the food was fantastic. Just a pity that we were the only guests, it was on a Thursday afternoon, which was a little less pleasant.

Nice quiet location with lots of new construction, it looks like a completely new mini village but there are no shops. It is an older building and you should not be surprised if you see people there wearing a crash helmet. That is actually very normal there, there are people with epilepsy and research is being done into this, but these people also have a life. The menu is simple, as are the drinks, but there is sufficient choice. I don't really see it as a place to eat, but during a nice bike ride this point is definitely worth it. From here you can also ride many beautiful cycling routes in the area.

Super location, super food & party of 2 60 year olds 🤩🤩🤩

Ordered 2 croquettes with fries and mayonnaise. Croquettes were decent. The mayonnaise was a large thimble, far too little. The fries were the worst I've ever had. An average chip shop does much better. Pieces of a few centimeters in size and often very brown. Some pieces should have been thrown in the trash before baking. A shame for a restaurant with these pretensions. As always, the bill was generous.

Had a delicious 4-course surprise dinner. Drink so beautifully by friendly staff and it tasted fantastic.

At De Broeders op Kloostervelden you can choose between eating in the lunch restaurant or the brasserie. At the brasserie you order from a menu and at the lunch restaurant you can choose between fresh sandwiches, soup and much more. Always plenty of choice and a nice way to get to know the residents of Kloostervelden. Beautiful environment! (Oh and you can also stop at "Werk aan de Winkel" for a super nice handmade gift!)

Cozy restaurant, delicious food. And very friendly staff. Also walk around the grounds around the restaurant, a beautiful natural environment. Definitely worth having a nice meal or drink there. Also visit the Christmas fair in December, a beautiful indoor and outdoor Christmas market.

Ended up here via social deal. At a beautiful location with a large terrace and a spacious interior, we had a delicious 4-course vegetarian menu. Variety and sufficient. Here the drinks are still affordable and they serve a nice glass of wine. The staff is super friendly. We are highly recommended for a next social deal.

Met de thuisbox heerlijk gegeten! Het was zeer goed verzorgd, er zaten instructies bij hoe op te warmen en hoe je het mooi op je bord neer kon leggen. Lekkere verse producten, in een handomdraai op tafel. Heerlijk gegeten!

Their forest mushroom soup was the best I've ever had! Make sure to try their kloster bier, they are fenomenal! I wasn't so keen on the atmosphere of the place but the food was great :)

Great place to stop for a stop in a beautiful cycling environment

I couldn't find a parking space for the car. For the disabled, but with 2 hernias. Sufficient staff (from Kempenhaeghe) but quite pricey. The small lunch was tasty. I doubted whether the soup was hand-made. Plenty of shade. Steel chairs are very cold.

Broeders is a lunch café on the grounds of the brothers. The brothers had founded this monastery to care for people with epilepsy. This monastery and surroundings are now also equipped for clients with this care requirement. Very nice area

This time we had 1 surprise menu with fish and some separate starters. Everything was again well taken care of, with clear preparation instructions, and last but not least: it was very tasty again, with lots of fresh vegetables. We have taken the surprise fish menu several times, and we have never eaten the same fish, which is worth mentioning! A beer package as a gift is also nice! In short: worth repeating!

Ordered an Easter box from the Brothers and we are very satisfied! The food was delivered exactly at the agreed time in a nicely decorated box with chocolate eggs and Easter bunnies. Even a bottle of Cava was included. The food itself (starter, main, and dessert) was very tasty and more than sufficient. Worth repeating.

Great Valentine's Day menu at De Broeders. Nicely decorated with rose petals and hearts. The dishes were delicious and easy to prepare at home. With the added bonus of cocktails and a bottle of wine, my wife and I had an unforgettable romantic evening.

Order a home box party dinner as a sample for Christmas. Excellent care, delicious deer steak and stew of Kempish beef and a bottle of wine. Delicious starters and dessert with clear descriptions for everything!! Highly recommended!!

Last week I had a wonderful home restaurant experience through the brothers' home box. Delicious food and easy to prepare. Perfect alternative in corona times for an already super quality restaurant!
