A Dutch pancake hotspot I stumbled upon by chance. It was around 11 AM, and since the line was short, I went right in. Only a corner seat was left, which was a bit uncomfortable. The people next to us were eating messily, and trash even spilled onto our table. The staff looked busy, but they took orders and payments quickly. The coffee arrived 5 minutes after ordering, and the pancakes came out in 15 minutes. It was tastier than other famous pancake places, and the atmosphere was great too.

A very bad experience. We came as a couple to sit on the terrace. The first row of tables outside was occupied, but all the other rows were empty. However, the staff refused to let us sit at the empty tables, claiming that only the first row was open. Faced with this completely illogical and unjustified refusal, we felt discriminated against.

If you're looking for a quick and tasty stop near Amsterdam Central Station, this is a great choice. The restaurant is only a short walk from the station, making it an easy place to grab a bite while exploring the city. The service was friendly and efficient, and although it can get quite busy during lunchtime and in the afternoon, our food arrived quickly. They offer a wide selection of both sweet and savoury pancakes, catering to different tastes. We usually go for sweet pancakes, but this time my husband decided to try a savoury pancake. He enjoyed it and thought it was quite nice, although he still prefers sweet pancakes overall! The portions are generous, so if you're visiting with children, I'd recommend sharing a pancake as they can be quite filling. A lovely surprise at the end of our meal was receiving a little clog keychain, which was such a cute touch and a nice souvenir to remember our visit. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great location, tasty pancakes, generous portions, and a thoughtful little gift to finish the experience. 😊

Didn't get to eat here, so not sure how the food is. They can only do gluten free OR vegan, not gluten free AND vegan. I need both unfortunately.

Not worth it... Price-performance ratio is unacceptable. Service is nonexistent. Very chaotic.

Honestly, it's not worth the price; it's very expensive, the place isn't comfortable, and the bees around you are very annoying. Frankly, it was a bad experience.

Excellent, friendly service - so lovely. However, the dutch pancakes were really dissapointing. It was like a blob of mush in the middle of the pancake, especially the apple crumble one. Honestly, would not come here again for the pancakes but the service was great as the staff were really polite.

Pancakes were great, so was the peach lemonade. Staff were friendly, and even with a line out the door we got seated quickly. One of the staff gave us a little souvenir once we finished which was very kind :)

We liked the atmosphere in this cafe, the only downside was the large number of people.

Pros: excellent location near the central station and solid pancakes. Plenty of choices including lactose and gluten free options. They give you a complementary branded clogs keychain which was cute. Cons: They charge you 4.5 euros for filtered tap water which they serve in their branded bottles. Too expensive (12 eur for a plain pancake) for the type and quality of the product.

Even if you are in Amsterdam for a short trip, this is a must check out. Everything is great everytime. I miss having it everytime that I think about it.

One of the few gluten-free places that leaves a lot to be desired. We waited over half an hour for our order, and the waiters were inattentive to our table. Because the food took so long, our drinks got very cold, and we had to order new ones because they couldn't heat them up. Which, of course, they didn't charge us for... In short, €75 seems like a lot for what it was.

The dough seemed to be in existential fear, too afraid to taste of anything at all. The bacon: a tragedy in several acts. Crispness? Non-existent. Flavor? On the run. You could say: This bacon was so bad, it almost needed an apology card. The staff: absolute heroes. Friendly, attentive, almost too good for the culinary situation. You felt welcome, even if the bacon didn't.

42€ The worst place I’ve ever been. People here don’t even finish their food because it’s so bad. Something happened just now: the female waitress was literally digging through the trash with her bare hands. Then she took the freshly prepared food and brought it to the customers. This is absolutely disgusting. Why is it so difficult to wash your hands before doing something like that? There are absolutely no sanitary standards here. They brought the bill without our knowledge because there was a long line outside and there were no free tables, and they came up to us and said, "Can I bring you the bill? At least we haven't finished eating yet." Even at that moment, the girl was picking through the trash can. She had tattoos. You can see it on the cameras. Food: 1/10 Hot chocolate arrived warm: 2/10 We haven't even finished eating yet when they brought us the bill hahaha

Walked up and waited to be seated as the sign outside prompted. I waited for around 10 minutes. Every single server inside made eye contact with me at some point. No one approached, acknowledged my waiting, or gave me any confirmation that they would seat me. Not the best first impression. Others waiting behind me also found it distressing. The pancakes were not bad. As a vegan, I went to this place because they advertised a vegan menu. To their credit, they make a good Dutch pancake. Even still, I was hoping for some more inclusive options. Plant-based eggs, plant-based cheese, or plant-based bacon. Overall it was ok. I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend it, and I don't plan to return.

In the summer, it gets very hot inside as there's no air conditioning. The outdoor seating is better; you can see the canal and the train station. Most of the staff are young, but they serve you quickly and efficiently.

Slow service, we waited 40 minutes for 4 pancakes with people who arrived 15 minutes after us and were served first, 45 minutes in total and we gorged ourselves in 5 minutes so as not to miss the boat. We didn't like the pancakes themselves, they were greasy and left a bad taste in the mouth.

This place is lovely a little pricey but lovely servers however it claims to be very vegan friendly by I only saw two vegan options both of which were quote simple bit still at least they offer vegan food! Sweet and savoury pancakes and the staff are so lovely!

A gem just right at the heart of the city. The staffs were friendly. I got seated after 10 mins as they are packed. The location is just perfect right in front of the canal and the Amsterdam Central. You can take cool photos while waiting for the food. The food arrived after 15 mins. The coffee is average, but the pancakes that I had was a STAR. It was sooooo good!

We had just landed and, as we were leaving the train station, decided to grab breakfast without looking online, just to browse around. We popped in without much expectation and were initially surprised by the prices; the pancakes seemed a bit steep. However, we were quickly won over by the variety of sweet and savory options, the generous portion sizes, and the prompt service. Incidentally, we were seated right away; there was no line, but by the time we left, we saw a line of customers already formed. Since it was our first meal of the day, we initially opted for the savory pancakes. The waiter recommended we try the seasonal special, and it turned out to be truly incredible. The portion was enough for both of us and left some for the kids for dessert. The children were especially pleased with the shoe keychains they give customers when they pay for their order.

Got the Dutch Pancake with banana and Stroopwaffle, I was not disappointed at all, the chocolate sauce was lovely and warm and served at the side so I could choose how much to drown my pancakes, will definitely be back again

Service is what has let us down. First we got served plates for a different table. Then when our food arrived it was missing a plate. The server had to ask what we were waiting for, and after having waiting for 5-10 minutes I had to walk up to the counter to enquire on the missing dish. I got a nonchalant “it’s being prepared in the kitchen”. After another 5 minutes, when the rest of us had already finished, the plate arrived. Not one word of apology. Really really poor for a pancake that costs €20 each. Oh, and it was debatable that the iced tea had been anywhere near a fridge….

We waited at the "please wait to be seated" sign behind another couple who were repeatedly ignored. It took about ten minutes for anyone to speak to us, despite plenty of free tables and a staff member who seemed far more interested in sorting cutlery and tidying her greeting stand than actually serving people. When our turn came we were told to take a table inside. We asked why we couldn't use one of the empty outdoor tables and were met with sharp words, then begrudgingly told we could choose a seat. Ordering took three attempts to get her attention, only to be told that none of the cold drinks on the side menu were available except orange juice. The pancakes were fine. The bacon served with them was stone cold and inedible. Decent pancakes don't make up for service this indifferent, and there are much nicer options within a short walk.

I loved this place! Me and my partner had gluten free pancakes, two coffees and oranges juices…and it was delicious! The restaurant is well decorated and welcoming, selling some merchandise too. We managed to get a table before it got too busy, staff were in a rush but understandable and still friendly.A bit overpriced if I need to make a tiny comment, but I would recommend and I’ll visit again when I’m in Amsterdam. I waited outside for an hour in the rain to get in, but first of all, the staff were incredibly unfriendly. Even though it was crowded, they kept passing the order back and forth, causing delays. When I asked to pay, they just kept saying "okay" three times, so someone else ended up taking the bill. Overall, the portions were generous and the food tasted decent, but the price was too high compared to my overall satisfaction with the place. 60 euros for two pancakes and two coffees... I don't think I need to go there again.

Unfortunately, very disappointing. The prices are absolutely unjustified and far too expensive. €20 for burnt bacon, an egg with the shell on, and boring pancakes 🤨 The cappuccino was in a tiny cup (about the amount of two espresso shots) and they wanted €5 for that – outrageous! 😤 The banana pancakes weren't good either. One of the waitresses was also incredibly unfriendly and inattentive; she didn't bring us any cutlery. In our opinion, this is a tourist trap 😒 The one star is for the free keychain we received.

The food is good and they have many gluten free options. Although the sign at out front says wait to be seated, we were ignored for several minutes and finally had to go in to get someone's attention. Ordering also took some time.

If you come here to eat poffertjes it is the wrong place. There is no poffertjes here, it is written in the menu though. It is a bit deceptive in that sense. The prices are higher than the average. A pancake is around 18-24 euros depending on the includings. But the pancakes were delicious.

All of us enjoyed the pancakes, great choice. Gluten free options. Only wish we could visit again soon.

The staff was very friendly. But if you are vegan, don't come here. My friend and I got lured in by the very big vegan sign; we assumed there would be many options for us. There were only two, which we had to alter to make them vegan. We ordered both options, and both were very mediocre (the pesto on the side was nice though). If you are vegan, go to a different place; it's not worth your money.

The pancakes were nice! However, i was very disappointed because i came there for poffertjes and only found out they don't make them at this location when I was already seated at the table. The waitress was rushing me to make an order and was unfriendly so I didn't have much time to think. I must say, the rest of staff were really nice! In general: food very nice but I won't return since overall experience was upsetting :(

First you’re gonna queue. Then after quite a while (25 minutes to get some Benedict salmon pancakes) you will get what is to me really low quality food. Bad smoked salmon, you know that extremely salty one, eggs that look like they’re coming rather out of plastic factory than a chicken and then a very oily pancake which is in fact a crepe and not a pancake. Why would you stand in line for this ?

Delicious, sweet, buttery pofferjies!

The food was okay, but the experience was poor – I felt like an intruder, not a customer (thanks to the nice waiter, who was the only one who showed any interest while I waited outside for a table and it was unclear if there was anything to be done). At the end, the waitress smashed a bottle of Coke next to me, so it was "great" that I also received my drink, along with my order. It's a shame it was on my feet and without even a "sorry."

Ok pancakes, good variety of toppings, but a bit of a tourist trap. The service was slow and probably quite inexperienced, always looking down and not looking for the customers needs. The pancakes are also very pricey.

We needed food and this place, inevitably by a canal popped up. I had salmon on my pancake and it was excellent. The staff were great and the service excellent. I'd happily go back for more.

2nd time in Amsterdam and probably the worst service I’ve received. Staff seem bored and uninterested just wondering about. Got a table straight away but waited about 30 minutes for someone to acknowledge us and take our order. Food took around another 30 minutes, and then another 20 mins as the food they brought to the table was wrong and when you let them know you’ve received the wrong food, they look offended. Huge disappointment

The mimosa was small and overpriced. The dutch pancakes were more of a slightly thicker crepe. However delicious, they were also overpriced.

Stopped in for an iced vanilla latte, and it was excellent. Smooth espresso, just the right amount of vanilla, and a great pick-me-up while exploring Amsterdam. I’d definitely stop by again for a coffee.

At first, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The restaurant is quite small, there was a long queue outside, and I was a little surprised by the prices. But once I tasted the pancakes, I completely understood why people were willing to wait. I had a savory pancake, and it was honestly one of the best I’ve ever eaten. The ingredients were fresh, the flavors were amazing, and the portion was very satisfying. Now I understand why this place is so popular. Yes, it’s a bit expensive, but the quality is absolutely worth it. I will definitely be coming back.

We chose this place because it was very close to the hotel and offered gluten-free pancakes. There was a line to get in, so we figured it was a popular spot. We went for dinner, but it was closed, so we went for lunch the next day. The service was excellent and the atmosphere very pleasant. The pancakes were good, although a bit too buttery for our taste. It's a matter of personal preference, because it was clear they were well-made. The drinks surprised us with their price: they almost ended up costing as much as one of the pancakes. I'm glad we found it, although if we go again, I'd try a different place.

We had breakfast here for two days. There was no wait (weekdays). The pancakes are excellent, as is the service. Unfortunately, it's not exactly cheap; for three people with drinks, we paid around €75.

Pancake place close to the train station. The dutch pancakes are really good here. Make sure you're hungry because they are big and very filling.

The feeling you get here is that they make a fool of customers. No one came to help us, and it seemed like we were just a nuisance. The service was disrespectful and not customer-friendly at all. That is not how you treat customers. I will definitely post a negative Google review about this.

Great place for delicious pancakes. We had the traditional apple pancakes with ginger syrup and the savory salmon and egg pancakes, they were both so delicious. The atmosphere was great and the service was prompt and courteous.

Crazy hot inside this place in the summer, really just wanted a cold water. I order a water with ice and none of us got ice, had to ask for ice again and got three pieces because the cup is so small. Also not sure if the waitress mixed our coffees up, one had oat milk, one had regular milk and she didn't specify. Food was good and glad they have vegan options but service was poor.
