Nice location. I found the cappuccino a bit bitter, and the frothed milk was a bit weak.

After enjoying a beer and wine on the terrace, we set off again by bike. After 5km, we realized we'd forgotten our bag. No problem, I thought, just call. Well, that was disappointing. A computer voice answered the phone with a menu and 101 questions. With "who," "why," "what for?" etc., but speaking to someone was impossible. It's a shame they're not easily reachable. Try it yourself.

A lovely terrace to cycle to in the summer and enjoy a drink! The drinks platter is highly recommended! It's great that there are hardly any children on the terrace because there's no playground...an added bonus!

Enjoyed a snack and drink on a quiet Saturday afternoon. Everything was well taken care of.

We eat here often, and it's always good. Even though it was busy, the service was always quick and relaxed. It's a cozy spot in the countryside, and when the weather's nice, you can sit outside on the pleasant terrace.

Top location and very tasty food.

We had a party there. They came to ask for coffee and tea. Then they came with cake. It wasn't really replenished. Only when you said there was nothing for you. When the cake was gone they came with coffee/tea. They came with the snacks too quickly one after the other. Too few staff. And a terrace full. This should be planned better. Snacks were good.

Had a lovely lunch here this afternoon after a walk in the area. The outside terrace was open and there were plenty of places available (on this Monday afternoon). Atmosphere is cozy. It also looked cozy inside. There is a varied choice for lunch dishes and there is also plenty of choice for vegetarians, like me. The food tasted delicious! The service was friendly. The prices are good, lower than in the cities. Parking is free and is available right next to the restaurant.

Been coming there all my life, super beautifully situated near the woods. Nice for walkers and cyclists to stop. There is a large tent so you can always sit dry. Friendly staff. Very neat furniture inside, gas fireplace, beautiful wooden beams and thatched roof. @deboschwachter

Very tasty, very cozy, casual atmosphere. Friendly service. Nothing was too much. We will definitely go here again.

After a short walk from home (which is negligible), we had a delicious lunch here. The twelve hours are nice portions, tasty too (according to partner), the bread with carpaccio was also delicious, large plate (the bread was no longer visible due to the amount of carpaccio). All in all, a great lunch, which is nice to eat indoors on a chilly but sunny day.

Cozy restaurant, reasonable price and choice. It takes a very long time for them to serve lunch, after sitting for 1 hour the lunches were only delivered for 12 hours. Don't know if it's worth repeating. A nice base to take a walk from here.

Unfriendly service, was not looked at, not hospitable, we did not really feel welcome. When there was possibly something wrong with our ordered food and I had to wait for my friend, who was just in the toilet, the waiter quickly became impatient because she was on a break, so we were told. Another couple on the terrace had to wait a long time for their appetizers, when they asked about this the answer was, yes, the service just ate themselves... 2 (normal) beers on tap and a small appetizer for €23, very expensive beers, unfortunately Didn't ask for the menu myself, looked it up at home, apparently paid more than €14 for 2 beers, very excessive...

Exactly what you expect from a restaurant with the name Boswachter; nice warm atmosphere, good price/quality ratio and top service! Definitely worth repeating.

Delicious food in a pleasant atmosphere. The service is good and the waitresses know exactly when to come by. The food was beautifully prepared and very tasty. You can choose from individual dishes or a menu.

Nice restaurant located a little outside of Heeze. Made a reservation in advance, got a nice table outside under a tarpaulin. That feels a bit shabby, but in terms of atmosphere it is fine. Also nice: ample parking. We were helped neatly and adequately by 3 different people, which surprised me a bit, but hey: it works there. Minus: I wanted to change the reservation slightly, called 3 times, but answered 0 times. Food was fine. Price/quality was more than OK. The two of us spent a total of 43 euros for lunch.

De Boschwachter is a very nice restaurant to enjoy a delicious meal and drink (also with the family). Chateaubriant is recommended for lovers of a delicious piece of meat, but the house menu is also perfect. Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff, Dear Jeroen, it was excellent and see you next time!

The food was very good. Each dish was carefully prepared, with attention to detail and flavor balance. Although the service was generally good, professional and efficient, a warmer approach and a little more enthusiasm would have enriched the experience even more. Definitely worth coming back.

Gezellige ambiance en keurige bediening. We hadden geen zin om te koken dus dan maar even lekker buitenshuis gaan eten. Dat gaan we vaker doen. Prima prijs kwaliteit verhouding.

A restaurant that charges 1.50 extra for plant-based milk in 2024??? That is really no longer possible, a stab in the back to everyone who wants to contribute to animal welfare and the climate.

Bij binnenkomst was het redelijk druk. Het enige minpunt van de avond kwam naar boven en dat was de akoestiek door de drukte. De gastheer en zijn familie zorgden voor een hartelijk welkom, met duiding rond hun super lekkere Pino Grigio. De gerechten waren stuk voor stuk van hele goede kwaliteit met lekkere smaken. Zelden zo een lekker klaargemaakt eend gegeten. Wij zijn geen dessertfans maar deze waren superlekker en heel mooi gepresenteerd. Elk gerecht was af. Veel beter dan wat de wat goedkoop uitziende kaart laat vermoeden.

Leuk restaurant. Gezellig en knus, met een open haard. Onze borrelplanken waren heerlijk, maar de (veelal érg jonge) bediening was enorm traag. Er leek leiding te missen.

Erg leuk om hier te eten. Het eten is lekker en de service is goed. Er is een rustige sfeer die ik als bijzonder aangenaam ervaar. De wijnen zijn ook goed en lekker. En het personeel is beleefd en vriendelijk. Een aanrader voor een ieder die lekker wil eten en genieten.

Leuke plek voor een lunch buiten. Lekker rustig aan de rand van Heeze Gerechten zijn van uitstekende kwaliteit en ruime porties. Bediening is vriendelijk maar laat soms een beetje op zich wachten. Wij komen zeker terug.

Best goed eten en ja de locatie is ok maar al met al wat mij betreft te duur voor wat je krijgt.

Heb daar een sandwich carpaccio gegeten. Was erg lekker maar aan de prijs. Eigenaars/ serveerster reageerde zeer kort toen ik vroeg hoe laat ze open gingen. Dat zou over 10 minuten zijn. Jammer voor zo'n mooie lokatie.

18 juni; Prijs/kwaliteit liet te wensen over. Eten was te duur voor wat je kreeg. Een gedeelte was zelfs koud. Meer als een uur gewacht voordat de bestelde gerechten geserveerd werden. Toen we onze ervaring doorgaven aan het personeel werd daar nauwelijks op gereageerd. Jammer want de sfeer/ambiance van deze lokatie is geweldig een heel mooi plekje. Ik denk alleen niet dat we er nog terugkomen. 19 juni; Aanvulling recencie op ons etentje van gisteren, vanmorgen kreeg mijn vriendin telefoon van de eigenaar van de Boswachter. Hij kende haar omdat ze daar vaker ging eten. Alleen heb ik de reservering en recensie geschreven dus hij had contact met mij op moeten nemen. Hij zei als we bovenstaande recensie niet zouden verwijderen we alle 3 niet meer welkom zijn. Ik heb recensies gelezen van andere gasten maar naar mijn mening wordt er niks met de op en aanmerkingen gedaan alleen gedreigt dat je niet meer welkom bent. WE WILLEN NIET EENS MEER KOMEN ETEN ALS JE OP DEZE MANIER BENADERD WORDT.

Gezellig zitten Leuke omgeving

Heerlijk gegeten vanavond , het was super. Het asperge menu was voortreffelijk. De speciaal biertjes waren op een juiste temperatuur gekoeld en daar kan menig restaurant een voorbeeld aan nemen.

Heerlijk buiten gezeten in het avond zonnetje

Geweldig gegeten, een heerlijke 250grams Chateu Briand plank gehad met vanalles op wat er bij hoort.. Vriendelijk personeel en de sfeer was fijn!

Gezellig plekje om wat te eten of te drinken. Ik miste alleen het plezier in hun werk bij de bediening.

Hele leuke zaak, goede sfeer en heerlijk eten. Alleen het enthousiasme van de bediening laat wel te wensen over.

Goede service en erg lekker eten! Gezellige atmosfeer. Zeker de moeite waard.

Leuke gelegenheid om na een stevige wandeling even wat te happen en drinken. Diverse speciaal bieren op de tap, lekkere huiswijn en een bijzonder lekkere complete en duverse borrelplank voor nog geen 2 tientjes. Hier komen we ook zeker weer eens terug.
