Directly on Damrak, literally a couple minutes’ walk from Amsterdam Centraal Station. One of the most convenient breakfast spots in the city if you’re in/out on a layover. Service is quick — great when you’re on a tight schedule. Very nice cook!!

I was curious about Dutch pancakes, so I was debating which location to visit. I ended up going to a place near the harbor, hoping to enjoy the ocean view. The pancakes are thin, so they taste like pancakes, but they're delicious in a unique way.

Perfect place if you have some spare time between the trains and want to grab lunch. The traditional bacon and cheese pancake was delicious. And thank you for the souvenir :)

We found this spot by chance after stopping at Amsterdam Central to take a passport photo. It sits right on the waters edge at the back of the station and the facade has the charm of a small coastal shack. It was busy but we were seated right away as a table for two. Larger groups should expect a short wait since we saw a party of four wait about ten to fifteen minutes. The menu covers classic Dutch pancakes, American style pancakes, poffertjes, a build your own section, and a category for the more health conscious crowd. I ordered the salmon, spinach, and cheese Dutch pancake and added extra grated cheese and a fried egg. My husband chose the bacon, cheese, and apple version and added ham. We also ordered fresh mint and ginger tea which felt perfect on a cold morning. The pancakes were cooked with precision. The edges had a light crisp and the cheese melted into a proper crust. The smoked salmon is more assertive in flavor than what we are used to in the United States. Mine also came with a touch of pesto. The kitchen mixed up my order slightly and gave me two fried eggs but it worked out well. We finished everything on our plates. It was exactly what we wanted on a quiet Sunday morning. Service was friendly and efficient.

Pancakes Amsterdam was the perfect place to warm up on a chilly, windy morning. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with a great view right on the water. The pancakes with bacon were delicious, the coffee hit the spot, and the service was excellent. I even picked up a small souvenir to take home to the US—a nice touch to end a great visit.

Located on next to the ferries, has a great view and a very calming atmosphere, ordered the Dutch pancake with bacon and also added maple syrup to my order.

This is a super cute pancake spot with a beautiful view it's also very convenient if you're waiting for your train! The pancakes were tasty and perfectly fine, though nothing spectacular. The great atmosphere, view, and convenience still make this a highly recommended stop!

We ate Dutch pancakes. Quite different than american style. I found it more healthy with simple taste. It was raining so we sat inside by the seaside. Lovely atmophere.

We were really looking forward to the pancakes and chose one Dutch and one American. One sweet, the other savory. Unfortunately, apart from the friendly service, the great view, and the two end-of-the-day treats for our daughter, we were very disappointed. The pancakes were both only lukewarm. The one with cheese and spinach was very dry, burnt, and lacking in flavor. The sweet one with banana, chocolate sauce, and cookie crumble was also dry and tasteless. The latte was unfortunately just okay. Both lacked that certain something. What a shame! We really expected more here, especially given the very hefty and high prices for really cheap ingredients. Our impression of not eating at chain restaurants was once again fully confirmed. The reviews are also unfortunately hard to understand. What a shame. On top of that, there was a fruit fly invasion during our visit. Which made things even worse. We'll look for something else next time. So much more could be done with the location and the product range.

Been twice now. Their pancakes are sublime. Perfect little snack to have on your holiday and close to Amsterdam Centraal station as well. Their Allergy menu covers a Gluten, Lactose & Vegan too which is a big win ❤️ Only downside is they don’t take cash, however we pretty much live in a cashless society at the moment.

The branch behind Amsterdam Centraal station, by the waterfront, is quite small. I ate there on a Friday morning and had booked in advance, but I felt that mid-week it might not be as tricky to get a table - I couldn’t get a reservation on a Saturday morning, so booking in advance is advised. I’d highly recommend booking a table in advance, as they’re extremely popular. They’ve got a vast selection of pancakes, and some really decent gluten free options. I had a simple pancake, with bacon and cheese. The portions are massive. I’d recommend eating here.

I'm a harsh critique and love pancakes and love food in general so I have tried alot of pankakes and crepes before, but the American and Duch pancakes here are the best I have ever had by far. We shared the American maple syrup and bacon pancake and the Dutch ham and cheese one and they were both incredible! The staff were really lovely and the service was impeccable. Highly recommend!

Great Dutch Pancakes - we tried the one with bacon and cheese and the with ham and cheese. Bacon and cheese is better because the ham was a bit salty. Great welcoming service. You can pay with card and include a tip of your choosing :) Great view of the bay inside

We didn't like it. We had mini sugar pancakes. No flavor. And a pistachio cream crepe. We didn't taste the pistachios... And the crepe itself wasn't great. Perfect service, thanks to them. If you want to treat yourself: Pat's Poffertjes Nieuwendijk 😍

You are very much paying for the atmosphere and location, right outside central station by the water edge. Great for people watching. However its greatly overpriced - equivalent to £35 for a couple of pancakes and a cup of tea - same as an evening meal.

He treated us with so much respect, warmth, and the best customer service possible. I didn’t even have to ask for anything — it felt like he could read my mind and brought exactly what I needed, just like a genie! I ordered the American pancake with strawberries and almonds, and wow — it was hands down the yummiest pancake I’ve ever had. Paired it with a latte, and it was honestly the best latte I’ve ever tasted. Also tried the dutch specialty poffertjes, it was melting in my mouth ☺️! Definitely NOT recommended!!! We went to this restaurant because of the good reviews. I totally regret it. We arrived in Amsterdam and I really wanted to eat poffertjes and pancakes. We didn't even go to the hotel beforehand because I was so excited. The restaurant is small, but quite nice. The view is okay. I had poffertjes with strawberries and chocolate sauce. My husband had pancakes with apple crumble. They sounded super delicious and were also touted as a customer favorite. The pancake was large, but only lukewarm. The worst was the apple crumble. It was completely cold. Refrigerator cold. It tasted awful. When I asked, they said that's how they were supposed to eat it here. The poffertjes were so dry and very brown, even a liter of chocolate sauce wouldn't have helped. There are so much better poffertjes at the Freimarkt (=fair, funfair) in Bremen. Juicy, warm, and fresh. I don't understand who could give these dishes 5 stars. They look nice, but I could have wasted the 35 euros better. Never, never again!!!

The apple crumble is also a must-try. The seating was amazing with an unobstructed view at the waterfront and the A'DAM Lookout. There's inevitably some flies but all in all a pleasant spot. Certainly a great place to have brunch.

My partner and I came here for breakfast on our second day in Amsterdam, and it totally lived up to the hype. I ordered the banana, chocolate, and stroopwafel American pancakes with a pancakes vanilla iced latte and they were probably the best pancakes I've ever had, so filling and delicious. My partner got the chocolate and stroopwafel poffertjes with an iced tea, and he loved his food too. The only downside is that it's a bit on the pricey side, but other than that, it's amazing. I'll definitely be back if I'm ever in Amsterdam again!

What a fantastic spot! There are several locations across the city, but this small location features fantastic waterfront views in a nautical feeling setting. The rear dining area showcases large glass windows where you can watch the people and the ships as they navigate the River IJ. This is located just across the street from the "rear" of the Centraal Station entrance and across the street from the bus terminal area. I had a bit of two different pancakes, coffee, and a mimosa. The apple and goat cheese pancake was very nice. It was not as sweet as I expected (which was a good thing), and the bacon and egg pancake was fantastic. Even though the dining area is small, I didn't feel rushed to finish my meal. Service was friendly and the team seemed to enjoy working together.

Scrumptious Dutch pancakes! We ordered one savory and one sweet. The savory was cheese and bacon, the sweet was goat cheese, apples, honey and almonds. So yummy! I had a mimosa, which was lacking any bit of alcohol. Very fresh orange juice though! Highly recommend the pancakes!

As true Dutch people really enjoyed a good pancake. Not thick, richly topped. And also cinnamon sugar as a topping. Very nice spot with a view of all the boats on the IJ.

I had an apple crumble Dutch pancake with Ben & Jerry ice cream which was Devine and I tried a Dutch coffee which was an interesting experience. Service was exceptional and sitting looking at the canal was beautiful. Really enjoyed our experience ❤️❤️

I'm still getting used to a different style of service in Amsterdam than I'm used to in Canada. In Canada, the servers work for tips and if they want a good tip they have to make a "connection" with their customers, so they tend to be quite friendly and attentive - checking in with their tables fairly frequently (sometimes too much - there's an art to good service. Styles and standards are different everywhere, so you can't really compare one country to another.) Anyway, based on what I've experienced in Amsterdam, the service here was good. They even give out a cute souvenir keychain at the end of the meal. I had the cheese and apple pancake and got a cheese, bacon and apple pancake to take out for my daughter. Both were delicious. The cute, cozy location by Centraal Station had a very nice view of the water. Prices are a bit high, but that seems to be the case everywhere. I look forward to going again and trying something else.

Welcome was cold and distant. Not warm and friendly. We wanted the ‘other menu’ but that took so long. The pancakes were so incredibly expensive. The base was okay but the toppings (for 4 strawberries you pay almost 5€) were too expensive. The pancakes were cold. The plates too. The tables dirty and the atmosphere unpleasant. We will never do this again.

Very large selection of different types of pancakes and toppings. My American Pancakes were very tasty. Too bad there are no children's portions on the menu, my granddaughter's (3) pancake was much too big and there was a lot left over. Very friendly service.

We only had the Poffertjes but they were delicious and served in a lovely chocolate sauce. Coffee was good, and iced drinks were served well and were good too. Server was super friendly and helpful. No trouble getting a table at evening time and canal side situation is nice, with ready access to Centraal station. Very reasonable pricing considering the location.
