Ate the Dutch pancake too quick and didn't take a photo but it looked and tasted amazing! Thanks to the staff today, great vibe too. Good coffee also ☕

Only point deduction for cost...very expensive for what you get ....but food was lovely....

We sat right next to the stairs down to the kitchen. We didn't really mind but a perspex plate under the stairs or next to the stairs from the railing to the roof of the cellar could block out some of the noise without blocking the view, light or aesthetics. That's only 1 star reduction to atmosphere though, the rest was great, we got inside, got helped immediately by Mara, she was friendly, with a smile and went the extra mile (kilometer) to service us quick and easy, she made a witty remark and made sure that our visit was nice and good. Be sure to give Mara a raise.

One of the many restaurants of this chain in the city. Ideal for brunches and breakfasts, but suitable for any meal if you prefer. Excellent knowledge and preparation of dishes suitable for customers with food intolerances and particular diets.

You can go there out of curiosity, but what is this? It's not an environment worth remembering, the food tastes just like that.

This is my second time here and it was great! Not as many options with toppings as when I last visited. I do feel that with any sauces or toppings that there should be a side bowl or jug with them so you can choose how much you put on.

A nice place for brunch! I tried smoked salmon with spinach. It was really good! It was posted they don’t accept cash, but IF you have the exact amount, that is ok.

The place is salla especially for families with their cahilden. We wanted to get our food at outside but they told us that they dont serve even they have seats. Pancakes was good, after meal dont forget to get your gift.

Loved this pancake spot right in town! My vegan friend and I came here, and they had many options for both of us which was very appreciated. I went with the banana almond chocolate pancake, which was fantastic. She went with the apple pancake with blueberry sauce. Both were delicious and came out hot! It’s not very big in there, but they have a community table that we sat at and they turned the tables very efficiently. Would definitely go back! If you’re craving an authentic Dutch pancake, this is your spot! They also had American style, but we didn’t try those!

We ate at this one near the main train station. It’s famous but we were somewhat disappointed. We feel the pancakes were not freshly made. It’s more like premade and come from refrigerator. We really don’t think it’s special nor tasted good, though the service was good.

It's not worth it at all, and the icing on the cake is that they didn't give me my change back because they don't have any exchange

We tried the pancakes as recommended by friends when we visited Amsterdam. Unfortunately we didn’t enjoy them. Service and atmosphere was great. I loved how creamy the coffee was but the pancakes were just there.

The waiter dropped my pancake on the floor and then I waited over an hour for a replacement. The waiter said it wasn't his fault as the kitchen "had an issue with him". No apology at any point. Thankfully another waitress took it off the bill and gave us free coffees. One star for the lovely waitress. Shame as the pancakes actually looked tasty.

Was really let down with my experience here. Staff were not friendly really.. at all. The waiter who took my order didn’t say anything at all except “which pancake did you say?” Which is okay if you don’t want to chat every customer up but that’s how all the staff seemed. My coffee was served to me cold. As was my pancake especially after putting the cream on it. I’m aware that I could’ve said something, had them heat up my coffee, couldn’t heat up a pancake with cream already, but made me a new one. But given the energy the staff was giving off, it felt like it was better to take the loss and leave, especially since nobody came back to the table to ask how things were. When I let the cashier know everything was cold after she asked how it was, she seemed more angry about the fact that I didn’t ask for them to fix it - which is why avoided saying something in the first place. Just a very not welcoming environment and after both things being cold, it just felt not worth it and silly considering those things should’ve been served hot.

It was my first time visiting this place, but it will not be the last. Their Dutch pancakes are absolutely delicious. Never tried American ones, but they looked amazing as well. The only small complaint I have is the service, it was a little bit slow and not very "warm", but we loved the fact we all got a free keyring when leaving. Definitely recommend this place!

Service was very bad. You had to constantly call them to order, pay, etc. even though there were a lot of waitresses on site. We ate for two. One pancake was good, the other was a bit burnt, which of course you could taste.

The menu has a selection of dutch and American pancakes with the option to add toppings. Our pancakes did not quite live up to expectations as they were a little overcooked sadly. The American pancakes were also on the greasy side. The pancakes are a little on the expensive side so we expected a high standard. Unfortunately they did not live up to this. We had better pancakes for a more reasonable price elsewhere in Amsterdam.

The pancake is delicious, the coffee is great and there is gluten-free option. You can even buy gluten-free flour there. It is very close to the Centraal.

Fantastic, delicious, huge pancakes in the heart of the city. We were surprised how good this place was we went there twice. A good choice considering it's in the heart of the tourist district close to Centraal station. Service was friendly and efficient. Definitely recommend and will return when we go back to Amsterdam again. Don't be put off if there's a short queue, you'll get seated fairly quickly.

Glutenfrei für Zöliakie/ Gluten free for celiacs. Many gluten free options (not all of them). Friendly service. Quite crowded because so many people want to eat their, but waiting for a table was worth it. If you enjoy pancakes, you should try it. We also shared a sweet pancake afterwards.

Staff very disgruntlement we wanted to dine outside. Visibly distressed they might have to do a bit of work. Not that busy inside just no tables to fit out whole party. Don’t put tables outside then moan people want to sit there 🤷🏻‍♂️

Unfortunately, I fell for the line outside. A real hype. We stood there for about 40 minutes because we wanted to sit down and eat inside rather than outside. The waiters were very pleasant, the order was ready relatively quickly, but the huge pancake tasted very bad. They used hot chocolate for the pancake, which was not tasty, to put it mildly. The music is blaring inside...it's not cozy and I didn't like it at all. I don't recommend it!

Fuimos el día anterior y todo estaba bien, pero a la mañana siguiente volvimos, mi amiga pidió un panqueque sin huevo de nuevo y el camarero era consciente de la alergia, sin embargo, tuvo una reacción alérgica a ella y el personal no se disculpó ni se esforzó por identificar dónde salió mal la cocina.

Negligence towards allergies. Claim to accommodate allergies with a whole separate vegan menu but gave my friend a pancake with egg in it. She had an allergic reaction and they didn’t even try to figure out how it happened. Staff was slow to bring the bill over even though we needed to leave to get her medication.

At first we were disappointed by the queue at the door which honestly was the longest time I’ve ever spent in a queue all my life and then I noticed how disorganised this place was as there was a group of people (6) in front of us and we were waiting over 40 minutes to get in but in the meantime 14+ people left so I was wondering what was going on. They basically didn’t invite the group of people in until a table that can hold 6 people. They should have let couples or even individuals to enter before them. Secondly, I wanted to taste the poffertjes but the waitress said they don’t serve it there.. but it was on the online menu which we opened using a QR code so having waited over an hour by the time we were served I seriously started hating this place. I had to order something else which was a delicious regardless and that’s why I’m leaving 2 stars.

The café boasts a central location, making it the ideal place for a short break in the middle of Amsterdam. The waffles and coffee we ordered tasted very appealing and made for a pleasant moment of enjoyment. However, the price of around €40 for two waffles and two hot drinks is difficult to understand despite Amsterdam's high price structure. Even in a city with a lot of tourism, you would expect an extraordinary experience for this price, which unfortunately wasn't quite the case here. Conclusion: Absolutely satisfactory in terms of taste and ideally located, but the price-performance ratio should be optimized in order to leave a harmonious overall picture.

The terrace outside is pretty, but it's always crowded so you have to have good timing to be able to sit. If you are trying between savory and sugary, I recommend the sweet one. I think savory is too sweet for Korean tastes. It tastes good, but it's a bit confusing to pay this much money to eat a taste we already know... ? But the sweet pancakes were delicious! Looking at the table next to me, the American style pancakes looked fluffy and delicious too. It's the kind of restaurant that only tourists go to, but since the Dutch pancakes are so famous, it might be worth a visit. Oh, because there are so many people, it takes a while to take orders, get food, and even pay, so if you're in a hurry, avoid the train! Instead, the server was friendly and nice.

Pancakes are ok (not the most complicated dish all in all), the place is quite touristy. The service is on par with other Amsterdam places, rude and sometimes arrogant. We were a group of 8, we just wanted to split the payment (not the bill, we didn’t care, just pay 50% with one card and 50% with another card) and the blonde at the counter said “we could do it but given that we are busy we will not”. I explained that it was just the payment and not a custom bill but I think it was too complicated for her to understand or simply she did not care a bit.

Small but fine restaurant known for pancakes. We had to sit outside which wasn't too bad. After ordering, 45 minutes later there was still no food! Everyone else after us had already had their food. A nice hint and the food arrived 10 minutes later. There was a free drink as an apology. The food was OK. I had No. 26 - Banana Pancakes with Bacon. Bacon was cold though...

A European couple = location with very nice view of the port 3 people European style with luggage = location with view of the port and boats A European couple with children = location with a view of the port and boats.. the view that pushes you to go eat in this place is exclusively reserved for Europeans, I heard other Asian-type customers insist on a location with a view of the boats and the port, we told him that all the places were taken while a few moments later, the whole group of Europeans mentioned above arrived and were installed on the side with the beautiful view.. I was outraged and scandalized and I preferred to leave THIS IS ABERRANT!

PANCAKES Amsterdam is just in front of Central Station on the left, only a 5-minute walk away. This store was established in 2007 in Berenstraat and has now expanded to 5 branches in the center of Amsterdam. The whole store looks like a lakeside hut. Its specialty is that it only provides pancakes, coffee and other drinks, and uses fresh ingredients that do not contain harmful colorings, flavors and preservatives. The special thing is that you can choose gluten-free pancakes. . When you come so far, be sure to order the Dutch Pancake, which is about 8-9 inches in size and priced around €15-€20. It looks similar to the salty pancakes in Hong Kong. Therefore, I intuitively believed that the salty flavor was more special and delicious, so I finally ordered the spinach, cheese, and omelette flavors. As expected, the pancakes are crispy on the outside and smoky and chewy on the inside. Add a cup of Cappuccino and sit outside while eating and emptying your stomach. It’s quite enjoyable😀☺️😉🤪. The American pancake is like a Japanese pancake. You can keep it and try it again when you return to Hong Kong. In fact, they also have a kind of pancake called POFFERTJES, which is a kind of small Dutch waffle, which is a common and authentic dessert in the Netherlands. Unfortunately, this store does not offer it. It is only available in Westermarkt and Aan't IJ branches, which is a pity. The entire store only accepts credit card payments, not cash. There is a restroom on the lower floor of the store for guests to use for free. The business of this store was very good. There were about ten people queuing up that Saturday, and they had to wait for 15 minutes to be seated.

What a let down, last time I visited my review was a 10/10, it's gotten lazy. All the American style pancakes are plain and the topping comes on the side? Here is a photo from this visit (bananas on the side) Vs my visit in 2018. Just sad the bananas weren't in the pancakes. They were so dry this time.

Dutch pancake house. They have a special recipe for the batter and they are very good. I had a traditional one with bacon cheese and apple which was well crispy and yummy. My friend had a spinach and fried egg pancake. Drinks were good as well. Free keyring as we left. It should be noted these are meals, not snacks and prices reflect that and are city prices too

Also wir waren dort an unserem letzten Tag unseres Amsterdam Urluabs. Der Urlaub war großartig und wir dachten wir schließen ihn hier gebührend ab. Leider in Teilen nicht wie erwünscht gelungen. Die Schlange vor der Lokalität ließ unsere Erwartung in die Höhe treiben. Service drinnen, freundlich trotz viel Hektik und Zulauf. Ambiente solide. Nun zum Eigentlichen: die Pancakes leider nur bedingt so gut wie wir sie die Tage zuvor hatten. Auch die Zutaten deutlich zu süß. Das ist einfach nur pure Süße ohne weiteren Geschmack. Das ist wirklich schade, da wir uns viel mehr erhofft hatten. Die erhöhten Preise sind dementsprechend leider nur bedingt gerechtfertigt. Ich will hier aber nichts allzu schlecht reden. Gehen sie hin und machen Sie sich selbst ein Bild. Wir würden hier aber nicht mehr einkehren!

One of the most delicious pancakes I've ever eaten. They have a very wide and varied gluten-free menu, with salty and sweet Dutch pancakes. They take into account all the necessary care for those allergic to gluten. The only bad thing: the prices seemed excessively high to me. I ordered 2 pancakes and 1 water and I spent 45 euros. Of course, the quality of the products is very good. I recommend going early to avoid waiting in line.

bacon/cheese 15.5, cappuccino 4.1 I went at 9:30 in the morning and the restaurant was about 90% full. There is also outdoor seating, so I recommend eating outside when it's warm. Dutch pancakes have a chewy texture that resembles a thick crepe batter, which I think Japanese people like. I ate a meal-based meal for breakfast, and it was salty enough to fill my stomach. There is also a sweet menu, so you can enjoy it according to your taste. At first, they brought me the wrong menu, but when I pointed it out, they responded well and told me to wait 5 minutes, which left a good impression.

This restaurant was recommended by family and was worth the visit. Be aware it’s quite small and you may have to wait when it’s busy. We chose crepes with different fillings that were delicious and round about us those who chose American style appeared to be tucking in with gusto. It is situated at the rear of the main train station and is easy to find. Highly recommended

Great place for pancakes the way you want them.

Decent pancakes, but very very slow service. Had to ask multiple times for cutlery and napkins finally tried to go get our own and the server noticed and brought some. We were seated outside and didn’t want our pancakes to get cold. Took a long time to get a cup of coffee and a Dutch pancake.
