It's always a treat to eat pancakes here. I recently ordered their homemade ice cream for the first time, oh my, that was heavenly!

Food was pretty good. Ham n cheese omelet was tasty. Coffee good but needs more then 1 cream and 1 sugar. Also business does not have wifi for customers to use.

Everything was delicious! We ordered mini Dutch pancakes with strawberries and fresh cream, and pineapple and cheese. It was delicious. 🤌🏻

All the decor is so cute and fun! Had an amazingly delicious breakfast and tried as many things as we could. Waffle was my favorite

The pancakes here are fantastic, we were literally in and out within 20 minutes, served immediately and food came within minutes, delicious and fresh, it was very interesting to be in the carousel. Staff were very friendly, would recommend eating here

Very interesting atmosphere, as you are in a carousel, as the name implies. Huge menu, fast service. Ordered Belgian waflles, was nice, but a bit dry.

This place is so cute and the Poffertjes were delicious! The fact that it’s in an old carousel is very charming. Though, there are definitely lots of kids running around screaming, it’s still a good time.

We were there three times during our vacation because it's a wonderful place to enjoy a delicious meal in a cozy atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and the menu is varied, even for those who prefer something other than pancakes. The food is top-notch.

We go here for the Poffertjes every time we visit Amsterdam and it never disappoints. Each order comes with 20 Poffertjes and we always order two and grab a table facing the middle for the full experience. It’s SO good!

I expected a bit more from the pancake I ordered. With Grand Marnier and whipped cream. It was just a plain pancake with liqueur and whipped cream on the side. Next time, for that price, maybe a fruit garnish? Nice service.

Went for the carousel gimmick, but the pancakes were actually really nice. The kitchen is visible from the dining area and it was fun to watch all the pancakes being prepared through the carousel. The food was generously topped and tasted great. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Plenty of room for lunch on a Tuesday with no wait. Would recommend.

Good Dutch pancakes but bad service. You sit yourself and it takes a while for someone to come get your order. When the girl brought our food she kind of threw the plates down, didn’t say anything, & just walked away without asking if we needed anything. We had to get up ourselves to get our own utensils because no one came by our table. So strange since they weren’t even that busy. When ordering the waitress literally made me feel like we were a nuisance. I wouldn’t come back & don’t recommend to anyone unless you can deal with the snooty service.

Amazing food for a fair price. The amount you get per serving is very generous and i was completely full after just one plate. Great waitress who accomodated me and my friends, there were seven of us but she made way for us which was nice. Amazing hot chocolate here i really recommend.

The best pancake I've ever eaten. I'm very critical and had already had a bad experience with a pancake in Amsterdam. I still wanted to try it again. It couldn't have been worse. My husband ordered an omelet with bacon and cheese. I had the pancake with bacon, egg, and cheese. My husband thought his omelet was world-class. But when he tried my pancake, he was completely blown away. Just like me. I don't normally eat pork. But twice a year I treat myself to bacon 😅 And this meal was so worth it. The restaurant is super chic. There's actually a carousel inside. But the weather was fantastic, so we sat outside. It was very quiet, surrounded by greenery, and cozy. I'll go back here next time I'm in Amsterdam.

Outdoor seating. Protected from the wind. Large selection and not exactly cheap! I had a pancake with ham, cheese, and egg (€13.50). For dessert, there were poffertjes with powdered sugar and butter (€9.50), a small bitter lemon (€3.40), and a Coke Zero (€5.10). Total price: €31.50. The service was friendly and attentive, but there weren't enough guests. We waited a long time for the bill. Unfortunately, our table wasn't clean (sticky), and the women's restroom was completely dirty. It could be done more thoroughly and cleanly! The described lack of cleanliness cost us the fourth star.

Great place to get pancakes and other lunch-y stuff (sandwiches and burgers) at reasonable prices! Location is great, fairly near Albert Cuyp Street and Rijksmuseum.

The portions are generous, the quality is top-notch, and the value for money is truly fair. The atmosphere is cozy, typically Dutch, and inviting. We had the poffertjes and would recommend them to anyone!

The poffertjes are very, very good. One thing I forgot was some whipped cream, which was refilled upon request. One dish we ordered was a flaw: panneque, and we received poffertjes.

Lured by the good reviews, we were disappointed. Yes, it was crowded. But it felt like neither the service nor the kitchen had anything under control. We were overlooked for at least 15 minutes before we could order, and then waited over 45 minutes for two standard pancakes and poffertjes. People who came after us were constantly served first. Eventually, a very friendly server noticed this mistake and tried to solve the problem. Well, the poffertjes were really delicious. The pancakes, on the other hand, were tasteless. The horse carousel was tiny. We had hoped for more. The tables were sometimes extremely close together. So, I wouldn't recommend it to my friends. Sorry.

Beautiful place with a carousel in the center, we came to Amsterdam for 4 days and every morning we came here for our breakfast, as Italians we liked the coffee, the pancakes (for us crepes) are absolutely worth trying

Was excited to come back here, after visiting many years ago, and was not dissapointed! Food was just as good as I remember and staff were friendly and welcoming. Highly reccomend a visit if you get the chance. It is right next to a metro station, so very easy to get to.

A good restaurant, we ordered a large crepe with egg and bacon which was relatively good, we also ordered small pancakes with butter sauce, whipped cream and strawberries which were delicious and very decadent. If you are coming with children, I recommend stopping here.

Great place, quite cheap for dutch standards, fun carousel themed interiors. The pannenkoeken with cheese and bacon is really good, while the one with egg maybe too "soft". I suggest to stick with the classic.

Found it via Google Maps - perfect place for the last breakfast during our stay in Amsterdam. Very friendly staff, the carrousel is beautiful, great music. The menu is almost overwhelming with all the different varieties. Big plates! We won't need any lunch ;) The direct view into the kitchen was perfect for our kids - watching the kitchen staff prepare their breakfast. We had English Breakfast, sweet and savoury pancakes and loved it.

Fabulous and quick service in this very traditional pancake house. I had the Apple and cinnamon pancake with raisins. Delicious! Cute decor. Very near to a metro station.

There are a lot of people and the staff looks very busy. It feels like eating a slightly thick crepe with toppings on a thin pancake. I thought it would be crispy because it was thin, but it doesn't feel crispy and surprisingly has a fluffy texture.

Highly recommended! Professional and welcoming waiters, and an open-plan kitchen that's delicious. We returned several times in just a few days of vacation. This place is perfect for both breakfast (sweet and savory) and full meals with sandwiches. And what about the atmosphere? Amazing! You absolutely have to go!

The service staff are sweet and courteous. Being Malaysian, we are new to this food. We ordered English Breakfast with small orange juice £15 served until 12 noon. Dutch speciality & Brussels waffles. We are waiting for our laundry nearby. Wash Queen

Wow, the pancakes and waffles were phenomenal at De Carrousel. I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese pancake, and it was probably the best pancake I have ever tasted in my life. The waiter told me to roll it up and drizzle the syrup across it. He was 100% right and would highly recommend it. One of my boys got the Nutella Banana Waffle with whipped cream. He said, "This is the best waffle I have ever had. Can I order another one?" My wife got a waffle with a bunch of fruit, and she really liked the waffle as well. My oldest got a banana pancake, and he inhaled it. The only reason I gave a 3 for the atmosphere was due to construction nearby and the noise. It was an unusually hot day, and we sat outside due to the building not having air conditioning. I would strongly recommend giving this place a try if you find yourself craving Dutch pancakes while visiting Amsterdam.
