It is cozy and the staff is nice

When I think of Café de Jeugd, I think of lots of energy. (Good!) I regularly go there privately, and I've also been there with a tour group. The terrace is great, even off-season, with Oosterpark across the street. Inside, depending on the evening, there's a cozy games/darts atmosphere or a lively dance vibe. The staff is enthusiastic, and that also "helps." :) Their own beers with those cheerful bottles come from a place I know well as an East guide: from the Bajeskwartier; from "Levenslang" (Life Slang). Amazing bar for the drinks and food! Super delicious cocktails. Martijn was very helpful and considerate! Made our night so worth it.

Delicious spring rolls and good beer!

Amazing beer, pretty bad food. Also we asked what the size of the pitcher is and they told us it's 3L, and when it arrived it was only 1.5L. It is pretty expensive, but it has some of the best beers in the Netherlands

This is the umpteenth time we've wanted to sit here for a beer and they're still closed. It's already quite remarkable that they don't open until 4:00 PM while the surrounding terraces are already packed, but today they opened at 5:00 PM for no reason. Apparently, the owner isn't exactly a business owner. It's also evident that they never brew a decent new beer. They've been offering the same flavors for years. The food and snacks are also exorbitantly expensive. It's all very unfriendly. Fortunately, there are more, and especially better, beer tents in the area!

My friends and I had just arrived in Amsterdam as part of our Euro-trip and this was the first place we stopped for food as it was across from our accommodation. We went in with no expectations, and left extremely happy with the amazing service, great beer and best food so far on our travels! The two men who served us were very friendly and helpful, with one of them even emailing us a helpful list of things to do (and tourist traps to avoid!) - we were so grateful, and their kindness really set the tone for the rest of our time in the city. Cozy place, sun until 6:30 in may. Really recommend the bartender Iris, she made our evening and is truly one of the best waitresses in Amsterdam.

Loud and lively pub with food, local clientel, good own beers on tap. Not a great place to eat because it's too loud to order properly and the food is not great.

Stumbled upon this place by chance and was really glad I stopped in. They have a great menu that covered your classics bar bites while also having some unique bites like the halloumi wrap that was really tasty. The multiple floors have really cool distinct vibes and I can see this being an awesome place to come with a group.

32 snacks of appetizers for 32.95. And no top quality snacks, but frikandel and B-brand bitterbal and bami slices and so on. Really way too expensive if you ask me. Beer is nice

We had so much fun here! Local brewed beer and awesome fries! The fries was amazing and everything we needed after a long day of walking! Our waitress was so cool. We joked a lot with her, and after encouraging her to giving a speech after successfully lighting a candle (she had trouble) we made her a napkin flower and a tip! None of us were drunk only happy and joking 😉❤️ Worth a visit!

Me and a buddy were pushing each other a bit, we got kicked out straight away (without warning). Outside we were threatened not to come. Security guards are more concerned with their ego than their job.

I was treated disrespectfully. Never once got what I wanted. The boy serving with brown hair seemed antisocial. Dropped drinks several times and made no effort to clean it up.

Erg gezellig, leuke populatie mensen (wel veel van buiten Amsterdam). Service snel en adequaat. Alleen de uitsmijter was niet zo vriendelijk en geduldloos (zie foto voor herkenning).

We were able to organize a super surprise party for my brother who turned 30. Both the staff at the office that I had contact with and the staff on site, all great! We think along with you, are extremely service-oriented and of course the beers taste excellent. So if you are still in doubt about celebrating your birthday or surprise here, just book quickly!

Very nice cafe! Very pleasant and we were helped quickly. The staff was very polite and regularly checked if we wanted a new drink. They also have a wide selection of drinks to try.

We were in this bar with a small group of friends. I knew from a while time ago that there are rooms in the back where you can sit and hang out, so went there and got a beer at the bar. Then a staff member came up to us telling us this was a private event. I told her sorry and that we did not know. My friend, who does not speak Dutch, smiled at her (no clue what was going on). Her response was something along the lines of ‘don’t play these games, you guys know what you are doing. You need to leave now’. Very uncalled for hostile energy. If you want to prevent people from entering a room with a private event, perhaps hang a sign on the door to make things clear :)

Toptent! Lekkere tap biertjes van eigen brouwerij en sfeervolle tent waar je in het weekend ook kunt uitgaan. Een favoriet en aanrader!

Doorgaans top, maar helaas kan niet al het barpersoneel je zien. Daardoor is het risico tot uitdroging groot. Wees gewaarschuwd als je 1.96m lang bent en een goddelijk lichaam hebt!

Vanavond lekker een drankje gedaan bij de eeuwige jeugd. Bier is wel lekker, Wijsneus bijvoorbeeld is prima. Bediening is vlot. Naast ons tafeltje stond een doos die leek op een rattenval. Buiten werd gerookt op plekken waar een bordje hing dat roken verboden was, daarom al eerder vertrokken.

Uitermate goed ontvangst en eigenlijk DE plek om iets te vieren. Personeel is extreem attent, vooral voor Amsterdamse begrippen, altijd oog voor een leeg glas en zonder gepush. Bier lekker en goede happen.

Lekker gegeten en gedronken! Vriendelijk personeel en leuke sfeer! Leuke kaart met lekkere vega opties. Nacho’s en bitterballen gegeten en dat was heerlijk! Het ènige minpuntje, maar daar kan het café zelf eigenlijk niets aan doen, is dat er buiten een behoorlijke riool lucht was. Kan natuurlijk ook iets tijdelijks zijn: wij waren hier nu voor het eerst.

I spent about 3 weeks in Amsterdam right on Tweede Van Swindenstraat and De Eeuwige Jeugd was a good spot to relax and have a drink, I went a few times. The atmosphere during the day is pretty relaxed, not super full and a good place if you want to check out a local footballing experience at a bar. The beer is from a brewery of the same name and it's very good. At night it feels more like a real bar, with music and lights. Food wasn't anything special as it's not their focus but still good enough to accompany the beer. The burger itself was just ok, but the bitterballen were great, including the vegetarian ones for those who like that option. Definitely stop by the bathroom as the ambience with the globes is something unexpected but pretty cool.

Lekker bier. Jammer dat ze je op een woensdag avond niet eens aan de bar binnen een kwartier kunnen helpen. Ik wil ook gewoon een pilsje kunnen drinken na de voetbal.

Zit tussen hip en gezellig in. Goede prijzen voor je bier. Niet alle brouwsels vond ik even lekker.

Heerlijk café naast het Oosterpark. Gezellig voor avondje Ajax kijken, cocktails, karaoke en dans partijtjes in het weekend. 1 + 1 salmari en shoutout naar Luna! Zij is de echte topper van de bar!

Busy, vibrant, fun, friendly and good staff, great terrace, good bar food like burgers, pizza and loaded fries. Their own beers great, and good drinks all around. Not much more i could ask for.
