Pancakes just as juicy as the prices

We ordered some delicious pancakes for breakfast, made with quality ingredients. Given the heatwave, we asked for a glass of water and they brought us filtered water in a personalized bottle. After traveling all summer through European cities—Lyon, Rome, Barcelona, ​​Vienna—where just for sitting down at a table they offered you water in a pitcher or glass bottle, I find it outrageous that they charge more than 4 euros. To go to the bathroom you have to go through the kitchen, and there's no air conditioning. Conclusion: they overcharge for what they offer.

The pancakes were pretty good, and the takeout was generally quick, too. The coffee was made with caramel. (The only thing is, it would have been nice if they'd handed the food to go in a box instead of on a tray.) 🥞👍🏻

Great pancakes in a cool location - but look out for the prices (not published in online menu). Surprised we paid the 60+ Euro for two pancakes and 4 cups of coffee. Thats the equivalent of $96 CAD.

The shop in Block 9 isn't big, but the food is delicious, and the customizable combinations are a big plus. It's just a little warm inside. 😂

Granted we went during a heat wave, but they didn’t have air conditioning and it was hot. It’s a small place and not particularly cute, but also not terrible. My two friends enjoyed the pancakes, but I guess I’m just not a fan of crepes. You also could only get eggs fried and each one was 3.5 Euros! The staff was super nice, but they didn’t not bring us our entire order.

It's a great little Cafe near Westerkerk and Anne-Frank-Huis. You can order pancakes as big as a real good italian pizza, baked with fruits, ham or rucola. We've taken one with apple and one with banana and chocolate sauce. They were very delicious, even the selfmade lemonade is very good. You should take a visit to Pancakes!

I have had the WORST Pancakes of my life here. The worker was so unfriendly and treated me if I was dumb (even though I am not). The Pancakes had no Taste whatsoever and even the banana was tasteless ( how they were able to find tasteless bananas is beyond me ). The Ambiente is also very horrible because ist is next to the busiest street in the whole of Amsterdam. And the worst thing is that I paid 20€ for this tasteless mush of horribleness.

When you're craving something tasty, you naturally go to Pancakes, because they offer a vegan and lactose-free option, and for someone with lactose intolerance, this is perfect.

The mini pancakes here are delicious; we compared them to other Instagrammable spots. We stumbled upon this place by chance for a coffee break and have no regrets—the mini pancakes were delicious, airy, and perfectly cooked inside. A small terrace offers a lovely view of the neighborhood.

The food was average and the prices were quite expensive for what was offered. The staff was not particularly helpful.

Luckily, there was no waiting line even on the weekend. I ordered the pancake with goat cheese, which was decent but not particularly memorable, and the amount of ingredients felt quite limited. The sweet pancake with banana and strawberries was disappointing, especially the chocolate, which was far below my expectations. On top of that, paying around €21–22 for a pancake felt excessive. Overall, the place seemed quite overrated and overpriced for the quality offered.

Beware for tourists !We visited Pancakes Amsterdam and while the place is very cute and the food initially tasted great, our experience took a really unfortunate turn. About two hours after eating their savoury pancakes, both of us became very sick. This was the only meal we had that morning, so it was quite clear where the issue came from. My husband was even vomiting outside shortly after, and I personally felt unwell for the next two days. It ended up ruining a big part of our trip to Amsterdam, which was really disappointing. It’s such a shame because the atmosphere and concept are lovely, but after this experience, I would not feel comfortable coming back.

Great place to get authentic and high quality Poffertjes and Dutch Pancakes. My only complaint is that the pricing for water was 4 euros which seems to be a bit unreasonable.

The pancake that I got was nice, it was the one with the apple crumble, raisins and cinnamon. The service was also satisfying, the staff was welcoming and always asked if everything was okay. They even gave a free souvenir at the end! It was a Keychain with a Dutch shoe and their name on it. So cute! I would definitely recommend going there!

A lot google reviews already complaint your rude staff there. It is obvious that you did not take this thing seriously and make an action. The male stuff also asked me to wait outside, I mean I don’t mind, but his attitude was bad. when inside got plenty of seat. He was telling me: I am asking you to wait outside, would you mind or you mind? I am here to pay the money to have a lunch not pay the money to receive a shitty service from nowhere.

Completely overpriced, small, and we had to wait over 30 minutes for our food.

The topping weren't all lactose free. So if you are looking for a complete experience where you can add everything then I wouldn't recommend it. I give the pancake with bananas a 5/10 and the other one a 6,5/10.

Such a cozy little place in a beautiful area. We visited in March, and even then it was warm enough to sit outside and just enjoy the moment. The pancakes were absolutely amazing, and the coffee was just perfect. One of those places where you simply feel good. Highly recommend ❤️

Staff are rude and behave like they’re selling the world’s best pancakes. When I asked the waiter how they handle the queue, he replied, “I use my brain.” Given the attitude, that answer said enough. If you have any self-respect, you won’t come here. Food is bad, value for money is worse. A pointless stop in Amsterdam—only useful as a story to warn others not to go.(For the owner/brand: if brand reputation matters, it may be worth addressing the rude behavior of the waiting staff.

We had a very disappointing experience at this brunch place today. There were clearly available tables inside, and we were told to wait 10 minutes, which was fine. However, despite the cold weather, the staff insisted that we wait outside, and the attitude of the waiter was rude and dismissive. What made the experience worse was the way we were treated compared to other customers. It felt like we were deliberately treated differently, which came across as discriminatory and deeply uncomfortable. No customer should be made to feel unwelcome or disrespected in this way. Good food or location cannot make up for poor service and a lack of basic respect. I hope the management takes this seriously and provides proper staff training.

The pancakes there are really delicious. It's worth going there for breakfast or brunch. And there are so many different kinds. The service was friendly and attentive. It rained that day and was very chilly, which made it quite unpleasant in the restaurant, as most of the patrons couldn't manage to close the door.

we were invited by my sister to try this shop. the food quality is good, it was very fresh and warm pancake, but i have preference over to the street pancakes . this pancake for me is more crumbly., which i dont like much. not saying its bad ..it just that i dont preferred crumbly version.

The service was quite disappointing. The restaurant was empty when we arrived, so we chose to sit inside and opted for a larger table given the available space. However, the server abruptly asked us to move to a smaller table and appeared to be in a poor mood throughout our interaction. Given the unpleasant experience, we decided to leave and dine elsewhere.

I brought my girlfriends here because I felt nostalgic, haven't been here since 2014 I think. But this time the experience was subpar: not only a woman at the table next to us found a piece of plastic wrap in her pancake, we asked for 3 goat cheese pancakes and one apple crumble one to share and got only 2 pancakes. We thought we clarified and asked for 2 more when these came, and after another 10 min we got only one of the 2 ordered. We just gave up in getting our order complete. We also had to ask for water like 5 times

Honestly, their Mini Pancake is legendary and deserves it. Numbers 8 and 40 on the menu. Don't miss it.

The staff were all so so kind!! And the food woah! I love pancakes and this was 10/10. I ordered the meal deal plus mini chocolate pancakes. It is not expensive nor cheap its right on the middle, but the food size and quality is worth what you pay for.
