Sorel's Bar and Lounge in Vondelbuurt

We went for some beers and it was fantastic. Great service. Everything was perfect! Highly recommended.

Great ambiance, nice staff. Pricey (as expected of a hotel bar).

The food was forgettable. The Old Fashioned was mid. The service was suboptimal. We had to wave down the staff to put our requests.

While staying at a nearby hotel, my partner and I were recommended Bar TWLV for food and drinks. We visited at lunchtime, but found the menu quite limited – particularly for vegans, which was a bit disappointing for my partner. Instead, we decided to enjoy a few drinks. Bar TWLV, located within the Marriott Hotel, has a chic, upmarket décor and a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and the overall vibe was relaxed – perfect for a leisurely drink. Prices for alcoholic beverages were a touch higher than other nearby bars, but in line with the setting. We were happy with our experience and would consider returning. That said, with so many fantastic bars in Amsterdam, we wouldn’t necessarily rush back – though it’s certainly worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Me lo pasé de maravilla en este encantador bar. El personal era increíble y muy amable. Su hospitalidad era simplemente increíble. A saber, Rowella, Sayat y el Sheriff. Los tríos han sido tan hospitalarios y serviciales. Sin duda volveré a visitar este bar!

We stayed at this Marriott hotel for 2 weeks for the holidays and to experience Amsterdam. Everyone at this hotel was highly accommodating, but Aftab at the bar was exceptional with his service and attention to detail. We ate here several times and had cocktails numerous times and he treated us like family from day one. He made sure we were always taken care of even when it they were extremely busy during the New Years Eve celebration. I highly recommend this hotel and this Bar. Again Aftab was the key to a hands down 5 star experience at this hotel!!

Nice place to stop when it’s rainy but the service was awful (an hour between ordering and getting the food). The food was mediocre at best and almost cold when we finally received it. The beer was great.

I saw this place was promoted as a 'bourbon bar', but we stayed away from bourbon and had a great time anyway. The atmosphere is just really chill and laid-back. The cocktails were great and the chicken katsu was amazing. Excellent service from Kelly! When I visit Amsterdam again and don't go to a beer place, I will go here.

Amazing drinks from Sherif, one of the head bartenders at Sorel’s. I highly recommend you ask for creativity at the bar and you will be surprised and happy. Of course the food is great as well (order the fries with mustard). Sorel’s offers a quaint and comfortable atmosphere in a roomy dining/bar area.

I'm back after 7 years, I had a burger for dinner and it was spectacular, I recommend it, very well located, good desserts and friendly service.

The service was little too slow but maybe because it was a Friday night, the hamburger was perfectly cooked, juicy with aioli mayonnaise. Seasonal beer Texels had great flavor

This restaurant is the bar part of a hotel. We ordered Angus Beef Burger here and both the burger and the fries were delicious.

Aftab Sayat made our time in Amsterdam very enjoyable. Sorrels is in the Marriott where we stayed and so we finished off each day with cocktails and after exploring all day visiting so many restaurants and bars it was such a pleasure to see Aftab. Had a burger , salad and hotdog for my family. Average burger, salad had raw chicken and the hotdog was very poor. Expensive meal too. Get out of hotel for a meal

Came back to Marriot Amsterdam after a long while to find the staff as great as before! Service was excellent as I remembered! Bartender Aftab was as friendly and engaging as before! Will definitely come back again!

Amazing cocktails and delicious burgers! Great place to eat if staying at the Marriott and you are too tired to venture out. I ordered the burger with sweet potato fries and it was delicious. Seating is seat yourself and service was great.

Sorel's Bar and Lounge is a great place, the food is really good, and there are plenty of options available for drinks. The "Expats get together" they have there are really cool for meeting new people from all over the world

The bartenders at Sorel’s took very good care of us. Ly, Laura and Aftab mix excellent cocktails and were extremely friendly and helpful which is the reason we returned every afternoon of our stay.

Good for a hotel bar/restaurant. It was a seat yourself situation, but I still asked the bartender where I could sit, so was immediately handed menus. He came back over basically right as I closed the menus. I got a Hefeweizen and an IPA then I got the Reuben sandwich. The beers were good and cold in clean glassware. The sandwich was triple decker and I got it with a salad instead of fries. I do wish they would have kept the extra slice of bread and provided more meat. The only reason it's not five stars is because it took quite a while for the sandwich to come out. The kitchen seemed to be a bit slow.

Sharif has taken excellent care of us for a few days. The drinks are good, and the food is as good anything else we’ve found around here. It is calm and has a few of the best people watching tables around.

Solid bar. Kitchen closes at 11pm but the bar stays open. Good selection and friendly bar tenders.

We were seated at the bar, the guy mending the bar disappeared and Aftab took over and was so overwhelmed with many orders and requests. Thumbs up to him for trying his best to fulfill our orders and working at top notch speed.

Sherif is a cocktail king! 👑 I've never had a better whiskey sour. He makes an old fashioned the old fashioned way. Polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. My only disappointment is that I won't be able to enjoy his expertise at home.

Sherif at the bar fixed me up a "Bitter Orange Zesty" and I loved it. If you are a fan of Negroni you will love that drink too. Great service and ambience in the lounge, recommend 👍

Cocktails are full of ice; they are very light and they are overpriced. The location is good, the music is quite ok.

Delicious tikka masala. My wife had bitterballen and we shared a vegetable and naan plate with baba ghanoush, hummus and salsa dish.

Nice bar based in the Marriott Hotel. Courteous and welcoming staff, and a wide range of whiskey, gin and rum. Tasty cocktails and good pricing points.

I love this place for a romantic evening with your lover. It is quiet with nice music on the background. Decent selection of wines, good service and clean bathrooms. It is located inside the hotel. On the weekend, it occasionally offers disco music for those interested.
